I recently visited this buildabear and it was truly amazing. My youngest daughter recently passed away and we wanted to make a bear in her memory. Kristin was the employee helping us, she was so understanding as my family and I cried and put our hearts in. She made this moment special and healing. If you’ve lost a love one and plan on going to buildabear, request kristin!

Does anyone work here? We have called multiple times and no answer. We even showed up twice and the place was locked with the lights off. Very disappointing to an extremely excited 2 year old! Please let me know how to get ahold of this business.

My experience was AMAZING!!! I loved my build a bears, there is one major recommendation, which is to get the poop emoji hoodie for your build a bear, this was really great except for a few things over price. For example a wedding dress was ON SALE for 25 dollars, but other than a little over priced it was pretty good.

7/18 I spoke with someone in Lunch Box ( across the aisle). I am from out of town. they said they have had staffing issues and was open Friday and Saturday. I was there a few minutes after 12 phone ringing off hook no one there. So I suggest not wasting time

I have decided to change from 5 star to 1. The last month I have tried to get in. We have several bears that need maintenance and we are stuck without a funçtioning store.

Sign showing store hours and website hours are not correct. No one ever answers phone. Drive 45 mins because website FINALLY said they were open only to have a crying child because store was closed. Mall office could not tell us anything because “they never knew when it would be open either”. Huge waste of time and effort!!!

Closed on a standard business day. Disappointed child with not another store open less than three hours away. Pigon Forge is closed also in the middle of the day.

Was really disappointed today! Drove from Kentucky and the store was closed even though it showed it was open and during store hours online. Next trip we will be going to another location.

For the last 14 years, my oldest has received a gift card to use at build-a-bear from his grandmother. I now have a 1 year old and the same thing applied. We went yesterday and picked his out. He chose the 2 sharks. I tried showing him different ones, and he turned his nose up to them. We went over to get them stuffed and my oldest stepped on the pedal as the baby cant quite walk yet. Both boys had a heart and I helped the baby activate it. He just giggled. Then we washed them, but the dryer noise kind of scared him, so we went and named them. One is MC Hammerhead and the other is Jaws.

I bought at least 27 build a bears from about 2002-2010 & I colored all the boxes they came with them,for my granddaughters. Enjoyed going there with them & buying outfits for them. Still have about 10 stored away in my cedar chest-For their children! Plan on going there again,but after Christmas.

Ive been to this location twice in the past two weeks and both time, the hours listed say open. Theyre most definitely not open. It is making me increasingly frustrated. Just change the hours to reflect your actual hours, its not hard. This is super infuriating.

Employee was eager to help, but didnt understand that my child is shy. The animals available were limited. Overall, great place.

I went around christmas.. the lady at the door was literally screaming at everyone saying do not touch anything. like chill, just put signs up or something, do you think people cant read? as soon as you enter all it is is being screamed right in your face. i walked out immediately. like no body cares about covid that bad except you. people come to make a stuffed animal that is all. i dont think it was very appropriate as this store is also an attraction to little kids and they or nobody else comes to da** build a bear to get yelled at. i wish i would have said something.

Adorable shop for kids of all ages. Great variety. Kids always love their build a bear.

Sales lady was super sweet and extremely helpful. She didnt even think it was weird when my 17 yr old started jumping up and down like a 5 yr old when I told her she could get one too!

Went to the mall specifically to go here and they were closed at 4:30 on a Monday. For why?!?

I am not embarrassed to admit Im a grown adult and I play Pokémon. We have collected every Pokémon that build a bear sells and always look forward to the next one to be released. Build a bear is so much fun. We even dressed a Pikachu in batman garb to sit in our batman-themed car for car shows. Build a bear always has friendly staff and prices arent bad, especially if you join the club for coupons.

Ive been to 2 build a bears. Both of their times were wrong. We drove out of our way to go, and it wasnt even open.

You should really consider updating your store hours online to reflect that you’re closed. We brought our daughter to the mall today on her birthday to use her gift certificate and you’re closed with no explanation. We checked multiple times online to be sure you were open. Very disappointing.

Wasnt to thrilled because of covid. The magical experience just wasnt there.

Brought 3 girls in to build bears. The staff was more than welcoming to them and answered all their questions in a way that made them feel special. Had everything well stocked and organized for the girls to be able to find everything they wanted easily. The birth certificates were a nice touch, the girls loved that. Will definitely be bringing them back.

We have been coming here for over 19years making our bears and every year the staff is always always extremely helpful, friendly, and kind to my kids n myself. We always look forward to coming in and making our new babies

The staff was great on communicating with my two year old even though he didn’t quite understand some of the stuff they kept him engaged and gave him the experience we expected! Pricing wasn’t near what i thought it would be. Overall we were completely satisfied!

My friend, Rhonda, and I were in a hurry to replace a special stuffed animal Rhonda’s nephew, Dakota, had literally ‘loved to pieces.’ His original cat was so worn it’s tail had fallen off and had been replaced by a shoe string! Definitely time to replace this much loved kitty. We got word on Thursday afternoon that a very ill Dakota was being transferred from a Knoxville hospital to Vanderbilt in just a few hours and suddenly time was short. We arrived at Build-A-Bear in a near panic to recreate this feline masterpiece with all the features of the original. That is when Circe, Andy and Shannon each scattered in different directions to ensure we got everything we needed as quickly as possible. These ladies went above anything we expected. Andy even lent her voice for the recorded message inside the cat to make it as close to the original as possible! Thanks to them we were able to make it to the hospital with time to spare to deliver a brand new cat to a delighted Dakota! His new friend even rode in the ambulance with him to Vanderbilt! We are thankful for our new friends at Build-A-Bear who made it possible!

A place that just makes you feel happy

It was my first time in the store.. I was building my grandson a Birthday present. It was a cool experience.. staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the experience, and would recommend this store to anyone looking to create a special gift.

We were in Build a Bear Knoxville location at the last minute and were rushing to find 2 bears for our kids. Well they picked what we thought was a 2 for $35 and my daughter got an outfit. Going up to the register our total was almost $70 😯 We come in here quite frequently and the collection of paw patrol that was apart of the 2 for $35 had changed. We were simply just going to come back today to let the kids pick out a bear from the collection of 2 for $35. The nice gentleman at the counter took $7 dollars Off one and $14 off another and I still got to use my $10 coupon. Our total was $38 and some change. He did that favor which we consider a blessing for customer satisfaction! He was very kind and my kind did were very happy 😊 Thank you and we will be returning as always bc it’s our favorite store in the mall 💗 ( well at least my kiddos)

I drove an hour to this location to make a few bears with my friends and family and I got there and it was closed! I was so embarrassed by bringing my family all that way just to find out it was closed. So I wasted their time and mine. I checked the hours on the website, google and social media and they all said the location was open. There was no explanation on the doors or windows on why they were closed. I can’t believe I drove an hour for this place. I will never plan a trip to come to this location again.

Everybody that works at Build A Bear is absolutely wonderful. They are always kind and helpful you couldn’t ask for a better experience. They make the adoption process such a joy.

We took our daughter in yesterday, for her Birthday Bear. Your employee Tyler was really, really sweet, interactive, and friendly. He made our visit awesome. He also knew our daughters name, Avalon, came from King Arthur, so major points for that lol. Anyhow, he did a cute little birthday ceremony with her and she loved it. And whoever the girl was that was working the other machine was really good with her guests too. Thanks yall!

I went to here for Mothers Day. My daughter took me and we had a wonderful time and build something together. It was a time that I will never forget. I highly recommend doing it with a friend or in a group.

The bear was great but I paid $6 for a pink hair dryer, pulled the tab in the store and the battery, watch batteries at that, went dead within 20 minutes. I didnt have watch batteries handy but I DID have a really upset 3 year old! I just assumed that for 6 dollars the batteries would have lasted longer

Held a 7 year olds birthday party here. It was so fun! The staff, and Andy specifically, were absolutely wonderful, patient, helpful, and ready to have fun with the kids. I would definitely recommend them for an easy, memorable birthday party.

My kids love this place we usually only go on a holiday if theres something extra cute or black Friday. We had gift cards so went to get clothes. We always check the clearance rack first. Almost everything is really cute, but sometimes the prices are a little high.

They were friendly and helpful, I just wish they had more of the animals my girls like in the store instead of exclusively online... Or at least they should offer the free ship-to-store since we like going there to stuff them anyways

This place is great for the kids and sometimes u can catch great deals u can build any bear u want thats for sure its an awesome place the staff is really great they are real friendly u cant beat it and its the only on in Knoxville that I no of I love taken my daughter here the smile it puts on her face u cant beat that check them out

James at build-a-bear in West Town was absolutely amazing and immersive in the bear creating process. Would recommend to anyone with children or an SO. James was so polite, professional, and kind. 10/10

We had our daughters 7th birthday party here and it was the best party shes ever had. Andy at the West Town Mall store was sweet, fun and interactive with the girls. She made the whole thing so much fun for them. I didnt know what to expect but the party was filled with cute games, dancing and making our daughter feel so special. The kids LOVED getting to make a stuffed animal to take home (and it was better than a goodie bag full of dime store junk theyd throw away in a few days anyway) and all the moms told me how excited their kids had been all week about the party. The store offers multiple party packages so you can find one that fits your budget. We chose the one where they got to pick an animal and an outfit and spent almost half what we would have paid to have the party at one of the trampoline parks or something similar. I cant recommend this store enough if youre looking for a new party idea that your kids will love!

Small store, not enough stuffed animals to choose from and the employees seemed to all be in a grumpy mood. They did have a clean store, so thats going for them. However, I will be spending my money at a different build-a-bear location.

Pay Your Age Day handled terribly. Poor planning for such a large event. Waited more than four hours only to be told they were out of most everything and to be handed a coupon. They needed to either just email club members the coupons or send workers down the line to hand them out instead of making people wait to get to the door. Or why not just send club members coupons on birthdays with the same deal instead of making everyone rush in on one day! They had to have know that inventory wouldnt support this. This is going to hurt their image more than help.
