I did like this place prior to my experience today. The woman at the counter was super friendly at first (I had my dog and baby with me). When I asked her for a certain price range she went above that bracket and seemed annoyed when I asked for something a little less expensive. As I was leaving she made a remark about my child that could have been taken as denigrating. I won’t be returning which is a shame because they have decent selections.

Fabulous little shop! I always find something delicious and the staff is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are great and there’s always sales that seem too good to be true. I highly recommend a visit if you haven’t been already!

If you need good, affordable booze in your life look no further! There is always a sale or deal that fits the occasion. If you need help, Ali has never steered me wrong so don’t hesitate to ask for a recommendation! Also they are open later than any other store in the neighborhood so for you night owls, now you know!

Incredible deals of two for $20 and two for $15 PLUS, most other items are cheaper than anywhere else I’ve been to so far. This is now my go to store for wine and anything else Liquor wise. Huge variety, a block from my new apartment, and people who work there actually know wine! Go there. You’ll be happy you did.

Great store! Friendly knowledgeable staff, huge selection, great prices on spirits, awesome deals on wine, I can always find a 2 for $20 that fits the occasion. And Hibiki Harmony on sale for $80!!! Best shop in the neighborhood!

I was shopping for a few specific brands and this store had the lowest prices I found anywhere around! When I went to the store I asked one of the store reps about it and was told they often compare prices with other stores and do their best to stay lower and competitive. That was great to know, I’ll be shopping here again in the future!

I have been to many wine shops in the UES and must say this is my favorite. Not only is their selection pinpoint but the service (Allie and Mario) is even better. These people take care of their customers. I am a pinot noir snub and was hesistant at the recommendation, it was BOMB.

This is by far my favorite wine shop! They have an awesome selection, but especailly for rose! Most bottles and cans are available chilled in their huge refrigerator. They have great prices too! Their 2 for $20 mix and match rose is perfect for the park or rooftop. Ask for Ali! She really knows her wines and has never steered me wrong. If you are on the UES this place should not be missed.

When I first found this store I expected it to be just another wine shop in the UES. After my first visit I knew I would not be shopping for wine in any other local shop. The selection of spirits always remains carefully and thoughtfully stocked, and the taste and variety of choices always excellent.The friendly staff and attention paid to the demands of the new normal shopping experience always makes shopping here very pleasant. I highly recommend this libation station.

What a gem of a store! Wine, whiskey, tequila, sake.. they have it all, and the people working there are professionals! So glad to have them a block from my apartment :) highly recommend, especially the knowledge of products and customer service

Woman at the counter was welcoming at first then became extremely rude when we asked if they had a certain product that they did not carry, then proceeded get more rude when asked if they had a wine similar to the one we were looking for and couldn’t suggest something. Asked for a well known Chianti and was responded with a dismissive attitude. I recommend going to Mr Wright wines on 3rd before coming here, the people that work there are very knowledgeable and kind compared to this wine store.

I stopped in the other day looking for a specific bottle of wine. Not only did the young lady know the bottle I was looking for, but they actually had it! Great selection, great prices...I’ll be back for sure.

Our go to wine store on the UES. Staff is knowledgable, friendly, and always has great recommendations. Not only wine, but they have great whiskey/scotch/bourbon offerings. I also recommend joining there wine club!

FAB EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME - I live about 5 blocks away and my delivery service thru the app is spectacular (25 min every time average) - store gives me a call if any issues but usually my goodies get here 15-20 after my order even if the app says 45 mins. LOVE IT!!

Love this place but have to comment on a bad experience with one employee. Monday 3-16 after getting laid off stop by to get a bottle of wine. The manager was busy taking a phone order and asked a helper to cash me out. He reluctantly came to the counter with a attitude. I said dude you need to smile more on that he proceeded to berate me with insults. Didnt understand but being in the food industry I know this was so wrong. Kobe you need to talk to him and the manager. I have been coming to you since Bulldee was around. Did no deserve to be disrespected like that. KARL

This is our neighborhood wine shop and its terrific. They are knowledgeable and never pushy, you can browse without pressure, and their recommendations when you do ask are rock solid great choices. Its exactly what I want- a large, imaginative, varied selection of wines. many bargains and always fair prices, and the staff is uniformly pleasant and never intrusive. Makes it a pleasure to shop for wine for any occasion.

This is a fully stock wine and liquor store that delivers. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable especially with there wine selection. The prices are moderately expensive but thats how things are on Manhattans upper east side. The store is worth of visit if u are interested in finding a nice wine to go with any occasion. They also have a full liquor selection that can satisfy and adult thirst.

Had a great customer service experience when returning a bottle of wine. The employees definitely know their stuff when it comes to wine.Please note Ive only purchased wine from them... so far. :)

While this place has good deals, the service has become increasingly bad. I have been coming here for a while and also use their app delivery service, having lived in the area for 3 years, and I can’t get past the disdain and annoyance received from the staff for you even trying to purchase wine from them. If you’re looking for a good local spot to buy wine on the UES and chat with the team, this is unfortunately, definitely not it. I prefer to go somewhere where my presence is welcomed and I’m not annoying the staff and keeping them from their night out . Go in, get your stuff, but don’t expect a long lasting welcoming experience

Great store and great selection. Adam tries hard to offer a selection at every price point. They usually have great deals on liqueurs too.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND if service is like this on a regular basis:I don’t know what I did to annoy the cashier but when I was paying for my wine and asked for a wine opener he had a scowl on his face during the whole interaction not once did he say a single word to me.Not sure if they have a racism problem but reading a past comment I would not be surprised if this were the case.Did not give me my receipt and I felt so unwelcome I would not come back even if I had the choice.

Bait and switch. Went there last night and bought a 2 for 20 deal plus a more expensive bottle. Once I got the total is was a lot more and the cashier just said no mix and match after he had already processed my credit card. So inconsiderate. Dont label things next to each other with the same deal if you dont want to honor the price. Go to Mister Wright if you want a pleasant and helpful experience on the UES.

This wine store has free wine tastings on every Friday and Saturday evening. The manager there named Adam is very helpful and very friendly.

Well stocked, knowledgeable staff, always willing to help. Just avoid the 5-6pm time when everyone is getting out of work and looking for advice on which cheap wine to purchase ;)

Wanted to buy some wine here tonite which I have from time to time. I was going to use debit then realized I had a one hundred dollar bill. ask if it was ok the cashier said yes. then I guess his manager came out and said I cant take this. now I thaught that was a bit odd. he pretended to act as if it where counterfeit. Im sure it was because Im not blond with blue eyes.thank good yorkshire is right around the corner. it would have been much more believable if he just would have said I cant change it. Im informing my neighbors not to shop there. I can spend my hard earned money elsewhere

Would give 0 stars but they wouldn’t let me return the wine they had just overcharged me for. Horrible customer service and the guy was incredibly rude and patronizing. Will not be going back and WILL spread the word.
