Usually discount places or surplus stores have lackluster customer service but not here. The staff was helpful trying to help us locate an out of stock item, including calling other area stores for us. When it did get in, they were beyond helpful in getting the 300lb items loaded and secured.

I like the healthy snacks/foods. We like shopping there at least once a week.

Even though tax free weekend didnt apply to much in this store, still have great prices to get what you need...new sofa and loveseat, yay!

People are very friendly. They always try to help. I pretty much know what Im looking for when I go there so I usually get what I want. Go and enjoy 😉.

This is a good place for outdoor furniture. There are some grocery items that are well priced. If you havent visited here, its worth a try.

It was very clean nothing setting in the isles. Everything had a place. The staff were friendly and very helpful and knew what they were talking about talking.

The south knox store has been out of box springs for a long time. I had to go to west knox to get them. The south knox furniture dept never has more than one employee working in furniture. It takes forever to get help. The same is also true at the front, one person running a register and customers lined up to pay

Big lots used to sell drop cloths and I went today and they dont have any, they used to have a lot bigger selection and now its very small.

Big lots, always big lots. My 12 year old son wanted a stress ball, is how theyre labeled according to him. He squeezed it when he got in the truck and it exploded and splattered a substance, much to the color, texture, and smell of glue. It covered windows, door, seat, his clothes, and in cracks where glass is on dash and door. I have cleaned on the mess 3 times and its still a gooey, horrible odor, impossible to get out of places, mess. I am certain no one will care, but be warned. Merry Christmas

Great prices but this stores furniture sales rep Irish..thats his name has a attitude problem. Asked for them to apply a veterans discount on my purchase and he said they didnt to those anymore, when the paper in front of him literally said ends on 10/31/20. The date by the way was the 29th. Then he proceeded to say under his mask to my wife, if you got something to say say it to my face after she walked away. I asked him excuse me is their a problem, in which he remained silent and then walked away.

Awesome customer service! Irish was amazing and super helpful in the purchase of a couch! He went above and beyond and is a great asset to the store!

We were treated like idiots. Went to buy some shelving, and saw a great price on a larger unit that seemed too good to be true. Brought up the item, rang up at a higher price. We went back to check the tag, matched the numbers and the name; they were exactly the same. It was NOT a misplaced item or tag.We take the tag and item up. Show that its the same name/id and they half-lie to us and say theres an extra number at the end, so they dont match. Technically, there is, but its a standard 0, as most tags have.Heres the deal: Mistakes happen, I get that. If they would have just said we screwed up, we cant sell it to you for this price, but we apologize, that would have been enough. But to lie and treat us like idiots?It sucks because when I walked in, I was complimenting the new layout and saying how nice the updates looked. Unfortunately I wont be returning due to poor customer service. For what its worth, the cashier that was there and a few others Ive had ring me up have been nice enough, but apparently the managers arent so great.

Store has changed. Found what I wanted but seems a little more expensive.

Former employee here.The warehouse employees always mishandle and break the boxed furniture. They have to clock in at 3:30am to unload the trucks and arent paid enough or awake enough at that hour to care if stuff gets damaged. No extra compensation for working those hours.The assistant manager Sherry is openly hostile to customers if shes having a bad day (which is most days frankly).Store manager Debra hardly does anything useful and is sitting in her office chatting for most of her shift.The Home department manager Wanza is extremely impatient and treats everyone like theyre a part of her family, which is to say shes loud and obnoxious to everyone.The bathrooms are not regularly cleaned.One time while I worked there a man had his car stolen in the parking lot. Left his keys in the ignition, ran in for a moment, someone jumped into his car and took off. A lot of the customer/employee base is made up of government-welfare-dependent types. Better to buy your stuff online, maybe vote for Bernie or Yang so you wont have to see these people.

The most organized and cleanest Big Lots Store I have ever see. They had really nice items. I was in a rush, but I do want to go back and take my time to look through the entire store.

Told us they had a couch in stock, they did not. Referred us to another near by big lots saying they had 4 in stock, went there, they did not. Would not sell floor model. Literal have money burning a hole in my pocket and they won’t take it. Bummer. Found something like it cheaper on Wayfair anyway. Why would I NOT buy from Wayfair if y’all don’t keep your items stocked and charge $100 for delivery.....

Ive been a Big Lots shopper for years, and sung their praises many times, but no more. I bought a special order mattress during their last sale at tax time, and was told that it would be ready to be picked up in 10-14 days. On day 14, when I still hadnt heard from them about my mattress being ready to pick up, I called them. Ill go ahead and warn you now, they dont return phone calls, and they arent concerned about your shopping experience with them. Not only did they never get my mattress in stock, but after 23 days of waiting and innumerable phone calls, I was repeatedly lied to by the store managers. First they told me that they were waiting to hear from the rep to find out where my mattress was, and then they tried to tell me that the ENTIRE Serta customer service department went on vacation (during tax week, mind you, which was an outright lie), and wouldnt be back until the following week. Both store managers that I spoke with were downright rude. Deborah Norris, the general manager, was not only rude and haughty with me, but basically told me that there was absolutely nothing she could do to help me. When I had finally had enough of the lies and the runaround, and I went back to get a refund, the other manager tried to tell me they were going to charge me a restocking fee of 10% for it being a special order. (That didnt go well for her!) They *still* had no idea where my mattress was, or when theyd ever get it. Needless to say, I wont be going back, and they will no longer be a store where I shop. This is the absolute worst service Ive ever had anywhere.

I like most of their prices but not too crazy about the layout of this store. I liked the old way better. Yet they do have excellent customer service, which makes up for my dislikes.

Theyve changed up the store and improved the look. The products are easy to find, tidy, and stocked. The staff at this location is always pleasant and helpful.

Inexpensive for toiletries. Found a good qualty Remington battery operated shaver for $15. Shampoo is good price too. I always find a bargain here.

Ordered something over an hour ago and when I called to ask about it I was told that they never went to the back to see if they actually had it in stock when their website said they did. Basically ignored me because they dont do pick up orders after 5:00pm. Rude and bad customer service.

It is surly surprising finding the great deals at Big Lots! I have friends that furnish their homes from this store and have all positive experiences. The quality IS first class with prices THAT cannot be best, think we should pay them a visit, dont you?

BOUGHT A BED BEG INFESTED COUCH FROM THEM. MANAGER WAS ABSOLUTELY NO HELP AND ONLY OFFERED FOR ME TO RETURN THE COUCH. HOW DOES THAT FIX MY BED BUG INFESTATION AND ALL THE FURNITURE I HAVE TO THROW OUT. BUYER BEWARE.

Awful customer service, messed up an entire order and we spent more taking care of their mess up than the discount afforded. Rude employees and manager to boot. Will go anywhere other than here in the future. Would leave 0 stars if possible.

We were told.l a high dollar item was in stock over phone. Arrive and cant find it and no employees on the floor. Manager says its not in stock but I saw on computer that it was when he looked it up (3 in stock). We stand in line for over 5 minutes to buy a light bulb and the register guy says they wont serve us as they are closing the line after the current customer they have. Worst experience ever. Should have a 0 star option.

Store 4 stars: They had the item I was looking for. Check out 1 star: Could have been better. One lane open when I walked up, 4th person in line. New lane opened and the lady didnt turn on a light or say she was there so the five people behind me ran into that lane rather than her asking for who was next. I had to wait and the lady in front of me, who was waiting behind the two with full buggies in our lane, had to wait. She had two items and I had one. Unfortunate situation from the cashier and those discourteous people behind us.

Horrible customer service. They sold us furniture without the hardware to set it up and were not helpful in trying to get us the hardware that was supposed to be included. After spending two days calling around trying to get the hardware, I have to wait a week for it to be shipped to me. Not one person I spoke to apologized for selling me an incomplete item. This is a huge inconvenience and has wasted much of my time. Being a business owner myself, I understand the importance of customer service and fixing a mess that an employee created. I am very disappointed that Big Lots did not simply send me a rushed shipment of items missing from my purchase. I hope they fix this problem moving forward.

My husband works for this place and I am not happy on the way he gets treated! I was having a seziure and my mother in law calls him to let him know. The manager that day told him that cause his wife was having a seziure didnt mean he had the right to leave! (REALLY)!! My husband has had so many costumers come back asking for him cause he cares about his costumers and job. Managers are not nice to the ones that do want to work. If they took care of there workers maybe they could keep the good workers.

Great customer service and helped me tremendously.Bouggt a few things that needed to be delivered .One was a bed for the guest room and the other was a living room set .I moved from Sc to Tennessee and needed it the day I moved which was the day I purchased it .Awesome job to both I will visit plenty.If there were more stars to give I would.I seen most reviews were old and kinda scary.Do yourself a favor visit now and re-review great job to all.Thanks Jerry
