I love that Office Max & Office Depot are the same company. Their rewards program is really one of the best in the marketplace! Rewards for monthly reviews, ink recycling, and purchases all add up to free things for me 😃 I dont come to this location often but have received good service in the past.

Every time I have gone, it takes FOREVER to get service at the print desk. Even with the manager there! I also did curbside pickup and we waited 10+ minutes in the designated spot and no one ever came. We had checked in. I went inside and multiple employees were just standing around chatting and seemed bothered that I needed my order. Another time, my husband ordered COLORED paper for a print job and I was unaware. They made them on white paper and then charged us $8+ By the time he saw the prints, the store was closed and we had to use what we had. Just no customer service and no attention to detail.

Placed an online order for store pick up on 2/17. Store hours online say they are open. Go to store and the doors are locked! Sign on door is dated dated 2/15 saying they closed for inclement weather and would reopen on the 2/16- that was yesterday! The temperature today is 19- every other business is open.No wonder most people shop at Staples, which is where we ended up going- you know BECAUSE THEY WERE OPEN.

Tried to get in 3 hours before closing time the day before thanksgiving, the doors were shut. Then, someone came to let me in. However, they did not seem to care enough to help me. The manager didnt seem very friendly either. Never again! Train your employees on good customer service.

I came in for an office desk. They had the one I needed in stock and I was able to get it same day. The store associate even loaded it in the back of my truck. He insisted. I obliged. It was simple, yet important transaction, because I was able to construct the desk on my own and put it in my business by close of business, same day. Wish the desks were a little less complicated to install. Less steps would be an admirable move.

I use the print services at least twice a week for my business and every time I get the heavier-set male employee, I have a bad experience. He really needs some more training when it comes to customer service. I’ve personally heard him bad-mouthing management saying he’s overworked and there’s not enough employees working. He’s obviously not happy and he takes it out on customers. I’ve interacted with him a handful of times, if not more, and I leave shaking my head every single time. The female employees at the copy center are extremely pleasant and have great customer service. They’re fabulous every time!Other than the terrible customer service from the guy, the print services are good. A few orders have been screwed up where I get confirmations saying they’re ready but when I get there, they’re not ready. I like the location of this store vs Staples, but I’m sadly going to give my business to Staples from now.

I had seen some discounted markers on their website, but when I went in to the store they were sold out. An employee heard me tell my mom they were sold out and promptly asked what I was looking for. I showed him what I wanted and he found one for me in the back. Excellent customer service. Thanks for the markers.

Normally we have a good experience but today I went in with my nephew who lives in a separate home and the manager assumed because we were black that we lived together and tried to restrict us from buying our own seperate toilet paper. Im highly upset and offended that she had an attitude when I shop in there often and am spending my hard earned money in her store instead of going across the street to Hyvee or Walmart. But its okay because of her attitude and behavior I wont be returning.

Worst experience of my entire life. The manager, Brooke, is absolutely horrendous to both the customers and her staff. She has a fake “customer service” voice that is so clearly not her normal tone, which becomes obvious when she slips out of character and gets snooty. She treats her staff like they are less than human in front of the customers, which is extremely poor customer service as well as just plain bad management. I would recommend she attend obedience school 🐶 as well as learn a couple of things about how to treat other people. She’s screwed up every print order I’ve ever had done there and has never once apologized or offered to do it over, making the excuse that they are short staffed. Seems to me that the reason they are short staffed is because she runs all of her employees off. Go to Staples, it’s right down the street.

Printing service at this location is terrible! Use it at your own risk!Placed an order for posters. Sent file and asked for 3 posters, in color. Went to pick up and when I saw the files, the facial coloring was red. and other colors were off It obviously needed to be changed but the printer did not bother to contact me to to advise of the problem and/or offer solutions. It would have been a simple fix - adjust the tint. Instead I was not aware of the problem until I went to pick up pick up the order. It was a good thing I allowed time before the posters were actually needed. After much discussion with someone making excuses why they couldnt do anything, I leave the order and was told that the printer person would call me. They never called. So I called and discussed with the printer, I told him I would change the photo to be more brown tint and he said that would be okay and he would reprint. I sent all the files again, and when I went to pick up a second time the new posters had not been printed. This is the 3rd time I have had problems with the print service at this location. Their service is awful! They dont care about producing quality!! Even to get a refund or a credit takes them trying to find an order and processing a refund or any type of satisfaction Nothing is simple or easy.!! Very disappointed in their printer service and their print staff.

Well stocked store.But some of the associates could certainly use training.They dont how to apply the rewards number/ coupon if one method fails.Picked up an order few weeks ago and the store is yet to update the status. Led to a lot of confusion with my employer, who wanted me to pick an order that was already picked up.

Review is primarily for the staff - they were very friendly and put up with some off the wall antics from me, as I was exhausted and didnt make my multiple transactions easy. Store itself was fine, nothing stood out either way as good or bad.

We just moved to Kansas City from Pennsylvania. This was our first time in this store. My husband was at the checkout and was having a little trouble. He very obviously was unsure which button to push to bypass debit and go to credit. The checkout girl just stared at him with a smirk, not saying a word. The transaction was denied because he pushed the green button. The second time around I looked the girl straight in the eye and asked her slowly and clearly what button we needed to push. She said in a very condescending way, The red one, there is nothing I can push up here to make your payment be declined. I had to ask her her name because her hair was covering her name tag. My husband is hearing and speach impaired. She just stood there and stared instead of helping someone needing it. I actually am a manager in a retail environment and I would never let one of my cashiers treat a customer in such a way. Lacey needs a little more customer service training.

Came in to look at getting a printer and a chair, but I must have worn my cloak of invisibility, because the sales people didnt even look my way. There were only two other customers in the store, and no one even said hello to me, let alone ask if I needed help with anything. How can you possibly keep a store running if youre not going to engage your clientele? There were literally more employees in the store than customers.I used to work in an OfficeMax, so I know firsthand how much they emphasize engagement with ANY customer browsing tech. No one even spoke to me, despite literally standing feet from me, while leaning against a display in the aisle. Its fairly obvious to me that I was profiled, and they decided I wasnt worth their time. Definitely going to stick to the locations that dont discriminate, from now on.

Terrible service. Anticipate will be the next big chain store to close. Wasted 15+ minutes to drop off for FedEx service. Waiting on one attendant overwhelmed with person ahead of me. No other employees were visible store wide all that time. Just walked away not coming back.

I recently purchased a desk & hutch of which I paid in full. It was to be assembled a week later of which I had made arrangements for some one to be at my home. The night before, I call the store to confirm, and am told the order was cancelled, their computers were down and it showed NON- Payment. No one even tried to call me. I went BACK to the store with all receipts and proof of payment, and was told it would be addressed immediately, they were sorry for mistakes, and inconvenience. I have called the stores 3 times now, and have still not gotten any calls back. I have a desk and hutch in the box un-assembled. The whole transaction has been very unprofessional. I am very disappointed, and will not patronize this business again.

Awful bussiness !I bought a electronic device and went to return it after 10 days . I made the mistake of losing my receipt. So , when I went there the manager tried to find my receipt. She found the receipt once , but couldnt find it again . So she went ahead and said she cant find the ticket and said she could only give me store credit . So your telling me I have to spend my money on your store , because you have an atiquated system and idiotic employees. Just awful !

OfficeMax opens at 8:00am... when I arrived, I was told that the only girl there had only worked at the store for 3 days, everybody else had called in sick and her manager wouldnt be at the store for an hour. I needed to drop off a FedEx package, and I asked if she could make sure that it got to the right place to be shipped out (overnight package). Her response was less than impressive - she doesnt know what shes doing, and she wouldnt touch the package or give any indication she would put any effort in trying to get it to the right place. I understand being new at a job, but the lack of customer service or effort to even try to help me was very frustrating! Training your employees to offer customer service should be #1 on the new hire list. Since I had to get to work and couldnt wait an hour for the manager, I left it on the counter next to the FedEx Ship area. The new employee said I hope it goes out... with no confidence it actually would.

I took my new printer home and it immediately transformed into a small robot speaking cryptic messages about an All Spark? I didnt know what he wanted so I agreed to let him stay. He helped out around the house a bit and was generally kinda of a cool guy to hang with. Eventually he left after complaining about the lack of good transmission oil available in my house... Sad to see him go, but Ill probably go back to this location to find another printer.
