Simply the best - only place in Lincoln that Ill buy coffee from. Their beans taste the best, no nasty burnt beans. The owners and staff are some of the nicest, friendliest, and most knowledgeable people youll ever meet. I drink a LOT of coffee, and theyve got me covered - whether I drop in and chat with the wonderful staff, or order online for free/$2 local delivery (I know the delivery fee changes to free sometimes). Check out their Mexico Chiapas - my favorite AM coffee. Or the new Honduras Cafe El Zapote - my new favorite in the evening or on the weekend. They also have the cutest sample/gift boxes that are great for any gifting occasion - brought one to a White Elephant party and everyone fought over it. I could ramble on for hours about how much I love these guys, but Ive probably typed a paragraph. So Ill just get back to sipping on my Mexico Chiapas.

Amazing beans, great variety, and unbeatable hospitality. They offer some of the best locally roasted beans in Lincoln. However, Im writing review because of their amazing customer service. I used to regularly visit this store, but it had been near a year since I had last been there. The owner of the shop still remembered which beans are my favorite after all that time had passed. Needless to say, I plan on once again regularly buying my beans from the Coffee Roaster.

The owners of the Coffee Roaster are amazing. I regularly get our coffee for work and home here. While our favorite coffee is never in short supply, we are often offered suggestions to try, based on our current taste. We have yet to be disappointed! They are all extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Its great to be able to support this local business. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for local, quality coffee.

If you love coffee, this is the place to buy your beans. They have a wide variety, and roast beans daily. They plan to expand into making coffee in the store itself as well, but for now patrons can smell the freshly roasted coffee beans and purchase as little as 8oz of either ground or whole coffee beans from around the world.

Got whole beans to take home for pour over coffee. They smelled great but overall didn’t deliver on flavor. It’s not as bad as Starbucks! But I will continue to get beans from Cultiva and my Yes Plz subscription.Staff in the store was very friendly, willing to let us smell and taste the coffees and teas.

LOVE this place. I used to subscribe to a coffee service that would deliver the beans to my home, just to save myself some time in trying to hunt down good quality coffee. I got tired of the 3-5 different varieties they would send and not being 110% satisfied with the flavors so I started looking around elsewhere.Low and behold this happy accident! I thought I was going in to find myself a coffee service place like a Starbucks, Cultiva or what-have-you but instead I discovered the best place in town to get my home grounds! Im a huge coffee snob and Ive always preferred my coffee with creamer, but the coffee here is so delicious that I barely need any creamer at all.Theyll give you whole beans or grind them to your preference and they always offer great suggestions if youre not sure what you want or want to try something new. I LOVE that theyll also let me bring in my own canister to fill up, and they are always so nice whenever I come in. Best of all I love supporting local :)

Its easy to support a local business when theyre this good at their jobs. They love what they do and it shows!

I tasted the Sulawesi (Dark Roast), Kenya (Medium Roast), El Salvador (Light Roast), and their Espresso. All the roasts come as advertised, you get what is advertised on the bag. If you enjoy a darker roast the Sulawesi is definitely great option. Their Kenya was very good for a medium roast. A friend and I brewed all of them with the Hario V60 and the Chemex. The V60 brewed a better cup on all of them. Particle size is definitely something you can play with and it will affect the flavor profile. The extensive variety of origins is a nice option. I personally prefer the Lighter Roasts because they allow for the tasting notes of their given origins to shine through. That being said, I would definitely come back for the El Salvador. No matter what your palate prefers, the Coffee Roaster has what you want.
