Wonderful and interesting mixed espresso drinks. My favorite so far is the seasonal All Day/All Night drink. Each drink has such cool flavor notes, you really cant go wrong what you order.

Its a good place to grab coffee. The drink menu is nice with really creative drinks, ample seating, good parking availability and theres a good vibe overall. Usually it takes a little more time to get your coffee, but it is worth the wait.

Five Watt coffee has such cool coffee cocktail offerings. This location is pretty cool inside (and has an Amazon locker, if you want to use that AND get good coffee). The latte was good, with a cheap switch to oat milk compared to other places. The coffee cocktail I got was cold brew coffee sweetened/flavored with local root beer syrup. I thought it was great. It was tough to pick a drink though with so many unique options!The young man working the cafe was very nice and friendly as well.

Very nice atmosphere, and the Pumpkin spice was excellent.

Best Cappucino in a real cup! The Cap was one of the best Ive ever had. Balanced, sweet (without sugar) and not too milky. Espresso was either under-extracted or so acidic, it wasnt ideal. Im just starting to get into light roasts, so maybe it just wasnt to my palette.

When seating is available this location is always a great atmosphere for productivity with decent drinks.

What a letdown. Had seen lots of great reviews and my experience didnt match them. Trying the baked goods was unnecessary, you could see they wouldnt be good. My partner tried a muffin anyway. It was ok. The coffee though was not ok. The flavored latte she got was overly sweetened. Starbucks level over sweetening. Very very sweet. Some people probably like it I guess. The double shot latte I had was at least not overly sweet, but it tasted watered down & a bit burnt. All this was surprising as this place has better reviews than other more high end, coffee snobbish type places I love. Anyway, this happens sometimes when you try new coffee shops. Maybe it was an off day. Maybe the crew was poorly trained or in a bad mood or management did something to throw off the flow. I dont know. This was the first and will be the only time I try Five Watt. I wasnt going to leave a review but Google prompted me with a notification or three until I gave in & wrote this.

Not my favorite. Really loud atmosphere, drink wasn’t very good (couldn’t finish it), and staff was pretty unfriendly when I arrived. Maybe I just came in on the wrong day?? Unfortunately not worth trying again for me.

Ive only been here to pick something up from the Amazon Locker. Staff were nice and the Amazon Locker experience was smooth and convenient. I will warn that you will have to come while the cafe is open even if its just for the Amazon Locker, so be mindful of the store hours.

Hands down the best specialty coffee drinks in the city period. Cool hip industrial location, friendly staff. Vetted as a great place to chat with a friend, but also a good spot to dig into your work on a laptop. (Plugs a plenty, with a name like that theyd HAVE to, right?)

Amazing small business coffee shop with an intriguing menu of beverages flavored by Five Watt syrups and bitters. Kingfield is Vanilla, Coriander Bitters, Espresso, Oat milk (for only 25cents!) and Black Hawaiian Sea Salt. Hokai Amplifier is Matcha, Basil Syrup, Fennel Bitters and Milk. Delicious and unique! The staff are super friendly and helpful.

First, I love pretty close to the Five Watt in Minneapolis, and its not a place I hit up often.When I was invited to go over to the NE Five Watt I was at first just thinking it would be a repeat experience. I was wrong.These two places feel entirely different from one another.I had no idea it serves food, which from the menu sounds amazing. They have beer in the tap, and the staff is chill, with a much less in your face, Im better than you, attitude. Same with the customers. Feels more approachable. More comfortable.Even though I have to drive all the way across the city to get there, its well worth it.Oh, and wine on tap.

Really great coffee, teas, and other creative drinks. Vegan friendly. Lots of outlets. Good option to work from. Really friendly staff. Bike parking out front. Some picnic tables outside. Right next to Headflyer Brewery, so there are sometimes food trucks out front for extra food options.

This is my go-to coffee shop for morning professional meetings near the University. Great coffee, great space, and lots of free parking thats always open. Reliable.

Stopped on a wim and glad I did! What a a fantastic spot. Looks like there is a space for live music! Theres also beer on tap which is great because if someone drinks too much there is strong coffee aide in that situation! The coffee is fantastic, the unique ingredients are surprisingly delicious and the variety will make me return to this spot! I cannot wait to spend a little more time here and not just take coffee to go. Thanks for the energy, all around!

Great coffee: I ordered the Americano, which was super tasty, not at all burnt or bitter, and smooth.Great space: tons of windows for great light, a bunch of space to sit and talk, open up a laptop to work, and a big table for group meetings.And the friendliest staff, hands down.

This hidden gem is AMAZING! I dont usually like specialty lattes but I figured Id try one and it was truly phenomenal!!!!! Service was great too! Cant wait to come back!!!

I really like the coffee and vibe here. Decided to try this one day instead of driving to SpyHouse and I’m so glad I did. Love the local art around the place, love the amble outdoor seating. Not too crowded like many other coffee shops. I tried the Busy Beaver drink my first time there and am obsessed with it now. Spicy & sweet.One critique, I asked the barista about gluten free options and he clearly had no idea what that meant, but didn’t ask for more information. He mumbled something about different types of almond milk. I asked because I am allergic to gluten and I saw some of the drinks have brownie batter. My suggestion is to train staff on common food allergies, a basic knowledge for the food or beverage industry.

This is probably my favorite coffee spot at the moment. Love the layout and feel. Very friendly to study or get work done. I recommend the Kingsfield for coffee and the Northern Fog for tea.Havent tried the hotdogs it beer yet.

Very friendly staff ready to help as soon as you walk in the door. Excellent coffee house vibes - the music wasnt too loud and the local artwork was inspiring to look at. Its a great place to gather for a deep conversation or a cozy spot to sit and write for a morning.

Amazing chaider! I could smell it across the room and the mug it came in was so cute! The windows are massive and get so much sun even in winter! I just sat there like the happiest of plants. The pesto panini sandwich was heavenly as well!

Great coffee. I’ve tried “The Residency” blend, roasted recently on 9/18 and it was smooth and flavorful. I highly recommend it.

Great ambiance, lots of tables to work at. Parking lot makes it easy too! Enjoyed my Kingfield with oat milk.

Lovely inside and more than enough tables and chairs for fellow work from cafe commuters. Good coffee in a simple mug (which is somehow hard to find lately). A couple more outlets around for those of us who are battery saving challenged would be helpful.

Five Watt is a true gem and my new go-to spot. They have the best specialty coffee drink menu in town and the staff is so kind and helpful. The Kingfield latte is my favorite so far but you really can’t go wrong. Definitely check them out!

I didnt like it. They dont serve food anymore and also they were only one staff member doing everything by herself so things were slow and not efficient. Also, i had macha latte and it just tasted like water...

Cozy shop serving high quality coffee! The staff are friendly, make an effort to get to know the customer, and go out of their way to make regulars feel appreciated. The turkey sandwich is AMAZING. Love that they advertise local music/bands and art within the shop. Five Watt also supports local food, beer, and spirits. The only issue with this location is the cross walk on Hennepin outside the cafe; not many drivers obey the signal.

Environment is great for a chat with friends, date, or studying. The food was delicious, the desserts scrumptious, and the coffee drinks perfect.It was our first time finding this cafe and I know that well be back for dates or study dates in the near future!

Great coffee, friendly baristas, decent amount of seating. The only drawback is the space to wait for drinks is kind of cramped and awkward because you’re standing directly next to people sitting at tables.

Excellent location, novel flavors and great staff make this hip coffee shop a must stop for all paying through.

My favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities! I spend so much time here working on assignments, grading, and reading. Reasonable prices and great drip coffee. Easy parking, lots of tables and outlets at each. I love the big windows. Wonderful staff. Thanks Five Watt for helping me survive grad school!

Coffee drinks are a little bit pricey, but well worth it. They have the most unique seasonal drinks I have ever found, and they arent sugar bombs 🙂

I have been coming to this five watt since it opened because it was near my work, but now it is near my home. I was honestly disappointed with this location each time I visited but kept giving it another shot because the other locations always made great beverages and had friendly service. I think it could have had something to do with the quality of steaming alternative milks, but also the espresso. Not to mention a barista laughed at me for asking if there was decaf cold press. He thought it was ridiculous, but the other five watt had decaf cold press when I would frequent there.I’m writing this to say, I think this spot has changed. I’ve been coming in again recently and the service has been great, my drinks have been so perfect, and the covid precautions make me feel very safe. If you happen to feel the same was as I do, I’d definitely give it another shot.

Very unique coffee selections that come with designs the wife took pictures of. A leaf and a heart I believe. I had the all-day/all-night which is a butterscotch espresso. It was fantastic. Cool atmosphere and it appears they may have music there as well.

Most of my east side meet/greets are done here.Coffee is outstanding and its typically quieter than most small coffee shops can be; location is great too.Id still go but if its ever possible, itd be great to see a patio or extended outside seating. Tough spot because of road noise but its the only thing lacking for me.Service and time to wait is awesome. Keep it up!

Do not miss their all day all night coffee. It’s my all time favorite. Love all of their coffees, I’ve tried the entire menu by now! This is one of the best coffee houses for me to take my laptop and work. The place has parking which is really really welcome, and the coffee is great as well. I took my papers to grade, and the ambiance was just lovely!

I come just for the chaider! The staff are always having a blast together and create a great atmosphere. Its a great place for an afternoon pick me up or a long day of studying.

One of Google’s questions was: Is this place romantic? Well, if you get here early enough, the ambiance is fresh, quiet and relaxed which to me is very intimate for when I wanna get coffee alone, with The Book and enjoy my Saturday morning.The open space makes it feel very free when it’s not busy. There are plenty of opportunities for intimate conversations with their abundant 2 top tables but, this is also a place for camaraderie with friends.

The staff was so welcoming and genuine. I asked for recommendations and they gave me their favorites along with drinks they see ordered again and again. My latte was good but the almond croissant was DELICIOUS. I would e included a picture but I inhaled that thing. Would literally go back to this coffee shop just because of the croissant and good customer service.

The fifth watt, overshadowing the third, overshadowed by the sixth.barista made our drinks twice cuz apparently she made them wrong (they both tasted exactly the same)

The staff here are really helpful and are great listeners when you voice your needs. And this is a great place to read alone, have a one-on-one meeting or even take a big table for a game with friends. I love it.

LOVE this coffee shop. I come here on a weekly basis to do my homework. Being an online student its nice to have such a warm,welcoming and chill environment that I know I can be productive in. The employees are always so genuine and kind. I tried multiple coffee shops after moving to the Twin Cities and knew that Five Watt was going to be my regular stop after my first visit. I couldnt recommend it more. Bomb food, people and coffee.

The variety on the menu is amazing! You must try the brews on tap, various bitters flavors (perfect small gifts!), and open area! Free parking is a major bonus! Delicious food options & the fun staff keep me coming back over any shop in the area.

Tried a new coffee and it was quite good. Going to have to stop in a try a few more. Was really slow but I was in just after open. Has a decent selection of coffee and more drinks for evening hours. Recommended to stop in and try something.

Came here to catch up with an old friend. A great variety of coffees that can be served both hot and cold, fun atmosphere, and a great place to hold a conversation. Nice that it shares a building with an escape room and a brewery.

Awesome service, great atmosphere, and solid drink choices. Made-to-order food is an awesome option for longer stays, too. Would recommend the tacos! Only complaint is that its fairly regularly busy - sometimes every seat is taken .

First of all, I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE!! Everyone that works there is so nice and knows the menu very well. Not to mention they have all tons of COMFORT FOOD now - its like heaven sent. I seriously could go on all day about this place. Their baristas get to know you by name and actually care about how your day is! Ive had 5 minute conversations with them. I love to go here and get work done and meet up with my friends. Its an amazing place...... oh AND THEY HAVE BEER AND COCKTAILS!!!!!!

Friendly baristas and stand out coffee options. I had a smoky sea salt thing that was delicious: not too sweet. Its a nice change of pace from the sugary dessert drinks everywhere else! Regular brewed coffee is great as well. Decent seating options and lots of parking.

This place is great! I often have meetings in the space because it’s easy to park, the menu is awesome and the staff is super nice. Love the turmeric tea as well.

Disappointed with service at this location. I waited for 3 minutes to be helped but the person behind the bar did not acknowledge me despite seeing me and kept having non-business related conversation with a young Lady. I then left the shop. I do not recommend this coffee shop due too poor quality of service.Time: 6:30pm on August-8. I hope that the management will take more time to train the employees about basic costumer service. Now I understand why the coffeeshop is not as crowded as it can be.

Drinks here are fun and super delicious, and so is the food. The staff is very pleasant, and always provide a good laugh. It is on the pricey side though, which is the only reason I dont give it a full five stars.
