I got the Fresh Milk with Taro Paste and Brown Sugar Boba, the taro paste was so good. Not on the sweeter side of most boba places but the boba was fresh and chewy. I also got the Mango strawberry shaved ice bowl which had tons of fruit and sweetened milk which was perfect for a hot day

First time here I was completely lost do to the amount of choices you are given. Im glad I was with friends that previously visited this location. I ordered a strawberry smoothie and did not expect how amazing it would taste. Also my friends ordered shaved ice and the dish was HUGE, you will need 3/4 people for this one order.

The dessert was good. Not too sweet. Their dessert was good. I enjoyed the Hot almond drinks with Taro. The place is a bit run down with very limited seatings inside. The outdoor benches is very very limited. It is a great place toPeople watch outside. If you like dessert, it’s a good place to grab some sweets!

I was a fan of Meet Fresh when I was in Taiwan and California. We even detoured to their location in Montreal since we would like to show our support to the brand that originated from Taiwan. We were super disappointed with our recent visit. The environment was disgusting and no staff tried to maintain it; the service was horrible, rude and reluctant. We ordered a shaved ice bowl and the staff told us to wait for about 20 minutes which was kind of bad. After 15 minutes, we asked the staff about our order and it was already ready. We felt appreciated that they had our order prepared earlier until we unpacked the container. The shaved ice was melted completely already so we brought back and requested a new one. The staff was unhappy and told us the ice underneath was fine but actually not. We totally understood that the timing for ice was difficult to control so we suggested the owner should have a better way to communicate with customers to know about their orders. The environment of outdoor dining was really bad. There is a public trash can by the stores and it was piled up at noon. The staff even brought their own trash from the store and stacked it on top of the trash mountain. There are better options for Taiwanese desserts or boba tea in NYC so we definitely won’t visit again.

Throughly enjoyed this - wide selection with ability to customize. Everything was flavorful and well made. The shaved ice is not as fine (or fluffy) as the ones we have had in Asia but it worked. The staff was extremely helpful with suggestions - patient, friendly and never rushing even though the place was hopping and super busy. There are seating was adequate (downstairs seating was closed) but you do have to clean the tables yourselves (either it was too busy for the staff to do it or it’s self service. Couldn’t tell but not a big deal since most people were very considerate about picking up after themselves). All in all would definitely go back.

Delicious Taiwanese desserts that aren’t overly sweet or heavy. I like the wide variety of toppings and bases and being able to create my own bowl from the selections. You really can’t go wrong with any of the signature desserts either. It has all of your classic favorites from taro balls to shaved ice.

Visited today because they offered dine-in options that nearby store, The Alley, didnt. The products and employees are good but the environment of the store was really uninviting. Their outdoor seating area is only open on the weekends which is a bummer because i’d be more inclined to sit outside. The inside of the store had no lights on, clutter/crates/paint bins piled everywhere, and no A/C turned on inside. If felt more like a construction zone than a cool place to sit down and enjoy boba/taiwanese desserts. Hopefully these minor fixes can be made.

Enjoyed the herbal tea with jelly and tofu pudding. Friendly staff and helpful.A bit of advise, do not add taro to your tofu pudding. They are served in big chunks. Not tender. What is up with that? I’ve had taro in sweet soups and they are cut up to bite sizes and they are tender. Never again will i add taro to my order.

Absence of a wait, this place is pretty good. This trendy desert shop is from Taiwan. They have hot and cold desserts. The base is generally shaved ice with herbal jelly or tofu pudding base. The toppings that come on top of it range from red bean, mung bean, milk, syrup, taro ball, etc. The drinks are pretty interesting as well. Recommend anything with the small taro ball (it tastes amazing)!

$8 for a bowl of sweet soup is a bit over price to me. They were out of bubbles the day we visit. We order cold herb jelly #1, hot almond tea with tofu pudding, and almond pudding with red bean. They almond soup and pudding were smooth and silky. Herb jelly has no herb flavor, which disappoint me. Overall is OK, give it a try if you havent. But to me going back is a 50/50.

Note: Order to eat-in to get a bigger portion. I recommend their popular Meet Fresh Signature option for starters.Meet Fresh is a Taiwan-based dessert chain that is more prevalent in the West Coast. They have made their way to the East Coast and established their first store here.I like Meet Fresh because it provides a healthier alternative to other dessert options in the city, and its just as sweet and delicious. From what I heard, their taro balls were imported from Taiwan, so that explains why their offerings were a bit pricey.

Came here couple times, but due to the long line I wasn’t able to get in at all. Finally, I get to tried this place and my overall experience with the dessert is just ok. Maybe when you have the best taro balls dessert in Taiwan, and this just can’t compare to the one in Taiwan. Although this is also a famous franchise from Taiwan but it’s definitely not the best. Since many people never had the good taro balls dessert in Taiwan, they have nothing to compare to and would think this is great. Well, it’s good enough for the area now. Also their management definitely need improvement and make the order goes faster and smoother. Hopefully it will gets better!

As someone living in the US but misses Taiwan (home) all the time, this was a great addition to the Asian dessert scene in Manhattan. Be warned, it is really expensive compared to the Meet Fresh in Taiwan so I would just avoid comparing prices.I usually get the hot tofu that’s in a sweet soup (豆花), and I get it to go since the store gets pretty crowded. If you order it to go, I would recommend asking them to separate your topping and the tofu so you can add them in later on at home.I’ve never had their other dessert options but they look very similar to what we have in Taiwan. Feedback from my friends who have tried it are that it’s quite good and comparable to the Meet Fresh in Taiwan. So if you miss Taiwanese desserts or want to try some, come here!

Taiwanese import that’s is widely popular. The hype is still there but there isn’t lines around the block anymore. It’s usually filled with NYU students and if there’s a line it moves pretty quick. They have a decent amount of seats but I’m surprised how rundown the place has gotten already. The table and seats seem to be rarely cleaned and the last two times I was there, it reeked of urine. I recommend finding a seat to the left as you enter to be as far away from the restroom as possible or take out and eat at the square across the street if weather allows. The desserts are some of the best. The Meet Fresh signature cold dessert is my go to but I also love the Taro ball 6 too. Definitely worth trying, I just wish they would hire a dedicated cleaning staff to keep the place from becoming a subway station.

Having had hundreds of servings of the real deal in Taiwan, I can say this is the best you can get in NYC as of 3/2019. The grass jelly, egg pudding, and mini taro balls (they were sold out of the regular size at 8pm on a cold Sunday) are pretty on point but the ice texture wasn’t right. It was a little too chunky, kind of like crushed ice from a fridge. One bowl was shared between myself and a friend ($8).Additionally, this place was packed despite the still freezing temperatures. The line wraps past the bathrooms, cuts off the stairs heading down to additional seating, and in front of the tray return spot. Did not make for a very leisurely eating experience.

Update: the owner replied with excuse with online order system delay, BUT I ordered in person, NOT online. Plus, the main point of my complain is the staff attitudes, not because of delay. This wasn’t the first time I felt disappointed with the service. They really need to train the staff. If not because my husband and kids like the food, I definitely wouldn’t go back since my first time purchase. Last night, I yelled at my hubby and told him No more going to this horrible store. I am so done with meet fresh.——————————————————————————The service is horrible, people are rude there. My order should be ready in 15 minutes, but i finally got my order after 35 mins wait. People ordered after me got their orders before me, not just one or two people, it was all of them. I asked the staff was my order ready, why people ordered after me get their order first. She replied it was NOT by order number in a rude and impatient tone. Oh well, so you did it by random, not first come first serve??? All of them got it in 10-15 mins. Oh I know why, you misplace my order, and didn’t even check after I asked u. I finally got my order because I was the last one still standing and waiting.
