A nice spot for brunch. Due to its proximity to NYU be prepared for the college aged crowd for weekend brunch. The mimosas and sangria were great. Loved the chai latte and my friend demolished her Eggs Benedict!

My favorite place for weekend brunch! The food is not only great, but lives up to the same standard over multiple visits.Add in friendly staff (I wish I knew the Hispanic bartenders name as I’d give her a direct shout out) and enough seating that they aren’t on a two hour wait all weekend makes it a win for me.Prices are reasonable and if you opt for the unlimited drinks (aka boozy brunch!) they’re very good at keeping your glass topped up, no matter how thirsty you might be. Fun place to relax and warm up on a cold afternoon. TVs offer sports games, baristas cook up hot drinks, and a varied menu offers tasty bites for all cravings. We had the Oreo cake, which was filled with a delicious chocolate mousse.

Very nice place for a date, relaxing environment. We ordered two bottles of wine and they gave us two cheese platters. Our server was incredibly attentive and super nice. The pasta was also delicious and a good portion. Definitely recommend this place, great prices and great quality!

I really wanted to like this place because the reviews are so good. I ordered a panini which was the WORST I’ve ever had! The bread tasted like frozen food and the whole thing lacked of flavor. The fries came with the meal tasted regular, but I have to say the portion is so small compared to the price. You can get the same quality/price at the local diner with twice amount of food. Also we got charged 20% gratuity without getting notified. I guess that’s normal for 5 people dining but I wish we were told first.

The atmosphere is nice and dark in the evenings. The plates were good and nicely priced. I had the Carbonara and my girlfriend had the vodka sauce pasta. It was good. The place is a wine and beer bar so stick to ordering those types of drinks. It took a while to flag down our server, though. Overall I like the place and will return.

Im giving this place 1 start because the service was horrible. The bartender was so rude, I came in for a coffee, bartender already pissy. I ordered hot coffee with Almond milk, the charge was $1 over what was listed. So I asked. Eye roll almond milk is always an upcharge ok Sr. you can let me know before you poured it I would have gotten soy, thank you. And just so you know almond is not an upcharge everywhere, so let your customers know. Then I asked him they have wifi. Yes walks away. Mind you they are not busy. So Im thinking he is getting some sort of paper with password on it. No. He is straight up ignoring me. Still waiting, he is not coming back over. I come to the other side of the bar so can I have that password? Eye roll again, and with much difficulty he gives it to me. I never write reviews like this but that was one of the most rude experiences Ive had ever.

Very friendly atmosphere. We were greeted upon entry and escorted to a table right away for dinner. Very nice comfort menu items and they have a good selection of wines and spirits. Staff is kind and knowledgable.

Happened upon Cafe Mocha today and it was just what we were looking for. Prices, food, and service were all good. Had the French Toast w bananas (be sure to dip each bite into home-made strawberry syrup) and an omelette with potatoes. Both were great. Service at the bar was very pleasant.

Good place. I got the Italian meatballs linguine and I thought the flavors were all pretty good! The brioche and flatbreads were also solid appetizers. The service was smooth and friendly. Overall a solid find for a nice night.Went here again for brunch on New Years Day. Mostly chose it because everything was closed early in the morning, but I knew it would definitely deliver a solid brunch. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by how tasty the pancakes were. Everyone in my group liked what they ate, as well. The only complaint was that it took a really long time to get the check. Other than that, this is a pretty good place to get a tasty, and casual brunch!

***UPDATE***Unfortunately there was a 3 alarm fire on 2/10/2020 on the higher floors of this building and it looks like Cafe Mocha is CLOSED for the foreseeable future as the building has been deemed uninhabitable and ordered vacant by the NYC Buildings Department.That’s too bad as it was a good spot in the neighborhood.Original review:Nothing exceptional but does the trick for a reasonable price. Good service. Food is average but everything else 5 stars.

Lovely cafe, great dinner dishes and drinks. Lovely atmosphere and very attentive and funny waiters. Moody lighting in the restaurant might make it difficult to read the menu for some, but was okay for me.

$15 mimosas and just $20 for red wine that they pour hlaf a bottle in your big wine glass. It was a relatively small place, but the smell of coffee and bomb burger was just too good. Coming with friends to let off some steam before going back to work on a Monday is best done with drinks and food. And Cafe Mochas bottomless drinks delivered. Apparently it only for an hour, so bottoms up!

Great server. Always there without being intrusive. He gave us complimentary blow jobs at the end of our dinner. We would go back, but there was a huge fire upstairs from the restaurant 2 days later, and the place suffered terrible water and smoke damage.

Damn loud, damn tiny. The food is delicious, our server was top-notch, but the cramped seating and deafening noise of so many people talking at once (and talking over each other to be heard) have us doubting that we will ever go back.

Server/manager and bartender were incredibly pleasant. We were fickle and couldn’t decide if we wanted to just drink or also eat, accommodated us and were very pleasant about it, not the usual NYC disdain for customers. Will def come back for a proper dinner soon

Cafe Mocha was a great place and the food was so good. I will definitely return and try out more items on the menu. It arrived soon and I wasnt disappointed. My experience was even better due to the wonderful server, Katrina. She was so friendly and made me feel like a valued and welcomed customer. The place became very busy around noon but I still felt that she did a great job regardless of the chaos of a packed restaurant. I highly recommend Cafe Mocha if you are looking for good eats at a reasonable price. I loved it!

Came here for a brunch and it was absolutely delicious! I can first hand recommend the french toast, the delicious Cuban panini paired with fries, and the omelettes of many kinds. Whether its for a cute brunch which also has the add on option of a $10 endless mimosa for an hour, or for coffee this place does not disappoint!

I never really take the time out to do reviews however, the service from the waitress today was absolutely disgusting! I just felt the need to share my experience, she had such an attitude, throws the menu on the tables, her professionalism was non existent, & to top it off we waited 20 mins for our check and when she came back to serve us our last mimosa she had told us our time was up! I understand she was overwhelmed since the place was busy, however you are still a waitress and still working in a customer service based business Until you clock out for your shift your professional status must always remain on! I can assure you she would of been picking up all her teeth from the floor if I wasn’t on parolee.

This is a nice little gem I found by accident. Good food, sometimes you get funny waiters and ambience is somewhat romantic in a subtle way. Go there on a Sunday night after 11 or so. There wont be much crowd and youll have a different experience.

Great food BUT the bottomless mimosas ($15) which at first I thought was a little high but I literally never saw the bottom of my glass, I had about 17 of em to, totally worth it. They come and fill it up like every 10 mins, I’d totally go back

My boyfriend didnt like it because hes more of a beer person, they only have 4 types of beer so if youre the type to go to a sports bar and drink heavy this isnt the place for you, the staff was friendly as well.
