The atmosphere, selection, quality, quantity and the amazing customer service made my husband start a tradition of us going here every holiday to start it off right with the amazing candles and decor they have!

I love this place. I love the new name (changed from 5b to The Corner Candleshop — owner is the same!). The owner and staff are friendly. The candle scents are lovely. And there is always something seasonal, fun, and adorable to decorate your home or office. I adore my recent purchase of the CUTEST unicorn. I burn the little candles inside it. Highly, highly recommend this place for a pick-me-up or to find a gift for a friend. Far better than any Yankee candle and far better than any you could find at Target.

Can’t say enough good things about this local store. It’s always been the same two woman helping me out when I come in and they are beyond helpful. I highly recommend visiting this store and seeing what they have to offer. I bought their candles and the scents and how long they last definitely beat other more expensive candles. They also offer room sprays specifically for animal odor which works like a charm.

I am very disappointed with the candles since they changed ownership. It looks the same but does not smell the same. I am literally burning 4 votive right now and can barely smell them even in my small apt.And they are overpriced!I will not return

You know, I really do love their scents however their customer service just isnt there which was super disappointing today, as I truly do my best to support local when I can. When it comes to sales of course they are very helpful, but today I came to return a new oil scent I decided to try and wasnt happy with, they told me they dont do returns. Its not even like it was a burned candle - it was oil and I only used 4 tiny drops. This wasnt even my first poor customer experience - it was my second, however, my goal isnt to vent on their yelp page. Hopefully they will read this review and look at other companys who do excel in the customer service and strive to do/be better. Note: This was formerly 5B&Co. Candlemakers and is now The Corner Candleshop and is the same owner, same location, and same product.

I ordered some candles online, and I couldnt be happier with my purchase! The shipping was fast, and I was impressed with the packaging. I highly recommend the Barista scent if youre a coffee lover. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

WOW. I just ordered by first box of assorted votives and I am so happy! I blindly picked out twelve different scents that sounded nice from their adorable website and I love EVERY SINGLE ONE. Im a little light headed from sniffing the whole box twice but dang... Im so excited to burn these in my home!

I cannot say how lucky I consider myself to have stumbled upon this local hidden gem. This cozy little shop is tucked into downtown Brookside, but tucked into a side street across from a decent sized lot for easy parking.The shop is filled with hundreds of candles, in all sizes, as well as seasonal decor. While the plethora of scents can be overwhelming at first entrance, it is easy to distinguish specific scents when you’re looking for the right scents to fill your home. All are beautifully made in-house, and readily labeled. No confusion here!Staff is kind, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. Kelly greeted me immediately and was nearby with suggestions and helpful tips, but not overbearing.The candles are high quality and clean burning. Scents are true to sniff and many are complementary. They have a recycling program that allows you to reuse empty containers again. I look forward to utilizing the program and coming back to the storefront.

5b & Co has the best candles. They make the perfect gift and they have scents for just about any occasion, or stock up on them fo your own use! I keep boxes of scents for each season so I never run out.

I cannot say enough about 5B & CO. As I was trying send a gift during COVID things got mixed up and my package was never delivered. Lori and her staff went above and beyond to work with me, find the package and insure my gift was delivered; they even offered to drive it to the business personally!This is why I will forever support local businesses. One of my favorite KC candle stores. The scents? Amazing. The staff? Friendly. The fact you can also buy online and have fabulous candles delivered to your door? Dangerous. The cappuccino scent is a coffee lovers dream. I always have a backup. The florals and botanicals are like walking into a garden- so fresh and vibrant. Give this shop a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful cozy little shop in Brookside. Warm and inviting, with personal service upon request. Smells like a hundred different versions of a kind of heaven. A little pricey, but most folks know that going in.

A local favorite. This candle store has so many scents to choose from, many are locally inspired. All candles are made in the store and the place smells fantastic. Some of my favorites scents are Cappuccino, Rawhide, Irish Cream, Sun Scorched. While I think the candles themselves are slightly overpriced, I do understand they gotta pay rent in Brookside and that cant be cheap.

I just bought your Grandmas sugar cookies sad to say, but the wick in this candle burned away so quickly that I have a 1 diameter tunnel hole all the way down, was very disappointed in the poor quality, although I did love the scent, too bad the flame was of a smaller than a pea.PS,. I bought your candle at a dollar store for $3, and it wasnt even worth that.
