This place is awesome! We are here on vacation and our 4 yo husky decided she was now terrified of stairs despite using them in our house her whole life! She was so afraid she’d wriggle out her harness and bolt down the hotel corridor leading to a crazy game of chase. The shop could not have been more helpful and super kind to the dog helping us choose what to get and ensuring it all worked. We’ll definitely be back!

Houndstooth provided the best level of customer service and recommendation! We were visiting the area with our dogs and did not have the right “snow gear” for our little babies! As you can see from the photo the recommendation of the Paws were spot on, more like balloons but did the trick and the dogs were super happy and didn’t take much for them to get used too. Not only did we get the Paws the owners gave us dog friendly tips for when the weather is warmer, they were so helpful. We will definitely be returning when we are back in Vermont! Thanks

What a great store! Houndstooth is my new “go to” for all of my dog’s needs. In addition to having a great (and super cute) selection, the staff really knows their stuff. I appreciate all of their help in finding the right harness and leash combo. I also love being able to shop virtually when I can’t make it to the store. Plus, OMG dog bow ties!

I went into Houndstooth looking for a sweater for my chihuahua. They were very friendly and it was so easy to find what I wanted. They have a huge selection of dog sweaters, jackets, coats, bananas, and more! They also have a great selection of environmental concious and local brands of treats, toys, and accessories. They had a great selection of the products that I was looking for. Fantastic store!

So grateful for the staff/owners extra effort to get my pups warm coats that fit perfectly. Contacted through the website from NY because the stores here had nothing in stock, but I used to work next door in Burlington and loved this store. They got back to me with options and sizing the next day, on the weekend, and shipped out our coats Monday. Duke recommends the pupcakes there too.

I went for a run today w puppy, Franklin, and my new runnering leash from Houndstooth. What a great product and delivery experience. The leash came w a handwritten note from the owner and a treat as well. Such great service! Will absolutely order again from this shop!

Cute little shop in DT Burlington with great products for pets. You can tell that everything in the store has been carefully chosen to represent thoughtful and ethical companies making goods for our beloved pets. Staff was very friendly and outgoing and eager to educate me about their products. And pets are welcome inside!!

What an amazing store! We were in Burlington for a long weekend and came across this store with our dog. The owner was the nicest man, very welcoming and so helpful. We decided we needed a new harness for our dog and he explained all the different kinds and tried them on our dog! He also had a nice treat for him as we entered! Awesome selection of items and apparel for humans and great selection of many different items for dogs such as leashes, collars, harnesses , toys, home items and more. Will definitely be coming back when we are in the area!

Houndstooth is my go to pet store for my bulldog, Reau. They always have everything I’m looking for/could need for my dog. Debbie is extremely friendly & so helpful & knowledgeable about everything in the store. Reau loves taking weekly trips in there & gets a treat every time. Highly recommend!!
