Transparency is key here. I know enough to be dangerous with cars but if you came to me with $6000 worth of needed work, I have no idea if I actually need it. Why I usually hate going to garages. NEVER once did I feel that pressure or doubt with Bob and Sons. I had my mothers truck for the week and her brakes were awful. Shed brought it to her local garage twice and was told the brakes were fine. The guys here ended up replacing nearly every component of the braking system. Front brakes werent even working. They send you pictures and explanations and update you if things change. Best repair money Ive ever spent on a car. Go see these guys if you need something done on an older car. Cant say enough good things.

I really felt like my car was in good hands and I sincerely appreciated Roberts approach in going above and beyond to explain each of the repairs and keeping me informed throughout the process. Our long time mechanic closed on Elm street a few years back (Al), we have struggled to find a reputable quality place since then. I am happy to say we found a gem in Bob & Sons. They were very thorough, had excellent customer service, and prices were great compared to others we have tried. I think we found our new regular mechanic! These guys are the best. How many places give you a loaner just for a state inspection and general maintenance. They always inform you of any work that needs to be carried out before doing it and advise if it is necessary. You can also book online. I’ve been bringing our vehicles to Bob and Sons for over 20 years now for regular maintenance and repair work. I trust them totally for their honesty and quality of work. I believe their charges are competitive but importantly, I’m super confident in the quality of their work and when they fix something, it virtually always stays fixed and on the rare occasion when something doesn’t get addressed correctly, they always make it right. They are on time with their work and are highly detail oriented. Plus, everyone who works there is super nice and friendly. Highly recommended if you want reliable, fair car servicing .

Once again convenient, professional and quality service, provided transportation back to my office while they performed the service and then again to pick it up after it had been completed.

Charged me for parts (clips to hold my bumper in when I already had clips that held it in) that were not needed for a low beam head light replacement. Was charged $177 for an hours worth of work on replacing the bulb. I purchased and brought in my own bulb so this was all labor cost. Was told labor fees vary depending on customer. I called around after service had been completed to find that they charged double than most shops! The only reason I went here was because a friend gave me a $25 discount card that was declined because they said I purchased my own part (lightbulb) and it only is valid if parts were purchased through them, I noticed the charge for the unnecessary part afterwards where In that case the card should of been valid since they purchased a part. I ended up speaking to the Manager Ian after calling in several times over several days who said the discount card should of been valid and agreed to refund me money for the parts purchased through them and $25 for the discount card. Overall I felt I was being overcharged for something that should of been a simple fix for a bulb that needed to be replaced and the customer service from Robert who was the main person I was dealing with when calling in several times to speak to a manager was atrocious to deal with. Save your money and go elsewhere also lesson learned on my part to always ask how much they charge even for something you may assume can’t cost much like for a simple bulb replacement!

I had a great experience with Bob and Sons, this was my first time engaging Bob & Sons for my car servicing and I was taken care of very well. I recently moved into the area and was looking for an honest mechanic. Robert provided me timely updates and everything was done with my prior authorization. I picked up my car yesterday, and so far it is working fine. I will definitely reach out again for future servicing needs.

Bob’s Auto & Sons is the best! They take care of you like family. They tell you in plain speak what you need to understand about your car and do a great job taking care of your car. Trust is so important and I trust their team completely. I’ve had some great conversations with their staff to the point where I think of them as friends who happen to take care of my car. Bob and Sons perform a State Inspection , 3 items were found to fail the State Inspection, two rear windows did not operate, the third item a tie rod end that was fail, was found to be in good shape , no play at all !.. Mistake no !.. Fraudulent yes !.. Failed item mean work , in this case , new tie rod end and alignment !.. Also their repair recommendations was accessive to say the least . If you were to fallow their recommendations on a 2006 car , it would be cheaper to scrap it and buy a new one !.. As a retired mechanic and business owner for 50 years + I found this type of practice popular among repair shops, Bob and Sons is no exeption !.. Word of advice ; when you go for repair get a second opinion on what they tell you is wrong , 50% of the time you will find you have been CON !...

I took my car in to be inspected. From the very start I appreciated the online scheduling tool to quickly confirm a time slot—its the little things that can make a big difference.Once they finished the inspection I was texted a link to a report online detailing the results of the inspection with pictures of the part that each line item referred to. They also include short video snippets to educate you on each item.I appreciate the attention to detail and information.

I had been going to the same shop since I got my license since I was 16 and without much knowledge in cars it can be a little nerve racking to try another place out. But I had an amazing experience (not that I expected anything less)! I loved the communication throughout the whole process. I had originally just came in for an oil change but then some other important maintenance work came up that Robert highly suggested. He was patient with me over the phone explaining to me what was going on and what was most important to do immediately. I would have been unaware that I had animal activity and that my cabin and air filters needed some immediate attention. I appreciated the great communication as well as to what those services meant and how it would affect the price. I am fairly new to Manchester. Before moving here, I had a privately owned garage I always used because it was close to my home and convenient. Now that garage is 30 miles away. I hadnt really thought about needing to find a NEW local garage until my car started making the kind of metal-on-metal grinding noise that lets you know you dont want to drive it 30 miles down the highway to your old place. But a new garage isnt like a new dentist. Mechanics can really screw you over if you dont find one you can trust. I Googled, read reviews, looked up ratings on the Better Business Bureau site, and finally landed on Bob & Sons. The reviews were positive and ratings were good, but it was still a gamble with the unknown. Through the website, I requested an appointment. It was Sunday afternoon, and I did not expect a response. Within an hour, I received an email from Ian, whom I recognized from his bio on the website. They got me in the next day. I was greeted warmly and the whole process was explained to me. I would receive a text message with a detailed overview of my vehicles status, at which point I would call and discuss repairs and costs. The overview of my vehicle revealed a number of recommended repairs, which were prioritized according to their safety concerns. My vehicle is getting up there in age, so there were quite a few recommendations, but I was not pressured even in the slightest to do more than the most essential repair -- rear brake pads and rotors. Not only was I not pressured to do the less urgent repairs, but they offered to inspect my vehicle (3 months ahead of the date) and put a sticker on it once the brakes were replaced. The repairs werent cheap, so being of a suspicious nature, I did a little research to find out if I was being charged a reasonable amount. It turns out yes, what I was charged was typical for the repairs done. When I picked up my car, I was given a goodie bag to thank me for my business. I was very pleased with the experience from start to finish and have found a new local garage for sure!

My 2020 GMC Terrain needed a new tire. Well, actually two new tires. Rob helped us not only get a new tire but rotated the other ones so I wouldn’t have to buy two. He not only got the tire in in a couple of hours but also loaned us his car so we were able to proceed with our day without the inconvenience of not having transportation. We are new in town and he was so nice professional but had our truck ready in no time. We will always take our vehicles here to do business and will recommend them to people we know

The front desk was very knowledgeable (not an experience I’ve had at other shops) and kept me up to date as repairs were made and other issues discovered. They informed me of major maintenance milestones which keeps anything from coming at me out of the blue and promotes the longevity of my vehicle.

I have been a customer of Bob and Sons Automotive, Inc for more years than I can remember and they have bailed me out of many automotive situations while also handling standard maintenance on our vehicles. On Tuesday, my car (aka Anastasia Beaverhausen) decided to gift me with a flat tire. Fortunately, I had just arrived at a job site and was able to safely social distance while one of the framing crew members put the spare on. Once I got back home, I made the call to determine what to do next. Not only was Robert able to schedule the appointment quickly; but, as an added service, I was offered the option of contact-less pick up and delivery for the service appointment. I am thankful that Bob and Sons Automotive, Inc is still out there offering the highest level of service during these unprecedented times.

First time I went there they were extremely friendly and respectful. I wasnt able to find a mechanic I liked until this one. Every other place I went to tried to get me to pay for more because Im a woman so they think I dont know whats going on in my car (which was mostly true). However after my inspection Bob & Sons told me about the normal maintenance that might be overdue and was honest in what could wait and what was more important. Wont go anywhere else

I came from Virginia to NH to purchase a car and this shop went above and beyond explaining to me their process and doing a pre-purchase inspection for me. Okay, you gave me the bad news but it had to be done. Bite the bullet. The car now runs better than ever. My Master Technician friend says that is possible depending on the failure. The car seems more responsive and shifts with more definition. Im filling the tank and am told by my friend gas mileage should improve. I cant wait. Still need more work on the list but am liking the car more than ever!

Best auto repair shop Ive ever used! They did a full diagnostic evaluation of the noise I was hearing INCLUDING pictures! They texted me the pictures and full report so that I could review it before we spoke about next steps. Ian was extremely helpful and explained everything in a very respectful way. I scheduled a 1 hour appointment for a pre-purchase inspection on a car that had already lived a rough life, and the team at Bob & Sons was excellent! Everyone I worked with was both professional & friendly, offering advice about the vehicle and its intended use. Even the person who chaperoned me from where I was buying the car said that this is the kind of place that goes through everything with a fine toothed comb. Glad I made the decision to go here.

In today’s day and age, it’s hard to find a mechanic that is trustworthy, reasonably priced and nice. Bob and Sons is all three, and more! I needed some work done and they worked with my insurance to get everything done in a timely manner and helped navigate all the issues. As I was backing out of my parking space when all the work was done, Dennis noticed my break light was out and fixed it right in the parking lot before I left! I cannot recommend this team enough! Excellent experience with these folks today!! I called this morning to set up a state inspection for my vehicle and they were able to get me in on a moment’s notice! I let them know that I had to leave for an appointment at 10:30am (I dropped the car off at 9:30) and by 10:00am I was getting a call that it was all set and good to go. I spoke with Ian on the phone and dealt with Robert at the front desk, both were exceptionally friendly & professional. Pricing was fair and the entire process was smooth and hassle free (which can be hard to find with automotive shops). Bob & Sons is legit and the place to go in Manchester for good, honest business with great folks!

They are a great shop with years of expierience with very high quality work. My only hangup is that I would say needs to be adjusted is their prices they are very high. 60 dollars for an oil change and 350 dollars for and ATF change is very pricey considering these jobs together should take no more than an hour. That is the difference between a 4 star and a 5 star review. To alleviate this problem they should allow doubling and tripling up of coupons, as I get coupons from them on a monthly basis.

An appointment was made the car diagnosed and repaired. The repair required manufacturers parts and I believe we payed a reasonable amount the work completed. Let’s face it nobody likes big car/truck repair bills. This was my first visit at Bob and Sons. Bob and Sons came highly recommended, so I took the chance. Yes, my bill was high, but that was not Bobs fault. My vehicle was 16 years old and my previous mechanic just didn’t want to work on it. Bob and Sons gave me a complete bumper to bumper review of the current state of my vehicle ( a Chevy 2500 HD).I came to Bob’s with my own list of issues. Robert explained in advance everything that would be done and approximately what it would cost and how long. I decided which repairs to do and which not. Bob and Sons even provided me with a loaner vehicle.Could I have gotten a better price, maybe. But the service and confidence in their workmanship, means it was money well spent. You get what you pay for! I will return.

I love that they keep me informed of my cars status and make it clear to me what they recommend my car absolutely needs and what can wait.They have fixed many things for me so far, including a full tune up, inspection, emission sensors, new brakes and much more, all the work holds up. I drive almost 100 miles a day and my car is 13 years old, so this shows Bobs and Sons work can stand up rigorous testing.I highly recommend them! Yes, they may not be the cheapest place in town, but in the car world you get what you pay for and they have the highest quality work Ive seen in the area. Also, they have a great rewards program and send coupons and discounts that can sometimes be combined.

Great people and great work! They sound very genuine and go above and beyond. If you are buying a private party car and want it checked out I HIGHLY recommend these guys. Best $99.00 I spent to have them look at everything on and under the car. They send you a detailed report with pictures and an unbiased opinion on the overall condition and what will need to be looked at in the near future.

Bob and Sons is a great place to go for all things automotive. Just went in for a state inspection. I was greeted over the phone with genuine friendliness when i scheduled the inspection. I received a list of everything that needed to get fixed now and everything that needed to get fixed soon. I was walked through step by step what Id need and what to expect. I even got a lift to the shop when my car was ready for me to pick it up. This was only my second state inspection owning my own vehicle and they made it simple. Absolutely outstanding.

I have been going to Bob and Sons Auto for probably 5 years now. In that 5 years the crew has maintained several cars for me. They have always been great to deal with from service to payments and everything in between. I have recommended them to friends and co-workers, all of which have come back and told me the great experience they have there as well. The entire crew at Bob and Sons has been great to me and I am sure they extend that to everyone they deal with.No doubt a 5 star family business.

Had a lot of problems with my engine misfiring. Friends who knew about cars had suggestions, but nothing worked. Eventually at the end of my rope I brought it here. Had a cause diagnosis the same day, also fixed the same day. Even gave me a ride to my nearby work when I dropped it off! They provided some recommendations for other services, but were not at all pushy about it, more like a just so you know, we also see this other issue which could become a problem. Overall, I was very happy and while I hope my car never has another major issue the rest of the time I own it, I will come here again the next time my car starts to act up.Update: I still use Bob & Sons Automotive exclusively for all my service and repairs. Car still runs like a dream and I never have to worry about it. Great service, would highly recommend.Another Update: Its winter of 2020, and I still bring my car here for anything it needs. My vehicle is running great, and Bob & Sons always take the time to answer any questions I have about any services I have done on the vehicle. Great place and I still wholeheartedly reccomend.
