They have my favorite cookies, the bittersweet cookies. They are always so good. The texture is amazing and they are the perfect bit of soft but not falling apart. They sell a few of their cookies in a bag so you can get more than one. I always opt of the bag because my family always wants one. It is also super cute inside. I am not a coffee drinker but my mom does enjoy their coffee. There is seating inside and outside. People working are very friendly and helpful. I just realize I only talked about the bittersweet cookies but their other cookies are also so good as well as their pastries.

What a great bakery/coffee shop. Have had bakery items there and enjoyed the quality. Coffee could use a little bit strength and higher quality. Service was okay but a few individual counter workers didnt seem to care much for customer service. The real criticism I have is for the sandwich I had today. It was a chicken salad on a croissant. First it was 10.00 with no chips or garnishments, 2nd there was a small amount of chicken salad on the croissant and the rest was lettuce. I ordered the sandwich and it came out about 1 minute later. It did not appear that any care was put this sandwich. The person just handed me the sandwich on a bare plate and said Here you go. I hope that this restaurant/bakery can look at there lunch items and take inventory. Cuz there are so many other goods about this place.

Rustica holds a delightful tension between hip-chic coffee shop and accessible cafe for your classic coffee, pastries, and baked good. The warm wood accents and features are welcoming as well as the barista staff. The patio is charming but not overwhelming. The simply layout and menu provides a sense of upscale cafe but never dives into pretentious. Visit on a weekend and youll find swaths of people meeting up in both the indoor and outdoor space. Drop in on a week day and youll have your seat of choice.

Everything is always delicious from Rustica! For the holiday pick-up order they allow you to order a drink with your pick-up. However, then you have to go to the register and tell them you are there so they can start your drink. They dont quite have this system perfected yet. I recommend just ordering your pastries for pick-up and order your drinks once you get there and you will get them quicker!

I made my visit to the Rustica cafe by bike the other morning. While there is no formal bike parking directly in front of their place, you can lock your bike up on the metal fencing surrounding the front.I went inside to find a very unique and cozy looking place. I particularly liked how the staff did not have a formal uniform. Everyone was dressed nicely with their own style. This adds a nice flavor to the environment. They have a beautiful looking assortment of fresh baked breads, coffees, and a small menu to order from. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that took about 10 minutes to arrive. This was no problem as it gave me time to get situated and take in the place. When it arrived and I took my first bite, it was delicious. They have courteous, smiling staff. A beautiful and calm environment set up and quality eat/drink offerings. This will certainly be a bakery high on my list for picking up a weekly loaf.

Went for lunch on Saturday. The avocado toast was very good, flavorful, and would definitely recommend even though it was $10. I also tried the ham and swiss baguette, however, it was pretty boring. Just a few slices of deli meat and cheese on a baguette with mustard. I would have liked to see some tomatoes or lettuce in the sandwich, maybe an option for pesto mayo...definitely not a $10 sandwich. Overall a good experience though, and great coffee shop ambiance. I would highly recommend the bittersweet chocolate cookies.

Used to be a nice place but has turned. All the products are brought in from a different source that are served at three other cafes all claiming them as their own and products have changed not for the better. Coffee is made out to be high quality coffee but many drinks are not good and the coffee quality itself is far from high quality. Management used to be very nice but they hired a new guy, Lorin, who was very rude. Will not be returning or giving them any more business.

I visited on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. I noticed a couple people in the restaurant changed their orders from “for here” to “to go” because they couldn’t find a spot to sit. I really enjoyed the egg sandwich I got, however I was disappointed with my beverage order and savory focaccia. I ordered an oat milk chai and instead received an oat milk latte. When I spoke to the barista he said I received an oat milk latte because it was rang up as such, however it was definitely not what I ordered. They made me a new drink and it was fine, but it was very disappointing to wait for a beverage and then to receive something completely different and have to wait again. The same thing happened to a friend of mine where she placed an order for an iced drink and instead received a hot beverage. The focaccia I received was mainly good, except on the top of the bread, this area was too bitter for my taste (potentially because it was over baked?). Also, for those who plan to study here, just a heads up that there are not many outlets available in the seating area.

Great baked goods. Coffee and service left a lot to be desired. First attempt I ordered a skinny mocha, light on the chocolate. I received an oatmilk mocha with so much cocoa powder it tasted like chalk. I returned it and instead asked for a skinny latte with whip, I was informed they dont even carry skim milk (would have been nice to know the first try) would 1%be okay? Sure! Got a latte with no whip. Brought it back up to the very annoyed barista who asked if she could dump some out to make room for the whip, which was fine. Then they didnt have any. By this time I am out of time and couldnt wait around for them to make whipped cream. I got a underfilled latte, a sorry, and that was it. No offer for a refund, no future discount or anything. Extremely disappointed. Customer service is important people.

Today’s was the first time I went to Rustica since the world turned upside down and I am sad to report that the bakery that I used to rave to others about is not the same anymore. Although I am glad that the place has survived despite many other shutting down, the quality is just not the same. I bought some of my favorites and it was a hit or miss depending on the item. The baguette was still very good and the ham and cheese croissant was perfectly flaky but the eclair and the kouign amann were unrecognizable. The eclair, which used to be out of this world and topped with a beyond generous amount of delicious chocolate, is now a small, sad version of its pervious self with a dough texture that I completely disliked and chocolate topping that was barely there, which might not be a bad thing because the chocolate itself was not good. The amann is just a big no. I’ll give it one more shot in the future and try out a few other items but I might be on the lookout for a new bakery going forward.

Its right next to a lot of other shops in a shopping center. Free parking = a win in my books.Onto the setup. Its very streamlined with the pastries in a case right by the entrance and the register right at the end of the case. All the pastries were so pretty & I was staring so hard at them trying to narrow down what to get that I forgot to take a picture of them in the restaurant. Oops.I ended up narrowing down what to get (with difficulty) - the brioche pastry, the pistachio chocolate one, and the almond paste filled one (not pictured). They were all soooo crispy and flakey on the outside and soft on the inside - as a proper pastry should be. I felt like I was eating at a French bakery. Loved every bite and made me wonder why I didnt come here sooner!Next time I will have to try their coffee - I bet it pairs well with their desserts.

The manager Kurt (sp?) came out and said that they had no German-from-the-home-country bread in stock, but recommended some thicker breads they did have. Kurt was very friendly and helpful: he cut me samples from several different loaves, explained each piece, and I purchased a thick whole grain blueberry bread that was fantastic.
