I absolutely love this place. They are respectful and dont take advantage of you. My husband and I drive a lot of miles for work so we are visiting here frequently. They are always willing to help. They fixed my A/C over the summer and then it quit working again, took it back and they fixed it, no charge! Dont see many businesses like this anymore!

I recently stopped by for a state inspection on one of my vehicles. Everyone was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The service itself was very fast! I plan to return when my other vehicle needs an inspection, and for any other maintenance it might need in the future.

Hands down the best mechanic shop in Morgantown. The staff is the best and way more trustworthy than any other mechanics I have visited here. As an out of state student, it has been hard finding a friendly, trustworthy mechanic shop that does a phenomenal job. So glad I found this place. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Sadly this place has good reviews because of quick state inspections.Had a $1000 brake job done here. They seem get a good business volume due to the location, being close to university and interstate.Had a list of issues, mainly brake related, recorded when I dropped my car. I was told some good quality Wagner rotor sets would be used while I dropped the car. On picking up, they had put some cheap quality Wagner set which started having surface rust within a months of replacement. A decent rotor with powder coated sides and slots would cost about $50 on the whole but their business relies on putting cheap spares so that people come for repair often.Also mentioned them to replace cabin filters which is simple task. On picking when asked if filters are changed, bob said they have been changed but it wasn’t billed. So I thought they did that $20 for free. Cabin still felt smelly and when I brought the car to Shorty Anderson’s, they said it wasn’t replaced. After replacement, it felt much better.Car also felt having excess body roll on corners and they said that the entire suspension needs to be replaced which is another $1000. When I was at Shorty’s, they said that the sway bar link was worn out. On replacement the car handles very well now.This location is good example for milking money out of your pocket as much as possible.

Absolutely love this place! Took my Kia Sorento there to get the oil changed and a new inspection sticker. They serviced my car in 10 minutes and also gave me a student discount! Will definitely be returning!

There expensive compared to most places but it was convenient..

Excellent service and very quickly gets you in and out.

Good for quick oil change and regular maintenence/state inspection. But cant help in detecting issues with car. Change oil regularly here. But once went there with a grinding noise, gives a quote over $2000, and are about to change every thing in the front two wheels. But then went to another store and changed only the rear brake wheels and pads, costing only around $150 and told me there is absolutely no issue with front wheels. Already over six month passed and drives around 3000 miles with the car after that, nothing noticeable upto now.

I used to go to another mechanic in the area but due to their busy schedule I decided to look around. From the beginning they were courteous, professional from the phone call to in person. Been correct and on point through 2 Suburbans, 2 PT Cruisers, Durango, KIA, Ford pick-up, Jeep, and VW.Full service, tires, brakes, squeaking frames, bulbs, and State Inspections. Batteries, wipes are on site.Compare to dealership, usually 25% less expensive, and his knowledge outweighs their best service departments.

It is the only place in town without a long wait and you dont have to make an appointment a month in advance like the rest of these places around here. They will fit you in and the waiting room is really nice and more than adequate. They run like a well oiled machine over here and they are extremely helpful and friendly. Very nice to me through all my questions and the man who I’m assuming is either the owner or manager even showed me what was wrong and thoroughly explained everything to. In my opinion the price was way better than what I found at most other places and I was able to serviced the same day I came in! Very happy with the customer service and I plan on bringing my car back here for any future mechanic needs through the school year.

Had my transmission fluid changed here, and they barely put in enough fluid for me to make it home before my check engine light came on and the transmission stopped working. Save yourself the time and headache and find a better shop for your car maintenance.

Traveled from out of town for a conference and heard some weird noises under the car. Dropped it off & had it back the next day for a very reasonable fee to fix several things on the car. The owner was very polite and Id recommend the mechanics to anyone who needs some work done on their car.

This place is the real deal. Honest, reasonably priced and skilled staff. I took my car two other places before coming here on a recommendation. While waiting briefly for assistance, I witnessed a customer who needed a tire replaced on a Saturday. He didnt have the tires on site but told her where she could buy them for a reasonable price and what she should expect to pay to have it put it on. He told her if they didnt have time to put it on that day, that she should buy the tire and bring it to him and he would put it on personally for the right price. Already, I was impressed.When it came to my vehicle, he quickly assessed the issue. The car had originally started overheating and so one place told me I needed a new thermostat. I had it replaced but it didnt solve the issue. Another told me I had a cracked block. Before I bit the bullet on that, I looked to Morgantown Express lube for a second opinion. The technician looked it over and assessed the issue correctly. He was able to replace my water pump and timing belt within two days (and this is NOT a small job). I called around to price it out and his offer was the best. I have not had any issue with my vehicle since then.What impressed me most about this place was the ownership in their work. They understood that honesty and good service is a business model that works for everyone. They are clearly proud of their work with good reason, and without gouging prices. I doubt you will have to look very far to find another equally satisfied customer.Please dont make the same mistake I did. Come here first. You will be glad you did.

Just discovered Morgantown Express Lube, thanks to my son who recommended them based upon reviews and his friends. I have taken both cars in for work and repairs, they are polite, reasonable, and professional. After many years of car ownership in Morgantown, I can finally say that I have found as good as it gets for mechanics.

I went to two other auto-repair shops, and they insisted that my car did not pass inspection because of my tire tread depth and shock absorber (strut). If you know WV laws, this state has NO minimum tire tread depth. Furthermore, my shock absorber was working, just kinda old. However, I quickly called this repair store, they said they had time. I went in, the mechanics were very polite and greeted me. I was in and out in 10 minutes. This was around 3:30 pm, was when I did it. No problems with inspection, but they did suggest that I might need new tires soon, but they passed the state inspection for me. Good and honest mechanics, seems like uses a franchise name, but really run by great people.

Ive been bringing my vehicles to Bob for years now. Hes fair, does good work and I trust him and his staff. Most recently my truck had sat over winter, I had it towed to his shop. While I was working with a limited budget he continued to work with me and stayed in contact as work was being completed. I dont know why anyone would go anywhere else. These guys are nothing but polite and efficient. This is the second time Ive done a walk in and theyve accommodated me right then and there. They should hang a sign board with their name on it. I passed the place several times because of not seeing their name anywhere. In terms of service, they are professional and reasonable in terms of price.

I read a bunch of reviews to determine which place to go to and they had the best reviews. I don’t live in Morgantown but spend time there for Dr appointments. They took me within 10 or so minutes of being there and the job was done quicker than most places! No waiting for hours like some other places I’ve been to. They were curtious and friendly. I also needed a new air filter and they showed me and asked if I wanted to replace. No wondering if I actually needed one or not. Would definitely recommend and will return in the future when I’m in town. In a little city like Morgantown that has tons of auto stores you have to stand out and this place definitely does!

My experience with Morgantown Express Lube has been frustrating and expensive. I would caution all before bringing your car here for service. I initially brought my car because it was making a strange noise. I was informed that my exhaust pipe was the issue but this job could wait. After the noise grew louder and my car was not starting properly, I brought my car back. I was quoted a pretty steep price to fix the problems but I was optimistic that this would be the solution and trusted the shop owner with my car. A week later, I got my car back and it was fixed. It was fixed with a $300 muffler (among many other charges) that was damaged. The shop owner did not inform me of this and it wasnt until I checked the car out at home that I saw the damage. When the shop owner was questioned about this, he said the part was brand new and I would have to talk to the guy who did the job who, of course, was not present to answer our questions. After 48 hours with my car, it died. I had to have it towed back to Morgantown Express Lube where they said I needed a new starter. When asked why they didnt check the starter in the first place, I was given an illogical response. Meanwhile, the shop owner tried to say that I somehow damaged the muffler in the 48 hours the car was in my possession. The shop owner did replace my starter (for a $) and put on a new muffler...which came with further frustration when the shop did not have the part in when they told us to come back. I share my story so that others take caution before bringing their car to this shop. My experience was the nightmare everyone hears about from auto mechanics who are dishonest and out for your money. Please consider alternative options before trusting Morgantown Express Lube with your car.
