Ken L was fair, helpful, and accommodating thru the buying process. The transportation company didn’t provide good communication but it was reassuring to have Ken to follow up everything was okay.

I bought my XC 70 for West County Volvo back in 2016. LOVE my Volvo. I have had every 10K mileage performed at the dealer and they have never disappointed. My car runs in tip top condition. I have worked with both Harris and Joe as my service representatives and they have always gone above and beyond. I have zero complaints.With Covid it has been nice having spacious waiting areas so that social distancing is easily achieved. When I was there on 10/18/21 I was a little surprised to see that the employees were no longer wearing masks, although I understand. But the customers in the waiting room (all 3 of us) were wearing masks and it was easy to keep our distance, so I was perfectly comfortable with it.I recommend West County Volvo both in terms of sales and service after the sale.

It was the best car buying experience I have ever had in last 22 years. I was looking for Audi Q series trade in with my Lexus LX. Went to 3 Audi dealers but they are not keen in selling one and poor response not much experience in trade ins. On the way back Springfield from Audi show room (Manchester rd) i saw Volvo show room. Just went in but salesmen were too busy after 10 min wait i started leaving the show room. Outside show room before leaving some one ran behind us and very curious asking why are we leaving.?That man is Tom Calkins. Within 30 mins the deal was done trade in procedures were taken care. He is very knowledgeable deal maker and experienced.The whole team. Tom, John Fitzpatrick and Finance Manager all are very efficient and do not waste your time. (Finance usually waste our time and spoil all the salesman effort , some time take more than 2 hours).After delivery a few miles away from show room i found that the low tire pressure indicator was on. I come back to service department, the service crews were so efficient and diagnos the problem ( actually it was more pressure) and reduced the pressure. (Great sales and service team). We drove from Springfield MO (200 miles) and do it again.Everyone was professional, courteous, and all around nice, Even i suggest Tom to open a Volvo show room at Springfield MO..

There was no after sale service or support at Volvo Cars West County!They were very nice when I was handing them over a check, hard earned money, but after the sale, when I pointed out an issue they caused they refused to do anything about it. Not even apology! They dont care, they made the sale and moved on to another. They are unprofessional on all levels and not only that, they were rude to me.They are not the only Volvo dealer around. Next time I would go to Volvo Cars St Louis instead.

Yesterday Dan Kitchel, the Service Manager, was most accommodating. He was very sympathetic to my plight and went out of his way to solve my problem. I was very pleased.

Called their parts department to find out about what size my front rotors are. My Volvo model could have 3 different sizes. A very unpleasant person informed me they have it in stock for 150$ but would not give me info about it. Instead he said 17.5 inches. European cars have metric measures. Thats a wheel sized rotor? What? Well to buy it from them costs twice as much as AutoZone. No wonder they are so rude about it.

Harris was the service technician. He was very courteous and prompt with checking me in. The wait was a little longer than I expected but I had a book.Thanks for the service and the car wash.

Couple weeks ago we bought our first Volvo from them. Brandan made the whole process very smooth. He accommodated all of our needs. Negotiation was fair and completely transparent. Great experience with our Salesman Jim Portner. We bought in about 5 minutes. Hubby and I do not like haggling for prices. I prefer up front fair pricing. I walked out feeling we just bought a beautiful 2021 new car and didnt spend two hours back and forth negotiating a price. Jim was helpful and informative about the safety features of the volvo. We were buying new as our vehicle Volvo S80 was a 2008 and we wanted something new. We didnt trade as we are giving that car to our daughter. Maybe she will get another 100,000 miles from car. Volvos are great cars. This new one is super fun to drive and super comfy. I would recommend anyone looking to see Jim. Also he is so patient, obviously we are coming from a top of the line 2008 which does not have the technology new cars have. Thanks Jim.

I have dealt with the service department at West County Volvo for many years. I have also had our Volvos serviced at other Volvo dealerships in Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee when it was more convenient. The folks at West County are good people to do business with. I have found them to be honest and competent, sometimes fixing problems that other Volvo dealers couldnt.

Everything went well with this service appointment. I was able to get two recalls resolved, a check engine light issue corrected, as well as a regularly scheduled maintenance interval handled in one service call. Volvo Cars West Country regularly sends out coupon flyers and I was able to reduce the service charges which is very helpful in these economic times. My car was returned to me with a fresh car wash and all work clearly articulated to me from the service technician.

Went in search of a pre-owned car. Jim Portner was incredibly helpful in getting us looking at the cars we were interested in. A couple of smooth test drives later, we found an SUV at a great price that was perfect for us.We were also making a trade in as part of this purchase. Volvo West County had a comprehensive and fair trade in appraisal process. No funny business here, and everyone walked away very happy.Mathew Iglehart made the last steps in financing smooth and easy.The system used when signing is still paper forms and manually typing, which is prone to errors. I wish their system was upgraded like almost all other dealerships Ive visited where you electronically view and sign documents.Even with an outdated system, buying a car here was easier and less stressful than any other car purchase Ive made before.

West County Volvo handled an engine check light quickly. A part needed to be ordered, so I got a service vehicle at no cost. The repair was completed early the next day.

Every time I come here its the same. When I go to the service center you always get ignored for the longest time. Much improvement need...

West County Volvo is selling vehicles without certificates of title. I went to look at a new car and ended up trading in my old Volvo and writing a check for the new one. Because I’d only planned on looking Tom Calkins told me once I sent or brought the title to my trade-in to the dealership I’d get the new title, which was obviously reasonable .When I got home I realized they neglected to give me the bill of sale so I called Tom Calkins. He yelled at me about not having checked the glove box and it was after 5:00 pm. I had checked the glove box and my purse before even phoning him.The following week I contacted Tom to see if he wanted me to send or bring in the title to my trade-in. I live one hour from the dealership.He texted me to send it or bring it in and he’d give me title to my new car, which theyd already cashed a &63,000.00 check for.I phoned Tom en route As I was in a rush and he confirmed my title and the original bill of sale were ready . I signed my title in front of Tom . After he took it, he then told me they did not have the title to my new car and gave me some story about why.I have no idea if they are supposed to be selling vehicles when they can’t transfer title. It seems unethical .His supervisor , Stephen Lynch was equally unhelpful and acted like it was no big deal.As I was pulling out of the parking lot, Tom came running out and knocked on my window insisting he check my glove box. It was like a police search. There was nothing in my glove box as I’d told him previously.Tom proceeded to call and text me for several hours trying to cover up his lie. Both Tom and Steve Lynch refused to have the owner contact me.Tom called and texted me the following day . It was creepy bc he was sending me pictures of his family, apologizing and then tried to offer it me a discount if my boyfriend bought a Volvo.It was only after telling Steve Lynch I was contacting my attorney to address the situation that miraculously the title arrived via courier.I also reached out to Chris Suntrup. the owner through a friend and he has yet to contact me.I’ve bought three Volvos from West County Volvo and sent referrals resulting in five additional Volvo sales.They are unethical. TreT customers terribly and have no sense of accountability.Unfortunately for Tom Calkins I have alll of his lies and contradictions in writing from him and as the owner does not even cate enough about his business or customer relations to return my request for a call and bc of Tom Calkins’ harassment I’ve turned them in to Volvo North America.Do not trust West County Volvo.

I had little time to spare on my day off but they were able to promptly inspect my car so I could run to the DMV for tags. Harris Thomas was especially helpful in advising me about tire needs in the future and assist me in making a wise decision. I was given VIP assistance and care and will always return to Volvo West County to service my car.7/23/21 Again I had a special request and Volvo came to the rescue. Got me in and out and included a car wash. Jennifer Smith was my service advisor. Thank you for excellent service.

I was not at all satisfied with the service, I would recommend going with Stlouis Volvo at that region as they did a great job identifying the issue with my breaks and resolving it. WestCounty were not able to revolve the issue even after pointing out the issue during my first service.

Wife and I bought a car here from Brandan Spraul. Simplest, quickest, and most pain free automobile purchase of our lives. Contacted dealer by phone about vehicle in inventory. Quickly dealt with details and trade by text message. Came in for pickup later that week. No strange funny business during pickup and trip to finance office. The whole thing from start to finish (including phone/text) took about an hour.Could we have received more for our trade elsewhere? Maybe. Was the final price the best deal in town? I dont know.What I do know is that the price was fair and the hassle was non existent. If youre looking for a Volvo give these guys a shot.

Usually I dont do reviews but I had to for this dealership, this was one of the worst experiences I have had encountered at a dealership. Starting with the salesman, business manager (Mat), and general sales manager. They lack customer service, when I tried to speak to the manager I was verbally abused. They refused to answer question in a respectful manner and their business manager tried to rush the process because he had totake his daughter to a game. I wish I could give them a lower rate if I could. Would never go back to this dealership. Save your money and go elsewhere.

He coordinated so that we could drop off one, trade cars, and then pick up the 2nd in a timely manner. That helped us out. We have been coming to West County Volvo for many years. These 2 cars are the 8th and 9th purchased from Tom. He is also excellent.

Dan Kitchel and the rest of the service department at West County Volvo is incredible. We bought an XC90 and because of the service department ended up buying 4 more Volvos. I have one, my wife has one and my 3 kids have one. We bought foreign cars from other places in St. Louis, but the service departments ripped us off. On at least a half dozen occasions, West Countys service department figured out how to save us money. Service truly does sell cars.

Edit: After being told my water pump needed replacing, I ordered a water pump kit that included all pulleys and a new belt and fluids, when I replaced all of it, the only thing that wasnt bad was the water pump which was the most expensive part of the kit. The noisy water pump was actually an idler pulley and the noise has since gone away. The other noise that went undiagnosed was my pcv system not working at all. I am about to replace that myself as well and save the hassle of that dealer.There was also an active recall for the seatbelt on my vehicle that the advisor said was done but then called back after I picked up my car and said it actually wasnt done and Id need to make another appointment.The original issue I had gone in for was a vibration at speed that they said all my wheels were bent and needed replacing. They balanced the worst one and said it should be better. It was unchanged so I brought it to Meineke and they balanced it again and it was much better. Im having the wheels restored soon professionally.Overall, I was charged $513 for a vacuum pump replacement that should have been $350. The extra charge was labor for a diagnosis that was almost completely wrong.Hold times are long and the rental car situation is always an unknown. Meaning you never know if theres one available and if there is it may not be for long.
