HORRIBLE. This was the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I have probably written 2 reviews in my entire life, but I cant let this one go. Went to look at a car. The salesmen, Eliud, was nice on Day 1 during the test drive. I was very interested in the car. Took my wife to look at it on Day 2. He wasnt as nice, but still informative/helpful. I called 2 days later to discuss price - no wiggle room at all. I was disappointed, but it was the car I wanted. I was going to pull the trigger 2 days later when he reached out to me and said someone had scratched the front bumper. I appreciate his honesty, but he said not only would I have to pay full price on everything, they are now raising the price $900. Someone on their lot scratched the car and I was the one who was going to have to pay for it.I reassured him Id buy the car for the initial asking price, but no way was I going to pay for body shop fees for something that happened on their time/their lot. He said that it wasnt negotiable.These guys are scumbags and are trying to squeeze every cent out of you. Its unfortunate because I really wanted the car - but no way I could do business with someone like that.

I could not have had a better experience. I took my Volvo there as there was was a nail in the tire and no Lugnut key to remove the wheel. Being an older Volvo, they searched through several boxes and found a used lug nut key and patched my plug my tire in a matter of minutes and at no charge. I will definitely be returning for future service for my Volvo C 70.

Terrible service from Eliud. He told me that they couldnt ship a vehicle, even if I arranged the shipping, which later turned out to be false. He told me his owner might not be willing to sell the car I was ready to pay for that day to someone out of state. He was rude and unhelpful - didnt seem to have any knowledge of his own and constantly had to rely on someone else to tell him whether his ideas were based in truth or just fanciful notions of his own imagining. He told me each Volvo dealership has a designated area whereby they can sell cars, and that this means they cant sell cars out of state - a lie, and this dealership lost my business because of it. Notwithstanding, he was also unwilling to meaningfully explain the excess charges on the invoice when I was trying to get a final price. And when I tried to work with another salesperson, was told Its a small dealership and I dont want to get in the middle. AVOID! Unless you can get another salesperson to work with you from the start.

We are very pleased with our experience with Martin Sandorff and Volvo of Nashville. We knew the exact configuration of XC90 that we wanted, and Martin was unbelievably helpful in getting it ordered for us. He was very quick in responding to all of our questions and very professional from the date we did a test drive through the delivery of the car. Everything was so straightforward with the whole process. We have had our XC90 for a week now, and we are so happy with our purchase. Weve had several great experiences at Volvo Nashville and plan to be long-time customers. The staff here are very helpful in the Services and Sales departments.We recently leased an SUV and Bob (our sales rep) was fantastic! He was highly knowledgeable about the inventory they had and about the features different trim levels offer. He truly has a customer-first attitude and we loved working with him.Ive been taking my used Volvo sedan in for service for 2+ years at this location and have had great experiences as well. Poor Service. Poor Customer Experience.Do not go to this location for Service. I went for my 10K mile service and long story short - I had to go back 2 more times to get their service fixed.Not to mention that when they did the oil change, they replaced the filter and pinched an o ring and the oil leaked out into my new garage and damaging personal items i had stored in boxes.Reaching out to customer service is pointless.They will not call you back. Dont waste your time.

WORST customer experience I have experienced in my life. Avoid dealing with Eliud Mendez and Bob Reuter at all costs. Attempted to purchase vehicle from out of state... offered deposit to hold vehicle for a day until I could make the 300 mile trip to the dealership. Was repeatedly told that they needed a signed contract and FULL amount of funds sent via bank for the vehicle. Long story short, they wanted me to pay and sign a contract for a vehicle 300+ miles away without laying eyes on it. Ive worked with dealerships in Atlanta, Birmingham, etc. and was NEVER given this type of answer or service. I was also hung up on repeatedly and told yeah yeah when I reiterated that I was a serious buyer or I would not have been inquiring about this XC90 for a full week. Seriously, avoid at all costs. Especially those two gentlemen. Highly recommend Volvo Cars of Georgia... OR basically any other dealership. Hope this helps someone down the line!

EDITED TO ADD: 12/4/20 They fixed the car after lying to us and saying they were going to “wholesale it” so it was “unavailable”… They relisted it on their website a couple weeks later and raised the purchase price by $2000 which is what I assume it cost them to fix it.. Fine. We wanted to buy the car since it had been fixed. Went to take a check in for literally the asking price of the car and they wouldn’t take it! Would not sell us the car. Said we were “problem buyers”— right... a car you sold me had a check engine light turn on less than 24 hours later and I’m the problem. We were very amicable throughout our entire miserable experience with them, but they were unbelievably rude. Trust me and stay away from here. If I could give these crooks zero stars I would!! And I will be posting this review EVERYWHERE.I’ve never written a negative review, but I had a horrible experience at this dealership and hope my story will help others avoid this place. My husband & I have been looking for an Audi Q5. Our search led us to Volvo of Nashville as someone had just brought in a trade. They didn’t budge a cent off the asking price which is fine. We test drove, slept on it, came back and paid cash for the car. The salesman probably spent 30 minutes total with us throughout the whole process. The day after we bought it, the check engine light came on. Panicking, I took it into Firestone where they told me I had to take it to Audi. In the meantime I emailed the salesman just to let him know. (I understand the car was sold as is.) Both parties amicable. After a $200 diagnostic test and three hours of wasted time spent at Audi, we found out the car we had owned for 48 hours needed nearly $3,000 worth of repairs. This is after the salesman at Volvo claimed they had just replaced everything that needed replacing. Such a lie- the car didn’t even have coolant in it. Devastated, I reached out to the salesman (again, amicably) who quite frankly could not have cared less. They refused to work with us at all. And I understand they didn’t have to. But they didn’t treat us like people that handed over a very large chunk of cash they didn’t even have to work for. I would have been happy for them to recognize our frustration and offer to either fix the issue that they could fix (coolant leak- they literally sold the car to us with zero coolant in it) or just offer even like $200 toward the repair- or something. I fully believe they never even popped the hood of that car; they just turned around and sold it blind. Either that or they cleared the check engine light in hopes it wouldn’t come back. They very much had a “sucks for you” attitude and didn’t think we’d actually return it, but we did. Once they have your money they don’t care about you or how much you spent with them. And after reading all of these one star reviews, I feel even more confident that they’re shady crooks. Take your business, time, money & energy elsewhere.

I bought a certified car (xc90) and it has been in shop 4 times in 6 months. Tried to get a manager on phone and there is not one. Owner will not get on phone with you but will accept a letter. Wanted to trade for a different car and no one willing to work with us. Everyone that has written a 1 star response is spot on. Tired owner (Mr Tune)terrible service, great location in bad part of town, no loaner vehicles, and once they get your money your a nothing. Go elsewhere!!!

I love my new Volvo. With so many black SUVs on the road, Ive had 3 strangers tell me what a beauty she is. Every bell and whistle and a great manual to learn from. But the best part is the customer service I received from Eliud Mendez. He is calm, friendly and professional. I know its his job to sell cars, but I never for a minute felt like I was being sold. I knew exactly what I wanted and what I expected to pay. He made that happen. I asked a million questions, and he answered them all with patience and courtesy. He and John Tune, the Sales Manager both came to the rescue when I was unable to register my Volvo on Call. I could not have asked for anything more from a car dealership. Bought a brand new XC90, that had multiple problems, and with less than 5000 miles on it just fully shut down in the middle of a busy road. Had to wait 3 HOURS for a tow truck from Volvo, and then was informed that neither the dealership or Volvo would help in any way at all with a loaner or rental car. A brand new car broken down for at least a week, and all this dealership will do is tell you “too bad,” and that they can’t do anything to help and you are just on your own to find transportation. Don’t buy from here if you want any help at all when their brand new cars break down on you. Completely worthless to even have a warranty with this dealership.

I highly recommend them because of the one-on-one service we received from John Tune II.We had a lot going on around the time we bought our XC 60. I called to see if my car was still under warranty and to get service on my car. I saw on their website that they opened at 7:30am and called at that time. My interaction with the service agent Josh was horrible. He was very agitated with me, wasn’t helpful and was annoyed that I called early on a Monday morning. I asked why he was being rude and he said because I’m calling incessantly at 7:30 on a Monday morning which is the busiest time for a car dealership. Well, if you would have answered the phone, and not deliberately hang up on me on one occasion, I wouldn’t have to call 5 times. Also, it’s not my problem if Monday mornings are busy and it shouldn’t have been taken out on me. I am stranded with no car, with 3 kids and a husband deployed and when I called to get my car fixed I was met with an extremely rude service agent and a terrible experience. After asking if I could speak to anyone else he told me no and he would not give me anyone else’s information. So I called corporate about my horrific experience with Volvo of Nashville. They referred me to Darrell Waltrip Volvo who were so friendly, helpful and respectful. Please save yourself some time and avoid this place.

This negative review is based on my experiences over about two years with the service manager, Frank, and not based on any other experiences at Volvo of Nashville, since service and parts are the only departments with which I have had experiences. Without going into too much detail, the bottom line is that Frank is a jerk. The costs of repairs at this dealership are also outrageous by comparison to literally any other European auto mechanic shop in town. Between the after-market extended warranty on my car, and my own out-of-pocket expenses, I have given about $9,000 to Volvo of Nashville in two years and have received extremely low customer service during that time from Frank. It almost seems as if Frank wants to run off customers. I finally told him that I wouldnt be back and it was apparent that it made him no difference either way. The original reason for my call at that time was that I was politely trying to make a case for how poor the service is there and inquiring as to whether this dealership offers occasional service coupons like most of the other shops in town. Frank told me during this very brief conversation that I needed to get to my point because he needed to get back to work. Thats when I decided I would never be back. That was quite a few months ago. Today, I called to ask a question and after answering it, he hung up on me. I would recommend staying far away from this dealership.

This is my third Volvo purchase in the last 6 years. I lease a Volvo, have zero problems and great service, enjoy the car, and then just pick out my next Volvo. It is just that easy! I am a Volvo driver for life and would highly recommend Volvo of Nashville as a great place to purchase your next vehicle. Karen was the Sales Manager in Atlanta and recently moved to Nashville. I Will Never Buy Another Volvo Because Of This Place!!!!I needed parts for an alignment. The shop I was using for the alignment called and the parts dept refused to even take the call. Their policy is that they do not sell parts nor give prices nor ANYTHING to the public or outside shop because they want to try steal the repair for there own shop. I went there, being the owner of the car, and purchased the parts and had them installed at my preferred repair shop. It just so happened that I needed additional parts. I called them up and the parts dept wouldnt even come to the phone.....again. The kept referring me to the website or come back in even though I explained to the woman that I had just been there only hours ago to pick up the parts I had previously ordered. This is completely disgusting and a mild form of extortion!!!!Thank god for Waltrip Volvo in Franklin. I called them and not only was I able to order the additional parts but THEY DELIVERED THEM!!!! I highly recommend this dealership but because of the disgusting way Volvo of Nashville does business, I will never purchase another Volvo nor will I ever recommend a Volvo because of the way this business extorts its customers and Volvo allow this!!!!These statements are entirely true and I am protected under the first amendment of the constitution.Your experience may be different.....Good Luck!!!!!!!!

So basically the owner is not a friendly person. I pulled up at 5:55 not realizing they close at 6. So I just thought I would look at the cars on the lot. A man comes out and I ask if he was a sales person. Very rudely he says Im the owner. Im thinking excuse me. I asked how much longer were they open. He says we close at 6pm and have every night for 40 years very rudely. Again I didnt know that. I just would not buy a car from someone so rude. He cost his team a sale bc Im actively looking for a car.

I previously considered Volvo to be a luxury car brand. However, after owning an Audi and Lexus and dealing with fantastic service departments, I see a MAJOR difference in the quality of service that Volvo offers. My car stops on the interstate at 39k miles only to need an engine replacement. One of my keys was faulty, so I brought that to them to fix while the engine was being replaced. After my car STOPPED on the interstate, they still charged $400+ to replace a key that was faulty. Fast forward to less than a month later and my speaker is rattling, but they cant get my car serviced for 2 weeks because they are so far behind. Sounds like you should invest in quality people that can service cars a little bit quicker. Now Im going to be driving around with a rattling speaker. Its a completely different service experience than I anticipated with A dealership offering cars at this price point. This will be my first and last Volvo vehicle. Or perhaps it is just this dealership that cant get their act together....Added Note: because of my negative review, I wasn’t allowed to have a loaner vehicle while my car was being serviced. I was promised one and then when I got there, they said no. I asked why and the manager said, “why do you think?” He proceeded to tell me that the owner saw my review and my name on the schedule and wouldn’t allow me to have a loaner. I waited until I got rid of my Volvo before I wrote this part of the review.I find it problematic when a business can’t take criticism and try to rectify issues.

Having the time to review and ask questions without pressure was especially good. The salesperson, John Phillips, was kind and patient throughout the process, and we liked that the entire process was transparent, including not having to haggle over prices and actually being able to see the used car values for the trade-in process. That this is a smaller, single-family-owned dealership for half a century was appealing as well; all reviews were excellent, which helped make the decision to buy here. Access into and out of the facility is great, as its more centrally located. The experience at Volvo of Nashville was superior in all ways to previous car shopping at larger dealerships, and I recommend them to anybody whos looking for a Volvo.

The service department turned a potentially bad customer experience into a very good customer experience. In addition to routine service and a recall, I asked them to address a very bad vibration in one of my tires. Further inspection revealed an issue with 2 of my 4 tires. The tires have some sort of internal foam ring to reduce noise. It came loose and was wobbling around inside the tire. Ive had issues with bad tires in the past so I knew tires are not generally covered by the vehicle warranty. The dealership explained it would not be safe to drive on my current tires and a new set would be about $1100. I told the service person that I was very disappointed to have paid so much for a car that now needed $1100 worth of tires after only 19K miles. He was very sympathetic and explained that this was an issue he had seem before. For this reason, he recommended I replace the tires with tires that do not have the foam stuff on the inside. I thanked him and told him I would be looking for tires elsewhere. He asked me to give him a day to make the situation right, and I agreed. The following day he called me back and explained a couple of different things. I believe he was able to get two tires covered under the warranty and another two donated from a vendor. The end result is that I had to pay a prorated amount for the warrantied tires so I was out of pocket about $300 instead of $1100. Needless to say, I was very pleased. In a day and age where customer service seems to be nonexistent, this dealership has been a pleasure to do business with (sales and service).

We own a 2016 and bring it here for service...always been a good experience. I called today to schedule a repair that will probably be expensive and take a few days. I told the service advisor that Id like to get in as soon as they could get us in with a service loaner and he told me that they dont do service loaners any more. Since I live and work 20 miles away, that means I wont be a customer any more. Such a shame when Volvo is really doing well re-establishing itself as a viable luxury brand to for it to be let down by underperforming dealers like this. You want to compete with Audi and Mercedes stores? Even the Kia store I go to has service loaners. From here on out, every time I have our Volvo serviced,(somewhere else), Ill keep a running mental tally of all the money this dealership just threw out the window by scrimping on the customer experience.

You know, I just really didnt like the attitude of the guy whose dad owns the place. I went in on my birthday wearing every day clothes and ready to trade in sight unseen for an XC40, Id wanted a Volvo since I was 16 at this point, even willing to build and price the ideal car that I wanted and deal with the 14 week(at the time) wait. Totally dismissed, discouraged, and disengaged. I wound up getting the exact XC40 I wanted elsewhere, and am so happy with that experience that the bad one here was a blessing in disguise.

There was a check engine sign on my dashboard and took it there for diagnosis and repairs. After diagnosis and repairs, the sign came back the next day and I had to take it back again for second diagnosis. Its expensive so I didnt like that they couldnt figure out the problem on the first diagnosis.
