Great book store with a wide range of genres. Theres something there for everyone.

I love this book shop. It’s a great place to browse, study, and spend an afternoon. They have new, used, and antique books as well as a little coffee shop in the middle of the store. I’ll definitely be back.

Everyone interested in rare books, old books, vintage books, or just books in general should check out the gem that is Crab Apple Books. They even sell coffee there!The owner is an extremely nice and knowledgeable gentleman who is always willing to help you find whatever rare book you are looking for. If you cant find what youre looking for on the shelf he will kindly let you know that he has over 6,000 books in the basement of his store, so it might be down there. If not, hes always willing to email you if he comes across a copy!

Adorable shop where the owner runs the cash register. They are super helpful and sweet. Not only were we personally shown some books we were looking for, the owner told us he would get anything he was lacking. The prices are extremely reasonable and I was even given a free water. Thrilled to have found this mom and pop gem.

Whenever I need a book, a gift, or just want to kill some time, I don’t go to a big chain store, I make a trip to crab apple books. I value the small businesses in this area and crab apple books is by far my favorite of all. He almost always has what I’m looking for, and even if he doesn’t, he knows someone who does and gets it for me. The man is a wealth of knowledge and an overall joy to be around. His prices are great and he is obviously very competent in many areas. This bookstore is deserving of more than 5 stars for going above and beyond my expectations.

I stopped by Crab Apple Books because I wanted to speak to another human being and to ask about the area. I spoke to Brandon Soale and I must say that he was one of the nicest persons I have spoken to in a long while. He is very friendly, easy to speak to, and oh so full of helpfulness and advice.Im going to make it a habit to return here every week.

My new favorite used book store! We are fortunate to have this resource in our community. Ive been in the business of selling for years and Brandon was one of the most helpful people Ive ever experienced in a store environment. My family and I will be supporting this gem!

Fine books, great coffee, really fine people. An interesting and deep place to visit. Im always glad when I see his flag outside, hes open and I pay a visit. Also, Brandon, the owner, is very open minded and gifted when it comes to ordering something special for you. Crab Apple books is a must visit place in our new downtown Middletown area. Stop in and enjoy a fabulous cup of coffee and look around. Crab Apple Books is a lot deeper inside than you would know from the outside. Cmon in. Its really fine!

I had a really awkward interaction here. I read online it was the perfect place to get a cup of coffee and study, but there was only one person in the store, who completlley ignored me as I walked in, and there was no one serving coffee. The bookstore was cute, but there wasnt really any organization to it that I could see.
