Pinecrest Automotive Services is responding to the diagnostic charges of $94.70, the unidentified customer had his 2004 Kia Sorento towed in from Home Depot which is 2 blocks from Pinecrest Automotive Center due to the vehicle stalling. The customer advised me that, he had his scan tool and he came up with a code P0122 but he did not know what the problem was. I advised him that, I would take a look at the care and advised him of the findings. I came up with the same code P0122 for the throttle position sensor.I gave him the estimate of $303.76 to replace the throttle position sensor. The customer agreed to the repairs. I installed the new part and performed calibrations. Cleared code in the computer and restarted the car. The P0122 code returned immediately which means that it did not fix the problem. I advised the customer that something else is causing this condition. I also continued to advise him that I had to do some research on this condition. I performed an electrical test of the wiring to check for a short in the wiring, camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor, mass air flow sensor, clean the throttle body and found that the throttle body is stuck in the open position which is causing the short to the throttle position sensor.I advised the customer that he needs to replace the throttle body assembly and the throttle position sensor to correct this condition. I gave the customer an estimate of $1,163.65 for parts and labor to fix this condition.The customer told me that he could not afford the repair and if I could please put the car back together. I think the charge of $85.00 plus taxes is more than fair.

Misdiagnosed my sons car. I paid for repairs that did not fix the problem. Then he recommended more repairs at a very high price. i had that repair done for a much cheaper price and the same problem was still there. They also left brackets off and screws were loose. So after about $2,000 in repairs the car still ran the same terrible way. I finally crawled under it and fixed the problem myself for almost nothing in cost. They may be good for simple repairs but where good diagnostic skills are required, they are not very good at all.

Mike (owner) is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I had an oil change at the dealership and they gave me a list of $800 worth of repairs I was skeptical of. Mike took a look at my car, said it was in great shape and didn’t need any of the work done, and didn’t charge me anything for the assessment! In the waiting room I met a woman who’s been bringing her cars to Mike since he opened and has always had positive experiences. I’ve found my South Florida mechanic!!

I didnt have to wait and the mechanic really checks your vehicle to make sure everything is taken care of. Their prices are very reasonable and they really do an awesome job. We have been taking our cars there for years. The owner, Mike is always very pleasant and professional with excellent service and repairs done on time. Somehow he remembers us and our cars and their issues, even from years ago. Occasionally they have to order parts and they still get the work done same day or at most next day if the part takes longer to come in. You wont be disappointed!!

Very good experience! This my first time to be here to take care my Mazda 3. There is no big problem with it, but me and my husband can feel clearly that it needs to be take care, Im so lucky, I find here, the office lady is very nice, and the owner Michael is very nice and professional, thanks for his team, the other mechanics are technical too. I took my vehicle here for an inspection found out the throttle Position sensor was shorted. To fix this they wanted to charge me 1,1636.50 which is crazy! For looking at my vehicle i was charged 94.70 just for looking.

Being a woman I went to another mechanic which recommended 1200 worth of repairs, I drove straight to Pinecrest Automotive where Mr. Michael promptly looked at what they had recommended and told me the repairs where not needed.
