I have always valued a good relationship with a local shop to assist me with my cars. German Motors is my Go To for my GTI. I am from Canada and purchased a Volkswagen EOS three years ago. The car needed work and so I brought it to German Motors. They proceeded to repair the car a little at a time as l was working with a budget. They completed everything this past February and my wife and and I drove it to Canada. Not only did it perform 100% on our way home but because it is from out of country we had to have an inspection done here. The shop here was impressed with the work done by German Motors. Legit service and knowledge. Dave went over my VW 2017.5s AC sketchiness and we figured it out at a very reasonable price. Im a fan and the high 4+rating is warranted. The guys here are always nice and they have very fair pricing. My cousin used them for her bug and I have had them work on my Jetta. Extremely satisfied with them. Next time my daughters Jetta needs work we will definitely be using them for her car as well.

This shop is awesome. Everyone I talked to had great customer service. This is the second time I have used them to do work on my VW EOS. After fixing my oil leaks and about a week later, I developed a really bad oil leak. Without hesitation, they told me to drop it off so they could see whats wrong, regardless of how busy they said they were. Turns out it was a defective part that was replaced and I had it back the same day. They do solid work and stand behind it.

Really did a good job fixing my Jetta!

So glad to have a VW specialist that knows the quirks of my 2008 GTI. Was using a prominent regional chain that did a bunch of unnecessary work without a good result - learned my lesson. German Motors correctly diagnosed the issues and fixed it first time for reasonable charge. Great communication, service and expertise. Completely recommend for servicing older VW models.

Knowledgeable and helpfull

I couldn’t locate a vacuum leak on my car and I finally caved and started calling around. I spoke with Nathan and made an appointment. He had my car repaired so fast AND saving me an incredible amount of money!! The dealership even without looking at it was saying over $3k and the actual cost was less than $180.00! They have a customer for life and I highly recommend them!

I like this small business shop. From the sort of thrifty look outside, you know they wont charge you a slew of money. Nathan greeted me and checked my car and changed the oil for me. You dont have to go through a lot of personel back and forth as you would in dealership. While checking my brake, he found a leak with my engine vacuum pump which is quite unobvious to me. I was able to watch him working on the car and for the 1st time after owning my beetles 10 years that I know from where the engine oil flows out. Quite interesting to watch. The only thing I dont like is that they only open on weekdays which I couldn t find much time to come out from my job for bigger repairs. But I definitely will be back for tough hard jobs.

Took my car in to fix a transmission leak and they were amazing! They actually listen, took my car in when they said and gave me a REASONABLE price! On top of it they heard a noise and a clip was rubbing my timing belt which would have blown my engine without me ever knowing why Im truly thankful for their service! I couldnt thank him enough! If you have a Volkswagen I would recommend this shop dont waste your money somewhere else. German motors will take care of you so much better!

I recently moved to Mesa and always had family to work on my Jetta. This place made it nice to have strangers work on my car. They allowed me to do the repairs needed in stages, which was great. They fixed little things that they noticed without cost, many things others would just ignore. All of the mechanics are friendly and have a sense of humor ( the ones I met). I recommend them for they have taken care of my 18 yr. Old Jetta.

Best shop around. Have had my 2003 Jetta in multiple times and every time they have never had it more than a few hours. They are honest and will always let you know these are the things you should probably fix now and these things can wait. They have never pushed me to fix something I couldnt afford. Awesome guys. Taking my car in again tomorrow for some more work!

Berge Volkswagen told me I need to replace my vacuum pump $1200, for an oil leak. German Motors looks at it and tells me I need a new washer on the drain bolt on my oil pan. $5. I love them for being honest. I will be back... This was 1 year ago. Still no leak.

Without actually going there, I have to respond to those who simply dismiss them because of their uninformed criticism that an Audi is a VW and they will not service it. I now own two Audi A4s and several early VW cars. They are NOT the same.Yes, they have the same parent company, but there are numerous systems and chassis differences that suggest to me that they are being really honest in suggesting that they are able to handle those differences.If you want Audi service on the cheap...go to Affordable German; and stop downgrading these guys solely on you phone contact..

Our VW Rialta camper had an oil leak. Dave was got us in right away, diagnosed a failing oil pressure sender and a couple of leaky hose seals. He was able to fix it right away, and also provided the transmission service we needed. He even provided a loaner car at no charge! Highly recommend this shop for any VW owner.

I bring my GTI here for service as they do excellent work and are considerably cheaper than what the VW dealer charges for labor. The team is always very helpful, friendly, and quick.

Dave was kind enough to respond to questions via email. He proved to be more competent over email than the dealer tech was looking at my car on a lift in person!

First of all I would like to Thank Dave and Nathan for my engine replacement on my 2010 VW Tiguan. I had purchased from a dealer Nov. 2014 we had only put about 3200 miles on it in 20 months.Luckily I purchased a extended warranty for 24k or 24 months. they worked with warranty company with extreme professionalism, found out why engine failed, got approval, ordered new engine installed same as soon as they recieved it. 2 to 3 days, runs fantastically. These guys are 5 star mechanics running their 5 star business. BEST in the valley. Im a veteran. I recommend these guys 100%. Taken my 08 rabbit here several times. these guys are always polite..fast and budget friendly. had my AC compressor replaced last year and the AC started intermittently blowing cold a few months after. I brought the car back and they said it was low on freon and recharged it at no cost. Well it worked fine till the weather cooled down and we didnt need it. This summer roles around and the AC barely works so i drop it the car off friday morning expecting a call and quote later. Instead I get a call saying the compressor is bad again but THEY WILL CHANGE IT AT NO COST even though the warranty is up! They had the car down 4 hrs later. Exactly what I would have done if I own a shop...900 dolllar repairs should last more than a year and they seem to understand that. I highly recommend them.

Best VW service in the east, I am a customer of another shop that was stranded out east. Nate could have taken me to the cleaners... I left spending under $100 dollars. Every minute of the diagnosis Nate was very thorough, did not leave out any detail, and surely I left with a smile. It doesnt get better then this when it comes to service. Even had the pleasure of meeting his mom, she was there to supervise!! j/k Thank you Nate, Thank you German Motors of Mesa, and thank you lord that my GTI VR6 lives to see another car in the rear view!

I just called this morning because I purchased a 2004 Audi A4 with the 1.8t motor and that was all I got out of my mouth before I was cut off by him saying we dont work on Audi only Volkswagen. I assumed he was joking because they are practically the same thing. That is like saying you only work on Chevy and not Cadillac. They have the same motor and the same make moron. Anybody that dumb isnt going to touch my car and shouldnt touch yours.

My Sportwagen A/C was getting weak. I took to the local VW Stealership and almost choked on their price quote. I called a few indy places including Nathan at German Motors. He answered all my questions, had a price one-half that of the Stealership with the same components, could do it the next morning, had a loaner car for me, promised to be done by 3:00 and called me at 2:00 when it was done. It was a frigid drive home. Was it worth the 1 hour drive to Mesa? Yes and I will do it again.

These guys have always been able to get to the bottom of any problem with my VW and theyve always done a top job for a reasonable price. Ive never had to bring anything back as it wasnt done right.Theyve pointed out other things that are broken and given me suggestions on how to repair it myself. Theyve even diagnosed problems over the phone that another shop was struggling to resolve (I feel bad I didnt take it to them for this but it happened out of town). Its nice to find an honest shop that really knows everything about Volkswagens, which parts are more likely to fail causing the problem and exactly the right tools to use. If you have a VW or Audi I recommend taking ti to these guys.Note: They usually get jobs done much earlier than they tell you to expect it finished. They may claim theyll need your car for a day but then they usually call at 10AM saying its all done. They dont have much of a waiting area but it can be more convenient to wait than to make other arrangements.
