My first time coming here. I walked right by it--it is on the eastern corner of the alley. When I walked in there was already a line of people getting their different forms of ice cream.What I found was that Flavor Brigade has some items that arent usually available on the West Coast. They have Italian Ice--especially for those that arent into dairy or gluten-free. They also carry frozen custard. Some people like to have layers of frozen ice and frozen custard. They also carry Organic Ice Cream from Straus Family Creamery.I wasnt super hungry so I tried their Wookie Cookie filled with Chocolate Ice Cream--pretty tasty--which they make in small batches.

I love this spot every, since it opened. My kids always ask me to stop in everytime we visit my moms salon around the corner. Im glad to see they are still in business after the pandemic.If you love something sour like I do they got you covered. If you got a sweet tooth, that custard is whats calling you. I like both sour & sweet. I highly recommend trying the 2nd Street. I got the green apple with white custard this time & it does it for me everytime I stop in.Perfect for the heat wave or just to fulfill your icy taste buds any day of the week!!!

Our family loves this place. Ices are some of the best Ive had, being from the east coast. They also helped out with local schools and community events, back when we were able to attend those.

Be gentle during quarantine - the workers are by themselves and dont get much of a break. The ice cream flavors are limited, since they have less time to make it. But there are so many good flavors, it hardly matters! As always, its the best ice cream out there!

Experienced racial bias here. They have a sign at the door that says one person at a time due to COVID. Caucasians appear to be exempt from this as three weeks ago, they allowed a whole group in. I tried to enter the store a few days ago and the server yelled You have to leave, only one person at a time! There was one other patron in the store on her way out. I left and will NOT be returning. Lastly, Ive never seen a person of color working there. If zero stars were an option, I would have chosen it.

You will get Better icecream If you freeze store bought juice.

Just the perfect thing. Had a lemon and a red raspberry ice late on a warm Saturday afternoon after going for a hike. Must have been a lull because there was no wait. Person helping was very friendly and helpful. Ices were great. Smooth and refreshing. Can’t wait to go back.

Our go-to treat spot! Convenient location with a parking lot in back as well as ample street parking. A short walk to Dimond Park. Great staff, delicious Italian ice, and my favorite custard soft serve. Would recommend the Second Street.

OK at best. The milk and cream flavor is prevalent but the rest of the flavor definitely underwhelms. There was no cookie dough flavor except in the actual (few) pieces of cookie dough. All the other flavors were the same. The floor desperately needed mopping. The service was average. The cashier seemed nervous. There were only about 8 ice cream flavors and a few slushy flavors.

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to give it a try. One bite into the blue velvet cake and I immediately became a fan. The cake was so moist and the frosting was so rich Mm Mm MMMM! I also tried the red velvet ice cream sandwich and I must say that combining the Ice Cream with Macaroons was a great idea. *snaps* for whoever thought of that one! ;) Im not from the area but next time I am in the area you know I will stop by this place!

Showed up 15 minutes after states opening on yelp and google and the doors were locked. I love your iris loan ice but you need to be more reliable with the hours. Especially for customers who don’t live close by. I live in Concord. If I hadn’t been in the area for something else already I would be pretty upset.

Always delicious. They have great flavor choices. I love that I can get something for my sweet tooth that doesnt feel too heavy!

Awesome Awesome Awesome! I grew up on the East Coast and this place brings me back to getting ice cream and Italian ice as a kid. Super friendly staff and great selection of treats. Get some frozen custard or water ice or ice cream there to enjoy right away but make sure to grab 7 wookie cookies for $10 to take home.

Organic ice cream @ its best, under $5, I CRAVE THIS SH%&! Italian Ice Mixed with the custard should be illegal its so addicting! I had caramel custard with green sour apple ice, i believe it was called a second street last time i was in there. STILL THINKIN ABOUT HOW DELICIOUS IT WAS! see ya there

Friendly staff, home-made ice cream & water-ice (Italian ice), tasty custard, & if you dont know what you want get try the caramel custard with sour apple water-ice. Trust me youll like it!

The Italian ice at flavor brigade is delicious and is always sufficiently frozen unlike the Ritas location in the area. The ice granules are small so it doest feel like a slushee. I would give this establishment a 5-star rating for the quality of the product, but one star was docked as they often run out of the flavors I want.

Its good as long as they have everything when u order Ive been there a few times with my kids n it seems like they r always out of some no milk for milkshake,no whip cream no vanilla ice cream,etc.

This place is great! Ritas is a pale imitation of actual Italian Ice. The horchata is exceptional. Do not pass this place up.

Italian ice is fine but i come here for the frozen custard. Extremely creamy and delicious, you wont be disappointed unless your watching your waistline lol.
