Normally this place is great. But I went there just now hoping to get a coffee & orange juice & the customer who is ahead of me & at the register is talking about underground water for 5 damn minutes. Meanwhile the line is getting longer.When you have a line building and its clear you have waiting customer save the chit chat for later!People have places to go and need to be there by certain times.Not cool at all!

Roast their own beans on premise? You get a true coffee experience. Their Ethiopian coffee makes for a sweet, balanced cup of coffee. Ive never experienced that taste at the other typical coffee house, like Starbucks or Peets for example.

Clean, simple yet modern looking coffee shop. The coffee is tasty.Easy to read and choose menu. The tables and chairs dont feel sticky.My wife and I found a couple of seats next to the bookshelves, they have plenty of books to keep you busy.The staff is super delightful yet chill.The coffee is awesome.. I had the Mexican mocha..I will definitely come here again.

Wonderful family owned cafe, serving a variety of foods and drinks. The internal decor and overall friendliness from everyone working there make this a desirable destination for anyone who wants to feel welcomed and enjoy their coffee at thw same time. Id recommended their empanadas, specifically the beef and swiss chard.

Good local find! Tried Ethiopian Hand Drip and was excellent! They say they roast beans almost daily and Ill be coming back to get varieties of beans. What I like about this place is that they roast small quantities and, thus, I expect good quality.

I have all my business meetings here. It is also a good place for stop and go. It is beyond just a coffee place, rather a beautiful space for community building. As a matter of fact, I am catching up with some folks there today.

I had a Guatemala black coffee. Great flavor and to top it off with a ham and cheese empanada. I also tried a chicken empanada with a caramel coffee and it was equally amazing. The girl at the counter was pleasant and so was the ambience of the coffee shop. It was a small coffee shop with beautiful art work.

Best place in Oakland to buy your coffee beans (along with Red Bay). I love their Honduras beans. Also excellent empanadas and bagel sandwiches.

There were 4 ladies working. All were very kind. I ordered a Pour Over coffee and asked what it was (they offered Drop as well).She pretty much tried to explain that it was coffee with hot water poured over it. I then asked how that was different from the Drip and explanation sounded like what she just said about Pour Over. She may have been new (young); no major thing. We were all there once. But...it took about 20 minutes to get my coffee. Lines of people had come and gone. I finally went up to inquire and its after that point I saw water being heated.Took far too long, but the coffee (Santana Blend) was fantastic!

I ordered up coffee for a meeting. It was delicious and stayed nice and hot in the loaner carafes. The location was convenient to return the carafes in the afternoon. Service was personal and excellent. Thank you!

I ordered a cup of coffee, but asked to sample it first, as it was a new brand to me, and it was cold. Apparently, it had been sitting there all day and they were still selling it. Not cool. Anyway, I ordered a poor over instead. It was the Columbian brand. It was not bad, nor was the service.

This place was awesome. Fast internet, great coffee, and the service was top-notch. The owner and baristas were a ton of fun to talk to and made this out-of-towner feel at home. Sadly, I never made it back there while I was in Oakland to sing with/for them, but if Im ever in the area again you can be sure Ill be back.

Im normally a black coffee person but the Mexican Mocha here is our go-to beverage. The empanadas are great. They have both veggie (chard) and meat options for the empanadas which is nice.

I walked in on Wednesday around lunch time and it was very mellow. Not many outlets for you to charge your phone. I looked at the menu and theres about 20 different options for coffee. Their specialty food is the empanada which is extremely delicious!. But it breaks the bank a little for five fifty they also have a cheaper option which is the bagel or the Pan Dulce. For the drink I had the Mexican Mocha which was also five twenty five which is the most expensive drink. overall very delicious but maybe get a deal on the empanadas like 2for 10?

Ok, let start off by saying im Greek, and being Greek we tend to view all things Greek as great and occupying the Center of the world lol. Well today i just walked into Cafe Santana and find that, the place of greatness will have to enthusiastically shared. First off i was greeted by super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I ordered the coffee cake, a levender latte and a Turkey sandwich, intending to snack on the coffee cake after my sandwich....i ate it within minutes, easily the most amazing coffee cake i have ever had, next the lavender latte!!! What can i say!! Cold over ice, simply perfect! Now im eating everything out of intended order because it was all to tasty to follow traditional eating protocol lol. The Turkey sandwich.....all gone, the bread was so fluffy and good, yum. Thats about it, a complete experience from the moment i walked in...now im going to have to get some coffee cake and another lavender latte to go! Bravo Santana!
