Very welcoming and accommodating staff. I walked in with my grandfather near closing-time and only after a few minutes we were being helped and was shown the selection of recurve bows. We left with some hard to find vanes and spoke about next time allowing for more time to wander the store. I would recommend to any sportsmen.

I loved my experience here. I was a complete rookie and they helped me calibrate my bow, fix my posture and gave tons of great tips. Really cool guys. I worked with Preston and Ethan. They were great. Highly recommend them to everyone.

I went in to look at a bow. With all the Covid backlog I was fortunate they had a Mathews V3 in stock and in left hand. I worked with Ethan who was very polite and seemed professional. That night I took my bow home to set up the sight and other accessories. I quickly saw that there was a problem with the sight housing threads. I took the bow back the next morning and Ethan threaded a 10-32 bolt into the 10-24 sight housing. This stripped out the threads on the riser. JR then got involved and called Mathews. Mathews expedited the shop a new bow.I got a call from Ethan several day later saying the bow was ready to pick up. I asked if they had set the center shot and D-loop. He told me they had. When I got there the rest was set up and tightened. Since I shoot a drop away arrow rest, I took him at his word since I couldnt check it there.I got home and served in my peep, set up 2nd and 3rd axis on my sight and then shot an arrow at the target. As I released the arrow, the FOB and knock shot off my arrow. I found a nice impact in the upper housing of my rest.I was dumb and took this pro shop at their word, again. I raised up the limb driven rest and saw that the d-loop and rest were not even close to being level. It was high by an inch. See photo.I would have thought they would have taken extra care in setting up my bow since they had already catastrophically messed it up. I cant recommend Timber Mesa. Bass Pro and Sportsmans have guys who will do a much better job setting up your bow than Timber Mesa.

Best archery shop in az. These guys are knowledgeable, friendly, and work their tails off. Had catastrophic failure on my old bow the day before archery deer season, and they were able to get me into a new bow in my budget in one day. The bow shoots like a laser beam, and would highly recommend them to anyone

I walked in with obviously old knowledge about bow hunting and bow technology. I half expected to be talked down to having not shot in approximately 10 years.The experience I had was far from that. I walked out with the purchase of a Mathews V3 and all new equipment. I couldnt be happier with the purchase so far and look forward to getting the bow in my hands after setup!I will be returning for any of my archery needs.I want to give a thank you to the staff for helping me learn whats changed and meeting me where I am in this journey.

I came into the store with a new bow that I had bought from a friend. I have shot but not much and not for quite a few years, so given that fact I was a little nervous getting started again. Ethan was there and took such great care of me! He has an amazing personality and is very knowledgeable about archery and the products that go along with it. He is very kind and so helpful... made my first experience so incredible...I cannot even imagine going anywhere else! Went in to Timber Mesa at the recommendation of a friend to purchase my first bow but ended up going with another shop in the valley. Didnt have a terrible experience shopping there but definitely didnt have a good one either. The gentleman who helped me was nice enough, but didnt seem confident that he knew what he was doing when he did the initial setup on the test bow. More important in my decision to go elsewhere was the fact that they wanted me to wait well over a week to set up my new bow. Lets face it, nobody wants to spend a thousand bucks and have to wait that long to get their product. After shopping around I realized most shops have a 24-48 hour turnaround time. I ended up going with a shop that had my new bow in my hands 1 day after I purchased.

I landed at Timber Mesa for my first visit with them after two repeat disappointing experiences at another local shop regarding bow tuning. I actually drove directly over from the other shop to Timber Mesa after clearly understanding that my personal end result was not of importance elsewhere.The difference at Timber Mesa in knowledge exhibited and level of care was remarkable after just 10 minutes of talking with Junior and the staff about my setup. Lucas and Junior make Timber Mesa the best archery shop in Arizona. I recently purchased a new carbon Hoyt RX-4 and everything else I needed for it from them. They were extremely helpful and took their time to answer all of my annoying questions. They even ordered a few items they dont normally carry for me so I didnt have to go to multiple places. This is the only place Ill go for anything bow related.

I was getting great service with my older Mathew’s with no pressure to get anything new. When I drew my archery elk tag I knew it was time to get into a new rig. I got to try out the top Bows on my list to see what felt good for me. I decided on Hoyt Axius ultra, I am loving it. They helped me set it up with equipment and I am definitely shooting more confident than ever before.

I had gone to a previous shop in Az where I had an unpleasant experience that later had cost me more money in the long run. Later reached out to Timber Mesa to help me correct those issues and they have been nothing but excellent. Junior and Joel really know their stuff and very personable. I have had nothing but great experiences every single time I have gone in there. I have recommended them to all of my other friends that are into Archery. Highly recommend to anyone else!

My husband & I just had lessons for the first time today. The staff was very helpful. I coached competitive gymnastics for 10 years so I know a little about coaching...Our instructor took the time to explain everything and really finesse the right form for us to shoot the bow. I had heard good things about this shop so I went in to check out the 2019 bow lineup. After Junior showed me the entire lineup and let me test fire everything I ended up purchasing a bow. With the bow came a raffle for Black Friday and I ended up winning another very nice bow. Everyone in the shop was very helpful and knowledgeable. I am very thankful for the help and the free bow. The shop is very clean and the range is very nice. I would definitely look them up for any archery needs you may have.

Went to purchase a 2019 model bow, was told it should be in store in 4 weeks. I received no updates, I called to get information at the 6 week mark. Found out that the bow I ordered was no longer made so i put in an order for a 2020 model bow. I was told it would should be in the store in 2 weeks. I received no updates and I called at the 3 week mark. The bow finally came in the following week. I waited about 9-10 weeks for a bow. Went to get my bow tuned after breaking it in and the only thing that was checked was cam timing. Rest timing and paper tuning was not done which is included with bow purchase. Any time I came into the shop I felt like an inconvenience and I no efforts were made to make up the lousy service that was provided to me. The older gentleman, Jr., I believe was who I conducted business with, I didnt get friendly customer service from him ever. The other employees seem much happier and willing to give great customer service.

I had been considering buying a bow for my wife for the last few weeks, we discussed it when I brought my bear in for a tune and he advised me to think about it over the weekend, which blew me away as it is the opposite of high-pressure sales. When my Bear was ready for pickup, I brought my wife in and she left with a new bow. Love this place.

This store is great! They offer a lot of support to all levels of archery interest, from beginner to pro. I have received nothing but great customer service every time I have gone in. Everyone is very helpful and friendly, and unlike most shops in the valley, they take time to explain and answer any questions you might have. I spent about an hour working with one employee who ended up only charging me $7 for a new peep sight even though we had worked on several other parts of my bow. I brought in a sight purchased online and they helped me get it mounted and my first pin dialed in. I also noticed that the other employees were working well with all the other customers that cane and went while I was there. Honest good people at this shop, I will be a long time customer.

Brian and Junior are awesome! They both take time to hear my concerns, and then work to help fine tune and improve my form, mechanics, and equipment. Bought a bow for what I thought was a good deal online and took it in here to have it set up. Junior and Tyler helped pick out all my accessories and get the bow all set up. They were very helpful and easy to talk too. They also had the same bow I bought online for a little bit more money but with all the services they include with buying a new bow it would have been cheaper to buy from them so this is where Ill be buying my bows from now on.They also had a nice selection of bows, more than other stores Ive been to.

I have bounced around to multiple archery shops in the past. I dont anymore. I have never had anything but great experiences here. I cant say the same about other shops. The Timber Mesa staff ALWAYS goes out of their way to take care of us and provide exceptional service. They have always placed service over a sale, even if it meant talking me out of buying something. I have gotten to know Junior over my many visits. He is my first go to for any archery help. I basically went to the counter and said I have never owned a bow before, I know absolutely nothing about them, but I want to get into it and start hunting. These guys are great! Being new to compound bows I went in not knowing what to expect but I was greeted quickly by Greg. He than showing me different options and ways to set them up in my price range. I was even shown a used bow( they dont sell used boys but one was in for inspection to be sold) that would have kept the initial cost for me down. I watched their Tech Andrew work and hes fast and knows what hes doing. They were all very friendly and knowledgeable, If I need any work done or accessories to buy this will be my first stop. They even have an indoor range that I have a feeling I will be going to a lot. Dont hesitate to give these guys a try you wont be disappointed!

These guys are awesome, I have used them for new strings and general advice and got nothing but help. Came in a day before my hunt and needed a new set of arrows built. I go to this shop frequently to shoot and have a good time and every time I go I always get awesome service, the guys in the shop always have answers to anything I have to ask. I recently purchased a new bow from there and junior helped me with different comparisons and which bow would be the best for me. The atmosphere in the shop is always positive and I love going there!

My husband and I did there Groupon archery class. It was really a lot of fun. The guy that works there gives you a bow and some arrows to use, he runs you through some rules and answers any questions, and then they let you shoot in their indoor range for an hour. It was a lot of fun. Probably going to order a bow from them even. Great prices too. Will definitely go back.

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff, very patient with new archers of all ages! Definitely recommend them for new archers and experienced archers. They have a wide range of bows of different types from different manufacturers. They have a 25$ beginner archery class every Monday afternoon 5:30pm as well if your new to archery and need some guidance. 5 stars without question went to a couple of bow shops and they helped me more than any other I had gone to.

I highly recommend! I dont know very much about archery and wanted to get a bow for my sons birthday. Ron took a lot of time with us and helped us make the right purchase, then spent an hour with us getting his bow dialed in. They exceeded all of my expectations!

Ive read a review that gave Timber Mesa Outdoors a one star, because they had small inventory and small 20 yard lanes. I had to write this review to make sure that everyone knows, they are not a one star shop. They have a large inventory, the lanes are standard 20 yards with 15 lanes in it. Professional environment and everyone knows what theyre talking about. I go to their show low stores and its just as great. Timber Mesa is an awesome addition to the valleys archery industry.

Just poor service.One guy just makes you feel like you’re wasting his time.They answer the phone, “Timber Mesa” in the most depressed voice. “How about saying, this is Junior how can I help you?”They blame every delay on the suppliers. And after paying $230 on repairs and waiting almost 4 weeks. They tell me the limbs are broke, in which they swear up and down they couldn’t have noticed without pulling it back and want to charge me another $140 and wait another 3 weeks. Needless to say I am buying my new bow else where since they aren’t giving me any credit towards something else.Just terrible service at the Mesa location. I’d rather drive up to show low where the owner cares. I’ve given them so many chances. Just don’t know customer service.The crazy thing is I bet they won’t even read this.

This place does it right. Large selection of bows and accessories. Staff is friendly and helpful. The range is a great little 20 yard range with nice bales. The biggest advantage this place has is the staff. They know what they are doing and want to help you.

Timber Mesa, its a great archery shop. The store has great bows, you dont need a dizzying selection of archery equipment if you stock what works. The staff and owner are top notch. Highly recommended whether you are a seasoned Archer or a beginner looking for anserrs and help.Andy

The prices on the bows seem reasonable. The shop is clean and well organized. Only problem is, went in to buy my first recurve and not a single greeting or any help while walking around the whole store. I was the only customer in there. I had no idea where to start. It is intimidating so I went over to bear mountain had help the second I walked in the door and had a recurve ordered in twenty min after being shown a thousand option for my price range with recommendations on everything.

There is a reason they have good reviews! I am brand new to archery, I walked in with a bow I bought elsewhere to get tuned up and hit the indoor range and they were more than happy to help me out and answered all the questions I had without looking down at me because I was new. Even the other customers that were shooting there gave me pointers and helped adjust my bow.. anything else I need I will be purchasing here...

I went in just to look for my first compound bow. There were only 2 people working the counter and 3 people waiting when I got to the counter. I spoke to Ron who set up 3 bows for me and took his time show me how to shoot and figure out what might be right for me. I did not buy a bow here yet but will be back. Great service!!

Avoid this place at all costs! I took my bow in for a simple repair. Six weeks later, thats right SIX WEEKS later they still hadnt replaced my limb bolts. Zero communication, zero effort to solve the problem. There are plenty of other archery shops in the valley. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

AWESOME! After visiting over 4 shops around the valley, I ended up here. The pomposity, and lack of Customer service in EVERY single shop I went to in the last couple weeks surprised and disappointed me all at the same time. Sad really. It seems the Cool guy attitude is definitely prevalent in Arizonas archery community. Not the way it was many years ago when I was shooting/ hunting with a compound. That being said, with my new Bear Grizzly in hand at just about opening time, I was greeted and the awesomeness began! Junior was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, even took his time to show me some quick tips to get to knowing my new Bear Grizzly a lot better. Supercool! I got to pick Prestons (resident Trad expert) brain a lot today, THIS KID IS A TRAD WIZ!!! He has passion and tons of knowledge, you can feel his passion and you know your talking to the right guy! It was so awesome for me to find these guys. To be able to have questions answered from archery guys like this was fantastic! They were able to deliver their information and know how in a NON-POMPOUS way....they were friendly, amiable and gave their time when they had it. Thats all this old man could ask for! I met some cool customers while I was there and a wonderful man named Lauren, helped me IMMENSELY with some shooting tips! I went from 12-14 groups at 20 yards down to my last group of 4 being 6!! Keep in mind this was literally around only 30 arrows through a recurve bow in my whole life and a 7 year hiatus from even pulling a bow back! Let me tell ya, I wouldnt start off with a 55# Grizzly as your first trad bow ( my fault! Ha!), but with the help and advice from the guys at Timber....I will get there for sure! THEY HAVE EARNED A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! What cool group of guys with the passion still inside burning bright! Lets fling some arrows! I have been here several times. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and takes the time to get your bow set up perfectly. They have an indoor range, better selection than most shops, and has a great vibe.

Preston helped me from the second I walked into the door. As an absolute amateur when it comes to bows I learned a ton from him. He helped me pick out every single part for my bow distinguishing the pros and cons between different accessories along the way.The following day when I picked up my bow, he took me to the range and got my bow sighted in perfectly as well as provided tips for me to follow whenever I practice shooting.Even my father who has been shooting bows for a very long time learned a lot of new things from Preston as he took me through the process of building my bow.If theres any place to go in town to buy/practice shooting your bow Timber Mesa Outdoors is the place to go.

Absolutely amazing customer service! I got a bow from sportsmans wearhouse that they tried to set up for me and did it completely wrong. Trying to learn how to shoot with a bow that is not set up right doesnt work out so well. I went into Timber Mesa and the manager Junior was extremely helpful and set everything up the correct way for me while also giving me pointers while I was shooting in the range. It helped me so much and helped build that confidence in shooting the bow the correct way. Everyone in the shop is very nice and willing to help you in any way. I am so glad I went in to see them! Nice range and a on knowledgeable staff. A great way to spend your time in hot summer days

First, my fiance and I took a one-on-one lesson with Tony. He was awesome, patient with us, kept things simple, and really made us feel comfortable behind a bow. In fact, a few days later I returned to Timber Mesa and purchased both a recurve and compound.When I returned, Preston helped me. Just like Tony, Preston was very patient, honest and didnt try to upsell, kept things simple, and overall made me feel comfortable. He helped me pick out my compound, arrows for it and arrows for the recurve, along with a release that was to my liking. He also double checked my draw length and assured me that we can get my sights adjusted, so long as the hunting season crowd isnt making the place too busy, when I come back to officially pick it up -- Timber Mesa is making sure that the bow is adjusted properly to my specifications and without defect before officially selling it to me, which I greatly appreciate.

This place rocks. We have a couple bow shops in the area but in my experience they either dont have the best techs or they act like you are wasting their time. In comes Timber Mesa. I was excited we finally had a local dealer for the big 3 companies along with Prime and Elite all in one store.Greg and Bryan had me setup and demoing all the models I was interested in and didnt mind me going back and forth several times. I ended up getting a Prime Rize and couldnt be happier with the service and setup I received. A+

Everything. The salesmen are knowledgeable and friendly, and dont treat you like you are stupid for asking questions. They will order anything you want and the custom bow strings are top notch. We will recommend this shop to everyone.

This was my first time here, and all I can say is, that this place is AWESOME! Supper friendly staff, always willing to help with any questions, and they have a range!
