The office person, Erin, was very polite an informational to my questions and needs. The guys who came to look at my toilet issues were very nice, polite, clean, informed. It turns out, I needed a whole new toilet. They knew the one I wanted. They went an got it an installed in a timely manner. Cleaned up before leaving. I have used this company for over 10 years. I recommend them for all your needs. Be it, heating , A/C, plumbing, whole home generator, washer/ air scrubbers. You won’t be disappointed.

The gas company turned off my gas because of a gas leak. I called Norfolk Air on 10/21 and they found the leak and fixed the problem. The city inspected the work on 10/22 and the gas company turned on my gas later that day. It was a pleasure working with Taylor, Hans, Marvin, and Devin at Norfolk Air. Everyone was professional, courtesy, and eager to help with a positive attitude.

If youre on the fence, searching online to find the right company to help you out, dont hesitate to call Norfolk Air. We had a gas line leak, creating many inconveniences, and Norfolk Air was on it. Markland, our field technician, quickly diagnosed and repaired the gas leak! The office staff (Erin & Taylor) were amazing. Knowing that our situation wasnt great, they did everything possible to get the job assigned and was able to move our appointment up b/c Markland finished another job ahead of schedule. I should add, it was a Friday night! The invoice process was clear, fair, and my experience from top to bottom was professional. Thank you Norfolk Air!

I am extremely satisfied with the service from Norfolk Air Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing. The company went over and beyond with making sure we were made knowledgeable of the repairs needed. They were prompt on the scheduled day of the estimation, as well as the day of the repair work. The company was reasonable and offered several methods of collecting payment. I’d like to specifically shout out Marvin and David. They made the process of repair easy going and made sure we were satisfied with the work completed. They are definitely an asset to your company. We were so happy with the work done that we took advantage of the company’s Blue Ribbon program to maintain our heating and cooling system, as well as water heater. Thank you for your hard work!

Ive worked with hvac/plumbing/whatever you need services in the past. They all charge a service fee for coming out. Price of business; I understand. Tech shows up and looks at the unit. Maybe 10 minutes takes a few pictures and explains what he thinks is wrong. Great job explaining. Goes out to the truck to get an estimate. Total time in the truck was over 30 minutes. Came back with a reasonable estimate, but a $220 bill. Much higher than the service call I asked for. When I asked for an explanation, I was informed that it was a diagnostic chage....no hint of that when I made the call. I got charged $130 for no work done. My house is not better or more livable because of this visit. I will not be calling again.

I was so pleased with the excellent service provided today by David, who replaced a worn out garbage disposal and who efficiently installed a brand new one. He took the time to carefully explain to me how to effectively operate the new disposal and showed me techniques to prevent it from jamming. Justin came out on a Monday to give me an estimate on removing all of our radiators and prepping the boiler for removal. He was excellent and very detail oriented as every detail we discussed ended up on the estimate. I received the estimate that evening and was able to schedule a team to come out to do the work on Thursday of the same week I got the estimate. Matt was the lead tech on the project. He and Gordon did an incredible job. They arrived very close to the beginning of the window we were given and got straight to work. I was out of the house until about 12:30pm and was amazed with how quickly and cleanly they worked. When I got there, Matt gave me a rundown of what they had done and what was left without me asking. He walked me through what they had done, which was EXACTLY what the estimate said they would do verbatim. I didn’t really have any questions for him because he was very thorough and answered all of them in the rundown after they were finished. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They did exactly what they said they would in a timely and clean manner. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the job they did and they will now be my go to for any future projects. Great job guys!

Had such a bad experience.. Weve used Norfolk Air in the past and have had good luck previously, but this time around was a different story. We had a back up on our washing machine and needed someone to take a look at our drain pipe. We called Norfolk Air they came out and with a glance started to discuss having to take out the wall and replace the whole pipe.. Went on to then tell me it will be nearly $1800 bucks! Terrible service.. we wasted $89 for them to not even fully inspect/diagnose the issue or provide us a full detail quote in writing. We ended up doing DIY for less than $20 and resolved it ourselves. I do not recommend anymore and upset Chuck didnt ever get back to me!

I was coming home from the hospital after surgery and needed the AC in my home working and they were able to squeeze me in at the end of their day to accommodate. Justin was professional, friendly, and thorough. It was so nice coming home to working AC.

UPDATED: The owner called and expressed sincerest concern and apologies for our experience. He stated that it was not the normal experience that they want for their customers. We were assured the attitude received from one of the employees was far from normal for them. The other issues were discussed. I have adjusted my review from a one star to a three star review. While I greatly appreciate the outreach by the owner, because of our experience, I still cannot give a five star review. But overall, this company has redeemed much of what was lost through this situation. The conversation brought a little more peace of mind that the company we have used for 3.5 years was not as bad as our experience.Original review:My husband and I used Norfolk Air for over 3.5 years. Up until recently, they provided great service. They annually serviced our HVAC and cleaned our ducts. However, during this last annual inspection, they failed to noticed a leak that caused mold (we found it). Before we realized the mold or the leak, we had them come back within a week to also fix the lines in the crawl space. The technicians who came out failed to properly attach the lines back to the joists and left them sagging on the crawl space floor. This is when we also found the mold and leak that was coming from the air handler unit, which should have been found in the inspection. After calling the company to share our frustration and concerns, we were initially met with an immediate response to make it right. The crew came back out and fixed the sagging lines and fixed the leak of the air handler unit. During this process, one of the technicians made a hole in the dry wall with his arm. Norfolk Air is supposed to send a technician out tomorrow to fix the rather large hole made. Today, after speaking with the manager for the third time during these servicing, he changed his response and stated something along the lines of “we did you a favor by coming back and fixing the the drooping line and the leak”. But refused to take responsibility for the leak that was missed or the mold that was caused by it. Never have we been met with such poor customer service from a company that we’ve used, and definitely not from one we’ve used for several years. After today, we have terminated any future business with this company. While they once did excellent work and provided great customer service, they have become something far less. It’s disappointing and frustrating that a company would not teach quality work and owning mistakes when they are made. After over 3.5 years of service, we are done with them and cannot confidently recommend them to another person.

DJ and his helper just left my house with another job well done. They are really good with old people. When the Norfolk Air guy comes twice a year to check on the HVAC system they installed he even changes our air filters for free because we are too old to do it now. I have used this company for 15 years since I moved here. They keep me and my house from falling apart!

Always prompt, professional service. Technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. The scheduling coordinator is always wonderful and gets me the service and help I need asap. They call when they are 20 minutes away to confirm their arrival time. You also get text and email notifications. The text will have a photo of your technician so you know who is coming to service your home. I have used them for years for my hvac needs and am always pleased.

We shopped around and Norfolk Air provided us with the greatest level of service from review of current , new options, and ultimately outstanding delivery and install of the new. Sometimes in sales you get the good up front and the experience gets worse. Our sales end was great and the experience kept getting better! We would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone else

Despite some initial confusion about price for a repair, I spoke with a service manager who was more than helpful and absolutely willing to work with the pricing. I have yet to have an unfriendly tech come work on my AC units. They are constant professionals, friendly and more than willing to explain exactly what they are doing. Our heat pump system broke down and was very old. It used R22 refrigerant which is very expensive. It was time for a new system. We requested an appointment online after business hours on a weekend. By Monday around noon we had 4 quotes for different levels of systems so we could pick what was best for us. We requested a special coating to protect against salt air. That added a few days, but the system was installed within 7 or 8 days of us giving the go ahead, including the time to get the extra coating. The workers were very professional and cleaned up everything before they left. I have a shedding dog so the floors were probably cleaner when they left than they were when they arrived!

Next day service!!! Bill and Benny came out to work on my package unit that was only cooling my 1450 SQ FT, 1.5 story home to 75°F (checked with 2 different thermostats installed). They cleaned the condenser coils, identified a compressor/refrigerant issue, and had all repairs done within 2 hours. They answered all my questions honestly and truthfully and gave me tips and suggestions for keeping up in-between their visits. They left no more than an hour ago and my house temperature has dropped 5 degrees already!!! This companys Best annual package is well worth the investment.

Issue with ac unit (cosmetic issue really), had been quoted before from a different company that this was a 300 to 400 dollar job, which I know is chump change to most hvac companies. The original company was booked due to the summer and said they wouldnt be able to fix the issue until September. Again more of a cosmetic issue.Called Norfolk air and cooling thinking theyd have time to fix this. Well they were prompt with sending a tech but the tech had no idea how to fix the issue and was on the phone most of the appointment with someone who did. Tech stood around about 30 min just on the phone trying to find a tech to tell him how much to quote me. They were going to charge me almost double (almost 800) for the work. Told them no thanks.Called a different company that came out the next day and they quoted me 350 for the same work. But this tech actually went into the crawl space of the house to make sure the ducts were good to go as well and unfortunately found damage that needed to be fixed. I was upset this turned into a bigger job but now understood why it seemed like my unit never turned off, air was escaping from the ducts. Needless to say the new company got my business and a small job turned into a bigger job. I was happy to have gone with a different company.

Wes came out and was very professional and thorough after diagnosing our circuit breaker issue. He was on time and explained and showed me everything that needed to be fixed. I actually was able to understand what he was explaining to me. I’m not knowledgeable at all about this type of issue. He made sure we had no other issues and stayed to make sure everything (ac unit) was working properly. I highly recommend Norfolk Air if you have any issues. Called due to small steady stream of hot water from bathroom faucet even though knob off. Turned off water sources under sink, called this business and relayed issue. Intake person, Taylor told me $90 for service call and additional cost depending on issue. I specifically asked if their trucks stocked with faucets and Taylor stated yes or that I could go buy a faucet and theyd install. When technician arrived, showed him sink and asked if he had similar replacement. Han looked puzzled, stating no faucets on truck but he could go get one for $561 plus $90 service call or I could go get faucet and they would install for $361 + service call charge, but he would be unable to do that day. I immediately called office, spoke with Sarah, the office manager (who indicated she had listened to original call) and that I had been incorrectly told that their trucks were stocked with replacement items. Was told Plumbing Supervisor, Chuck Malone could address pricing. I listened to phone conversation between Chuck and Han with $651 cost reiterated and I asked for $450 to have them go get item and put in today. Mr. Malone said best he could do was $561 total and it would be done that day. He directed Hans to do so and emailed me paper work to sign. I was irritated to see email stated estimate $561 but also noted cost of $477 for member. I called Mr. Malone again stating he obviously could do better on pricing for an issue that was their error. I asked again for $450, but he would not budge. And within 10 minutes Mr. Malone was at my door to say they would be unable to perform work for me and Han had been redirected to other work. I immediately went to EXPRESS PLUMBING SUPPLY on E. Bayview Blvd., described issue to John. Only needed a part that cost $7.98. John told me how to replace part in knob of faucet. So grateful to EXPRESS PLUMBING SUPPLY and will NOT recommend Norfolk Air Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical who I view as price gougers. EXPRESS PLUMBING SUPPLY saved me $553.02 !!!!

TOTALLY WASTED $800 and my AC was not fixed at all. l was told by the technician to replace transformer which is about $400 labor and parts. it sis not worked ao he said replaced the thermostat because its bad.. STILL DID NOT WIRK.. lastly he said replace the heat pump and ac controller board AND STIL DID NOT FIX IT! AT THIS POINT HE SAID REPLACE The HVAC system now because its grounded and he cannot exactly tell which one is causing it...AT THE END I BURNED close to $1000 AND NO AC.. so do yourself a favor, find another reputable HVAC company and ask them right away if you can get your money back if they cannot fix it... and dont simply agree with the technician to replace multiple parts because it means they are just guessing and they do not know whats wrong with your system..

I have a maintenance contract with Norfolk Air. Bill and Bennie came out to perform the semi-annual servicing of the system. While they were out we had them look at a cooling issue weve been experiencing with the system. They identified all the items that caused the cooling issue to include a couple of issues with original installation of the system. These technicians were very thorough, took the time explain to us what the issues were and even provided pictures to me so I could understand (I wasnt there at the time of the servicing). I would highly recommend Bill and Bennie with Norfolk Air for your HVAC needs.

The AC of my mini-split wasn’t cooling. They assessed the problem quickly & provided me with options. Once I decided what I wanted, the repairs were completed quickly. The price was quite reasonable. The only negative (& I consider this a very small negative) was they weren’t on time- they had provided a 2 hour window of when they would arrive but arrived after that period. Since they had my cell, it would have been good to receive a text saying they were running late.

Always dependable.During my annual inspection Cassidy discovered that my AC in the addition had low freon levels. Since the unit is working but reading low I asked if that meant it was a small leak and he agreed that is most probably the case. He recommended a sealant treatment. Not cheap but not like replacing a major component. I think they always try to look for the most cost effective solution that provides a long term solution.

They’ve been great! We moved into our home a few years ago and replacing the HVAC units was one of the first big ticket replacement items we tackled as homeowners. As anyone these days does, I did an awful lot of online researching before deciding to go with Norfolk Air, and I’m so glad I did. They did excellent work on the install, all done in a day, no mess, and no issues with the system at all, all very professional and on time. Our water heater started to leak early in the morning 4/28. I called Norfolk Air based on prior service. Marvin and David showed up on time at 11 AM to troubleshoot, provided us a detailed quote for water heater removal and installation. Norfolk Air was able to help us on the spot. Markland was great!!! He cleaned up the water( which was a lot) in the attic,diagnosis and fixed the problem. I was angry because I just had a service call a little over a month before and the guy (Bill) did the absolute minimum...he replaced the wires in condenser. I asked him if he was going to check the unit in the attic. He told me No..the fan is working now. He never checked the drain or freon level which is what eventually lead to the leaking from the attic. To me he was more interested in getting me to sign up for a protective/maintenance plan and doing a survey(free lunch) than completing the job.Markland was the total opposite. The epitomy of a professional. Clean-up, diagnosis, fix and recommend remedy.Ive been with Norfolk Air for years and instead of giving a bad rating I just didnt rate at all. But the stark contrast between these employees....forget 5⭐Markland gets a 10⭐from me!

Thank you Norfolk Air! I had what I thought was a simple plumbing repair but not the tools, or the knowledge to address it myself. My issue was not urgent, but needed addressing. Making an appointment was a breeze thanks to the friendly staff. I was able to get an appointment that worked around my work schedule the following day (at my request). When the technicians arrived, they quickly assessed the issue and made short work of the repair. They were friendly and punctual and kind. They were clean and did not leave a mess behind. In fact, aside from my issue being resolved, you wouldnt know they were even there. This is not my first experience with Norfolk Air and with my aging home, I doubt it will be my last. They have always done quality work for a reasonable price. I will not hesitate to call them in the future.

Ive been using Norfolk Air Heat Cooling Plumbing Services for over 32 years, at the condo in Virginia Beach, VA.On this occasion I met Chuck who was a Technician and he was able to assess a Smartleak System will prevent any future water leaks or crisis by shutting down the main, and Draining off a hot water heater into the main drain. This is kind of a major job but the leak smart system is the way to go especially if you live in a condo on the third floor this system will shut down your water main once the sensors that are tied into your Wi-Fi and your phone can monitor a detection.Norfolk air sent me an estimates I agreed to do the job and lo and behold I had a leak coming out of one of my condensation lines in the system of the AC.I immediately called them they came that day and they sent service person to correct job the same days prop service.

Chuck was on time, called while on his way to our home, and he couldn’t have been more polite, professional, and friendly. Norfolk Air was awesome! We had a mystery electrical outage in our 1925 home. They figured out what was wrong when nobody else could and were ready to fix it. They came on time, finished quick, and now we have electricity!

I just bought my first home and used Norfolk Air to have some electrical work done -- redoing the panel, meter housing, and service mast; inspecting and fixing all faulty outlets in the home; and installing lights and cleaning up loose wires in the basement/crawlspace. From the very first call to the time the electricians left, each interaction which the folks from Norfolk Air was professional, informative, and kind. Tammy, who I arranged a quote with, was so helpful and was patient with me as I tried to explain in amateur terms what exactly I needed. And Wes, who did the inspection, quote, and led the work crew was such a treat to work with. Again, he was patient and kind and made sure I fully understood everything. As I continue to do renovations and have electric, HVAC, or plumbing needs I will absolutely be calling Norfolk Air.

We’ve used them twice and will never use them again. The first time was to fix our boiler which they came out and didn’t actually fix, came back and zip tied something together so now instead of not turning on our heat wouldn’t turn off. They did come back to actually make the repair so that was fine in the end. The second time was to clean roots from a pipe on a Saturday. One hour of work for $765. Other plumbers have removed roots from the same pipe for about $150 so this was a huge surprise bill at the end. When I called to find out why we were charged so much I was informed they accidentally charged the evaluation twice so we’d get $90 back and it was really $675 which is still ridiculous. They charge $90 to come out plus the repairs (more than twice their competitor) plus 30% for “after hours” despite listing themselves as open. They claim they told us about the 30% ahead of time, but they absolutely did not tell us that or that they charge 2x the normal rate until after the repair was done. We called them because they were listed as open, but we will not make that mistake again. There are plenty of other companies that charge normal and reasonable rates. Don’t wast your time and money with this one.

Adam was prompt and thorough during his visit. He diagnosed the problem with our unit, gave me a quote for repairs, and spent time discussing options for me to consider. Both he and the office staff I spoke to when scheduling appointments were very helpful and friendly. I will update when work is completed.

We had an electrical fire under our house and Wes was able to squeeze back where the firemen couldn’t reach and find the source of the fire. He fixed the problem and also found another issue he repaired and took before and after pictures to show us what he had done. He is well experienced and thorough and a man of integrity. I would highly recommend him!

Came home from work after a very snowy day to our heater not working...called Norfolk air and heating not expecting anyone to be able to come tomorrow. They had a tech out to us in less than ONE HOUR to resolve our issue! Didn’t even cost us an arm or leg.Fantastic customer service on the phone and in person and sense of urgency! Norfolk Air has done our heating and cooling maintenance for over 5 years. We just replace our HVAC and they were competitive but most of all the service was awesome. The install team was professional, worked hard , was on time, cleaned up. I highly recommend!

Our technician came out because we had a badly clogged up sink/line. His name was Chuck. One of the nicest people ever. Extremely friendly and very clean. Made sure everything was spotless when he left as well. Highly recommend these guys.

These are my people!Cassidy, the service tech that came over to do our semi-annual service was very polite, professional, and knew his stuff. I really appreciated his thoroughness, and also his diligence to keep the house as clean as possible. I say that last point because he had to go in and out of our house like a hundred times and each time he was careful to take his shoe coverings on and off. That kind of diligence means a lot because it shows he pays attention to detail.At the end of the day, our house was given the assurance that everything is good to go for the winter and thats all I needed. Even more important, he wasnt trying to add more fees or unnecessary repairs to the house.Well done!

Electrical Panel change outIn a time when most service oriented companies are substandard at best,Norfolk Air stands alone with their commitment to service to the customer. From quote to work to completion they were professional.They answered every question I had about the job without making me feel I was disturbing them. Regular maintenance indicated that the fan in my unit was not working properly. Thankfully the problem was identified and repaired. The technician who repaired the unit had to work very, very hard to ensure everything was fixed and working properly. He stayed way past closing time to make sure I was taken care of! Emanuel Cabrera was terrific.

Updated outlets in living room, removed and capped off an unused light fixture, installed outlet and microwave, added box for and installed motion detector for our backyard. Informative about the electrical work that I was having done. Answered all my questions. Cleaned their mess. Great attitude.
