There was 65 years of accumulation and my mother was a huge collector and hoarder.After my removing all the family’s personal items the crew took care of the rest- there is no way I could have.The house auctioned off at a much higher price than expected and M&M Title company who handled the closing was also amazing!I would highly recommend this company!

Howard is a great man. Might want to look at a few right below you. It use to be you were respected even by the upper management not anymore. Thank goodness for some nice ladies in the company, because the men think they are beyond being held for responsibility.

In my experience, Powell Auction is the fairest, most ethical and honest group with whom I have ever worked. Their listings/photographs/descriptions are accurate and they readily supply more information when requested. I have always been able to inspect the items prior to bidding, and have received every item for which I placed the winning bid. Their scheduling for item pick up is easy to use, and they work hard to keep to the pick up schedule so their customers aren’t stuck waiting in long lines when they come to collect their items. On the two occasions when unexpected circumstances prevented me from retrieving my items when I had planned, Powell Auction was very kind and graciously worked with me to make alternate arrangements. I bid on an inexpensive item and after winning the bid I was notified that I had to schedule a time to pick it up at the estate. I scheduled the pick up time for 2 days from the auction date and received a confirmation. Then a day later I am contacted by a shipping company who told me they were told to pick up item to ship. I told them I had scheduled a pick up time to do myself but he said they now had the item and the shipping price would be around $60. The item was $6. He said I could pick up the item at his business if I didn’t want them to ship it even though the company was even further from where I live. I called Powell auction company and was told that because the address I had on file was Virginia they assumed I would want the item shipped. The auction had clear instructions that it would be a pick up only and there would be no shipping available. I didn’t understand why my item would be sent to another company before I was contacted. They did say they would pay the shipping company for the $10 packing bill. This was not a smooth experience and I recommend everyone update your address if you have moved since registration..

This company messed up the shipping address of my auction item and refused to communicate after I asked for a resolution. I sent multiple emails and provided ample time for them to rectify their problem, yet they refused to reach out with a solution. Will not be purchasing from them again.

This was my first ever auction purchase from Powell Auction. The transaction and pickup went smoothly. However, some of the items in the lot werent in good condition.

We even bought our kitchen cabinets there. Save a ton.Most were great bargains some were not.Its up to you to inspect the item and make sure it’s what you want and don’t pay to much.Any problems I have they have done the best to make right.Powell Auction is fun, but you got to be careful that you don’t get to caught up in bidding or you will pay to much. Really quite straight forward. The pickup window is tight, so make sure you plan for that. Staff was very helpful with loading a quite bulky item.

As I pondered through all their coin and currency and jewelry selected items I noticed that the selections were very nice and I wished I could win them all but I picked out e selected few that caught my eye and after I won the auction professionals were very nice and real easy to deal with and they sent my items to me real fast actually they shipped them out to me the very next day and like three days later I had my coins and items in my hand in my possession and they all were very nice and I sure do appreciate Powells auction for even giving me the chance to bid on all their items. The auction was run very efficiently with both in person and internet bidders. These folks know what they are doing! When I was finished, I was able to collect my items, checkout and leave in a very timely manner. I will use Powell Auctions again!

Did not realize I was going to be out of town getting medical procedure. When I called to tell them I would not be able to pick up and please ship my item they asked if I would like for them to hold the item until I got back at end of week to save shipping charges. Nice people to deal with. Please dont bid so I can get some more stuff.

My medical bills have grown insane so I try to make a few extra dollars selling on line.On internet 2 years ago I found POWELL AUCTION and since then they have become my #1 choice to find great buys. Their service is impeccable , I can always depend on them for clarification and they are totally honest on descriptions. All of the employees are helpful but my go to guy DAVE has been so helpful, I feel like family. I am not a happy person the car that I bought for $2500 would not even make it 2 miles it was fixed just enough to get off the lot and of course about as is so there’s nothing I can do about it but I will never come to another Powell auction again and I will certainly tell all my friends. When we ask about driving it before we bought it we were told no we could not do a test drive how to get a test drive I would’ve gone you know the 2 miles that I would normally go and I would’ve known this car was busy

Dont buy online without inspection. I bought what was represented as an emerald ring. Looked legit in pics,b when i got it its quite obviously a green glass fake. I had seen other items which said costume jewelry or green stone so i thought this would be real. It was supposed to be my Christmas present this year.Im glad its mine and i didnt buy it for someone else so im the only one disappointed. Live and learn i guess just look before you buy and dont go by what it says. I thought they were experienced auctioneers and represented these pieces truthfully but you have to go by what you observe not what it says. No more online auctions.
