Superb customer service. Marc goes above and beyond to meet my needs and is incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and l accommodating. There is great follow up too. He called me to let me know my order was on my way and also seems genuinely interested in my music. I can see why SamAsh has been a leader in the industry for so many years.

Sam Ash is a great store. A New York classic that we should all support. They have a huge selection of music equipment and stay current with the times. They also have old, valuable instruments. Great for accessories. Have had a clarinet repaired there twice very successfully. Great sales people too.

Many of the associates are cool Ian in recording..both Shawns in guitars and Sofia in band instruments. But previous GM Danny Russo is beyond an asahat. He is rude and in sincere ànd causes issues. I will never shop here as long as Danny Russo is an employee...I wont spend a dime

Great service !I was trying a new guitar in a room, where another customer was playing very loud all his repertoire..., the associate noticed the situation right way and put me in another room by myself, I tried 5 different guitars and the associate insisted to bring more guitars for me to get the sound I was looking for.Im very please with my new guitarthank you Sam Ash.

Generally kind and helpful staff but I would have been happier if there was more expertise in the recording equipment. I was told certain audio devices “don’t work with ipads” that are designed specifically for exactly that use (Scarlett solo). When I asked about alternatives after my initial purchase failed to work (I think faulty, not a compatibility issue) they told me that store was “closing soon” (45 minutes left) and so there wasn’t time to troubleshoot- so I could “do what I want” as in exchange or return. When I asked to confirm compatibility with an alternative device, staff told me to read the box and make a decision. I ended up exchanging for a lower end product with a higher confidence of compatibility but I’m generally unhappy with it. Staff was patient but had very little to offer in terms of recommendations, I also left without the necessary cables and some of the wrong cables. Ultimately turned out that the instrument cable I bought was the fault because the replacement interface also didn’t work. I wish the staff would have take the time to test this with me.

I had such a wonderful shopping experience here, all thanks to a wonderful employee named Amore. She was so kind and helpful and made sure I had everything I needed for the clarinet I was buying for my son. When it’s time to upgrade or buy accessories, I am going back to this location without question!

Customer Service is SO important and the location I went to did NOT disappoint!! For some time now, I have been going to the 34th St. Sam Ash in NYC and playing the impressive selection of digital keyboard/pianos on display. So when it came time for me to buy one, I knew exactly where to come. It turned out I made the right decision as Mark Wasserman offered me an awesome deal on a Yamaha AND a carrying case with wheels! I walked out the store quite pleased with a reasonably priced keyboard replete with a great feel and responsiveness that I am sure will serve me well for years to come.

Lee Kelly did a great job of servicing my clarinet and, gave me a great tip about where to place the reed and ligature on the mouthpiece (Im a novice player trying to learn on my own since In-Person classes arent an option yet).

Went in 34th - shortly before closing - to grab an item that Id called the store about a couple of days before. The sales guy that helped me - dont know his name (but Thanks dude!) - went out of his way to find the item since it had been put away for me when I called the first time. Great customer service!

Dropped in for sticks and a practice pad. Justin was friendly and helpful, he directed an old drummer to the right tools needed to get back on the horse. I used one of the electric kits for 15-20mins as well. I’ll be back.

The selection here is fantastic. They have more in stock to see than other local Sam Ash locations Ive been to, but it is the NYC site and I usually only have New Jersey and Pennsylvania to choose from.Having travel versions of instruments like ukelele and guitar was really great to see in person that Ive never seen before, but also their percussion room. The selection just seems endless and if I didnt have a full 8 hours to walk around before a show, adding to my instrumental collection would be way too easy here. Staff was very helpful, and theres even a ramp for the couple of steps they had, which I really appreciate so everyone can maintain their musicianship needs.

The history and reputation of Sam Ash is truly amazing, I just got my new guitar and I love it. They went beyond any expectations to ensure that I got it on time and in perfect condition. Purchased an Ernie Ball Stingray Old Smoothie from Sam Ash. They damaged it during setup, sent it anyways, and the return process wasnt pleasant (terrible customer service). Im pretty active in the bass community, and to my surprise (not) they sold the same damaged bass to someone else without mentioning the damage... Never giving these folks my business again. If you want quality instruments and service, go to CME or anywhere but here.

They have a huge selection, and everyone is super helpful in here.My only complaint is that there was someone playing Wonderwall on one of the keyboards, and they really should get a sign that says No Wonderwall, please or something. No one needs to hear/play that song ever again.Other than that, this place is great! I was going to order from them on Reverb, then realized they were down the block from my office. When I went there in person, they didnt hve my item in-store, but they were able to FedEx it right there and give me the price I wouldve paid on Reverb. Love this place! (just joking about Wonderwall although I do despise that song!)

I went there on Christmas Eve and the manager closed the doors at 6:00pm when they were supposed to start open until 7:00p.m. the photos Im added are selfies I added that are time stamped. They have a nice selection of acoustic guitars but almost all of them specially the high end stuff with strings more than dead, a shame to try and see a new Taylor that cost 5 k in such conditionthe staff is helpful and the store has tones of stuff for every music player

I searched around for the PRS Silver Sky guitar, and could only find a variety of colors at the Sam Ash store on 33rd. Street. When I arrived, I saw a familiar face in guitars. Joe had worked at the store in White Plains for many years and had helped me in the past. He helped answer questions about the guitar. Joe has a wealth of knowledge about everything related to guitars. He answers every question, and is never pushy or trying to sell a guitar. I like his approach and felt confident buying the new guitar. I added the guitar to my collection, and already love playing it. Thanks Joe and Sam Ash.!

Given the pandemic the store, like many was under staffed. Yet the salesman, Marc Wasserman was very attentive, informative and helpful, with myself and other customers. Entering the store I was always greeted in an enclusive way. Im happy with my purchase and the follow-up that I asked for.

I had great service from Justin back in the drum department.

Website showed the item I wanted in stock on July 7th. Placed order with 2nd day delivery. Two days later no item. Emailed customer service three times - ZERO response back.Called customer service - was on hold for 23 minutes. Rep finally gets on and tells me that the item is backordered but is shipping today (July 10th).July 13th - no item. I search FB and find the owner (Sammy Ash) and message him to get involved. I hear excuses about a system upgrade - yada yada yada.Item does not arrive with two days. I have to open an incident with PayPal to dispute the transaction AND tell Sammy Ash to cancel and issue a refund.When I tried to point out to Sammy Ash that there is clearly a broken process here, he could have cared less.I will never buy ANYTHING from Sam Ash and I will urge all of my musician friends to do the same.BUT LOCAL OR USE SWEETWATER.

Customer service from Justin and Andy were top notch, clearly dudes who have been in the industry for some time and know their products. These guys are New Yorkers who have dealt directly with the impacts of COVID, from a temporarily closure to unruly guests (imagine the worst). Customer service was great. My girlfriend and I went into the store looking for pianos stands and a seat for her. The salesperson in the store was very pleasant extremely knowledgeable and very kind. He told me the pros and cons of each 88 keyboard stand in the place. And the guy at the door even let me in at the last minute to purchase what I had to buy. I would definitely come back to the store even though Im not a musician... LolI would just go for the customer service. The sales people have a classic way of selling very personable and kind... nowadays in stores you dont get great customer service like this everything is fast.. buy and get out...Some stores you can go into the store and the sales people wont even give you a second look.

Dana, my Salesman, was informative and very helpful. My Strymon pedal power supply, the Zuma, is one of the best in the business. My old power supply bit the dust two days ago, so it was great to be able to pickup a newer, better unit.Missing one star for the Asian Salesman, who basically treated me like a thief and followed me out of the Acoustics department. That guy made me feel like I was reallly unwanted!

I went into the store with the intention of buying a mixer as a gift for someone, which I had already known which one I was going to purchase.However I also had questions about all-in-one production workstations. After waiting for 20 minutes to talk to someone I just ended up leaving.Its rough coming in here because unless youre flailing your hands around screaming youre gonna spend money, it doesnt feel like anyone really talks to you.3 stars because the store is great, its nice to be able to look and touch. However without any value added Im just going to buy what I want online. I wont have to deal with the hassel of taking it home and I wont get any service regardless. Just my two cents.

The Customer Service Manager (Luis) was GREAT! I called the Midtown location in advance to check if they had a DrumDial Digital Precision Drum Tuner WITH a hard case INCLUDED in their price (as most competitors do not offer a travel case at all, and those that do, have a SOFT zip case travel bag...for an additional cost!?). EASY choice, as Sam Ash had EXACTLY what I wanted, at the price I wanted! ...but not only that, Luis had it ready for me at front counter as soon as I arrived and as I inquired, he offered me some suggestions on other drum accessories to consider...I ended up getting a pair of Vic Firth 7A drumsticks and a double coated snare head as well, as he offered a deal on all that which I couldnt pass up on....Ill be back soon, as he offered to help with more ideas and suggestions for items that I mentioned Im looking to purchase.
