It was a very nice experience, the young man at the front was very helpful, he came over to us and asked if we had questions and we did, he answered them and continued assisting other customers. At checkout he made sure the boots we purchased matched and were exactly what we wanted. The store was clean and well organized. Very nice experience indeed.

Advised me to leave about a hour . and they wd fix it..Came back to store 3 hrs later .. And they stated .. They could not fix it..The manager i dealt with David ConstantinoHIS ASSISTANCE FROM THE BEGINNING WASLESS BUSINESS LIKEI wanted A Refund.. But found out 10 -14 days a check wd be issued... Great selection and very good prices. I saved HUNDREDS of $$$ on an eBike rack to carry two electric bikes, as compared to the closest competitors price for the nearly exact same item. The Northern Tools model was actually heavier duty! Happy camper here!

3.5 to 4 stars for the table only. I havent tested the clamps yet, but I appreciate that they are included. Table top is very solid. It would definitely be worth an extra $50 if they would do a collapsible stand with wheels.The box shows washers, but they are not included. This pisses me off because they recognize they should use them but are just being cheap. One of the legs was extremely rough due to all of the weld splatter. They just painted over it. The holes should be de-burred or lightly filed.

This is the adult toy store. It is hard to get out of this place without spending money. Even if they dont have what you went looking for. Ive bought scaffolding, pressure washer accessories, a mower utility trailer, a sewer auger and Im sure a few more things over that past few years. The staff has always been helpful and easy find when needed.

Needed to build a trailer for a new welding machine. Miller gets $2300 for their Bobcat 250 trailer, WOW!!Picked up all the main components from Northern for only ~$650.Picked up the steel from BMG for ~$100.Voila... One day of fab and we have a trailer.The Gentleman at Northern, Kevin, was Super Helpful at picking out all the correct materials. Staff on the floor is very helpful and assisted me in registering my new blower with Stihl. What bothered me is the individual at the counter who tried to tell that I didnt register it fully unless I registered it with Northern Tool. Not only is this false but having someone try to lie to my face so they can get a check in the box is just poor customer service.

The only reason I’m rating a 2 instead of a one is that I’ve had decent experiences before with this store. I ordered a plate compactor to be delivered to the store. It’s been 3+ weeks. It was supposed to be here September 1. I gave them a couple extra days before I called. When I did, i was told they couldn’t tell me where it was and told me to call corporate. They too said no way to tell where or when I would get it. Really in this day of computers, you can’t find your inventory?? Called the store back, they said it was in between SC and VA. Called a couple days later, told it was on it’s way from TX to SC. Still no idea where it is and if I’ll ever get it. I’m tired of being lied to. It will be a long time before they get any more of my business.

I stopped in here recently to use a gift card I received at Christmas. Being a computer guy I have spare parts everywhere, and I do mean everywhere. Theyre scattered between a toolbox thats been outgrown for several years and various other containers, boxes, bags, etc. My mission, to find a compartmentalized toolbox and small storage drawer case.This was my first time in the Janaf Shopping Center location. As I recall this is the building that Circuit City built just before they went out of business, so I have to say this was a great get for Northern Tool moving into a practically brand new building when they did a few years back.The layout pretty easy, you come in, and then the story is basically a circular ring around the retail showroom with isles on either side of the ring. In short order I found the small storage drawer chest in the back left of the store. The toolbox was a little harder to find and I covered the whole store looking for them after finding various other options in a couple of different areas. Finally I found the toolboxes in the very center of the store on an end cap and also found exactly what I was looking for. A double layer storage box with removable modules.Just my luck while I was visiting Northern was having a storage sale. I received a nice discount on both the toolbox and storage drawer case. I think I spent about $15 maybe $20 bucks along with the $25 gift card I had. Most excellent.I found the place impeccably clean and the staff and service was first rate. Ill be coming here again for sure.

So I really enjoy Northern tool customer service is fantastic and they have a great selection, I do wish they carried a little more selection of DEWALT cordless power tools but they have a good selection of Milwaukee.

Walked into the store on July 31 for a truck tool box they advertised to be in stock. After spending time looking they said it was sold out but could order for me. Their online price was $40 less than the store. I asked if they would match, they accepted and took my information and charged my card. Guy said it would be “a couple days”A week later I called and was told they didn’t have the order. Put me on hold for 30 mins. I called back and was put on hold again and finally after another 30 mins spoke with a manager who promised to call me the next morning with an exact estimate of when my toolbox would be in. He said he could see the order and everything was “good”. No call no message so I called again on August 8th.Same answer “can’t see your order, are you sure you ordered from us”I ask for a manager again, on hold again, manager gets on the phone “I know who you are, your order was never placed” even though they took the money!Northern, you had 6 different people talk to me on the phone and had 6 different opportunities to make this right!I am forced to call my credit card company and fight to get my money back!Today is Aug 10th and still no follow up.

Went there on a scouting mission for some HAM radio equipment. Although they didnt have anything along that line -- Northern Tool has an excellent selection of tools and equipment which can meet a wide range of needs. As well, the price points are very competitive. And since Sears is pretty much kaput in this area Northern Tool will be my go to place for my tool and equipment needs from here on out.

Hidden extra fees for tires. They tried to charge me a recycling fee on 2 tires that were on sale. I told them to keep their tires if this is the way they do business. If you are charging additional fees besides sales tax then add that to the price of the tire. I ordered them online from Etrailer for 20 dollars less per tire with no RECYCLING fee. Don’t waste your money if you need tires, go to Etralier!

Husband and I went to Northern Tool (Military Hwy) on 20 February 2019.There were multiple customers, including us, that needed assistance. There was ONE floor worker, and he was constantly on the store phone. I ended up having to press the tool repair bell, and the manager came up. I explained how we couldnt find a floor worker, and he huffed that he only had one. Then when my husband inquired about a welding tool, he replied Well, we clearly dont have it, thats why you cant find it., and walked off.I ran into 3 other customers that needed help, and were irritated by the lack of employees. The employee who was on the store phone apparently got off the clock as another employee (who none of us even saw) walked in, and another customer got irritated that he was laughing at the customer as he was walking out the door.I have NEVER seen such terrible customer service. I personally will not be coming back.

Got a $500 compressor got home . it needed 1/2 quart oil (that was not included) and the sale staff didnt bother to tell me 1 needed it. so i had to go out and get oil. caused me small problem and costed them a sale. not to professional.

Went to their store to purchase a tool that was on sale in their catalog and they would not honor the sale price, said it was a mistake. Guess Northern doesnt use proof readers nor do they honor their own sale prices. Highly recommend Harbor Freight over this place.

Depends on what you want, but this store is a great resource for many projects. I always check here to see if they have what I’m looking for... and they often do.

They are well stocked and have good deals. I purchased a variety of items from there including an Arcan quick-rise low profile 2 ton floor jack, jack stands, welding wire, various tile and masonry cutting wheels for angle grinders, drill bits, ratcheting wrenches, pressure washer tips and components, work gloves and various auto repair tools.

Surprised the snott out of me.I got a decent quality handcart for half the price of anything close at Harbor Freight.I will be going to Northern FIRST from now on when I need cheap tools.
