Called in ahead to see if they would accept a transaction (Jcp credit card information over the phone) , we do this every time we go to JCP so my fiancé’s mom gets points. Doreen said yes they still do that. When we got there, Sharon argued with Doreen and retrieved the supervisor/manager Anthony. Doreen was more than happy to proceed with the transaction but Sharon was extremely adamant about fetching the manager. They then told us they would not be able to do the transaction and recommended we apply for a JCP credit card right away. Sharon said it wasn’t true that we purchased things before using that method and I almost wanted to show her proof of the suit we purchased this way two weeks ago. Honestly just two 22 year olds trying to make it in this world, buying nice clothes for the first time to start a new job Monday. Thank you Sharon and Anthony, we’re still getting nice clothes you just wasted our time and sent business to Dillards. I hope it made your day.

Staff and checkout process was fine. Not great, but fine. Shoppers be advised that JCPenney no longer accepts coupons for clearance items. I was unaware of this policy change when I visited. I will no longer be shopping at JCPenney.

We went in looking for a pair of Levis. All the Levi jeans were on sale, 30% off, great deal. The only thing is that they had limited Men sizes. I realized that they also had alot of men clothes at the entrance of the store which is rare. I guess Pennys is catering to the Men now, lol

My husband and son are super tall, we go here for all their shopping needs. My fav department is their Levi section. We shop here for my 8 yr old as well and there are always deals on clothes and shoes. The staff is always friendly and of you look at their name tags, most of them have been there for 5+ years. Seems they love their jobs.

Not quite like i remember before Covid, but all has some good sales on products. Although the mens changing rooms were well used, meaning someone should clean the place up, not dirty as in trash but walks beaten up, locks are a challenge to lock, good thing it was not busy and the door could still close, the staff I interacted with were nice and helpful.

The store was great super friendly all the staff I interacted with was super friendly..... Best part got to get me an Orange Julius havent had one of those in about 25 years...

Very large store and inventory without enough staff. Appears to have better selection of clothing sizes than other stores have.The salon is beautiful.

Went in looking for a dress and ended up buying 3. They had a nice selection. Then walked through the store and ended up buying my husband a beautiful shirt!!

I havent shopped JCPenny in years but I recently bought shows online. 2 pairs didnt fit. The return process in store was painless and quick then we ended up finding a pair of shoes that fit plus some clothing for multiple family members. Staff was helpful and friendly but never a pest. Exactly the shopping experience I want.

Lady was cheerful until I told her I didnt want to sign up for a credit card then was pretty much in interested the rest of the interaction

The store itself is fine and the staff is friendly. But the merchandise is sorted super inconveniently. Instead of sorting by types of clothing, its sorted by brands. So if youre looking for a polo shirt, you might need to check 4 or 5 sections to see what options you have. And those sections are randomly spread through the store. Its obnoxious.

Seemed kind of bare and had a Kmart vibe in some of the areas.

I think the customer service is awesome very friendly , the prices in selections are great.

I havent been there in years. I went to get a few outfits for my grandson who just returned to school, for his 8th birthday, to go with his Nikes and toys. I walked right in to his department, quickly saw what I needed, walked up to checkout, was offered to apply for a credit card for 35% immediate savings, she asked me a few questions and I was approved, I then payed it off, lol. Was out in just over 10 minutes♡♡♡

We searched all over the valley trying to find clothes for our 7 year old without luck.....that is until we got here. Their selections is a wide variety and in every selection they had every size one might need. To top it off we happened to go on a sales weekend and saved over $650. This was the best choice we could have made and we will be starting here next time we go shopping for clothes. Store was clean and well stocked. We had one semi Negative experience, as a father trying to help my wife and Daughter to the dressing room we had an overly agressive associate come a bit unglued because i was carrying clothes(an arm full) into the dressing room. In her defense we didnt see it said girls dressing room, but for single dads or someone whose wife needed to work, this would have presented a problem. Talk about feeling like scum for trying to be a good father.........other than this one little hiccup it was a good experience and we found what we needed for everyone in our family.

Better stocked department store in my humble opinion.

This store is my favorite, but in the last year theyve been so lazy. The racks and endcaps look messy. They have very little people in the departments, and its hard to walk around. The racks are jammed close to each other. So sad. The lady in the lingerie dept, Shelley, really goes out of her way to help me. Shes always nice when my mom and I come and helps us all the time, no matter what the need. I really wish it was a neater store, and had more great people like her. Customer service and cleanliness really mean a lot to me. It makes me want to come back.

I am extremely disappointed with this store. I bought my girlfriend a nice bracelet and matching necklace as a Christmas gift from the store in Tempe. On opening her gift, she saw that the necklace was broken. We returned it with the hope we could replace it. However, there was only a replacement at the store in Superstition Springs Mall. Thus, we made our way there.However, on arrival, we were presented with the necklace - which was also broken!The assistants there were extremely unhelpful, showing no compassion, no apologies and no interest in helping us in any way other than crediting the costs back to my card!We have now found a beautiful piece of jewelry from Macy’s, who were extremely helpful.We have been customers of JC Penney for many years, probably spending $$$$$ thousands throughout 2020 alone. However, I have now withdrawn my custom and will no longer use this company.

Great service at reasonable prices

The selection of items I was shopping for was excellent. The sale prices were too hard to pass up I ended up buying more then I went for. The store is very clean the few employees I had contact with were very friendly, courteous and helpful. I will definitely be doing more shopping here long after Christmas is over.

Has great back to school sales! Pair them with your reward points and the savings are amazing. $14 Fortnite backpack! Other than the unattended kid throwing items at me from the second floor (which the staff swiftly addressed)- I always enjoy shopping here. Shop online pickup in-store is also fast and easy!

I had a curbside pick up order. I called when I was close by, so they could have my order to bring out. I was told to call back when I arrived. When I did, the line was busy, or would ring & hang up. I waited 20mins, trying to reach someone. I finally had to go into the store. Once I found the curbside counter, (no signs) there were 2 people there. One was a young lady. She was very helpful & kind. The other older lady had the phone in her pocket & never spoke to me. I was so upset, as Im high risk & never should have entered that store. The lady with the phone was the one who told me to call when I arrived. I believe she had the phone opened, so it would ring busy. I will never shop here again. This occurred on Tuesday, Dec. 1st 2020, at 1pm SMT. Superstition Springs Mall, AZ

I was lied to about my window coverings order and was told 2 weeks. That was Oct 3. Now I wont be getting my order until December maybe. You cannot get a hold of this stinking store ever. Im glad they are in bankruptcy! I will never shop here again and it used to be my favorite store. The managers here are.totally inept!

Some deals to be found and some not so good. We bought some things but the waiting line took 10 minutes. Check outside on the otherside of the store were empty. They need to put people where there are lines. Only one person at the pay station. No other help was seen while we were standing in line.

The store never has enough checkout staff. You also can never find floor personnel to help. I would not recommend this store especially on weekends. You would think as the Christmas season approaches the store would have more personnel but that does not appear to be the case.

Final clearance sale in the ladies clothes department some good deals

JCP at Superstition Springs:I was attempting to return a couple of items and it took FOREVER to find my order because I didnt have my receipt. I had used my JCP card so I assumed it would be an easy return with or without receipt. Boy was I wrong. Since I had ordered in online, I also thought it would be an easy return. The one person who was handling returns for the day (she needed help) used 2 different devices to try and pull up my items. The line was growing...and I could tell she was struggling so I decided to eat the $11.48 for the ballet shoes I had purchased.When I got to my vehicle, I was able to easily find both items that I was attempting to return but waiting in the line was not worth the hassle. I am canceling my card as there are no benefits for me to continue to have the card, OR to shop at JCP anymore.Lesson learned:Keep all receipts!
