I bought some aftermarket headlights for my truck, and the connectors ended up being bad in them. I brought it to Cache Valley Autocare and they fixed it quickly and at a reasonable price, and even fixed it again a couple days later when the lights failed at no additional charge. These guys are awesome and I highly recommend them!

My husband and I took our car in a few months ago for a check engine light, and they fixed it, it cost us quite a bit… but that can happen, and I would have minded if it worked. But then the check engine light came on about a week later. They didn’t end up fixing any issue with what we paid them for. This not only happened to us, but one our family members just had a similar thing happen here. It’s really too bad that this happened, and hopefully they can get some more experienced workers to know what they’re doing.

I’ve taken my car in about 5 different times. My favorite thing about Spencer and the CVA team is TRUST. They never push me to do work that isn’t necessary and they are honest about the severity of my car issues. I also have never been overcharged for servicing!

I was introduced to this auto repair shop about 3 and a half years ago by a friend. He said it was the best around Logan. Since my first visit, I have received excellent customer service. Over the years, I have been helped by Spencer, Ray and most recently, Mike. They have been very helpful, polite and taken time to explain what I needed done and what to prioritize basing on my budget. I have also received some discount coupons in the mail and via text that have helped offset some of the costs. To be honest, I think I have gotten alot more than my moneys worth and my car is in great shape. The boys in the back (whom I havent had the pleasure of meeting) always do a great job! I recently visited Cache Valley Autocare for a basic oil change. I had a very positive experience. Their staff are totally honest, no-nonsense type of people. I pulled in and they pulled my car in, did the work and had it back to me in 20 minutes or less. No bogus upselling or fake issues that need to be fixed like they tell you at chains like Jiffy Lube.While I waited for my care I overheard several conversations they had with other customers and it was clear to me they only recommend repairs and work that is actually needed. They also helped customers understand what the problem was and helped them prioritize what needed immediate attention and what could wait. I love that.Their prices, while cheap and competitive for some services (like an oil change) are likely not the nest/cheapest deal you can find in Cache Valley but the peace of mind and customer service you get for the few bucks price difference is likely worth it.I would recommend this place highly and I will likely visit again.

Im only giving 2 stars because the service was done correctly. However, I scheduled an appointment 2 days in advance for an oil change at a scheduled time. I was never informed that it might take longer than expected.I didnt receive a call for my car to be ready by 2 hours after I had dropped it off. They said it was just being finished up and would take an additional half hour for a job that should have taken only half an hour to begin with. What is the point of scheduling a time to have routine maintenance when its going to take all day anyway?

This last time he recognized that a part from a previous repair had failed and instantly offered to do the labor and replace the part for free. A few days later I received a personalized card in the mail from the owner Dan King, thanking me for choosing them for my auto service needs and providing discounts and his card to encourage me to bring my car to them for future service. Sadly this kind of personal attention is almost extinct in our click and point world. I highly recommend the professionals at Cache Valley Autocare.

My parents were in town when their water pump broke and knocked out the automatic steering. It was a Saturday and they were afraid they wouldn’t be able to find anyone to fix it in time for their return trip the next day. We found this place on Google and decided to give it a try. Long story short, they fixed the car in less than 4 hours, waited until after hours for us to come and pick it up (that was our fault for being late), and they charged a fair price for it all. The customer service was exceptional. Huge shout out to Spencer for putting in extra time for us and treating us with a ton of respect. Highly recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in Cache Valley.

I feel bad that I have not reviewed before because I have been having great experiences here for years. Dont hesitate to use these guys for anything your car needs. They are completely honest and upfront, and I have never seen anything at all concerning about their conduct or service. I came into town late on a cross country trip with a rattle under the hood. Contacted the shop online and was able to make an appointment that next morning. The shop was adhering to Covid 19 protocol and provided transportation back and forth between the Super 8 and shop. The problem was promptly identified, I was contacted and given a complete breakdown of the problem, the fix and back on my way by noon that same day. I highly recommend these guys!

I have to admit I was not happy at first about paying to have my cars problem diagnosed, but they ended up saving me over $1000 compared to the place that did it for free. They go over and above to take care of their customers and I never feel like I am being taken advantage of.

Cache Valley Auto is fantastic. I take my used vehicle there for everything. The mechanics do a great job getting any repair done well, efficiently and very cost effectively. Most notable is Spencer at the front desk. He is awesome. He is very friendly and helpful. He often makes an effort to explain to me how my car engine runs and why certain repairs are needed. He also helps me with little repairs when I just drop in and he answers questions when I call. I wish all auto shops were this reliable, honest and easy.

By far one of the best experiences Ive had with a repair shop. They were able to get my car in fast. Kept me updated throughout the whole process. The guys there were super patient and more than willing to teach me, and help me understand what exactly the issue was.

The service at this shop is fantastic! I was up in Logan visiting from Salt Lake when I ran into some car problems. I called this place and they were able to take my car in and look at it the same day I called. They were honest and said they might not be able to get it done before the end of the day, which I appreciate. They called me a few hours later and updated me on the work my car needed and said they were able to get it done. This was a huge lifesaver for me so I wouldn’t be stranded in Logan for the weekend. Now I can get back to work on Monday. Spencer who worked at the front desk was very nice. If I’m needing more car work done in Logan, I will come here!

Not sure if it’s an accidental incorrect diagnosis, general incompetence or straight up dishonesty, but they quoted me a $1,000 repair. I had it towed it to a different mechanic and it was fixed for $85.That’s a HUGE difference.** All of my dealings were over the phone. I live in SLC, daughter attends USU**My daughters car broke down, within one block of getting an oil change (not at Cache valley) It would turn on, but wouldn’t drive. Check engine code said throttle body. We had it towed to Cache Valley Auto repair. Ray was aware of all of this information.Ray said it needed a new throttle body. The part was super dirty, covered in oil , and ruined fromlong term oil overfill and couldn’t be cleaned. Repair estimate $1000. The part alone was $750. I asked if I could buy an after market part, Ray said no. Told him I needed to consult with my husband. Ray called me 20 minutes later, saying instead of putting a cheap part in, the technician said he could try and clean it first, for $250. No guarantee it would work or for how long. He said it might last a day or a month or a year.At this point I decided to get a second opinion. Payed Ray $100 for the diagnosis time, and $65 to a tow truck to have it taken to a different mechanic.The new mechanic, said worst case scenario a new throttle body was $750. Parts and all. The part from the dealer is only $550 (verified part cost with vin of vehicle, so $200 less then Cache valley quoted) The new mechanic said there were a few different things it could be , educated me on all of them, and said he would call as soon as he knew.TWO HOURS LATER, car is done. TOTAL COST $85!!!!!!He said something probably got jostled at the oil change place, engaging a safety of sorts. He fixed it. He also guaranteed the diagnosis. He said if at anytime it acted up to bring it back. Oh and he drove it on the freeway to make sure it was good to go.Saved myself $915

I brought my car in with a number of issues (the car wouldnt start, check engine light was on, etc.), and they not only figured out and resolved all these issues, but they were very proactive at keeping me in touch on what they were doing. They even noticed a potential developing issue, and since my car is as old as it is, let me know the way to care for it so it will last as long as it can. Even when they didnt have the tools to complete things, they recommended other shops that would. I really appreciated how above and they went. Definitely recommend.

I had called two other automotive repair places to get estimates on replacing a swaybar link, and not only was the estimate a WAY better price, but he took the time to give me tips and tricks on how to replace the part on our own. I think that shows a lot about this place and the people they have there, considering they would take the time to do that knowing it may not benefit them at all. Highly recommend them!

I went in to the shop today with car trouble and was greeted by a super friendly staff. Ray and the crew were able to help me figure out what was going on with my car and were very eager to help me out. I was overly impressed with the amazing customer service! Ray and the crew took great care of my vehicle and had my alternator and battery changed by closing time. They had a new battery and alternator installed in my car within a few hours, which was awesome. I was impresssed with the fact that Ray went out of his way to order me a new alternator and have it there in time for me to have my car back. I don’t believe I would have gotten such great service anywhere else. I drove my car to the first mechanic available and I was lucky to end up here! I could tell that the mechanics and the owner truly care about getting their customers a good deal and helping them out. I would recommend this shop to anyone for any car service. I’ll be going here for all of my services from now on!

I love this place. I once went to Big O just to check a couple things and they quoted me over $1,000 to fix something on my car and wanted me to fix it that day. I obviously didnt have $1,000 to just hand over that day and decided to go get a second look at it at Cache Valley Auto. It turned out that the part they told me was broken and needed to be replaced was totally fine. They explained to me exactly what was going on and that I definitely didnt need a replacement on it. They could have easily told me the same thing as Big O and taken my money but instead they were honest and upfront about what was going on with my car and didnt try to scam me out of any money. Ever since then they are the only place I go, whether it be for an oil change, tire issues or anything else.

My alternator died on my way to Provo during the weekend and luckily CVA was opened. I was able to contact them even before they opened, they gave me a call ASAP and I was back on the road in a little over an hour. Amazing service and crew

We had a great experience. Spencer was courteous, well informed, clear and concerned. They gave us a good price, and followed up to make sure that the issue was fully resolved.

They did a great job on all the maintenance I needed done on the 2010 Toyota Corolla I just bought, which hadnt been fully serviced for about 60k miles. Grand total was $660.96 (exactly in-line with what I was quoted from the shop in Draper that did the pre-purchase inspection) and it only took them about a day to do everything, and even then I probably wouldve gotten it back same-day if they hadnt had to wait for a part to come in.Customer service was excellent. They answered all my stupid questions and were always friendly. They also sent me a hand-written thank you letter about a week later with a bunch of coupons inside. Id recommend them to anyone needing maintenance done and Ill definitely be back myself.

Ive been bringing mine and my wifes cars here for a couple of years now. They have great customer service. One time I brought my Jeep in for an oil change the day before I was going to the Uintas for a few days. They noticed one of my U-joints was shot (and it really was, I looked at it and Im lucky it didnt break on me before). They stayed after hours that night to get my Jeep going so that I could go on my trip the next morning. It was outstanding. I dont go anywhere else in the valley anymore, cause no one does as good of a job as Cache Valley Autocare.

This place is not the cheapest place in the valley but when it comes to service, these guys are amazing. I have never seen a more friendly group of mechanics. They are quick at getting my car serviced and keeping me informed of what they find. They do a great job at keeping an eye out for any other possible issues that I may want to look into on my car instead of just taking care of the issue I brought it in for. I hate nothing more than having my car in the shop only to have something else break down a few days later that could have and should have been caught. These guys do their best to make sure you are up to speed on everything with your vehicle. The customer service at the front desk is fantastic. Ray is one of the happiest people youd ever meet. I took my car in for these guys, they took a look at it for me and said that they could try a few things but werent 100% confident it would work, and asked if I wanted them to do it for me. In the end they couldnt fix my car, which I knew was a possibility, but told me that because they couldnt fix it they werent going to charge me for the work done on it either. It was great working with these guys, they were professional and communicative the whole time, wanted to make sure I would have my car when I needed it and despite doing a lot of work on it decided not to charge me for any of the work when in the end they couldnt get it working again. Quality guys, and if I ever need auto work again I know where Im going. Thanks!

My fuel pump needed replaced. After calling several mechanics in the valley I decided to take my car here. After hearing the problem and asking several follow up questions they decided to make sure it was the fuel pump that was needing replaced. They worked hard, fast, and efficient. They did everything they could to save me money and fix my car properly. They were in constant contact with me to give me updates and ask any questions that they had. They were able to replace my fuel pump, clear the check engine light, replace my front brakes, and rebuff my front rotors all for cheaper then what Big O quoted me to just replace the fuel pump. I will definitely be taking my car back to Cache Valley Autocare when I need!

I got stuck in Logan when my mass air flow sensor up and quit on me. This was the only place open on Sat. And I was hoping I could get it fixed that day, but they could not get the correct part so i had to stay there till Monday.When they finnally called me about 2 pm on Monday and said they were putting in the part and I could come pick it up in about 30 mins . And thats when they dropped bomb shell of how much the bill was and had not gotten prior approval before doning the repair. They charged me more than 130 dollars over what the dealer charges for the same part. I tried to discuss the charges when I was picking up the car but they would not hear it. Later they called me after I contacted my credit card company and again tried to give the same explanation that prices on parts vary but not $330 for a part the dealer charges $204.00 they took advantage that I was not a local and needed to get home 315 miles away and figured they would not hear from me again. Dont trust this place unless you get your total in writing in advance. I told them I got two other quotes after they charged me $505.00 but dealer and another shop near them quoted $284.00 for the same job.

Today I realized that I’m the kind of person who tears up when telling their mechanic shop how much they love and appreciate them...In all seriousness, CVA is a dream. They are kind, honest, knowledgeable, respectful of your knowledge level (or lack thereof), and experts at what they do. We have been in numerous times with different cars and each time, I’m reminded how important it is to me to have a mechanic I know I can trust and count on. Today, we brought our Jeep in for an AC recharge and emissions test. Ray (we love Ray) called us maybe an hour later to let us know that there was nothing wrong with the AC and that we could come and pick up the car. When we got there, we paid $15 for the emissions test, and we were on our way—no charge for testing the temperature of the AC. We are so grateful.Funny enough, exactly a year ago, we were in with my brother’s car to have a shredded serpentine belt replaced. He had driven in from out of town and CVA once again came to the rescue. They fit my brother in on a busy Saturday, and fixed everything—they even called him to let him know there were other major problems going on in the car, and they fixed them EVEN WITH THEIR BUSY SCHEDULE.As long as we live in Cache Valley, we will never go anywhere else, and neither should you. Ive never been upsold anything, never got the run-around, never had a less than great customer service experience. This is the only place worth taking your car in Cache Valley.

Ray and the rest of the gentlemen at CVA are top notch. They do a great job with their work, but thats not why we keep coming back; the best thing about CVA is the honesty and integrity with which they treat their customers, and the obvious way that they actually care about you as a person. Theyll take care of you from first contact, get to know you, and get to know your vehicles. Id recommend them to anyone.

Just went into this shop for a yearly checkup, but I was completely blown away with the amazing customer service and overall experience. 11/10 would recommend.

They wont let you bring in your own parts to make it cheaper, even when they are way overcharging you for the part. Tried to make it sound like taking my ignition out would be difficult even though I just finished watching a 15 min video where they guy took it out. I would have done the job myself if I had the tools to take the steering wheel off. Obviously a scam to make more money selling their own parts.
