I love Ulta and it’s wide range of brands and products! I’m so glad an Ulta was built first in Lexington instead of a Sephora because Ulta tends to have much friendlier staff and more affordable brands and options. The store is very clean and organized. The staff at this location has been very sweet, helpful, and friendly during my visits thus far. The store is a full-sized Ulta with aisles of makeup, skincare, nail care, and hair care. They have the stands at the registers filled with travel and sample size products as well that I always love picking from to try new products!

I went to this ulta last week to find my foundation for prom. I wanted to get color matched, but because of covid and because the foundation I wanted was only available online, they couldn’t put the makeup on my face. Despite that, the employees were extremely helpful in choosing a match for me. They picked one out and it arrived exactly when they said it would. It’s a perfect match. When I told them I don’t usually wear much makeup, they weren’t rude like employees at other retailers have been in the past. They hyped me up and complimented my dress and hair style choices when I showed them pictures. It was an overall great experience.

I had the absolute BEST experience with my stylist Nicole J!!! She did the most beautiful job on my highlights and hair cut. Not only is she a GREAT stylist, she is an amazingly beautiful person inside and out. If youre looking for top notch hair services coupled with excellent customer service...You NEED to see Nicole J! Very clean store with just about any product you could need. Prices are reasonable and there is something for every price range. Using their credit card also earns you points for free product. Their makeup brushes are the best. Everything is organized with clearance in small well kept sections throughout the store. Its always an easy in and out to get what I need.

I have been shopping at Ulta Beauty for hair products and cosmetics for many years. I am happy that they opened a location in Lexington.I really enjoy my visits there. The workers there are very knowledgeable and available to answer any questions.They also have a hair salon which makes it so easy to get everything I need at one time.

The store is very clean and has a lot of selection. The staff is always super helpful when helping me find my shade or a specific item. Sidney at the Brow Bar is AMAZING. She made my eyebrows look thicker somehow, highly recommend. Shilo at the salon was a great conversation and a good hairstylist. She really took her time to make sure I love everything about my haircut which I really appreciate.

Love this store! They have everything I need. Most of the time everyone is helpful. Last week a had a great experience with a male employee helping me find a great concealer. This week two ladies helped me after I found out my Foundation had been discontinued. They color matched me no problem and help me find a brand that would work with my skin. Whats also nice is that they are honest. They dont try to upsell you on products that they know wont work for you.

Excellent shopping experience, employees were so very knowlegable of where advertised special items I wanted to purchase were, and helped find all over that large store with nice smiles on their faces. I had received a 20% off coupon for anything I wished to purchase and many of name branded items also had 15% to 30% in their store. I really enjoyed my shopping spree!!

I used the Ulta hair salon yesterday and was very impressed with my stylist, Nicole. She was so sweet and energetic and did a wonderful job with my hair! While this is probably one of the nicest Ultas in terms of size, cleanliness, and staff, I have been overcharged every single time Ive shopped here. The first few times I didnt catch it until I was home. Then I started really paying attention to the prices on the register. It never fails, Im always over charged. Then we have to walk to the product, show the sticker, get an override. Ive even had managers argue about the sticker price after being shown (for the correct product). Today I had to stop in. I even thought, please dont overcharge me today.. Of 8 items, 5 were over charged. And we went through the whole routine. Its great when they fix it but its hard to memorize prices of everything youre buying to make sure it rings up right . I think Ill have to start shopping online to avoid the hassle.

Love going to Ulta for all my beauty needs! I dont shop here often, but they always have plenty items in stock. Customer service is professional and all the staff seem knowledgeable about products. They do make up tutorials and help you look for items. Great place to shop for a few gifts thru out the year. The best part about this fairly new Ulta in Lexington, I dont have to drive to Harbison for a few items!I will be using this location as often as possible. I recommend that everyone check them out in your city, Im sure the great service is all the same!

I had a hair appointment scheduled for 3:45pm today. I received a phone call asking if I could come in at 5pm instead. The reason was another client decided she wanted extra services than scheduled for which would take longer. They didn’t want me to have to wait. I cancelled my appointment because 5pm is not a good time for me.I believe the other client should have been rescheduled since these were last minute additions.This is a terrible first impression! I have rescheduled at another salon.

I come here when I have to only. The staff is rude and more worried about the way they look than helping a customer. Be aware of what the bonus is on why you purchase because the computer systems are not all up to current sales. Dont be in a hurry. Dont come in for help. Look for what you need and then leave. Better yet order online and maybe get better customer service.

If I could give no stars, I would! I went in this store with my friends and in the process I was followed around the store. I dont wear makeup, so following me around was pointless. Tell your PIs that the next time they want to watch and follow someone, be a little more discreet!

They sell your basic cosmetic lipstick products like New York Cover Girl la they dont really sell anything like Jeffree Star and some of the stuff is a little bit pricey but at least they have a large selection of different brands you can buy and they had me makeup stations for the people will put makeup on for you I just like to see him with a large variety including which some people will not like male makeup because I do know some drag queens that get really nice makeup and stuff women wear to but they dont tell the pallets

Good sale on jumbo size shampoos and conditioners. Salon staff in back took the time assisting me in type of shampoo appropriate for my hair type. Would have appreciated a greeting when coming into the store rather than staff congregating at registers near the back.

I enjoyed my experience here however the lady that I asked was really sweet but I asked her what foundation do you recommend that is non transferable and what concealer do you recommend that is non transferable and the products she recommended me were the opposite of what i asked for. The foundation she gave me was not even my skin tone and it smelled like car paint. Then the concealer she gave me was the worst concealer ever. It doesnt even dry, it just looks like you smothered lip gloss all over your under-eyes and forehead. Its bad. Her recommendation was the worst recommendation ever. Ill return but I wont be asking for her advice again.

So I would be giving a 5 star review if it weren’t for the salon. I made an appointment for 3:30 pm to have full dem. highlights and a cut. They called me on Sunday and left a voicemail saying they had to ask me a few questions for my appointment. I didn’t get back to them until on my way to the appointment because that’s when I realized I had missed the call. So I called them back for them to tell me that the computer system gave a wrong time frame and that there was no way that they could do the work I had scheduled in the time frame because they close at 6. They then asked me was there anything else I may be interested in. I told them no I’d just have to reschedule. I also went in to the salon just to see if I could face to face talk with someone and come up with something else that may look good. The lady (Shiloh) was very nice however we didn’t figure anything out except that I should book another appointment. Needless to say I probably won’t be booking another appointment because I don’t feel like there was anybody who genuinely tried to help me nor was it my fault that the computer system messed up so I walk away with a bad taste in my mouth over the entire thing and nothing done to my hair. Moral of the story is if the stores computer system messes something up I feel like the customer shouldn’t walk away feeling like they were put off and really not wanting to return.

I replied no and the rep walked away and I proceeded out the door. I will NOT ever recommend this location to anyone. Sephora will forever be my go to.

Marlena is rude and has no customer service skills. I purchased over $70 worth of product and walked right back to the door to have them add my coupon I forgot to my purchase bc THE CASHIERS NEVER ASK YOU IF YOU HAVE COUPONS. Marlena would not even open the door, made me speak through the glass at her, then proceeds to tell me that I will have to come back tomorrow. I said the coupon expires today, you still have a customer at the register right now, why cant we do it now? She said no, they can override your coupon tomorrow. Really? I mean really? I will have to drive back up here tomorrow to have them adjust my purchase. What HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES! I asked her for the manager, she also denied me that. Her name tag did not say manager on it. I told her ok, if you make me come back tomorrow, I will return my purchase then. Im not sure where retail stores get their employees from nowadays, but they should raise their standards bc the employees working on 1.5.2020 are all rude and disrespectful and should be trained to have customer service skills! I will be contacting corporate as well.

I had the best experience today, shilo did an amazing job on my hair. Will definitely be going back. And Jamaica did an amazing job on my brows. I highly recommend ulta in Lexington they are fantastic. The whole staff welcomed me when I walked in and everyone was friendly.

They went over pricing before beginning, only downside is the prices are relatively high.edit to add: after getting home, discovered my that the shirts I wrote were distroyed during the service. they are now unwearable. not what you expect after spending $200. they did make the situation right by paying for damages.

I dunno what the issue was I was really excited to have this store open near me. I don’t know if it’s because I just got off work and I’m looking a little dumpy but not a single person came and asked if I needed any help or anything... I noticed one worker offer the woman behind me some special coupon ask her on two separate occasions if she needed any help and nope completely ignored me... I saw her peaking at me from around the corner but never said a word... I would think if someone walks in without any makeup on it’s the perfect opportunity to talk about makeup and everything. Sorry I was so put off I’ll just buy online or go to sephora where everyone is actually friendly and helpful. Will NOT be back.

I was so excited to have an Ulta closer to me. However, I had my first (& last) visit to this store on the evening of 4/12 to pick up a styling tool. The store was understaffed and the employees while very nice, were not knowledgeable at all. Sale tags that were out of date by almost a week hadn’t been removed. The manager was extremely rude, not only to me, but also to other employees in front of customers. I will just drive the few extra miles to the Harbison location from now on.

Went into ulta in Lexington this past weekend. To begin with when I got there I already knew what I needed and headed straight for the product. Well one was in stock and on the shelf the other was not on the shelf so I had to wander around the store to try and find an employee. Well unfortunately I encountered Priscilla which had a horrible attitude and acted like she didnt want to have to be the one to help. Well she walks with me to the product and proceeds to tell me they dont make the color I need which Ive been wearing this color for 3 years now. She refused to open any drawers to check if it was in there like many others have done before. She claimed they stock first thing in the morning and if its not on the shelf they dont have it. She clearly does not like her job.

So excited to have this in Lexington! I got color matched for a new foundation and am beyond pleased.

Today, I experienced the same thing that I have experienced so many other times in my life. You think that just because the years change and people become more tolerable that they change the way that they view the world and the people in it, but they dont. A friend and I visited ULTA today thinking that maybe we would purchase something for skin care or maybe even some perfume, throughout our visit no one helped Also we had one person do a drive-by hey, that means they said hello just in passing and kept going. We walked around the store all through the store for about 20 to 25 minutes trying different products on by ourselves with no one to help guide or suggest products to us. Other than that one person who did a drive-by hey no one asked us if we needed any help or assistance no one even acknowledged that we were there even though multiple associates passed by us. Finally, as we moved closer to the door to leave the store and associate named Kristan asked us if we were doing OK. Out of everyone in that store that works there, Kristan is the only one who had the common decency to ask to regular human beings if they needed help. I did not mention in this story that I was black but Im sure from how the story went it was an assumption that could be made from this experience. I spoke with the manager, she sounded disappointed and informed us that she would fix the situation and inform her employees to help everyone. Im not sure whether she did that or not but I know from my experience today in ULTA that I will not be going back to ULTA again.Some words of advice, you never know who could be a secret shopper so treat every customer like they could be.

My review is for the Salon girls, Katie, Shiloh and Anne (I really hope Im spelling their names right). I called yesterday around 2:00 p.m. as a Valentines date emergency! Basically, last minute my husband told me he made Valentines reservations, and I would need to wear my little black dress. I tried to curl my hair at home, which quickly turned into a nightmare. So I tried to straighten my hair, which resulted in a huge umph of volume in my hair, and my bangs werent behaving. I didnt look good enough to leave in blue jeans, so I knew it wasnt going to cut it in a little black dress. I called and asked if they could throw a french braid in my hair and they set me an appt for 3:30. I made it by 2:30. Did I mention I had my 14 month old son with me? I also asked if they could throw curls in my hair last minute. I was a total disaster. Here is where is gets good! These girls are the DEFINITION of team work. Shiloh started on my hair, even though I was an hr early, she did the french braid. And Anne washed her appts perm out for her. Shiloh returned to her customer, and Anne worked on my curls. Meanwhile, Katie held and played with my 14 month old son almost the whole time. When an appt showed up for Anne, Katie handed me my son, and she finished my curls! My hairstyle was adorable, and the three of them worked on the vision together to complete it, and balanced me between that appts they already had for the day, WHILE babysitting! I could not thank the ladies enough. I will be back to get some major color repair done from a bad hair color job I suffered at another salon. Thanks ladies!

Now my mom has a busy work schedule and the lady doing here hair said she would come in at 10 A.M (here only available time) on her day off to finish it up Not if thats it not commitment and customer service at its finest idk what it.
