I have ridden twice at Pedego Electric Bikes. Both times my experience has been most excellent. Amy, the owner, and Mike take care in making sure the bike is the right fit and make sure you can operate the bike safely. Both of them make sure you have a memorable experience. If you havent been riding on an electric bike it does take some getting used to. They have the patience and expertise to help you make it work. I highly recommend Pedego whether.you are renting or buying. They are knowledgeable, friendly and give good service.

So for Mothers Day (5/9) I told my mom that if she got to test ride an electric bike that it will be a Mothers Day she will never forget. Around 11:30am I called the Ocean View location and Mike answered. I told him that I wanted to bring my 68 year old mother to the store to test ride an electric bike. He said yeah no problem you can come and take a bike around the block and he said he might even come with her. Then around 2pm when we were ready to go, I called back because we were biking there and I didnt have a bike lock and wanted to see if we could keep our bikes in the shop while test riding. When Mike answered, it was like I was talking to a different person. He started questioning my intentions of the ride and my Moms ability to bike. I then told her she was out of shape and hasnt been on a bike in about a year and that we just wanted to take a bike around the block. He said Ill tell you what I can do, I can give you a 1 hour rental. I said what I dont want a rental I just want to go around the block real quick. I said no thanks and hung up. I dont understand why you cant come to the ocean view location and test ride an e-bike especially if youre going to spend $2-$3K on 1 bike. Also, the reviews of the downtown location have people saying they got to test ride bikes no problem. Im not sure what Mikes deal was. Maybe this location has different policies from the downtown location. But for now, were buying e-bikes elsewhere...theres tons of companies. Do your research.

Rented bikes. Mike delivered them to our hotel and gave us clear instructions. Had an amazing day riding them. Super fun. I’ve never seen a throttle on an e-bike, but it’s probably the closest I’ll ever get to riding a motor cycle. Such a good time.

I was looking for some replacement parts for my ebike but the store associate told me that Pedego doesnt service other ebike. What most people dont know, there is no difference between a regular bicycle and an ebike. The only difference is the battery, hub motor, mid drive motor and front hub motor.. on all varieties of ebikes but when it comes to brakes, tires and cables..... its all the same. I needed my cables and bike grips fixed. There prices are twice as high for parts and there are better deals online for the money.
