I had the most amazing experience finding my dream wedding dress at Ricca Sposa. The initial visit of trying on and choosing a dress was very special and private. Lucia was incredibly sweet and did a fantastic job listening to what I wanted in a dress. We had the back room to ourselves and a big couch for all my entourage to sit while I tried on dresses. Lucia was patient and I never felt pressured. I loved supporting a local family owned and operated business and the level of personalized service you get is incomparable to largely run bridal shops. The prices of her dresses were fair, as well as the elective alternations I had done to add sleeves and the quality was top notch. I will mention the beading pattern on my actual dress differed slightly from the sample I tried on in the store but this is because the dresses are made to order (and may I also mention all from European designers), which who wouldn’t want a dress that was all their own?! Ricca Sposa for the win!

Amazing Dress !!First, I want to say that Lucia and her daughter were absolutely AMAZING to work with. My own personal experience was A++ from the moment I walked into the store. Lucia was not only friendly and kind but she was always keeping me up-to-date with my dress. My dress came a couple months before my wedding, and Lucia made sure everything would be ready and perfectly fitted for my big day.I never felt like she was salesy, pushy, or driven by anything other than my comfort and happiness! am so happy I found my dress!

Lucia and Katiana are LOVELY to work with, the gowns are all gorgeous and they make you feel like a queen the entire time you are there. The process here is a bit different than others... after finding your dream dress they take your measurements and the dress is handmade to YOUR figure. I put a couple of add-ons to my dress that really made it feel like a custom design all around. I cant recommend this shop highly enough.

If I could rate 1000 stars I would. When I first discovered Ricca Sposa, I was in shock that Kansas City was lucky to have a unique store that considers all cultures and diversity. They had beautiful European and Middle Eastern styled dresses that I fell in love with. This family owned business is so accommodating to whatever you want in a wedding dress. They do personalized customizations and take in any other requests you have. I bought my wedding dress from here and I personally made customizations. When it comes to to changing the color or adding more sparkles, this is something they CAN and are happy to do. You don’t have to worry about the process of the dress being made, they keep you in the loop the whole time. Whenever they have questions or need anything from you they will let you know. They answer any questions and calm any worries you have, they are the sweetest people I have ever met. They’ve become friends I’m very fond of. They are so easy to work with and if you have an eye on a type of dress that they don’t carry, they will do their best to find you one almost so similar to it. Their work is exquisite and I’m so happy that I had my wedding dress experience at Ricca Sposa.

I loved working with Lucia. She is so sweet! She is so hands on. She was on top of everything with keeping me secure about my wedding from measurement appointments to keeping me updated on the shipping notifications of my dress. I had a wonderful experience at Ricca Sposa bridal. Ladies have been amazing and helped me find my dress in half an hour. They are so knowledgeable and professional. They had the eye for each body and they would pick out the best looking style on you. They answer all my questions, listened to what I wanted and THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ME - THEY DO ALL DRESSES FOR MEASUREMENTS brand new from designer.( I dont need to spend money for alteration because dress would fit me perfect). From the moment we stepped in Lucia was so inviting! And the dresses BEAUTIFUL. I first went in 2017 with my best friend who was getting married in March of 2018. She helped her find create her perfect dress. She also created a custom maid of honor dress for me. That was perfect fitted for my shape. I am a plus size curvy woman so I get skeptical with custom measurements but it was beyond perfect! Just recently I went on drawn by a dress on the website and Lucia(the owner) found a dress I didn’t even know I wanted! I am overjoyed and excited! The team at Ricca Sposa is amazing! Ricca Sposa was a guardian angel in my wedding dress crisis. I ended up getting pregnant and needed a new dress for my wedding and they did everything not only to find me the perfect dress but to make me feel beautiful in it even while knowing I’d be 6 months pregnant. I was searching for a wedding dress within my price range and custom fitted. It’s difficult to obtain one in a shorter time frame with an upcoming wedding but RiccaSposa did a really great job meeting my needs. I had been shopping all over West Michigan and Chicago searching for a dress with no lace, no flower pattern, no Victorian or typical like patterns, and very sparkly. I found the kind of silhouette and style that I liked at other stores but it was either my budget or the pattern of the dress that wasn’t what I could do with. I learned about RiccaSposa through researching dresses online and I found that they had beautiful and unique designs. They are European and modern designs that have a really special look to them. I was able to receive my dress custom designed and shipped right to my door. I was even able to get the dress in another fabric that I really loved. The lady that attended me, texted me over the phone to keep me up to date with everything about my dress. From the measurements, to order and shipping dates, and pricing, and the fabrics and colors of the dress, everything was so professional and individualized to a tea. The designer at the store was lovely and so kind throughout everything. Even though all communication was through text and phone, I enjoyed this experience with this shop much more than any other. RICCA SPOSA was the very first dress shop I went to looking for my wedding dress. It was a recommendation from my hairdresser and one of the first dresses I pinned on Pinterest was from this shop, so the stars were aligned. I fell in love with the very first dress I tried on, but had two other appointments but after going to other bridal shops I knew I had to go back to RICCA SPOSA. Lucia was amazing to work with and listened to everything I wanted in me wedding dress and made my dreams come true!

I first went to Ricca Sposa back in August and absolutely loved all of their unique designs. Lucia was so prompt and nice...I didnt have to wait a minute after my scheduled appointment like some other dress shops I went to. I found two dress that I loved and ultimately went with a form fitting dress that Lucia picked out for me. It was perfect!! There is a dress for any style here. I recently went back in the past week and purchased a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming friends wedding. The process was so easy and convenient! I had a fantastic experience at Ricca Sposa! I was in a bit of a time crunch and needed a dress in 3 months, so I was worried about finding one I loved. I found a fabulous dress here (very unique and unlike anything I had seen elsewhere), and within 7 weeks it was custom-made and in the store ready for my fitting, at no extra charge to rush it. My dress was a work of art. It was very evident that it was handmade with handmade lace, unlike some dresses I have seen that look mass-produced, in my opinion. It look much more expensive than what I paid and I received so many compliments on the beautiful detail.The customer service was fantastic and Lucia is very kind and kept me updated on my dress throughout the process. When she tells you the price, thats the price -- with tax, alterations and veil included -- so that took away the guesswork around cost. Another thing I loved was every time I made an appointment at the store, it was just me there, so that made it a very personalized experience. I highly recommend booking an appointment at this boutique!

RICCA SPOSADO NOT PATRONAGE THIS DRESS STORE!! Dress ordered and down payment on 7-2019. 2nd and final payment 9-2019 for wedding 3-13-2020. Dress was to be in 12-1-2019. December no dress, January no dress, February no dress. COVID issues which we were empathetic to and expected if we didn’t get the dress we’d be reimbursed. Very poor communication. Majority of calls or texts initiated by my daughter or me. February 18, 2020, I called Lucia and informed her that we couldn’t wait anymore and we’d be looking for another dress when my daughter could come back on February 25th (2 weeks and 3 days prior to the wedding) and reimbursement expected. She promised, again, it would be in. She also promised to let us know if it came in so we wouldn’t have to dress shop on the 25th. WE HEARD NOTHING FROM LUCIA so February 25, 2020, we were dress shopping again, found one, and I bought it. That dress shop felt so bad for my daughter that they did alterations and had the dress ready in 24 hours from the purchase!! Now THAT is customer service and CARING about the bride. THANK YOU DAVID’S BRIDAL!! Come to find out the dress had come in and she didn’t let us know before we had bought the other dress, when I called her to let her know!! NO COMMUNICATION, NO DRESS, AND SHE DIDN’T REIMBURSE US!! VERY POOR BUSINESS ETHICS!!

After the first visit to the store is very warm and pleasant feelings. The shop owner finds an individual approach to all customers. It is immediately noticeable that the person loves her work. The store has a very large selection of dresses for different tastes so any bride will find the dress of her dreams. I went to Ricca Sposa based off a recommendation and Im so glad that I bought my evening gown there for my photoshoot. Girls who work there made it super easy for me to select the dresses I wanted to try on. Everything was absolutely fantastic and I found the most amazing dress that I have ever seen. Price on that dress was a little bit over my budget because of high quality and European design but the owner made a good deal for me. Fabulous experience and great atmosphere!

I Say Yes to the Dress. My dress was very affordable, and when I went to pick it up I was able to try it on prior to leaving the shop. My consultant back when I said yes to my dress was Sarah and she was wonderful to work with. If I put a dress on and hated it, I didnt have to go out and show anybody. It was clean and bright with beautiful dresses in the front room for easy dress selections. Karina and her partner greeted me immediately and made me feel welcome. I was the only bride at the shop, which made the appointment feel even more special, like I was the spotlight. Karina was deligent in making sure she knew my style and walked me through finding suitable dresses to try on. She encouraged me to try new styles without making me feel pressured and I actually love her recommendations! We found many dresses that had elements I loved but Karina was able to mesh them all together and create my DREAM dress. They were very accommodating and more than happy to do whatever necessary to make the dress what I envisioned. I felt like the bride I always wanted to be and stayed within my budget. I honestly thought this place was a scam at first. It seemed too good to be true. My mouth dropped open when I found out how reasonably priced a custom-made dress was. Lucia and Sarah are fantastic, and they will do anything to make sure you are happy with your selection. I received my dress exactly when they told me I would, and it was everything I could have imagined. Most dresses do not need any alterations, but mine needed a slight alteration in the length. It was completed within days at not additional cost. I would recommend this salon to everyone.

I bought my dress here in November and I tried on dresses before and was just over welled and just wasnt wat i wanted and went to this lovely shop and pick my dress with in minutes Im a wishy washy person and I changed things on the dresses to make them exactly what I want and Lucia made that happen she was so nice and still to this day they text and email me about my dress. Im actually going there this Saturday to see this dress that is almost the same to make sure I still want those changes. I highly recommend this is my favorite wedding dresses shop supper nice there their amazing.

I was so excited to book at the shop. It seemed like it would have maybe everything I was looking for in my wedding dress. When me and my mother and my mother-in-law went to the see the dresses here this past weekend the way we were treated was unbelievable. We walked in the store and were stared at as if we didnt belong there then ask to leave and come back because we were only 10 minutes early for our appointment. Long story short we ended up leaving the appointment because of the way that we were treated and the sad part about it we were treated like this by the owner of the whole entire place. I would not recommend this facility and I would not recommend everybody address here in my life.

Bit off more than she could chew IMO. While I was impressed with the gowns in the actual boutique I honestly feel the latter about the ones we received for my friends wedding. Gowns were mixed up. Alterations werent done properly (mine were done backwards) and the customer service could use some improvement.(I was berated when I was trying to make my final payment because she was busy but failed to inform me.) Very unprofessional. I ended up with a crooked backwards dress (because tags arent used) that came in a tote and not a dress bag for my friends special day. I personally, will not be doing business here again nor will I be referring them but hope what Ive said will be taken into consideration and wish them nothing but success moving forward.

I walked in and instantly wanted to cry. There were about 25 dresses in the store which was very disappointing as their website showed tons and so did their instagram. The customer service was severely lacking . I showed and told her what I was looking for and instead of pulling options she had me walk with her to look at each dress. I keep explaining what i wanted and she just kept showing me the next dress as if she did not understand my request. The dresses were stained and dirty. For a boutique on the Plaza I expected ALOT more. In all honesty I expect more anyplace.

Awful experience - We ordered the perfect dress in November of 2017 and it arrived mid-April 2018. I took my Mom and my Grandma with me to try on my dress and experience the exciting moment. Sadly, I was completely shocked that the dress I had received was nothing like the sample dresses I had tried on in the store. The material was stiff and not silky. It was a thick cotton. The applique was glued or ironed on and did not look like any of the other dresses in the store. The worst part besides the material was it did not fit properly. It did not cover my chest and it gaped in the back by my butt. The train was way to look and looked awful. The owner told me to stand up straight and get double sided tape. She never offered the free alterations she had originally sold me on. When I showed her that the bodice stitching was loose and unraveling, she ignored me and said that it was fine. When I told her that I needed more coverage on my chest because I was worried it was going to fall down, she said buy tape and stand up straight. My mom and I told her that we were very unhappy with the fit, the material and the over quality of how the dress was made. Lucia said she would refund us if we decided we did not want the dress. I slept on it and called back the next day to cut my losses because she had not offered any remedy to fix the dress via alterations, remaking it in the proper sample material etc and I asked for a refund as she had promised the night before.She told me she would call me back and her partner, who I had been previously introduced to as the alterations person of the shop, not a co-owner, said that Lucia was not from the United States and that she did not mean what she said to me the day before and they would not be issuing any refund. She said the dress was fine and that the lining was different - thinner than the sample dresses, but the outer material was the same. I said it seems like you are doing a bait and switch, where you have beautiful sample dress in store and you say we will make a custom one for you and then you have them manufactured cheaply in a different material than what you sell in the store and that is wrong. I asked her to feel the sample dress and feel my dress, as well as look at how the stitching was unraveling and the applique was not properly stitched - it was ironed/glued down - I even said maybe it was a manufacturer error, but I said it is NOTHING like what I ordered and I want a refund. She did not offer me anything to fix the situation, she just said we will NEVER refund you your money - you paid a deposit and we are keeping it.I then contacted my credit card company and disputed the transaction because the store had the dress and it was not what I had ordered. I won the dispute and was refunded my deposit.I had less than 3 months to find a new wedding dress and that is not stress I would put on any bride. A wedding dress is something every bride looks forward to wearing and is probably the most expensive dress a person will ever buy....a bride should not have to deal with a Bait and Switch shop like Ricca Sposa who seduces its clients with empty promises and then does not back their product. Please do not let this happen to you and do NOT buy from them.

This is the most uncomfortable, hostile environment full of rude employees that speak foreign languages to attempt at hiding the sh*t they are speaking about you. I do not recommend for anybody.

I was super nervous about dressing shopping and felt very anxious about the whole thing, but when we walked into Ricca Sposa I knew that this was the place I was going to find my dress. Lucia did an amazing job helping me along the way. She was so nice and amazing! The dresses were so beautiful! I had gone to other dress shops but wasnt in love with the quality, but here at Ricca Sposa they were so beautiful. You could tell that alot of work went into making these dresses. My dress came even before the date! It was beautiful! I super recommend coming here to find your dress!

An absolutely beautiful bridal boutique! First off, Ludmila’s was so welcoming and enjoyable to work with in search of my wedding dress. She made my experience so much fun and comforting, and the service was exceptional. She really makes you feel like you are the most important bride in the world, and made sure you are actually happy with your final decision. As much as I loved how I was treated by Ludmilla, the most important thing I would mention is that every single dress in the store is gorgeous, but amazingly unique in its own way. I am not lying when I tell you that I was stunned by the elegant design and extreme quality of each dress I tried on. I could have spent all day there and any of the dresses I tried on would have been a worthy partner for my walk down the aisle. However when you do choose the perfect one for you, know that you will have a one-of-a-kind design that is custom-made down to your exact measurements, with the highest quality. It is not an “off-the-rack” dress that would need to be tailored down; it is your dress, the only one in the world for your best day. Lastly, for the amount of time and effort that was invested into picking, fitting, and eventually making your dress, the prices could not be of better value and worth every penny. I highly recommend that all bride-to-be’s start their journey at RICCA SPOSA Bridal Boutique before ending it at the alter.

I just bought my wedding dress from Ricca Sposa and if I could give less than one star I would.I bought my dress on Black Friday when Ricca Sposa was having a Black Friday sale which said that dresses were 30% off. Nowhere on the flyer did it have any exclusions or exceptions. At first Lucia seemed very welcoming and kind, but then when asked her for the price of the dress she ate very odd. She refused to tell us what the price was, but would only ask us what we wanted to pay. It was not until my mother decided to look up the price of the dress that we found that Lucia was trying to charge us a much higher price for the dress.Even after the deception of the price my mother still wanted to try to work with Lucia because she knew how much I loved the dress so she went ahead and tried to buy the dress. Once again, Lucia tried to manipulate my mother out of money. She tried to refuse to apply the 30% discount but luckily her salesperson told her she could not do that. However, even after applying the discount Lucia still did not give us the full 30%.After we bought my dress I did my fitting around 30 days before the wedding, but sadly my dress DID NOT ARRIVE. Lucia did not expedite the dress and told me it would be here on time. But Lucia did allow me to get another dress in her collection, so at first we were very appreciate of her working with us. BUT THINGS GOT WORSE!!!ON THE DAY OF MY WEDDING, Lucia manipulated myself and my bridesmaid into paying more for the dress than she told us it would be. She ended up charging us for alterations that we did not need and charged me for a bussell that DID NOT WORK! After finding out that we were charged around $200 more than she told us, I tried to get a refund from Lucia. At first she agreed to a refund and then out of nowhere she started THREATENING us.She threatened to call the police on my bridesmaid for signing for a credit card charge I had made over the phone with Lucia. My bridesmaid was authorized to sign the receipt and Lucia knew that!! SHE EVEN TOLD HER TO SIGN! She also threatened to call the police on me for using a stolen credit card when the credit card was in my name!!! She was just trying to scare us out of asking for the money we were owed!!Then when my mother called her to try to get a refund Lucia ignored her calls, got rude with her, and called my bridesmaid and myself DRUNK because we had a glass of wine while we tried on dresses.Lucia was manipulative the entire process, scammed us out of money, and failed to get my dress here on time!!I have a lot of friends who are getting married soon and I have told ALL of them to NEVER go here! It was HORRIBLE!!I would NEVER recommend Ricca Sposa to anyone, unless you want your wedding day ruined and to lose money
