The staff are welcoming and do not make you wait to be processed in. No long wait to see the service agent. Staff are professional and pleasant. I have been using thus service location for eleven years for the same car. Its easy to get an appointment. Hector was my service agent for approximately three years. He is cheerful and listens to what you have to say. I would recommend this location.

Adrian is extremely helpful.Made the process smooth and kept me informed periodically. He explained the process and as it was a busy day Adrian did not wanted me stay waiting long he advise to go home and assigned a staff member to take me home.Adrian kept me posted on the progress on the car services. I have to say I wouldve given 5 stars but the fact that I had to wait 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation is a bit much. I do understand it couldve been worse. Due to the storm many cars were flooded and damaged and it seems this location was over whelmed with cars. I do have to say waiting room had a great movie and the air conditioning was great for the hot day. Also everyone was professional and pleasant to speak to to.

The assistant service manager was rude he wasnt kind he needs to learn how to talk to people the right way and be more understanding. Also the left rear tire that was change doesnt look new more like used and the front left tire rim looks dirty and very sticky. I also asked for a shuttle that they are supposed to provide when you leave your vehicle they can take you home but the assistant service manager couldnt provide that either. Im no longer going to come back here going to go to another toyota service where they treat there customer with more respect and care about.

I have been a loyal Toyota customer for 5 years now and I have had my share of several other service and parts locations throughout the years and I must say that this location in particular is professional, kind, quick, clean, efficient, and overall a pleasant experience! I have to admit for the location I was a bit Leary but you are treated as if you are in a five star location! As we should be treated! I would like to highlight the incredible work of Devin Persaud who has been ever so healthful while remaining professional and courteous. He makes my time here an enjoyable one as he takes my concerns and worries each time and makes them his own and treated me like his own family! Ashley and Jonathan are amazing. I had an issue with my highlander on a Saturday and Ashley immediately scheduled an appointment for me to come in the following Monday. Not only did Ashley remember my name and situation, she demonstrated a genuine concern and empathetic understanding of my ordeal while offering reassurance that my vehicle will be assessed by her technicians. Jonanthan, service provider, listened attentively to my concerns and ensured that a full diagnostic on my vehicle was conducted.No words can begin to explain the top noch level of service I received from the Staff at Fordham Toyota Service. Devin is great at what he does. Very professional knowledgeable and such a pleasant individual. EVERY TIME I go for my scheduled maintenance inspection or even any concerns I had/have, he always addressed it with no hesitation. Not to many people understand how imperative it is to own a title, he does. Appreciate how he will go to that extent to make sure he has a satisfied customer. Jonathan couldnt have been nicer, and he was patient and didnt rush me in making a decision, which made a stressful situation a little less difficult. While I ultimately decided to not spend more than the car was worth for a car I rarely drive, he was gracious and understanding. I heart Toyota--though I will miss this old Prius.

Came to a scheduled appointment on time, but then had to wait over 1 hour and 20 minutes for my car to be taken for an oil change. Then in about 20 minutes I was told that it is done. I asked to check the brakes and was told that I have left 1 mm on the rear pads and 2 mm on the front and that I have to change all brakes and the rotors ASAP for a total cost of $1100. Next day I checked the brakes and found that I have about 3 mm in the back and over 5 mm in the front pads.I also checked the color of the oil and I am concerned whether it was changed as it is not as clear as I used to see after oil changes in the past.As a result, I would not recommend this place for routine service as they are NOT honest.

The repairs were for several recalls. My car was brought in for service on a Thursday and promised to have all repairs completed by the same/ next day. On Thursday I had to call to inquire about the status of my car late afternoon after not receiving a courtesy call. I was guaranteed that Friday the repairs would be complete by close of business to be picked up by 7pm (closing time). Friday I had to call to check on the status of the repairs due to no courtesy call again that was promised the day before and was informed that the repairs were being completed and the car would be ready Saturday for pick up. I called Saturday afternoon after not receiving a courtesy call and contacting the representative working on my vehicle directly (cell phone); however, getting no response. I was told that I had 20 minutes to pick up my car before closing and was unable. I finally picked up my car Monday afternoon. Everyone apologized and did not understand my challenege or did not want to. The Toyota service location at 235 West 154th Street, NYC 10039. The staff do not communicate with each other nor do they communicate with clients. No respect, no professionalism, no courtesy in dealing with clients time. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU EXPECT A SMOOTH EXPERIENCE!

Brought in new key to be programmed to car. Did get key to lock and unlock door, they informed me I needed a ECU transponder. Told Hector I wanted to get a second opinion cause that couldn’t be possible. I just lost the original key and was just replacing it. Charged me $315.00 for a jet that was not fully functional. Dared me to get the key to work with out changing the ECU Transponder. Well I Did get it corrected with changing any thing. Said he would refund me $100.00 dollars if the ECU was not the issue.

I arrived early for my appointment and waited over 90 minutes beyond my appointment time before my cars routine emissions inspection and standard mileage checkup started. It was another hour before it was complete, including a pause on work while I approved or declined various additional services.Covered what I needed, but took way longer than I had hoped.

Today I went to have an engine light looked at. I was told this could indicate several things, and I would have to leave the car. I explained the need to hv my car taken care of today. I was told that they would try there best to have it done. I spent 5 hours waiting, when I got a call and told it was done. I was very satisfied with the service, it was a full house today, and trough it all, I was able to get my car the same day. Thank you all who had a part in having it done for me. Thank you Alex, you are a man of your word.

Worst experience ever. Horribly experience yesterday. Went there for oil change at 7:30 am. Waited till 12 pm when they said that car is ready and just wait outside we will take it out. Then the car could start for some reason. Bought new battery stilll don’t start. Then they told me that I need to pay for diagnostic again 260$. Waited another 2 hours they said that it need fuse bulbs. Waited again. And they don’t have it for some reason. Next day same thing. Waited for 2 hours until they game me the car. Witjinh 3 hours car is showing me Maint Reqd. Spoke with the person that was doing the service and he told the same thing. He paid 3000 for some problem but the same issue kept occurring again for whole week. Not fixed. Scammers. Don’t even try to go there

My experience was very negative,1. I was to have an oil change, water, and general check, topping fluids, etc,Usually where I take my car a general check also includes checking and filling tires and , rotating if needed, assessingIt includes any other needs that may have to be done later. Costs Have never been more than minimal . cost of assessment is $0.

I’ve been driving for over 40 years and Fordham Toyota is one of the worst dealers I’ve seen. I thought the service department would be better than the sales department (would have been hard to be worse) but I thought wrong. Have had the car (which was Toyota certified) for six months and was told a strut needs to be replaced (at $600) and it wasn’t covered by the warranty. At least the oil change was good.

I had an appointment at 8am and left the place at 1230 for oil change!! when they were taking my car to the 2nd floor to do the work they had another employee ride along, so used my car as a service for the shop. Covid cases are sky rocketing at the moment here in NYC and they did not wear mask getting in and our of my car. the person that helped me was the only nice person i had conversation with but also wasn’t wearing a mask. they also cut a piece of plastic between my hood and windshield! i guess they could not figure out how to open the hood because the latch was broken. Anyway i spent $170 for all that inconvince. If that is worth your money and time than please go visit this place. Me on the other hand will drive to a different dealership that isn’t owned by fordham toyota.

Thermostat problem confirmed by computer check at prior shop computer.They would not tell me whether it was covered under warranty unless I signed $250 agreement to pay before their own diagnostic test.They then confirmed Thermistat problem and said not covered under warranty.They wanted to charge 5 hours labor and part for $950. Didnt want to replace just lost coolant but rather flush entire system and replace all.Poor business practice. Poor value.

I had a very negative experience with this business. Sales associate was not clear in his communication and the coupon I printed from the website was merely “bait and switch” and did not reflect the amount I was charged in the end. Even with an appointment, the car was not completed in a timely manner and I had to come back two days later for actual diagnostic and servicing . When I came to pick up the car, the car had been scratched on the door. Still waiting to see how they are going to remedy this situation. Very unhappy with this service.

The service is horrible. Many of the mechanics are not knowledgeable of how to fix the issues. Instead they make up bogus reasons for your issue. I recently took my 2019 Highlander in for a faulty battery and was told my emergency light is draining my battery and that was the reason why it would completely shut off and turn on at all. I had to get a jump two times I order for the battery to recharge . Does that make sense in a car less than 3 years ago? A good battery should last 5yrs or more. A defect was found but it took two days to get a replacement.

Been here before, i always shop around when various dealers post service service coupons. Needed an oil change and rotation (i do most of the maintenance myself). Other dealerships try to upsell on recommended services like new roc toy tried on me - coolant needs flush for $300 even tho car had less than 50k miles and was 3yrs old. I showed that adviser toyotas own published writing stating hoat coolant good for 7yrs 100k miles. Oops never going back there.Anyway fordham didnt try that nonsense and even honored me using two coupons (1 for synthetic oil change @$30 1 for tire rotation $10) cant beat that and was done in a timely matterFriendly staff. No b.s. repeat customer for a reason

I always go to fordham Toyota for service, but this time i was a bit disappointed, i told the service agent that i need an oil change , also mentioned to him that the rightside rare tire has some sort of nail thats why the tire pressure goes low, he said no worries we alway do free tire rotation and will fix it , but it wasn’t, this morning i was about to go to work saw that same tire at the same side was flat got late for work , it shows they didn’t do the FREE tire rotation and didn’t check anything, spent $873 for oil change and front lower joint replacement, i have to reconsider

I would give no stars if it depended on the servicing of vehicles every time I visited this place there was always something wrong despite the fact that I purchased my pre owned vehicle less than two years ago from the certified Toyota dealership. I took it in for routine maintainance only. It seems like they are money hungry because of the unreasonable pricing and they pray on customers they think have no knowledge about cars. I personally will not be visiting this service center again. I was almost robbed for 2,000 dollars for something that cost less than 300 dollars and in actuality there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. Would not recommend.

Was charged $189.99 for computerized wheel alignment when the same service is listed for $129.99 on the company website. When it was brought to the staff’s attention, I was told that what’s on the company website is only for two front wheels (it does not say that on the website; it says computerized wheel alignment for $129.99); $189.99 is for all four wheels. **Never** bring your car to the dealership unless you have no other choice. That’s true in many other cities, so I have nothing against the guys who work here. They just follow the corrupt Toyota Service Center business model, which is to gain trust with a fancy office and nice uniforms and Toyota logos everywhere, then lock you into paying at least $250 for the inspection, then hold your car hostage while demanding $500 for “reprogramming the computers” (for example).I went here in a moment of confusion and regret it. At one point I got tired of haggling over the phone and asked if I could come in and talk to someone face to face, and they said sure. When I got there they said no your service consultant isn’t here, come back in two days, and oh dear sorry the manager isn’t here either. In the end, two days later I negotiated out of half the bogus $500 and paid the rest just to get my car free.
