Umm wow, I finally bought coffee here after years of hitting Starbucks and I returned every single day for two weeks. Great tasting espresso, oat milk, friendly staff, quick turnaround on my order. So perfect for work day coffee visit. Thank you for getting me through another school year!

This is one of our FAVORITE places! They have everything! Workers are pleasant and helpful. Atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. Its even better that its located in Brookside that we LOVE!

My mom and I popped in to try The Roasteries Key Lime Cold Brew at the recommendation of a friend. We both enjoyed it and said it reminded us of floating away on an island. I dont know that I can handle it as a daily beverage, but the brew was definitely a refreshing twist and treat from our homegrown coffee shop - Kudos!

Stopped in recently and was pleasantly surprised to find that it actually had a coffee-shop vibe. no heavy-handed post-covid sentiment--thankfully. the place had an open, lively, welcoming feel to it--and, of course, the coffee is good--not to mention a nice selection of pastries. a pleasant experience all the way around. thanks!

I visit this place every time I drive near or through the KC area, even if its an hour detour. I didnt really consider myself a coffee person until I visited here for the first time in 2018. Experiment, try something on the menu you havent before, its all good ☕

I liked my late but my daughters key lime coffee was not very good. Not a good recipe!

They fill online orders first so the waiting time for walk in customers was really long! Otherwise everyone was friendly and coffee was standard roastarie coffee.

Always a pleasure to visit a local business. First time back in too long. Should have gotten a smoothie instead of the featured coffee drink.

Had the crunch and a chocolate scone. Plenty of seating and plugs. Outdoor seating too. Parking in front or a small lot in back. Just as good as the other locations. Good service and very helpful.

Consistently good coffee (maybe the best coffee in the city). Love the neighborhood feel of this location. Haven’t been there much during Covid but can’t wait to go back.

TL;DR: Good tasting coffee, plenty of space, and a good atmosphere to socialize or get work done while enjoying some coffee or pastries.I visited on a Saturday at noon and the store was pretty busy, but likely busier because it was a rainy day. Regardless, there was still plenty of space inside. Electrical outlets line the outer walls of the shop and tables in the center also have plug-ins, making it a great place to work.The shop is fairly noisy (audible music, sounds of the workers making coffee, people chatting), but I prefer a louder and livelier coffee shop, so I enjoyed it.I had the Crunched for Time, a white chocolate macadamia nut latte, which was tasty and a good energy boost. I have also had the Nitro Espresso before, which was good but not amazing. The Strawberry-Banana smoothie was also good. Prices were typical of most coffee shops. See the picture attached for a shot of the menu.Overall, Id recommend giving it a shot if you need some coffee or need a place to get some work done or hang out with friends or a date.

1st time here and I really didnt feel welcomed. The man that took my order did not greet me or anything. But when the white lady behind me ordered, his attitude was completely different. Not sure I will be returning! My drink was good!

Gotta say, incredibly disappointed there seems to be little to no Covid restrictions at the Brookside location. I counted maybe 1 other person besides myself wearing a mask-- everyone in line wore a mask, the employees wore masks, but customers sitting at tables seem to think the virus doesnt exist with a latte in hand. I get it, you take a sip of your latte and you forget to cover up for a conversation- but multiple people didnt even have a mask. They tucked it away in their bags! Some people were waiting for their friends and took their mask off, no drink in sight. Cmon guys.I like the coffee at Roasterie, but it really isnt worth getting sick over. I mean, even the Starbucks a block down closed seating because of this behavior. Step it up, Roasterie! Ill stick to Monarch (or even Starbucks, if Im desperate) from now on.If this is a concern of yours as well, I highly suggest curb side pickup, delivery or skipping entirely

But watched one lady oblivious to the world around her happily typing away on her laptop without ever taking a sip from her likely empty mug... at what I think was a table for 4. Ugh! She was still there when we left. Not Roasteries fault... but something to consider as you plan your travels.

Always incredible coffee -- either prepared there or with their beans taken home. Their milk-free fruit smoothies are also wonderful!

Coffee is excellent! Cafe is filthy!! Dust bunnies on floor, debris on floor, and dust covered furniture legs! Clearly cleaning is a low priority.

Ordered a nitro spice and sat on their patio and watching the wind art spin. Cafe was clean and efficient. Coffee was good but without the full bodiness Id expect from a cold brew - it seemed overshadowed a bit by the chocolate milk.Overall I enjoyed my stay and left happy.

The Roasterie has done a great job of traffic control within the store and cleanliness to keep patrons safe. Having a treat is just that much more special when everyone is so stressed from the virus and economic fallout. Thank you Roasterie for making a safe haven for a treat!

My favorite place for coffee in the city. The Roasterie has an excellent atmosphere, a laid back vibe, and great coffee.This is a pretty regular spot for most of the people in the area, and it has a neighborhood feel to it, for sure. The prices are on par with the larger, less-local chains, and the drinks are even better.With a ton of good seats, great natural light, and multiple outside seating areas, this is a great choice for homework, meetings, or even just to sit back and enjoy Brookside.

We came in and there were two police officers in front of us. We payed for their coffee. After our purchase we were treated terribly. We walked out to leave and it was a downpour outside, we waited by the front door for the rain to let up to leave and were told we had to leave since there wasn’t any tables available and it was a mandate since Covid. We were no where close to anyone. We were not doing anything wrong. I will never go here again. The coffee wasn’t even worth the money. Should have went to Panera!

Great coffee! All staff was wearing masks, but not correctly. It should go over your nose as well as your mouth.EDIT:I sent what I hope was a polite email via their websites contact us page, and they responded that they would take action and followed through. Great atmosphere, great baristas and of course the coffee is always delicious. I love their seasonal drinks, they have something for everyone and are always switching it up so it makes it fun to try whats new. They even have decaf espresso for the pregnant ladies! Highly recommend.

Great spot to work online. They have plugs everywhere. Coffee is good as well. Food items kind of limited, otherwise 5 stars. Used to have a good tuna salad sandwich. I wish they would bring it back.

If youre a coffee junkie this is the place for you, but be prepared for a little higher price. The Roasterie only specializes in the highest qualities of coffee that also benefits the local farmers of South and Central America.....the quality is worth the price. Great atmosphere to study for students as well. Two locations in KC in Leawood and Brookside. I recommend trying the chocolate raspberry croissants.

I love The Roasterie cofee! This location is nice because there is adequate parking nearby, and the Brookside area is just nice to be in in general. Service is always good, and the coffee is delicious with lots of options. There are a ton tables and lots of people talking or working on their laptops.

Pastries available are of very low quality like several bland garden variety donuts. No cakes or fine desserts to speak of. Atmosphere is ok, furnishings are of very poor quality but that is ubiquitous in the US as is the quietly contemptuous and neurotic baristas.

I had a small latte with 2 shots of espresso and it was pretty dang good. Their coffee does not overpower your mouth but its a good classic coffee. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kansas City.

The owner of this business chooses to mock law enforcement for doing their job the same weekend as the funeral of a fallen officer just a hop-skip away. Cheap bastard can’t even update his own car tags on his Tesla for 3 months then bashes cops for doing THIER JOB. These guys put their life on the line for you and LOVE coffee. I hope every single cop and their families stop frequenting any of your cop-hating businesses. I will personally make it a point to tell everyone I know not to frequent this unpatriotic establishment.
