The place is completely closed off to anyone who does not have an appointment, which is great under the current environment. We felt pretty safe and the shop was extremely clean. The staff was also very helpful.

Highly recommended, and definitely will return if/when the need arises. I called to inquire if they would be able to check on my daughter, whose recently pierced earring fell off. Spoke with Star, and she couldnt have been nicer. Even though they were booked, she offered to take a look... And she was a true professional in every sense of the word. She not only helped to put the earring back, she cleaned the area, and each time she touched her ear and walked away, she changed latex gloves.... She also checked/cleaned my other daughters earrings, and declined any payment. The studio is very clean, and despite the exterior street appearance of the entryway, the studio is very organized and spotless.

Extremely high quality body art at an affordable rate! I was in town for my 30th birthday and had been looking into getting these fine line tattoos for quite some time. One of the biggest things I was looking for was to work with a high quality artist, but also it needed to be affordable/make sense financially. I knew what I was looking for was going to be small and somewhat simple so I couldn’t see myself spending $1000 or more on this piece. I know fine line work is a speciality so I didn’t want to settle for just anyone. I was positive that on a whim I wouldn’t be able to find a quality artist with availability, but my sister in law recommended Sacred Tattoo and told me to just call and see what they had open. To my surprised and delight they actually had a few openings: one that same day and another a few days later. They asked me to look on their website and decide between the two artists who had availability. I decided to work with Daniel O. because of his fine line work. He was very kind, professional and mindful of exactly what I was looking for. During the tattoo he asked questions about what I wanted as far as shading vs. no shading in certain areas, instead of just assuming. He made the experience collaborative and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. The COVID precautions the studio and Daniel took were above and beyond, this is extremely important to me. I felt very safe the entire time, I work in the medical field so I am extremely sensitive to precautions taken and I was very impressed. Overall I could not recommend Daniel more, I will absolutely be back to work with him again. Thank you Daniel, and thank you Sacred Tattoo for having such a top notch artist at your studio!

This place is amazing! The people are very professional, clean, and timely. I had called to see if they had any availability that same day, and they accommodated me within the hour. Austin Pratt was my artist and he was very patient with making sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted it to be and I highly recommend him. He was enthusiastic about my tattoo and wanted it to come out perfectly, which it did. I felt very comfortable there and would definitely return.

The staff here are amazing and very welcoming. The shop adheres to proper protocols in regards to covid. The shop is super clean as well.My artist was Austin and he was as thorough as can be. He explained why he was doing certain techniques, along the way he made sure I was comfortable and he was very respectful and professional. I got a spine tattoo of a dragon with Elliot and the experience was amazing! He let me take breaks whenever I felt overwhelmed, took his time, was very funny, put my nerves at ease, and even made his own version of the design I had in mind (it came out amazing!). This was my first time at Sacred Tattoo, but I’m sure I’ll be back a ton in the future. The space is great, everyone I met was very friendly, and they have great COVID protocols in place right now including temperature checks and strictly limiting capacity.I’ve had nearly all of my tattoos done by Elliot over the last few years and he has always done amazing work. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell he loves what he’s doing. I love my newest piece and I already can’t wait for my next one.

Came here for the first time yesterday, and I was super impressed by the studio, the staff, and just how awesome everything was.They have two bathrooms which is super dope, they offer snacks and sodas to keep your sugar up! They also offer coffee which is all complementary. The artists are all super talented, and the studio is very clean. It’s also spacious, with no chance of you bumping into someone physically. I loved it.

Feel safer from COVID here at the shop than I do in my own home 🤣 Beautiful space, super talented artists, the friendliest reception staff, and everything is sterilized, wiped, and sterilized again. Four tattoos from this shop, and I couldnt suggest a better place.

Walked in and was greeted right away by 2 gentlemen and a puppy dog! Sooo dope! I wasnt sure if I wanted a tattoo or piercings, they were very patient until I decided what I wanted and I went for the piercings.. This wasnt my first time, but the overall experience was a great one. The place aesthetics was of a sterile tattoo and piercing parlor. Tobias was really cool and talked me through the entire process and we were done in under 15 minutes.. I am now proudly pierced by Tobias! Thank you Sacred Tattoo!!!

Came here when I noticed my naval piercing looking not quite the way it should, was suspecting that is was rejecting. Came in and asked if I can ask for an opinion, waited about 15 min because the piercer was busy. He saw my piercing and said it was rejecting and it needs to come out and he did it for me. So nice, gave me some information for the future and was on my way without worry. I would come here to get another piercing, their tattoos look really good as well. The whole space is really nice and big.

I was visiting N.Y. for the first time and decided to get a tattoo that ive been thinking of for the longest time. I did a quick google search and came to this location and was quickly impressed on how friendly, helpful and passionate the staff were about their work. The artist that did my tattoo is named Igor and he was able to take the scrambled ideas i had in my head and piece them together to make tattoo that i am in love with. He takes his art seriously and his work was nothing less than a master piece. I wish i had a artist like him in my home town. I would love to come back the next time i visit N.Y.

The staff at ST is professional and friendly, and there is a great athosphere. I was given all the information on how to take care of my tattoo and 2 weeks after it has healed beautifully. I will certainly go back for my second one next time I am in NY.

This shop has a great atmosphere, from the receptionist to the person performing the piercing everyone was really nice. My girlfriend was a little apprehensive about getting her septum pierced but the woman performing the piercing was very comforting and supportive. Great place to get things done, we shall return!

Im a dude got both ears pierced. Such kind staff catered to make sure it was quick and simple. Lovely lady pierced them in 2 minutes felt like a small pinch. 10/10 would recommend to go here!

I got an industrial piercing a few days ago and Im so glad I came to this place. Starr (the lady that gave me the piercing) was super nice and gentle and answered all my dumb questions with no problem. She also gave me her contact info and assured me it was ok to contact her for anything. She even told me I could go back in case I had any problems w my piercing. Its a bit pricey but I really recommend coming here. Its a very clean and professional place so its def worth it.

I have never had a bad experience at Sacred. The team working their is professional and courteous, and friendly too. The shop is clean and the environment relaxing and fun; the interior is vast and open, which is nice compared to most cramped up shops you see. As with any professional shop with a high standard, they will tell you if your ideas for a tattoo or piercing are reasonable or not, and will work with you to make it look right, and sit right on your body.

Igor [@dead.tattooer] is an amazing artist. Could not be happier with the work or the service, super friendly engaging guy happy to take on artistically challenging projects. Clearly dedicated to his art.Shop itself is mad cool, playing lofi hip hop in the background I did my paperwork on an IPad in like 30 seconds and enjoyed a free coffee. They have a very open, lofty space that makes the tattoo process more comfortable, especially when you have to sit for a couple hours.They have a bunch of great piercers on staff too judging by the foot traffic and happy customers (I saw like 4 piercings in the 20 minutes I was waiting for Igor to tweak the design and set up).Will definitely come here again.

Got my one and only tattoo there. Great process, both in the consulting phase and the execution phase. Pain was not so bad as I had anticipated. No infection after. Maybe a little pricey.

I went in to buy a nose ring but the two girls at the front desk didnt want to let me see the rings and gave me pricing before I was able to even see the ring they wanted to suggest. On top of that, they told me not to touch the nose ring I was wearing because that puts everyone in the shop at risk of infection even if the piercing is already healed. I honestly feel like I was profiled as soon as I stepped in the place. Never again.

I got my dimples pierced by Star a couple of months ago, and I absolutely loved the fact that she knew what she was doing, she told me all the pros and cons right away and also was a sweetheart! I totes recommend this shop and her as a piercer! Keep the good job guys (:

This is a review of the gallery located in the shop which I only recently realized was there. I checked out a showing of works by Dennis Larkins.The gallery is a very small, though dedicated room to the right when you first enter the shop. The slate gray walls made all the art seem more dreary than it should have and the lighting was OK at best. When the art is high impact color and even 3D in nature, one would hope that attention to detail would be taken regarding the lighting situation.Those issues aside, the art that comes through the gallery was pretty impressive and I have no doubt that Ill be stopping back by in the future to check or more.

I got an 80s style pac man tattoo yesterday, and I was blown away by the shop, the quality of the work I recieved, and the staff. They offered free refreshments, were very friendly, and my artist (Roberto) was amazing. He really tied up the entire experience. It may seem a bit pricey, but youre really getting the bang for your buck. I am certainly waiting until Im in New York again to get the other tattoos I have planned.

Nick did a tattoo of my dog Coco last year. It healed well. He captured her perfectly. I absolutely love it. He totally captured her spirit. Will go back for more .

They only do custom tattoos so you wont get a tattoo here that you see on someone else. The tattoo artists are good and I have gone there a couple of times. I will be back again.

Had a bad tattoo and needed a cover up.. Everyone said I should get laser removal first but then I found Alisha and she is definitely an ARTIST! She made the best cover up .. She was very patient and gave me enough time to talk about what I want and how we can add that to the cover up! Very grateful for her 👍🏻 definitely recommended

Roberto came extremely late to my appointment like 2 hours late. Charges extra $250 when it was only a 50 min tattoo. Customer service didn’t seem to let me know that he was gonna be late.

My tattoo came out so messed up that Im gonna go pay another artist to try and fix it. I really, really regret using Sacred Tattoo. While the place seemed clean, and the receptionist very friendly and professional, I would have to rate my overall experience as negative and definitely would not recommend them to anyone.

I feel wronged by a bunch of crooks! I put a 200$ deposit down and then my artist quit. The studio would only give my deposit back if I got it in person but living far away I told them I would not be able to right away. When I had the opertunity to get my deposit back they said they would not. It was not my fault the appointment was canceled. I feel they took advantage and stole my hard earned money. Its not right to feel victimized by any corporation especially one that stands for individuals expressing themselves.

Peter did my tattoo today and I am very happy with he was super nice and very detailed, I was very comfortable with him. He understood what I wanted...and now cant wait for more work to be done!!

Andy did my tattoo and I found it somewhat massed up after few days.I paid $250 for a pretty easy 2-dimension figure on my shoulder and there are two mistakes made on it. Some of the parts are painted twice since some misunderstanding on the figure, first red and then black, now I find that the color of the parts looks pretty nasty and there are some white dots, but for the rest parts that are simply painted once in black, its normal and looks cool.Then two small parts are wrongly painted with red, which in fact should be black.The reception girl was knida nice and patient, but I would not recommend you to have ur tattoos made by the guy I talked about. Now Im really considering of removing this nasty tattoo.

They screwed up on my friends tattoo and made him still pay for it. They said they can fix it, but they just made it worst. Do some research and go somewhere else. Only reason why they have so many 5 star yelp reviews is because they force all their employees and friends to write them as a requirement. If they had so many happy yelp reviewer experiences, how come they don’t show off their tattoos on yelp, because they’re all fake! They got closed down at hells kitchen area for a reason. I wish someone warned me sooner. This place should be called Scary Tattoo not Sacred Tattoos, because you should be scared to get anything from here.

I wish I had read these reviews first. Such a big regret, Im so upset and depressed. I got overcharged for a little $300 tattoo on my arm. I thought I was paying extra for the quality as they promised. But was I wrong, it looks so nasty and goofy that I have to pay another artist to fix it. When I mentioned it was not what I expected, they got insulted and rude. And my buddys girlfriend went through the samething here. I suggest you guys go somewhere else, anywhere else. Because you only have one canvas, dont let scared tattoo mess it up like they are known for.
