This place is pure magic if you’re looking for a fun, chill, not too loud, place for coffee and table games. As long as you spend money you can play any of the games they have from the ‘borrow’ wall. They also have a section of games for sale. Love it. Can’t wait to go back.

Game Point hits everything out of the park. The atmosphere is great, the crafted drinks are terrific, and the service couldnt be better. Even the bathroom was awesome! Most importantly, the game selection is perfectly curated, labeled, maintained, and extremely well rounded! The menu, besides having a great selection, also has game suggestions on the back organized by categories and what youre looking for.I am honestly blown away, and genuinely wish I had a place like this back home.If I could give 6 stars I would, buy instead Ill have to give 5 and promise to come back every chance I get.

I enjoyed this place. It had a very good selection of board games as well as a very organized layout. The drinks were good and the staff was friendly. I appreciated that there was not a cover charge to get in the door as is often the case in establishments like this one. I recommend this as a chill hang out spot.

Though the lighting wont qualify for cozy, it can be intimate when you wheedle into a corner and tuck into a board game w friends, family and a hot coffee or cold beer. The best selection of board games and Settlers of Catan tournaments abound on Sunday afternoons here lately. The uber friendly staff is refreshingly helpful when attempting a new game outside the normal comfort zone... easy enough on/off the freeway while traveling through Nashville. Forget the Gas Station shtuff and stretch ur legs here w a cuppa

Fun place to play board games! Great menu with snacks and sandwiches. Their hot cocoa is my favorite beverage. There is limited parking on site, so be prepared to street park and walk over. Shelves upon shelves of board games, neatly sorted and marked with various stickers indicating genre, competitive vs. co-op, and weight - the amount of time and/or intellectual dedication required to play a full game. All in addition to a delicious and unorthodox selection of lattes (seriously, try em) and house-baked snacks. Great atmosphere with a lot of space, too.

Found this place during a board game over stock give-a-way. A nice cafe to bring friends to play boardgames provided. The selection is impressive. They ask you each spend only five dollars each to use their games. What surprised me is when I matched the games they had for sale verses the going rate on the internet. They were competitive if not lower. Eat, drink, play and maybe take a game home, all in one place.

Being a board game player, this was a very cool place to find. I was nervous about meeting the new people at the cafe, but everybody was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome. There is a very wide range of games here to choose from and players to start games with or join in with. I also like that it is held in a cafe, so that if I am hungry and need a snack I do not need to go far.

Coffee is one of mans greatest inventions. As such there is no shortage of coffee shops. Game Point Cafe is no ordinary coffee shop though. It does serve your typical coffee shop fare including different coffees, teas, baked goods, and basic sandwiches. All of which seem to be more of healthy offerings. On my visit I sampled a handful of the food offerings and was really pleased with how fresh and tasty they were.Looking past the coffee shop aspect, Game Point is so much more! Its also a board game shop! They have large library style shelves filled with any type of board game you can imagine! The offerings are curated by serious board game enthusiasts, and catagorized with color coded, easy to understand stickers. Its really easy to find a game to suit your interests, skill level, and group size. There are plenty of tables to grab a game and just hang out and play it with friends. They also have a few beer offerings which they serve so if its evening time and coffee is not what you are feeling like.In addition to having a ton of great games to play they also have game coaches! Folks who are board game enthusiasts and experienced with many of the games on the shelf. My group picked the mind of one such coach and got some great recommendations for a few games to play. Not only were the recommendations great, but he helped us set up the game, and quickly explained the rules. So we were able to enjoy more time playing the game and having a good time, rather than reading a rule book to get going. When odd situations popped up with questions about rules, guess what, grab your coach and keep playing! No digging through a rule book for one odd situation! My group had a great time at Game Point Cafe! It isnt simply a coffee shop, its an experience. I highly recommend giving it a visit if you need a coffee, snack or beer. Give it a visit if you are into board games already and want a place to play one. Give it a visit if you are bored and need a new idea for something to do. You will not regret it.

I just moved from Nashville, but every day I wish I could have brought Game Point with me. Incredible selection; knowledgeable, helpful, but not overbearing staff; great coffee and beer options, too (although that’s a little bit more high praise for Bongo Java). Overall, I would highly suggest visiting (and staying), whether it’s to play classics like clue and battleship, those heavy modern games like Spirit Island and Terraforming Mars, or any game in between.

My husband and I were in Nashville this weekend celebrating our anniversary. We checked out a couple board game stores while we were in town. We had lunch here and played a new game. The panini’s were excellent! We had a great time. We ended up purchasing the game we tried out. Their game library is awesome! I wish their retail section was larger. We would make this our go to game store if they had more games for sale. But we will definitely be back!

This place is great!Tons of board games to choose from, and multiple copies of the most popular ones, so you dont have to wait for people to be done.We went yesterday, expecting to leave after a few games. We ended up staying for 9 hours!Without doubt, the best part of the experience is having someone on hand to explain new games. It allowed us to try several games wed never played before and would have taken an hour or more to learn if we tried to sift through the rulebooks. Rick helped us learn Alhambra and Carcassone, which I have been wanting to play for a while. He was super friendly and really knows his stuff. With his help, we picked up the games in just a couple minutes.I have no complaints at all about my experience, but I do have a couple suggestions for ways to make the place even better.Firstly, I think it would be a cool idea to have a system for helping people find people to play games with. Sometimes I really want to play some games, but dont have enough friends available to make it work. What if there was a way to indicate that youre looking for more players to join your group? Some plastic signs for your table, or a dedicated Looking for Group area, or something.Secondly, more snack-type food options would be cool, too. If Im staying at a business for multiple hours, I want to spend enough to make it worth their while. But I can only drink so much coffee. All in all, five stars. No question.
