First time to this cafe.Very welcoming and polite staff.Very clean and tidy.I had the Full English Breakfast which was lovely. Very accommodating with a few substitutions.My wife also had the breakfast, and was able to select Gluten Free options (Sausages, Hash Browns and Toast)My son had the pancakes. This is a MUST for next time!

We had the most amazing breakfast this morning!! You can dine in, sit outside or take away. There is a fantastic varied menu and so everyone was catered for. Most importantly the food was absolutely delicious (as was the coffee) and it was excellent value for money. A fantastic addition to our local area. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting again 😋

This mornings poached eggs were not enjoyable at all! Asked for poached eggs on muffins & no hollandaise but tomatoes instead eggs were hard they changed it the tomatoes came 5minslater cold when I queried whether they should be hot Id nearly finished & hot ones arrived 1. Not a good experience today ones arrived! after

Independent coffee / breakfast cafe how it should be. Good food, Lovely smiling servers and fresh pastry & bread. Must try the spicy potatoes which come with the english breakfast.

Really great place, with something for everybody.A great and welcoming place, that we really needed around this area.Good quality ingredients at a very reasonable price.If you are not into their tasty full breakfasts, they have plenty of other sandwiches and cakes to choose from. Great for takeaway too.Plenty of seating inside and outside, just became my favorite place.

Great Double Espresso best in Reading, and GREAT selection on the menu. Really Friendly Staff who allways treat ever costomer as a guest .Good covered area outside. Give it a try Im sure you will like it.

Had a lovely lunch on 22nd April. Staff very friendly and efficient. 2 HUGE baguettes which were very tasty and beautifully presented and 2 lattes.Would definitely recommend and hope yo visit again very soon

Great coffee and the owner deserves some praise for all of his effort in making the best of the outside area.

We enjoyed our first experience at The Avenue Deli. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cafe is light and airy, and very clean and decorated very nicely. I had a prawn mayo sandwich and a mug if breakfast tea, and my other half had a Standard breakfast and a latte coffee. The food was presented very quickly, and we were asked if we were happy with the food. This isnt a cheap greasy spoon cafe, but a delightfully pleasant and friendly eatery. There are half a dozen parking spaces outside the row of shops, and when the weather is good, the cafe also has tables outside. I recommend a visit to The Avenue Deli, Royal Avenue, Tilehurst.

Had delivery for lunch and the food was really good well packaged and the kids meals was great . Also great portion sizes baguettes was lovely . Would order again

First time there. We had a lovely breakfast today. There is a plenty of choice and our breakfast was made with quality ingredients. Peaceful place to relax. I love their caramel latte My new favourite place!!

I had heard good things about Avenue Deli and fancied a “ proper” coffee to enjoy on a little drive. My hubby and daughter ordered 3 takeaway coffees and a Carrot Cupcake. Staff were very friendly and chatty. Place spotless. Coffee very good ! Cake was delicious ! I didn’t realise at the time that cakes are supplied locally by C is For Cake. Their cakes are always amazing . This place is on to a winner if it continues with the service and cake supplier long term . Highly recommend 🌟

Visited the deli earlier today and... I absolutely loved it! Food is delicious; appreciated a selection of vegetarian and vegan choices of both savoury and sweet dishes/ cakes. Very nice coffee and an excellent customer service. Well definitely be brunching there again, and soon 🤤 would highly recommend it.

Nice deli, nice cake, would recommend for take out, , but shame the parking is an issue as a bus clipped my car mirror and the people who do park outside seem to not care how they park or where they park, the other day a gentleman reversed into a ladys car opposite, ok only a scratch on her car by the looks of things she was parked up in a grey people carrier getting her young child out and looks liked she lived opposite and the gentleman never stopped and drove off ,, but personally the deli is good ,

Charming staff and great venue! I would recommend having the funky breakfast and you have to try the cupcakes! They were lovely!From the cyclist guys!
