I called this morning and they were able to squeeze me in for minor issue to reattach the underside of my car that had come loose. While there, staff was very accommodating and helpful. If I could rate this business as a zero I would. They used to be fair and honest but as of today they are not. In the last few months they have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they lack integrity. My car was serviced for the A/C this summer. After the car was returned one week later the heat didnt work. The next day I reported the issue and brought the car back in as the heat worked 100% fine the day I brought it in for the A/C repair. When contacted back by their representative I was told the heat issue I was experiencing could not be duplicated. My response back was if you test the car when it’s 90 plus degrees outside of course you’ll think the heat is working because it’s blowing in outside air. Please test when it’s 50 degrees in the morning and you’ll see it’s not working. The representative stated that their work was guaranteed and they would gladly fix the heat when the temperature in KCMO dropped in the Fall but unfortunately they couldn’t reduplicate during the summer months. That brings us to today October 29. It’s 37 degrees in the morning and I have no heat and ice on my windows. I drive to the shop at 0730 am after scrapping my windows and with the A/C on so I can see. 4 hours later the manager calls and confirms the heat is out. Hello? You don’t say? SMH 1000xs I reexplain that it’s been out ever since this summer after they took a week to replace the A/C. She explains it was no fault of theres and that I’d have to pay to get it fixed. We spoke for about 15 minutes on how the heat was never an issue until I brought the vehicle in for the A/C. She did not take responsibility for the shops errors this summer and breaking the heat elements/parts also. I did everything I was supposed to do to work with this shop. Any response from the business to this post is garbage to me unless the business takes full responsibility and admits that the heat worked fine before it took them this summer. I will never bring my car here again and will tell everyone I meet if the subject arises about where to find a reputable automotive shop that KC Complete is not the place.

Customer service is good I gave them a one because got there at 730am and they was not done until 330..drove my car down the street it was doing the same thing brought it back to them and had to leave it because they already charge me ..so I left my car overnight..call them at 830am and she said that my car will be first..call back again at 12:30 she said oh the machine is down so we have not got to it yet..I said Im on my way to get it I already miss work that day couldnt afford to miss another day ..I should had got a call to let me know the machine was down ..I missed a whole day at work and plus the have it overnight..so I probably want be going back.very sorry

Used to be a good shop unfortunately they have now turned into a unscrupulous shop that tries to sell you parts that you dont need.

I’ve gone here several times with different cars for different services. They are always accommodating and the staff are knowledgeable. I definitely recommend!

I had my truck towed to this location to look at my shifter and parking brake to see why it was not recognizing or locking in place. Several days and Over $500 later I was told it was fixed. I picked up the truck and wasnt advised of any additional issues or services needed related to the shifter. After driving for a short time I realize the shifter is not locking in place. This is very concerning - while I was driving on the highway with my daughter it could have easily been knocked out of place. I brought it back to them to look at and was told I would need to spend another $500 to fix. That its another part of the shifter that is broke. Very unprofessional as they should have tested the shifter before telling me it was fixed, putting my daughter and I in danger and for taking advantage. I had let things get a little out of hand with my car, so they had to change the oil, replace the windshield wipers, replace a daytime running light bulb, recharge the AC, and fix some brake issues. I picked them because they’re the closest shop to my house, and I didn’t want to go far with the wonky brakes. The prices seemed reasonable. I really appreciated the front desk/service advisor, Christy, who helped me. When she called with a quote, she did a good job explaining what was going on that needed to be fixed now (stuff with the brakes), and what to be aware of in the future (the AC compressor was weak but didn’t have to be fixed now, they could just recharge it to blow cold air). I really appreciated that they called me for pickup right when they were closing and checked me out even a little after their closing time so I didn’t have to go another evening without my car. The quality of the work seems very good so far. I’d recommend them for convenient location, ability to drop off for service without scheduling an appointment, and most importantly, friendly and professional customer service that’s low pressure if you’re not car savvy.

I was a disappointed because my tire was sent to the wrong place . What was to take maybe 30 minutes to an hour max took 5 hours. Friendly people but a long wait.

This place is pathetic. They told me my car couldn’t be fixed after they took more than $1000 and diagnosing wrong things. The only problem was my car fan was not running. They kept taking me round and round. From buying new fans, buying a fuse, asking me to pay for a pcm and finally telling me they couldn’t fix it. Those people look so illiterate. I would want my money back for paying for wrong things but they don’t even care. Before telling me they could not fix, they lied to me that they tried calling me to inform me that that they could not fix. They really didn’t give me a call. Until I went there to go see what is going on. The worst mechanics I have ever seen in my life😤Took it to another mechanic and it costed me less than $200. Mind you, they had told me whatever my car needed was not found in the whole country. What the heck was that????

At the day of service September 13, the gentleman at the service desk was extremely helpful with details of expectations he gave me information on upcoming maintenance issues and expenses it was a relief to feel I wasnt being taken advantage of

This is the 2nd time Ive had my car repaired here. The first time I didnt have any complaints. This time was a much different story. I had it towed here when it broke down on the highway and they said it was a bad ECU. They repaired it quickly, in a day and when I went to pick it up after paying $700 I noticed it was in the parking lot with the hood up. They said the guy who programmed the ECU must have left it up so I went out there and pressed the unlock button on my key fob and it didnt work. When I told them I was told Id have to pay another diagnostic fee, but when I refused that I was told Id have to pay someone to program the key fob or figure out how to do it myself. This was very bad service to me because programming the key fob is a part of reprogramming the ECU.

They are honest, do a good job and I feel confident leaving my car with them. They told me I didn’t need things, which was a refreshing change from what some mechanics do.

Walk-in service was amazing. I was in and out in 15 minutes on a vehicle inspection. I would recommend them for inspections. I plan to use for future services on company vehicles.

I called James at KC Complete Auto after getting off the phone with the dealership who told me after five days of looking at it, that my car wouldn’t start in the cold because the “block was cracked”, a diagnosis for which no evidence or explanation was given...the car has less than 100k miles on it. There’s even more fishiness to this story, but I’m saving it for my review of the dealership.James agreed that this seemed odd, and offered to tow the car from the dealership on his dime (including arrangements to do so) and have a look at it.While the car did end up needing major engine repair, the block was not cracked, and James made sure the car was serviced at a significantly lower price, in a short period of time, and always was professional, helpful, and friendly throughout the ordeal. He also provided me with the documentation needed to follow up with the dealership that made the questionable diagnosis.Going forward, we will be taking this vehicle to KC Complete Auto for any services it requires, and will be recommending this shop to any friends that are in need of car repair from a professional, honest, and reliable, shop.Thank you James, and KC Complete Auto!

I told that I could come up and drop my truck off and have a set of tires that I had in my vehicle already put back on my truck. After getting to the shop going in to drop off my vehicle but I was been informed that it they did not put on used tires only knew. Could have been told that over the phone but had to waste my time and money driving there to be told instead.

I think it a great place,but this last time I got charged 300.00 just to put my car on the diagnostic machine.I thought that was to much,at first it was$99 dollar.but when I said I dont fix it Im coming to get it.Then it went from $99 to $300.00 is it just because Im a female and they think we dont know👀👀👀

So nobodys perfect, and there were some hangups and stumbles in the process of having some major and complex work done. But I was impressed with their commitment to making things right and owning up to it. One of their techs even stayed about 20-30 min after closing to help me get an intake problem fixed so the check engine light would go back to normal. I was so impressed I ended up spending another $500+ on new tires (which I love!)

James B and James G always work to make sure were happy with the end result of our service. The prices are reasonable, staff is pleasant and even when weve had issues with service they always work to make it right. One of our go-to places for auto care and maintenance.

This place does great work but they are expensive

The shop is is more concerned with profits rather the providing a service at a fair price. They do not give proper diagnosis just the most costly.

So i take my Navigator in to kc complete to get my heat working during the artic storm that came through. 3 weeks and 1200 plus dollars later, my truck is returned to me, but my blinkers are not working and the rear heat is only working on the floor blower, so i take it back... on the 5th week (today) i get my truck back in an unacceptable condition. Theres miscellaneous wires and bolts everywhere, panels are open and left scattered throughout the cabin, 3rd row seating doesnt work, and now my truck only blows heat!... i have been completly calm and professional through this whole episode but i nearly lost it when I call the manager and he says its nothing they can do cause they never worked on the AC.....moral of the story....avoid this place!

This place is A-1Needed a catalytic converter asap and they did it in less then an hour. James put me in first even tho there were other cars needed to be fixed. But I patiently waited and was worth it! Jess was very helpful with checking tire prices while I waited.. Will be back

Ive taken my car to this shop twice. Both times they have given me excellent service for a good price. One of the times they saved me money by telling me one of the things needing repair was actually covered by the automakers recall. I got the item fixed for free. I highly recommend this shop.

I have lived a block away from this auto shop for the past 7 years. They are always honest, up-front and transparent with mechanical issues and quick to complete the work on our vehicles. I would also consider them great neighbors. One time my wife was unable to pick up one of our cars because it did not have a car seat installed for our newborn yet, and someone at the shop parked it in front of our house and delivered the key to her. These are great, trustworthy people here. I’m moving now, and I will miss having them close by.

James Garten took care of my truck. I was so close to giving in on my collectable mini truck. He kept in contact with me through the process and had the problem solved in less than a day. I have taken this truck to several shops that could not figure out the problem. I was pleasantly surprised when James solved the issue way under the quote. I will be returning.

Honest and hardworking clientele. They had plenty of opportunities to over charge me or repair something that wasnt necessary. The owner walked me through everything and all my options and got the job done very quickly and effectively. I would recommend this to anyone who asks me where to go for car service.

I had work done 4/2020 and my car started missing so I took it in. They put on the machine and told me about a misfire. Mind you I paid $676 for the work. Well, in late May early June it started again. So I called and was told it was still under warranty so bring it in and well check it out. I work, so I wasnt able to get it in until July, still under warranty, the want $92 just for them to tell me what was wrong. Then he goes in to tell me it will be an additional $389 to fix what I paid them to fix in April. Please stay clear of these scammers! Especially ladies, they over charge us(.)

KC Complete Auto Service on Troost SAVED MY LIFE!!! I am so thankful that I took my car here for a second opinion. I had a quote at another auto service charging me thousands. I took my car into KC Complete and they determined that half of the things i was being charged for was bogus. They were honest, kind, and punctual. I got my car to them in the morning and everything was done a few hours later. The other place wanted my car for over a week. I will only be coming here for my Auto concerns. If you are a young woman who is vulnerable to being screwed over by technicians, this is definitely a place you can trust!

The customer service that was given from Jessica at the auto shop is fantastic!!! My mom and I are here from out of town and we tried finding the best auto near us after we heard some rattling in the rear of our car. Jessica heard the sound and knew almost instantly what the issue was. She pulled in to run a diagnostic. With in 10 minutes we figured out exactly what it was. The Complete Auto Service-Troost location is a well-trusted facility to take your vehicle for quality repairs and service. I have been taking my vehicles to this location since I was 22 years old starting with my first purchased vehicle to present. And I am now 48 years old. I recently brought my Kia Sorento to them regarding my front brakes after being told I needed to replace them at a whooping $235 at an unknown dealership I prefer not to mention. Mike, the Store Manager had his guys check my brakes and come to find out I didnt require brakes yet. Not until my next oil change and then have them check again. I trusted their professionalism and opinion about my brakes because they show and offer excellent quality of work. This is my favorite location to bring my vehicles for any repair, you will not be charged an arm and a leg for monies getting repairs like at a dealership. This is my #1 location for vehicle service. It can be hard to find a good place that won’t moan and groan about doing a $12 Missouri inspection. I totally get it. It’s a loss leader for them that often results in no additional work. So I’ll definitely give them some work when there is something I can’t or don’t want to do on my vehicles.This place accepts inspection requests without making you feel like an inconvenience. Kudos!

Unfortunately the brake lines on my 2004 Yukon rusted to the point of leakage. I had replaced the rear lines previously, but this time there was a leak in the front. The ABS module also began to lose fluid. In the grand scheme of things changing the one line was not a proper solution considering the extent of the rust on all the front lines, meaning other were bound to fail in succession.KC Complete was able to work with me and sympathize with the severity of the repair especially since I am only visiting the area. Despite the job hitting a snag or two, they remained truthful to their original quoted price and did a lot of extra at their expense in order to get me back on the road without charging me extra for it. I appreciated their efforts and their intention on backing their work.

Friendly people, however I had to replace a starter 3 times and a flywheel twice. I finally went to another shop and found out that the starter was installed improperly, as was the transmission ( they were loose and had the wrong bolts. I spoke with manager who was very nice and knew me from all the work I had done. She agreed with my assessment that the work had been done improperly and said that she would talk to her supervisor to call me. I called back two more times and was again told that the manager’s supervisor would call. It’s been over a month now and no call back. Beware of the work quality at this shop as it cost me over 700 dollars easy.

The starter in my Honda Accord went out two nights days ago, and Michael was able to get me in first thing the next morning. Id taken my car to KC Complete Auto Service on Troost twice before for inspections, and both time was impressed by the great customer service. After getting a quote from the dealership where I usually get maintenance done, my husband called KC Complete Auto Service to get theirs, and it was considerably less. We couldnt have been more pleased with how quickly the repairs were made and how reasonable the bill turned out to be. Im never going back to the dealership again. KC Complete Auto Service on Troost has our business, and I would encourage anyone who wants to be treated honestly and fairly to check them out!

Overpriced and ripping people off is their game. Never get a diagnostic as they will charge you 100 dollars for that alone. Always know whats wrong with your vehicle by going to advanced auto and having them hook a device to it to locate a specific problem. These people are cons, as I sat there and watched them charge an elder lady 16 bucks to change a rear bulb. A rear bulb that she had already purchased and had in hand! Dont fall for the trickery, especially if you are colored.

Amazing service! These guys tell you if you do not need any service and save you money, instead of ripping you off by telling that you have issues and should service your vehicle costing huge sums of money. I was almost ripped off by Chevy Service and these guys saved me from them. Ive found my choice of vehicle service in Kansas City! These guys are the best!

I so appreciate the guys at KC Complete on Troost. All signs pointed to a BIG problem on my Hyundai, but it turned out to be an easy fix that didnt break the bank. Its hard to find the kind of honest, respectful, professional service I routinely get at this shop, but it really is the routine here. More importantly, when I am waiting for my car, I consistently overhear other repeat customers who obviously trust this team to do the right thing for them, too, and some of them have been very vocal about it while we wait for our vehicles. Michael and his team at KC Complete understand the value of that trust, and they go out of their way to make sure they earn it from everybody I have ever watched walk through their door. Bravo, guys!

They were extremely helpful and honest from start to finish. I am relieved to have found a trustworthy car place as I am hundreds of miles from home going to school. The staff is always friendly and most importantly they are honest. If my vehicles need something that must be changed or fixed they inform me, if its something that can wait until next service or is very Minor they inform me of that as well. They are always busy but treat me as if Im the only customer they are working with ,. They treat everyone that way . Very pleased with the service and management at this location, well worth the 45 minute drive to have my cars taken care of.

Got a state inspection (MO). I needed some work (sway bar). Informed me I could do the work anywhere. They quoted a good price, squeezed my car in between other jobs and had it done 1.5 hours later. Professional and courteous.
