Mr. Gibson is an honest man and his work is impeccable. I dont mind driving up to Newark to have him or any member of his staff work on my car because I know they tell me the truth and they explain things to me in a way I can understand as someone who has very little knowledge of auto mechanics. Ive gotten lazy a time or two and took my car to auto chains near my house and always regretted it. I have never regretted money spent at Gibsons. Ever.

Great work for very fair prices

I originally gave this guys 5 stars but I went through some crazy bs, this guy kept my truck for 2 months, moved it off premises where I couldnt see it, my truck was vandalized while in his possession...he hired someone who did bad electrical work and after taking it to the dealership I was told most of the work he did had nothing to do with the actual problems. The shop is in the heart of the worse neighborhood and there are tons of other mechanics that will handle your vehicle better. Ask him about what happened with the guy with the rover

I trusted the shop with my vechile I needed to replace my atlernater brought the parts for the car an employee messed up a electrical fuse forced it off had my car in the shop for 3 days for a alternator as Im driving with my family to new york the car start shutting off in the middle of the street multiple times putting us in danger I am extremely upset the job was not done professionally & I have to pay someone else for there mistakes unfortunately .

I had never heard of an honest mechanic until I came here. Live in Brooklyn and would drive from there to Newark to get service from Gibson! ! The best!
