Its an AWESOME and much needed addition to the KCMO beauty supply scene!!! Its huge, very spacious and clean. Lots of room to walk around and browse. It was my first visit and I will return. I will make it my favorite place, to shop and buy my beauty supplies.I liked the environment. I especially liked the owner, who was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Service with a SMILE!!!

So I went in Unique Beauty looking for a head scarf. I found about one hundred! Seriously they have tons of scarves every color every design. I was overwhelmed but thats my fault if Im offered too many things my brain shuts off! They also had tons of hair products in general and this is a huge store! My head was spinning this is the biggest hair or beauty store Ive been in. The price wasnt so bad cheaper than Walgreens maybe even Walmart and ofcourse not the crowd that Walmart offers. However I did notice that not a single worker greeted me! Not one, and I ran into 3. The cashier was speaking another language with I assume was her husband so she never really acknowledged me. She had a total different conversation in another language with someone other than her customer. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️. This is not to criticize her we get caught up with different issues but I feel itd important that we see the more important issues. This lady would have had plenty of time to speak with the other man after I left as no one was behind me, so why not give your customer your undivided attention? So although I found what I was looking for and even more I wont return because the atmosphere wasnt as friendly or appreciative as Im use to at other stores.

I needed to exchange some items and it was no problem. I called in advanced to discuss that I had a receipt which was approximately a couple of weeks old. They told me to come on in.Unique offers a wide variety of hair care products, hair extensions, weaves, wigs, clothing and many other items which would surprise you and be to your liking.I drive a few miles (from the Northland to South KC) to this location because the owner is well known, cool with the customers and is up on the trends. If he doesnt carry it, usually I rarely see it anywhere else. Reasonably priced, clean and helpful staff.

I bought this wig for $300+ !!! It’s posed to be 100% human hair and this happened after one wear and a wash!!!! This place is a joke and I wouldn’t spend another dime here

When I went in that was my first time going in the store since they moved and I love it its really big they play really good music the atmosphere is nice and they have a lot of different the supplies that I need to make wigs and other options they have clothes and all sorts of hair pretty good I love this store

EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!! Bought a wig & a couple days later I called the store to see about the return policy just in case. I was VERY clear with the young lady that I bought a WIG. She said I had 7 days to return it & since I bought a WIG, make sure I kept the tags on it & return it in the original package & of course not worn. I said no problem, I hadnt worn or taken any tags off. So day 5 I called to make sure it was okay that my husband return it for me. All of a sudden the managers attitude was on 100! I called twice (back to back), so he could understand what happened. Both times he was soooo rude! He said there are signs everywhere of no returns/exchanges so you saw it, basically. I explained to him that Im legally blind & was even willing to show proof. Ive never seen 1 sign. So as Im explaining that I spoke to a young lady & was SUPER clear I purchased a WIG, hes steadily talking over me & pretty much told me, too bad. I even told him to at least check with his employees to see who told me the wrong info. I gave him the date & exact time I even spoke to the girl. However, because I needed to return the wig that day, he told me hes not calling anybody because he doesnt talk to anyone on a Sunday! Really?! So hes pretty much screaming at this point so I got a...too bad & oh well. He also stated that I needed to be more careful on what I picked in the first place. I can take the lost on the wig, but respect & kindness is all thats required to a customer I would think!!! I wont EVER go back! It was just that bad. If I could give this review a negative 1000, I would!!Super rude!

Ive been going to this beauty supply store for 6 years. Ive never had any issue and the owner always provides unsolicited discounts or small freebies to his LOYAL customers. I dont understand how anyone has had a bad experience here. Everyone has always been super friendly and helpful. Whomever left a bad review about mistreatment probably initiated the conversation with a bad attitude and got back what they dished out. Contrary to popular belief the customer is not always right.

For months Dave been out of the brand and color of hair I like to buy. I come come in every other week and ask for it. They say theyll order it, but it is never there. They seemed more concerned with selling the unpopular things they already have. Staff was nice though.

They will never receive business from me again nor will I recommend anyone to shop here. Very rude, unprofessional, and horrible customer service. Ive only been there once and was treated unfairly which is extremely unacceptable.
