Nice store and love that its local. They have a lot of different instruments but not too many of each. The man explained they do mostly repairs, but anything for sale had been set up and not just thrown on a shelf.

I had an absolutely great experience! Im from a nearby town and called in the morning to find out what sort of selection they had for mandolins. All my questions were answered perfectly so I knew I wasnt making a fruitless trip.When I got there, that late afternoon, the store was well put together and it was easy to find what I wanted. The selection for mandolins was excellent as well as other instruments! I happened to pick up a mandolin that was a little out of tune and the owner tuned it right up for me in no time.I found the perfect mandolin for me in no time and had an easy transaction. The owner is a super nice guy and is very easy to talk with. He told me about all the workshops the store holds and all the fun events that go on there. Check them out!My trip there was awesome and Im very happy with my experience. Ill definitely be going there more, and so should you!

What a nice group of people! No pressure and they will help you with anything. They even let you borrow an instrument for FREE, to see how you like it. Now try that anywhere else. They also make their own instruments.Dont bother going somewhere else, you will be disappointed once you stop by and chat with these guys.

Bob (the owner of CGS) has done small repairs on several of my guitars including set up, fret dressing, and more. Hes also in the process of resetting the neck on my vintage Martin. Hes the best guitar tech in Lincoln and a wonderful guy. If you need ANYTHING done to your guitars (including appraisals) take it to Bob. And while youre there stay and have a great conversation.

Great shop with not just your typical instruments. Got myself a mountain dulcimer.

The folks at CGS are awesome!! Friendly and very knowledgeable and experienced in instrument repair. Also have an incredible diverse inventory of ibstruments!! Even dulcimers!!! They support the music world with a large room to host concerts and workshops and music clubs. Do yourself a favor and dont miss this place.

After going to other stores, I went to CGSmusic to search for a ukelele to buy as a gift. The owner was very helpful and showed me many choices. I ended up finding the perfect one. CGSmusic took great care of me and the gift was perfect!

This is a GREAT full service music store. Sales and service of all types in musical instruments. They also have one the midwests largest selections of ukuleles. Free beginner ukulele lessons and mentoring on the 1st Monday of each month at 6pm.

FREE MUSIC WORKSHOPS! Everything from ukulele to dulcimer club. Dont have an instrument? No problem, theyll let you borrow one for the class and see if you like it. Also family friendly, its a great opportunity for the kids. Bob (the guy always in there) is one of the most thoughtful and caring people I have ever met. Instrument repair isnt just there job its a passion. Ive had instruments repaired most everywhere else in town and these guys are easily the best. These guys are the picasso and van gogh of instrument repair. Do yourself a favor and go there now.

All factory made instruments need to be setup, regardless of where you purchase an instrument I recommend getting it setup at CGS as it will be easier to play and more enjoyable. The care of craftsmanship is evident in the very high quality of work produced at CGS. Great place to get your instruments serviced!
