When it first opened they had a duck quesadilla option which was 4 quarter portions enough for 2, but due to being a new place no microwave yet so we ate it cold still was good though if its still avail get it its pricey but very good. havent had chance to try out this place since Im sure its changed since, maybe diff food stuffs. Its fancy nice table decor and salt and pepper shakers, modern table design sit and eat out side on lawn if its nice still or go to loose park enjoy the day put down the dang phones people and relax like we used to u know real socialization.
Delicious coffee, very friendly staff. Its a very nice stop to add to your museum visit.
It smells so good and the patio is fun place to sit and relax before going into the Nelson.
The staff were really nice & helpful & the art was impeccable. I didnt finish my tour but will continue eventually. They do have elevators for ease & non crowding.
Prices were just to high for the lack of quality in their products. Tasted really bad on multiple visits.
Love our Kansas City museum. Best place to go relax and take in the culture. Bring a date and just enjoy each others company for the day in an awesome environment.
Baristas were pleasant, efficient and were able to signal our orders completion in a perfect call while not a yell was clearly discernible over the buzz in the mostly full cafe area. The double espresso and black tea were delicious and artfully prepared. Appreciated chilled water unfortunately served in plastic. The breakfast burrito criss-crossed with panini stripped caramelization was generous in portion and had a well balanced vegetable taste. Filling could have been more cohesive as it could not be dipped cleanly in hot sauce. Service on saucer plates did not seem deliberate.Otherwise this was a memorable clean service in a brilliant modern architecture.14.75 wt
The coffee was ok,but that price for it could come down a notch or 2,its coffee doesnt need to be over rated
Loved the Ever Green Elixir! It made for a refreshing end to our museum visit and kept us warm on the somewhat chilly walk back to our car.The baristas were great and got orders out quickly, despite the line. Im so glad we decided to try Thou Mayest! Definitely recommend 🤩👍
I enjoyed the bowl of chicken and white bean soup.
Ordered hot coffee, and iced chai tea. Got my coffee iced, and the chai tea hot. Wasnt that busy, guess the attendant just spaced out. Expensive mistake to throw my coffee away.
Iced Rosella tea with lavender was a great choice.
I’m not sure if we got a bad batch, but the cold brew had an astringent aftertaste that made it hard to drink at all.
Was closed and locked after 9am yesterday, even though hours online and on the door said open at 8am. Not sure when they are open.
Absolutely brilliant as always. Staff are kind and working hard to keep everyone safe from COVID-19. Im very happy with every visit.
Good coffee. Regretfully out of pastries and no quick snacks.
Very very good and the service was Great.... experience!
Delish iced coffee
So many delicious options to choose from: Coffees, teas and baked goods with gluten free options. Even gluten eaters would enjoy them because of the wonderful flavors and textures.I had a warm chai and gluten free blueberry scone. Both were wonderful treats! I recommend you visit before or after you spend time in the Nelson. Also, just a nice, relaxed place to meet friends.
The young ladies working there were friendly and cool.
While enjoying the fabulous museum this is a great coffee shop! The baristas are extremely talented and take their time to make a wonderful cup! The baked goods are also delicious if that is your orientation :-)
Quay Coffee is a few hundred feet from a KC Streetcar stop. The acme brick exterior stands out with the black, green and cream colored frames around the large picture windows. The acme brick wall continues as the main feature down the right side of the coffee bar where the baristas serve you. The rest of the room is gray. It has a NY loft feel. The walk-in vault with 6 inch steel door is a cool feature. Overall, the place is kind of small, but it does have two larger tables in the back that can handle study groups or work sessions. Otherwise, its mostly seating for small parties closer to 2-3 people. The employees were genuinely nice. They answered our questions about the tea flavors and methods of preparing the coffee. There were 13 of us, so we kind of overwhelmed the place. They handled it with grace and everyone liked their drink.
Great outdoor views from the glass walled cafe. Ample seating for groups or solo visitors. Good selection of coffee, tea and cocoa and seasonal additions to mix things up. Small selection of baked goods, would liked more variety. Inside the museum, easy access.
Beautiful. Delicious. Did I say beautiful? The coffee is outstanding. The setting though... Beautiful. I said that right?
Beautiful art
This place is amazing I have been here for a school field trip for art class as well as I had my son birthday party here. I feel like its impossible to get through this place in one day its more so a two day event especially if you are really interested in art. Ther are so!!! Many different pieces to view. I like the quite laid back atmosphere which this does present. I feel like I still havent seen everything yet and I visited the Nelson Atkinson museum three separate occasions now. 🤣🤣🤣 I will say I see something new everytime I go. Its a great experience if you havent gone yet I say you need to go
Stopped by when in the area with my mother to grab a quick coffee. Excellent quality espresso and the setting in the the back of the art museum was nice. Dont live in KC anymore, but if I did, I would definitely frequent this place.
Awesome! I loved the vanilla iced latte! Very nice staff. Very cool environment. The table i sat at even had an orb on it! So good! I reccomend everyone goes here for the coffee the art and the atmosphere. Until next time!
What a wonderful space and experience! I ordered an iced latte, which was delicious, and the service was quick even though there was a huge line. I love that its in the museum and the big windows give a great view of the front lawn.
Great little coffee shop inside the Nelson Atkins. They have different hours than the museum - open early. They make their own flavored syrup. The iced vanilla latte was delicious!
Though this cafe (fka quay coffee) is technically inside a museum it is a very accessible destination with a free parking lot just to the north. It operates hours independently of the museum itself and has energetic, knowledgeable staff, with as much class and pop as anything youll find in the museum.
Would love if they would offer washable cups for their water. Last time I was there they used disposable plastic. Otherwise great place to get coffee.
Very cool spot! Located inside the museum, grab a cup(or sit at one of the tables) and enjoy! Always enjoy coming here.
Very nice coffee shop. I had a great vanilla latte. Lots of natural light in the cafe area, with tables adjacent to large plate glass windows overlooking the grounds of the museum and KC skyline.
Good coffee, great atmosphere, but is difficult navigate how to order and return your dishes if youve never been there.
I absolutely love coming here cafe is awesome little pricey but definitely worth it
This is a nice coffee shop. I love spending time here before visiting the museum.
Iced latte tasted pretty good and thought coffee had a bold taste. This was my first time, and I certainly think its a cool spot to stop by.
They used to serve alcohol at the one Downtown.
After walking around the Nelson for a few hours, I definitely needed a refreshing pick me up. Quay is located inside the Nelson and I got just what I wanted a tall ice cold cup of cold brew! The baristas were friendly and professional!
Fabulous place.
Enjoyed a chai latte while watching them work on the walking wall right outside the door. How cool is that?
Great view. Best chai tea latte Ive ever had 😊
Great coffee in an even better setting. I have never enjoyed a cappuccino more than I did sitting two feet from Ghibertis Gates of Paradise.
Just a warning, the cold brew is of god tier caffeine strength, I couldnt finish it. Enjoyed the airy atmosphere youd expect from this museum.
I love Quay normally but they didnt have any alternative milk for me so I ended up with tea. There also were no places to sit and or stand and wait for my drink that didnt seem in the way.
Seriously the best cappuccino Ive ever had. Better than Starbucks and the Baristas were very friendly and accomadating.
Great artisanal coffee. The tea carafe is super cute.Excellent mugs.
Oat milk chai, extra hot, with cinnamon is the way to go. Get yourself a rosemary walnut scone while they last.
Great shop very informative
Quay is insanely good in every way! I have yet to encounter a bad barista or received an off drink. I really dig that they are carry many different roasters as well (local and national). Quay is always the first spot we go when we are in the River Market. Go with the espresso or cortado...or order both!
Great service. They can do fancy designs in your coffee also.
Great location, but I did not like the coffee. It tasted like the coffee beans were roasted too much. I felt it was burned.
Barista was super cool. Even though we practically walked in at open and parked where we were not supposed to.
Parking sucks coffee is good. Chorizo burritos could have a little more sodium.
Walked my dog, it was pleasant
The guy making the drinks was really funny! The coffee is great and so is the environment!
Convenient and good
Nice spot for a snack in KC. Wish they had more kinds of muffins.
Art+ambience+espresso. Need I say more?
I am a hot chocolate aficionado and Quays is some of the best Ive had.
I was given a dairy latte after asking for almond milk. I watched the barista pour cream into my drink and tell me it was almond milk. I tasted it and it was milk. He grumbled about making another with actual almond milk which tells me that he doesnt understand the seriousness of food allergies or the fact that restaurants get shut down for doing just this. The experience was so worth it - $11 for two small lattes and a possible allergic reaction.
Wonderful museum coffee shop has Friendly helpful staff in a
Quality coffee in a world class art setting.
This is an excellent addition, nice for a quick bites and beverages
Best place ever the cappuccino was amazing and the pastry was fabulous also the staff are super nice loved the music what a great place

Good food and service
Coffee is pretty good, but the macaroons are even better.
Excellent service 😊 very reasonably priced. 👍
Fantastic coffee and fantastic baristas.
Excellent coffee and other choices.
Great coffee place, espresso was perfect.
I didnt go in I drove a group of people there.
They serve some good coffee.
Cute little shop, good drinks
Great place to meet friends for coffee! Love Quay coffee!!!!
Slow and the coffee was weak. But Im from Seattle.
Get the large cappuccino. Its huge
Good coffee good service
Ice brewed coffee is outstanding
They dont have a great selection and the girl working wasnt just not helpful she was borderline rude.
Great coffee at Nelson and in River Quay locations
Beautifully appointed exhibitions.
Great coffee shop in the Nelson Atkins museum.
