I honestly can’t speak any higher of these guys. I was ripped off on marketplace and they were very honest about what’s worth fixing. Every time I’m in there they’re friendly and helpful. If I was single I’d probs try and date one of them, they’re that cool. Go get your bike stuff done there and support local!

I recently bought a moped and was looking for a specific piece. I called Shelby Ave Bike Co and they were super helpful. I purchased a bike online that required assembly and could not get it assembled for the life of me. I took it by Shelby Ave Bike Shop and they took care of everything and even tightened parts I didn’t even think to tighten. They aired up the tires for me and texted me as soon as it was ready and were very reasonable. They clearly have a passion for this business and HIGHLY recommend them.

My boyfriend bought a bike off of FB Marketplace last year and had it set up by Shelby Bike Co. He has been getting any servicing/repairs from this shop ever since!After searching for a similar find for myself for the last twelve months, I finally broke down and purchased a nice cruiser from the shop. I couldnt be happier. The staff was so helpful (and patiently answered every question I had).Cant recommend the Shelby crew more!

The owners are some of the nicest people. They go out of there way to make sure you feel well informed before buying anything. Even if they don’t have an item in stock they will recommend how to go get it even if they don’t get the sale. I make sure to always go to them for any biking related questions and repairs. I know my bike is in good hands there

Very helpful! Great with kids too. Stopped by to get a Chain for my sons bike, hes 8. They let him ride one of theirs while I was getting the chain cut to fit.

I am a brand new rider and I was incredibly happy with the crew at Shelby! They were so welcoming and encouraging and didn’t have any sort of pretension when it came to gear or equipment. I brought in a cheap road bike and they fixed a flat, trued the wheels and installed new brake pads. They gently mentioned ideas for future maintenance but they weren’t pushy or anything and stayed in my budget. When I arrived Max was on his way to lunch but stopped, helped carry my bike inside and answer any questions I had. David sent me a text when the bike was ready, easy peasy. I was so impressed with their service, plus there’s a SWEET ANGEL dog that hangs in the shop. I will return for sure.

Friendly neighborhood bike shop! Most of the bike shops around town are knowledgeable, but these guys add friendly customer service to the equation. Best bike shop that I have ever experienced. I was in the market for a new bike and I am so glad I checked out their shop.I wanted a Specialized bike, but wasn’t sure which model would be best for me. I was able to test ride a Tarmac and Roubaix for several days. This was amazing because it allowed me to get some miles on different models and make a truly educated decision.I ended up wanting to go with the 2020 model Roubaix and Austin ordered it from Specialized. Took about a week and it was even better than I thought it would be.Dave is a fantastic bike mechanic and extremely knowledgeable.Thank you guys for a fantastic experience!! I’m very happy with the new purchase.

I recently moved to East Nashville, just around the corner from Shelby Ave. Bicycle Co. I was biking down to the Shelby Greenway today when I decided to stop by the shop to grab some chain lube. Theyre clearly taking Covid seriously and as such are focusing on curbside service -- Brad instantly met me outside of the shop and courteously asked what he could do for me. I mentioned my chain was getting old and my gears werent shifting that well, he offered to put on a new chain and adjust my derailleurs. He had my bike finished and ready to go in ten minutes, all for an incredibly fair price. It rides like a dream. Thanks yall, youre my new bike shop!

This is a really cool, friendly little shop. I stopped in for a quick repair because the other local bike shop has been closed, and the mechanic was very quick and knowledgeable and he gave me a few good options. I’ll definitely be back for tune-ups and the like.

Took care of a flat (with new tire) in about 20 minutes for a very fair price. Friendly, helpful, and nice selection of bikes and accessories too. Real small town, casual vibe but they get r done! Bonus: Found free parking on the street about 15 steps away from the entrance.

WOW! Im so impressed. I took my bike over yesterday to get a tune-up, new pedals and a bell. I assumed Id have to drop it off, come back, blah blah blah....They advised me it didnt need a tune-up (honesty), replaced the pedals (speed, efficiency), added the bell to the handlebar and I was in and out in about 15 minutes! The cost? Very, VERY reasonable. Best part?Nicest people youd ever want to meet to boot!! Thank you.

This place is awesome! We rented the electric bikes and rode to the dam and back. The people there were super friendly, super helpful, and the bicycles they rent are top notch. I recommend this place to anyone looking to ride around Nashville.

Very knowledgeable. I havent been on a bike much in the last 20 (30?) years. David walked me through fixing a flat, explaining every detail as he went. He obviously is passionate about his work. There was also a baby in a papoose and 2 puppies that gave the place a homey vibe! Jesse you should see this place!

David is just a good person. When I walked into the shop to pick up my new bike, he was helping a couple fix their flat for free. After he was done with them, he took a lot of time to make sure he educated me on the new set up, as well as providing general care tips since I never owned a carbon frame. He even offered to give me a free tuneup when the bike is broken in. I’m not going to use e-commerce sites for my cycling purchases anymore, his service is completely worth the trip to the shop.

SABC was a very nice experience for me. I have been wanting to improve my health and I thought biking would be an easy way to start that process. I do not know much about bicycles and Austin, the owner, answered all of my questions without hesitation and to my satisfaction. As they sell real professional level bikes, I didnt walk out with a new bicycle, I am in saving mode, but I will definitely be back to Shelby Ave. Bike Co. when it is time to buy my bicycle. I have my eyes on that Specialized Sirrus to start!

I’ve got to start off by saying that the owner of this bike shop, Austin, was one of the most helpful and nicest guys ever. Not only did he let my bike team hold an event there (on a day that they were closed), but he also provided us with free supplies for our trip and gave me a huge deal on a tune up for my bike. This bike shop has an awesome staff that really cares about its customers and wants to help them find what they are looking for. Go check them out!!!

Had to take my bike to another shop to have it fixed correctly after coming here. I called and left a voicemail about brining it back to fix the issue that I first brought it in for but nobody ever called me back. Bummer because this place is so close to me. Found a super legit shop in Hendersonville though that did the job right the first time. This shop has cool hats and shirts though 👍.

Amazing! This is the best place to rent a bike (adults and children) if you are not into the bike share scene. Reasonable prices and very Accommodating folks! My son and I landed on Sunday to spend a few days in nashville. We had a hard time to find a shop that had kids bike rentals. We came across Shelby Avenue Bike shop. Austin offered to open the shop off hours just to accommodate us! He suggested a Townie for me and had an awesome mountain bike for my son. We had a blast exploring east nashville on our wheels. On our last day when we dropped off our bikes Austin (and Jean his adorable and friendly dog) again was there and so friendly. Hours later I reached out to Austin because we were in a bind with a flight delay. Once Again he was able to help us out! We plan to visit again and will most definitely go straight here. Ps: an added bonus: my son has never ridden a bike with gears before and now is a “pro”. thanks again Austin and Jean!

I have one gorgeous Cervelo R5 that I ride for all purposes - triathlons, general fun, long training rides, and daily commuting to work. Shes beautiful, a great ride, and I put a lot of wear on her. David and his crew gave her an amazing tune up. She rides like new and Im so happy to find a shop with great work, great communication, and great folks. I was super sad when RedKite closed, but Ive found my new shop!!.
