The Row is the only American designer they carry, its all luxury European and Japan Designers, very big Comme des Garcons Selection.There is no shop I know that has such a singular, stylish and ethical collection, or similar tastes, unless youre in Paris . The owners are extremely genuine and knows what fits you and what doesnt. I can warmly recommend it. You will come out looking more stylish than you ever have and youll save. And youll want to go back for more.

What I love is his timeless approach. His design is not trendy, but still fashionable. I was able to find a beautiful dress for a holiday event without the added stress. Great store. The owner was so helpful and answered all my questions regarding the Chanel bags but in the back I found a beautiful unworn Marni dress so I chose that and a Valentino bag instead as that what my budget was, but I still left very happy. I have to save for that Chanel I really want. I will have to come back on my next trip. He was a very nice gentleman who let us browse and take all the time we needed and my friend even got a great top from the Helmut Lang section for a really good price. I love Chanel, especially vintage Chanel. The best vintage Chanel in the world is at Pilgrim. They usually carry a huge selection (up to 80 plus Chanel as well as other designer bags all mint condition or very gently loved!) and jewelry from Paris including Chanel over the top vintage Jewelry for you Chanel collectors! Its a very unique and well edited store with only the best presented here. Prices are about $2500 for a mint condition iconic Chanel up to $4000 to a super maxi jumbo, but its way cheaper than Chanel and in my opinion the vintage bags are so much better made.

Thank you Pilgrim and Racked NY. I read about the Chanel sale this morning on Racked NY and so I rushed over after work and the store said they would stay open for me. The guys where super nice and I found the 10 2.55 Double Flap lambskin bag with gold hardware that Ive been wanting forever. With the sale the price it was about $2800 which for a mint, pristine bag for this model is a bargain. Chanel bags in the boutique now are at least $4800 and up.Ive never seen a vintage Chanel in this amazing condition. The guys were even patient with me when I had a credit card problem with my bank. I never thought Id find this bag in this condition and at a price I could afford. Im so glad I checked Racked NY today. They had so many bags and I was confused a bit as there was so much to look at, but Ive always wanted this one, so I left very very happy. I will definitely be back for my 2nd Chanel bag.

I read about Pilgrim New York first in the Harpers Bazaar UK Edition about a year ago and have been meaning to go here ever since. Well, we finally made it and it was worth the trip. Being in Pilgrim is like being in the Marais in Paris! Very Tres Chic Boutique. Great selection of all types of jewelry, new clothing, vintage designer clothing. They even tend to favor french labels in jewelry and vintage. The Chanel handbags are exquisite -- Ive never seen better even in Paris, the selection is amazing, all the classic iconic Chanel bags are here and they always get them if they dont have it in stock. It was really pleasure meeting the guys who own this place, they were extremely thorough and knowledgeable and all three of us who came left with something. Love this store. We will definitely return. Its also easy to get there as its close to a few subway lines....

Hi after not having been at Pilgrim in close to 5 years, I was there this past weekend - horrible toxic experience. soon after I walked in the owner & clerk began complaining & trash talking a customer who just walked out. Owner hardly looked at me & was incredibly rude. NEVER AGAIN - wonder what they said about me after I walked out. I couldnt bring my self to buy anything bc I cant give people like this my business.

Every editor shops here, and its not such a well kept secret after 9 years here, but new Marni dresses for $200??? Deal! Yes. Ive been coming here since they opened in 2007 or so. The best handmade Chanel bags you find here and they know so much about Chanel. Also, if you are into Japanese Vintage like Comme, Yohji, Issey, Sacai this is the bomb. The place. The best prices anywhere and incredible collection. The two guys who run this place couldnt be nicer. So super helpful and they always have the right things for me to try on. Ive been here at least once a month for 8 years. Its a staple of the fashion scene and always in W Magazine or Italian Vogue.

They have Beautiful collection of designer and vintage pieces.Richard helped us select some really cool margiela dresses, some great come des garsons sweaters and a beautiful Dior gown that is fantastic. None of these looked like they had ever been worn. They only use dealers so there is no consignment store type stuff here and there is no smell!!! It’s very high end boutique and I understand why Vogue would cover it. Really great shopping experience and there were 3 of us going back and forth to the fitting room. Loved it. Can’t wait to come back to New York.

While taking a stroll through Lower East Side I walked into the Pilgrim store with my BF. The way the store is set up felt like museum. Naturally I didnt want touch anything. One of the store owners walked over to show me some of the hand bags I was eyeing. Brian made us feel comfortable. He explained that they were vintage and how their items are handpicked. Of course I fell in love with a vintage Celine bag. After leaving the store I could not stop talking about this amazing bag. A month later my fiancé got me MY VINTAGE CELINE bag as a birthday/saying yes gift. I love love my bag and thank Brian for being such a great sales man. My fiancé was def happy with the way he was treated at the store and even more delighted to see my face light up with my gift. Def a super cool store.

And I wear it everywhere I go and get tons of compliments on it. I also have probably bought 3 Chanel rare bags here over the last couple of years. The owners are super nice and super knowledgeable about fashion. They really give great advice to anyone who asks and are not the types of are snobby like in a Chanel boutique. I dont like going to Chanel boutiques because you never know how youll be treated. Here I am always treated really well (well, Im also a regular customer which I guess doesnt hurt any!) If you are in New York this is always rated as a must stop for fashion. Everything is immaculate condition and as new. You will just die over the selection of fabulousness.

We absolutely love this place. Richard and Brian are experts at evaluating designer items, especially Chanel Jackets and Bags. My two favorite things. My niece who goes to Parsons loves the Comme des Garcons and Yohji Yamamoto and Japanese Designers, so it works out when I come for a visit from Amsterdam where Im based. What a vast collection of Chanel handbags in pristine condition along with a vibe that can only be characterized as super cool, makes this store my favorite store ever! The edited collection here is the best. From a perfect Gaultier gown to a luxurious Chanel Classic Jacket this place has everything a girl could want that seems otherwise unobtainable (at least for me if I went to Bergdorfs!). This is the type of place where you can find gifts for everyone you know and you can be assured the gift will be loved.They carry fine jewelry ruby and diamond rings from England. And the main thing is, they only deal with the top dealers worldwide, are featured in Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. Those designs are awesome and I bought a cute purse and a ring.The staff is helpful and nice and not smothering. I love that you can take your time and look at everything and the store isnt usually packed. I am a vintage addict. I grew up in a house that loved clothes and fashion. We always were interested in fashion.I love the way clothes used to be made, the art of the fabric and fit, the craftsmanship, the way things were appreciated as more than just something to save money about and run and look like everyone else in the world. Ive always admired a unique vision, a way of seeing that is ones own and this little store has such a unique vision that I admire so much. Its foreverchanging. Really. One word: foreverchanging. Each time I go its a new delight. Yes they are known for all the Chanel, but besides that there are great unique pieces from Christian LaCroix, Jean Varon, obscure Parisian designers that never got any recognition, but made great clothes. I love the fact that things are organized neatly but with something hidden for delight behind every little place you turn. Simply really wonderful experience. I really appreciate it when a store elevates itself beyond just merchandising.

I read the article in an airplane magazine called Westjet on a flight from Toronto to New York. I made a trip downtown specifically for this store. I was not disappointed. The best condition, unused, rare, immaculate, luxury, all those terms come to mind here. Great chanel handbags like Ive only seen more at chanel, but here they have the beautiful iconic handmade Chanel which is very difficult to find anywhere. They have the best dealer in Paris and explained to me all the processes that go into a handbag that last 40 years and is handmade and the details and craftsmanship.The contemporary section is full of one off Prada, Isabel Marant, Dries Van Noten, Helmut Lang and other designer high end dresses. Great experience and worth the trip downtown.

My wife has always sent me here to get her Prada dresses, Lanvin dresses and Chanel bags. All of them are great deals and the quality here is outstanding. The service is great as they always gift wrap my presents in beautiful paper and are quite helpful as they know my wifes taste. Ive completely stopped going to Bergdorfs as the Prada dresses here are about 20 to 25% of the cost of the Prada at Bergdorfs. Everything is beautifully presented and if you are unsure about anything the owners here are extremely knowledgeable fashion experts. Great experience shopping here every time and everytime is a winner. My wife is always thrilled with the dresses or bags. I also got her an English art deco ruby and diamond 18ct gold ring that went over extremely well for her birthday! You cant go wrong here and they have such great taste.

It is the best store in NY (I read about it in Harpers Bazaar UK as in the top ten designer vintage stores worldwide last year and its very accurate!). I only come to Pilgrim New York, Rellik in London & Didier Ludot and Les Trois Marches in Paris. The best of the best there is. Every item is immaculate, mint, pretty, gorgeous and beautiful. The best luxury quality and love all the Japanese designer avant garde designers they carried here. Absolutely lovely experience at Pilgrim NY, I went to this shop on the recommendation of a friend in the fashion business. Ive been looking for Chanel vintage bags also I love Japanese designers too.If you are looking for a little something to treat yourself there is so many options.This is definitely the place to visit again and again. The racks are filled with Comme des garcons, junya watanabe, issey miyake and more. When you walk up the first thing you notice is the spectacular windows with mannequins covered in Comme des Garcons and Chanel vintage jewelry along with about 50 different models and designs of mint condition Chanel bags and there is even more in the back! They also carry many other pristine designer bags as they only deal with professional dealers in Paris and Tokyo, so nothing is consignment and everything is authentic and pristine.Well priced, no pressure to buy but owner/staff are very helpful. Love that the products are primarily made by real artist/designer. Always worth stopping in to see the new products that the owner is constantly bringing in.A really beautiful store and I will definitely return on my next trip to New York. Exquisite taste and beautifully curated shop!!!

Although this has been a real destination for me over the last couple of months, I know its also a very focused, edited store with a specific point of view. If you love japanese designer vintage such as Watanabe, Kawakubo, Miyake, Yohji etc. there is no better place. They have lots of designer authentic handbags from Valentino to Dior to Chanel and Celine. The jewelry department is over the top statement jewelry. If I need an outfit for a fundraiser or opening, I always dash here and find a new something to wear!

Pilgrim is sophisticated, extremely well edited, they carry a huge collection of pristine and collectible unworn japanese designer vintage as well with labels such as Junya Watanabe, Commes Des Garcons, Rei Kawakubo, Yohji Yamamoto, Tsumori Chisato and others. All very fashion forward. If you roam around to the back of the shop you will also find more Chanel bags and jewelry as well as classic haute couture pieces and ready to wear from Paris designers. Pilgrim New York has been a mecca for vintage shopping for over five years on the lower east side. They also guarantee authenticity on every item, offer styling tips (thank you Richard!!!). Ive been a fan since they opened and just got around to writing this review.

This is my favorite NYC store next to Bergdorfs. They have great high end clothing from local designers made in NYC. The quality and fabrications are beautiful.Also, its such a diverse experience. They have the best, Chanel bags and also Chanel jewelry (which they sell through facebook). Ive bought several rare Chanel necklaces, and also their highly unusual and collectible vintage high end jewelry ranging from Victorian to Deco to 50s etc. and some Paris runway show prototypes.The back is designer vintage. I got an amazing Stephen Sprouse dress and a sonia rykiel tuxedo suit. Which are gorgeous! and in mint condition.The guys who own and work here and extremely helpful and knowledgeable and its such a unique store in NYC. something like this can only be found in paris.The neighborhood is great as well, great restaurants, great sites and small boutiques. I love coming down to the Lower East Side.
