After a recent brake emergency on a work vehicle, I went to this brakemaster location because it was conveniently located. When I returned to pick up my vehicle I was confronted with a salesperson that handed me a bill with an additional $2,600 of suggested repairs for my vehicle. As I said no to each suggestion, I can see him getting angrier and angrier. Finally I was allowed to pay for the brake repair which they did complete. Suspiciously however, the very next day after having parked my truck the rest of that day, my truck overheated. When I take it to a different shop, they showed me where there was a small puncture hole in the lower part of my radiator which had caused the overheating. Is it a coincidence? Im not sure. I am currently in the process of contacting corporate headquarters to have them pull camera images to see if in fact my vehicle was sabotaged because I refused to pay for additional repairs. In the interim, I would strongly suggest that anyone thinking about visiting this location rethink their options. I am almost positive my vehicle was damaged on purpose in retaliation.

Made an on-line appointment for 10:30 a.m. This facility has no understanding of what an appointment means. You go to the bottom of the pile and just over 2 hours later my vehicle was ready to go. A 15 minute job took them just over 2 hours. Dont waste your valuable time.

I made an appt here for an oil change due to the fact they had a coupon for $25, I have a old corolla and never pay too much for an oil change. They ended up charging me $71. I dont appreciate businesses who do bait and switch especially for something as simple as an oil change. The oil change was great but not for $71. I will take my business elsewhere!

Made an appointment two days prior and when I went to the appointment,they told me that they do not have me down for my appointment. They made me feel like I was lying.i will not go back

I brought my car in to get new brakes, and inform them that I have to have the car back by a certain time as I have an appointment that I cannot miss later in the day. They perform the maintenance requested, and then add on other services, and I do not get my car back in time, causing me to be late for my appointment. In addition, the person that provided me shuttle services ridiculed me for wearing a mask, and specifically took slow routes to the store, and admitted to me that they did that on purpose.Lastly, even though all the services were done, though not in a timely manner, my car now squeaks when turning to the right, which it never did before, and has not been fixed, even though I have brought it in for warranty repair and to have them try to fix the issue. They looked at it, said they fixed the issue, yet they did not.

I changed the front brakes on my daughter car (Mary Cartwright) in early May 2021. When I pulled wheel on the rear I found drum brakes. I asked my daughter to take it to a brake shop because I didnt want to change drum Brakes.She saw an ad on the internet for $148 from Brake Masters #184 in Mesa near her home. I suggested taking the car there. She did and left it for an estimate which came back at close to $1000. I understand that prices can go up based on the mechanics estimate but I told her to pick up the car and bring it here and I would do it. The car was working fine after installing the front brakes with solid brake feel. I work when she took it to Brake Masters #184. She sent her husband to pick up the car.Her husband went to pick up the car and was told it was unsafe. He called my daughter and she said it was fine when she took it in and to pick it up and bring it home and she would take it to me.Her husband told the shop he would take it home and they said it wasnt safe to drive. He said it worked before and he wanted to get it home. The said they would have to put it back together and he could take it. They didnt say what they had done. They had taken the wheel and hub off and removed all brake components including all springs and fasteners and then put the hub on and then the wheel. It looked ok but the first time the brake was pressed the wheel cylinder blew and leaving the car with no hydraulics. Its a wonder he didnt wreck and kill himself or some other person. H got it home but I don’t know how.I had the car towed to me to see what could have gone wrong. Boy was I shocked when I pulled the wheel and drum and saw absolutely nothing but the wheel cylinder and piston rolling around the hub. I had a certified mechanic look at it and he said he had never seen anything like it before. He said they probably took all the brake parts out to insure that they could get the inflated business.It is a fraud and they are probably sticking it to other customers. By the way, they also said it needed front brakes and a power booster. When told they were just done a week ago they went back and looked and adjusted the estimate.Their response:That we were told it was unsafe but gave no reason. I explained that the driver or someone could have been killed but they said he should have had it towed. If we knew that there was no brakes in the car, I would have agreed had it towed and asked for the parts back so I could have reused the springs if they were still goodBrake Masters #184 tried to scam us and take advantage of my daughter and were reckless and may have been criminally libel for letting the car be driven off without brakes.

Brake Masters knocked out my rear brake repair on my trusty T100 quickly & at a great price — especially considering I had to replace the cylinders, too! I thought I had a problem with a brake leak a few weeks later which turned out to be a blown rear axle seal. Their repair price for that was super reasonable. These guys have been great!

Dropped car off at 930 for brakes and at the end of the business day they still didn’t fix my car.

Took my new 2500 GMC truck in to get new breaks on the front end. (should have taken it to the dealership but I didnt have time so I brought it here. ) long story short an 4 visits later with 1,220 bill, it was the worst service I have ever had. went from a break change to rebuilding the front end break system. I just had worn break pads. they put my breaks back together without lubrication on the bolts and the calipers locked shut and destroyed my rotors and burned up my calipers. stay away from these people. the ratings are fake.

Went to get radiator flushed and found radiator was leaking, they got me in right away to get it fixed. They had someone drive me home. So far everyone there has been friendly and helpful. Yes it is expensive but they tried to get me the best price they could. So far anytime I have gone to Brake Masters (2 different locations) they have been awesome.

Have taken many vehicles here over the years, always a great experience. Staff is professional and responsive and has always made me feel like I knew what was happening with my vehicle and getting a reasonable price for service provided. After getting quoted for alignment at several places this place had the best price and has always been 100% on my vehicles, wont go elsewhere for that.

This is my go to for everything I can get done to my vehicle here. The work they do in this shop is excellent and they get it done pretty quick too. They have good prices and help you sign up for a line of credit to finance parts and labor if you have unexpected repairs come up when you hadnt planned for it financially or just cant afford the full cost at the time. They helped me and got me the line of credit I needed and saved my job by making sure I had reliable transportation. Nothing but good things to say about this shop. I needed emergency work done on my brakes and they were great at getting me in quick and getting the job done quickly. The man helping me said that there was something else wrong with my car that needed to be fixed but not right away. He said that I needed to get it fixed as soon as I could but that I could still drive it for now. That was 2 years ago and nothing is wrong with my car. I took it to multiple other mechanics and they all confirmed that nothing is wrong with my car. Still 4 stars for great service.

After reading other reviews, I can only hope they put the correct oil in there. When I parked in my garage I noticed a lot of smoke. They forgot to replace the oil cap. So now Im almost 100 miles away with no cap and oil splashed all over my engine compartment. I knew that things might be a bit busy the day after a holiday, but so busy that you cant do the easiest part of the job after more than 2 hours? This level of incompetence to be so negligent is so incomprehensible. I shouldnt have to double check the work of a professional workplace, but now Im paranoid that Ill have to anywhere I go thanks to this terrible place.

I came here for an alignment, and it was done in an hour.I then took my car here a week later because of a noise i was hearing coming from one of my wheels, and they diagnosed a bad wheel bearing and quoted me on the spot. They even gave me a ride back to my place instead of making me wait a few hours while they get the job done. Impressed with the customer service and honesty at this shop.

Went to Brake Masters because my daughter went there a couple months ago to get brake/wheel bearing service for her vehicle, and she was treated great and had excellent service for a reasonable price. So, I went there today for a front end alignment and wasnt disappointed with awesome service! David is great to work with and his techs do an awesome job and the waiting area was clean, cool, and comfortable. I really appreciate having an automotive repair shop and mechanics that I can trust to work on my car. I recently moved to Mesa from Northern AZ so this was definitely a refreshing big city experience for a small town country chic!

Great price, service, in and out in a 1/2 hour. Got a 4 wheel alignment for half the price of another shop I had an appointment with later that day. Rick was very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this shop for the service I received and that of the other customers who seemed very happy and well cared for in a very clean waiting area.

Was good for the first 3 years before new management. But after that, Wasted a lot of money at this shop. Constantly had to go back for corrective repairs for significant mistakes that were made due to rushing poor leadership and low quality workmanship. This shop has really gone down hill. They’ve lost a long time loyal customer. I Don’t even trust them to change my oil.

Should have looked at the reviews before I came. I have gone to brake masters for many years and thought there would be no issues. I called before I came and was told they could get my car in within 15 minutes. All i need is an oil change by the way. Once I arrived I was told again by Rick at the front desk that he would get it in in 15 minutes. I sat down and waited. 30 minutes later it still was not in. I went to the counter to cancel the oil change and get my key. Suddenly my business became important and they pulled a car out of a bay and got me in. A company SHOULD NOT give a time estimate if they are unable to stand by it. My time is valuable but I certainly feel that brake masters does not agree. Not a customer friendly place!

Used them twice for service, great service. Second visit was for leak, they fixed hose connection and cleaned up leaked fluid, charged nothing. Trust them to be straight forward and honest. Speed was great too.

Had an appointment set for 3pm and my car finally got in at 4:15 then 30 minutes later they finally gave me an estimate just to let me know it will be another hour. Slowest service EVER. I will never be back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve brought my 99 Acura here for regular oil changes and other work. I have always been pleased with their work. They let me know what’s wrong and their prices have been fair. They always have the work done when they say.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!! These people screwed us, they were not willing to take credit because the only surveillance cameras are in the front office so they didn’t have a way to see exactly what happened. Well, when we took it in we had a running vehicle- now it’s been in a different (more trustworthy) shop for months costing us thousands in damages they caused because of ignorance

Came in today with awful brakes because I kept putting it off. Made an appointment online and the team gave me a quote over the phone. They even included the coupon without me having to ask. When I came to pick up my vehicle, the assistant manager Louie helped right away and explained exactly what went wrong and what Im paying for. Theyre very professional but still try to get to know their customer and make jokes. They got everything done within a couple hours. Thank you guys so much for all your help!!(:

They were kinda high. I went to Ford and they beat their price.

I would not recommend this place to anyone who doesnt know how to work in their own vehicle. All I wanted was an oil change, I specifically said I only wanted an oil change and not the extra stuff but they said they had to do it. They did not put the cap back on the coolant overflow so coolant splashed all over the engine. They did not put the cover back on the cabin air filter correctly and they did not put all the pieces of the glove box back in their correct place. I had to put my car back together from stuff that I had asked them not to touch. In addition the oil change took over an hour. The headache of having to double check everything wasnt worth paying the cheaper price for the oil change.

I went in with a competitor coupon for oil change, they were happy to honor it. David went above and beyond to work with me to ensure I was satisfied with the work done and the price. They will definitely get my future business!

I love this store and the professionals that work there in the AZ heat all day, every day. I am a single mom with very little money for car repairs but my car doesnt understand that. Thank God these gentleman do. They have far exceeded my expectations. They were fast, friendly, didnt gouge me and try to sell me things I didnt need and communicated with me like I had some intelligence, unlike most other shops I have tried in the past. I took my car in to get an oil change. They asked me what kind of oil it takes. I havent owned the car that long so I had no idea what kind of oil it takes. I told them 5W20 maybe then they asked 5W30? I said sure, whatever. However while waiting for them to service my car I looked it up on the Internet and it requires 10W30. When I got home I wanted to make sure that was right and sure enough right on the cap it said 10W30. They straight up put 5W30 into my car without realizing it takes 10W30. They should have realized that on the oil cap it said it takes 10W30 and maybe informed me that your car takes 10W30 and not 5W30 or 5W20. Now I am taking my car elsewhere to get it done right. I will make sure to refer people to not go here because that mistake to me shows that they are unprofessional

Went in for an oil change had an appointment, they went to back my car out of the bay and I noticed it was leaking oil & I told them. They put it back on the lift and said they had a bad oil filter and they fixed it. Next morning I went to take my kid to school and had a puddle and oil trail leaving my parking spot. Took it back to them and showed them pictures and they said they fixed it but I constantly have an oil leak now and have to regularly check my oil and it’s a newer 2016 car. Will definitely not be going back to them or referring friends or family here.

I came here based on the reviews to have an alignment inspection and my brakes inspected. After a 2 hour wait they call me and say I have big problems. When I get there they tell I have an intake leak and it needs to be done asap. So then I ask them what about my alignment and they say they arent worried about that... so does that mean that my alignment is fine or not, well come to find out they didnt even check it out. I had already known about the intake leak and I didnt what them to look at anything other than my brakes or alignment. They managed to look at everything but those 2 things. Worse service ever and will definitely NOT COME HERE AGAIN.

I live next to a bunch of other shops but when I decide take my cars in instead of work on them myself, this is my go to. Great customer service and solid dependable work.
