They were able to squeeze me in super fast on a Monday when other auto shops couldnt get me an appointment for a week or more. They replaced my battery in no time, and they even attached my license plates (I had rusted out holes in my trunk so I wasnt able to attach them myself). The long-haired dude at the front counter was super friendly and personable, and the woman I talked to on the phone was very helpful as well. Nobody wants to spend their day at a mechanics paying for unexpected car issues, so Im really happy to have found a place thats quick, affordable, with easy-going employees. Also, the A.C. was really nice. 10/10 recommend.

The manager, Jess, was absolutely helpful in squeezing me in for service and also beat a competitor price on tires!!! I couldn’t have been happier with the professionalism and service at the Midtown KC Complete Auto.

Had a scheduled appointment on a Wednesday. Was told Id hear something by the end of the day. I called at close for an update, was told they got busy and would get to it the next day. I didnt hear anything the next day. So I called again, same story. Long story short, I didnt get an actual phone call from the shop until ONE MONTH LATER. Like I get it, youre busy and parts are hard to find. But stringing me along, promising to call over and over, and never calling, is unacceptable. On the invoice, I was charged 4x for what the part cost should have been ($80 for a $20 part) and of course I was gouged on labor. I dont know if they think Im stupid, or easily manipulated, but they wont EVER get my business again.

Roy was very honest with me from the beginning, which is so much appreciated since Im a single woman depending on honestly when it comes to my car. His honestly helped me make an informed decision.

Its a great place to take your car to do they do good work the courteous youre clean as far as your auto shop I would take my car there again.

We have used KC Complete over the past several years and have had excellent service and a quick turn around time. The service writers are always helpful in explaining what is going on with each vehicle and giving a time frame of when the service or repairs should be completed.

These guys are the best in the area hands down. As someone who doesn’t know much about cars and has had very bad experiences with vehicles I have never felt taken advantage of or dismissed. Always a fair price and willing to work with me, I cannot recommend them enough.

My mom was at the Plaza Apple store and got a nail in her tire. We live all the way in Buckner and knew she couldn’t drive back with it like that. We called these folks and, without hesitation, Jess told her to head on over. The mechanic pushed back his own lunch break to accommodate my mom’s tire, got everything squared away without a bit of fuss, and she was back on her way within about twenty minutes! Truly can’t recommend them enough.

I took my truck in on saturday 8/14/21 called in the morning and roy told me if I could get it there right away he could get to it that day, he called just before they closed and told me they didnt get to it but if I would leave it they would get to it first thing monday. he called me monday morning to tell me it needed all new rotors and new calipers costing over 1000 dollars, so I told him I could not do that right now. he then told me that he would get the pads put on and call me back. then about 15 minutes later he called and said they couldnt get the calipers to move to put on the new pads, so they put it back together and I picked it up, I drove it right to a Calverts auto and they said they would check it out the next day, they put the new brakes on and called me before 11:00 and said it was ready to pick up. I guess its the mechanics that you have and how much money they can get from you that matters. I tried to give them no stars, avoid this place at all costs or it may really COST you!

I went in for in alignment, tire rotation, and balancing. They would not align my wheels unless I paid a $90 fee “inspection fee” before the cost of alignment. when I got my car back I had a brake light on which was not there when I dropped the car off. This repair shop is definitely a scam to take your money.

This shop is great. Had gone in several times with my old car and was always treated respectfully. The polite and competent staff are honest about the work that needs done and always do a solid job. Went in recently with my new car and they worked with my extended warranty company to make sure the experience went smoothly. They also let me know about upcoming issues that will need handled in upcoming visits.

Friendly service, decent prices and good location. Called for oil change and tire rotation and was able to get in within a good time frame. Car was free of grease and stains when we picked up, which is more than i can say when taking the car to a dealership for service. They also take weekend appointments which is great for our schedule. Will definitely be back.

I called telling them I already had break pads, the lady was rude and told me if you have break pads, thats like bringing eggs into Dennis. I thought they offered auto service but I guess not.

Went out of their way to make sure I had the right tire and to make sure it was installed the same day.

Got my car fix right and close to home real professional job

I requested an appointment thinking the brakes on my 2017 Chevy Sonic needed the brake pads changed. After checking, the gentleman explained the reason that breaks were okay. He further informed me that the struts may need checking next visit.

Went to Jiffy Lube and was told my skid plate bolts were stripped and maybe KC Complete Auto could help me with the bolts then Jiffy could change my oil. I’m a one stop shop kind of guy and took ALL my business to KC Complete Auto. Not only did KC Complete Auto not find any stripped bolts on my skid but they were cheaper than Jiffy Lube too. If you want diligent and competent car service come to KC Complete Auto.

I was in a serious bind with two flat tires and they were almost closed but were able to not only help me with the tires and service I needed, but saved me from having to resort to using a tow truck.

Dave and his team are courteous, professional, and attentive. I stopped in for a burned out low beam. Dave left his desk to replace the lamp as I waited. This level of customer service doesnt exists with most companies today. I appreciate the team on Main Street.

Enjoyed being able to schedule online. State inspection was quick, I was only there for half an hour total. Employees were helpful.

Fix surface issues so that you can go back to them to fix the real issue. Admitted to major up charging. Spent thousands on issues that werent the problem over the years. Example: 2 clutches replaced in around 2 or so years now in November 2020, the 3rd clutch wouldnt shift after 2nd clutch in March 2020..now they say its transmission..too many miles on car. Yet there were probably too many miles in March when they replaced the 2nd one yet they never mentioned that until this 3rd clutch issue.

I needed my license plate taken off, which was rusted shut. They kindly offered to assist me. They did everything in their power to take it off and they replaced it with my new plate- free of charge! Professional, timely, and got the job done. Would definitely go back for future repairs.

Have been multiple times and I’ve had great experience. Both times when I called around town for pricing quotes they were the most affordable. I was able to get new tires, an alignment, and a couple other minor services for less than other places quoted me just for the tires! Trust my car there and I’m definitely going to remain a repeat customer.

We were on our way though town during a cross country move but our air conditioning was not working. They were extremely understanding of our situation and accommodating and found us a location to get us in and fixed quickly. The staff we interacted with were very kind and I would definitely recommend this business.

The guys were really nice and helpful, but they failed my inspection for things that didn’t need to be fixed, according to Midas. I even took it to Midas on two separate occasions and both times they told me it was still good. I took it there to fix, just searching for better prices. I don’t necessarily think that KC Complete lied, but I got it inspected somewhere else and it passed without fixing those two things; the tie rod and wheel bearing. That was odd.

Got my car towed there and was in and out in a matter of minutes. They explained what they thought the issue was, quoted me, and a day or so later I came back and ended up owing less than the initial quote.They’re friendly, knowledgeable, fair and fast. I’ll definitely be coming back for regular servicing and/or repairs.

I have been to KC Complete Auto twice within the last 6 months or so and both visits have been nothing but pleasant. I’m a college student, so it’s a lot harder dealing with car issues without having my parents around to help deal with the matter. The staff at KC Complete Auto gave me great details on what was wrong with my car both times I took it to their shop. They text you a PDF file with what needs to be replaced and the costs, which made it easier for me to send to my parents rather than trying to explain to them over the phone (I personally know nothing about cars so I have a hard time doing this). I love KC Complete Auto and will come here for all of my car problems for the duration of time I have left in school.

They “double charge” people — see the uploaded picture of a quote they gave us for changing a wheel bearing, they quoted for over $500. We went to a different place and got the work well done for $250.

I am new to Kansas City and was hesitant to find a good place to take my car for repairs, due to bad experience in the past. Since I am a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars, it’s easy for people to try and take advantage of me in this setting. At KC complete auto on Main, I was well respected by multiple employees, treated with kindness and honesty. I took my car there for an estimate and was given a straight answer and cost breakdown, as well as an explanation for my options, without belittling me or talking down to me. I am so so pleased with my experience here I will be BACK for sure, with all of my repairs!!!

My family has worked with Roy when he was at another shop & have followed him everywhere since. He’s always been honest in explaining what needs immediate attention, what to keep an eye on & what to expect long term with our vehicles. He surrounds himself with the best staff, recently a tech Jeff spent hours diagnosing why one of the cars would start intermittently, saving us a LOT of money and sanity. Anyone who wants an auto shop that they can send several generations of vehicles to like our family has, this is the one.

Got me straight in and when it took a little longer that expected they communicated every step of the way. Fairly priced and completely friendly. This was my first time dealing with the main location and it will definitely be my mane go to from now on!

The markup on parts here is INSANE. quoted me over 1k to replace plugs and coils. good news is i learned to DIY tune up from youtube and did the job for $160.

You can get a great deal on Cooper tires which are made in the U.S.A. Welcoming staff, clean waiting room w a TV and clean bathroom. Its the best place to get your ride safe and running properly. Great service from honest friendly folks. They are quick, able to turn around my vehicle usually in a day. They offer a wide range of services and they gave great advice I felt I could trust about the maintenance work I needed. The waiting area is clean with coffee, TV and a bathroom. I was road tripping across the country when my car started making an awful noise. Stopped in KC for the night and called the shop first thing in the morning and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem in 2 hours and I was back on the road again. Just amazing. The staff was friendly, accommodating and very professional. Highly recommend this shop to anyone and everyone!

They quoted a 200-300% markup on parts. I tried to negotiate price to match another quote but they claimed that the markup was used to pay their mechanics, despite the quote having a line item for labor. This is overpriced and dishonest.

Quick reliable service, they were honest with me about what was necessary and not necessary to actually have maintenance on. I am so impressed that they didnt lie to get my money as Im a young (obviously clueless) lady when it comes to car mechanics. :) -- Since visiting KC Complete, I have decided to purchase a new vehicle and I have been able to contact them on multiple occasions to ask advice and recommendations during my car purchase. KC Complete Auto has been a reliable repair place for me for many years. It is always done right. I have never had bad work done. Their prices are average but they pin point the problem and do what needs done. They will recommend certain maintenance when needed but it’s up to the customer to make the decision. I keep coming back because I know it will be done right the first time.

Also, I think it’s a great idea for a mechanic’s shop to have a reward program because it’s a place you have to go to and you will end up spending money so you might as well get some benefits from it.

I purchased a vehicle from another private individual. The car was Slash is in pretty good shape. However, there were some things that needed to be done to it, both immediate and as soon as you can type things. After taking my car to a well known establishment to get the repairs done, they actually screwed my car up. 4 visits and 3 bills later I said to h*** woth it, Im finding a different shop. Well thank God for the mechanic Jeff and store manager Matt. They not only fixed Firestones mistakes in half an hour but also took the time to show me what actually had been done to my car by Firestone (not at all what they said the did and billed me for). They also prioritized my repairs and were very knowledgeable and accommodating to my schedule and financial situation. My car now drives better than ever had before, it is in perfect condition in my bill was a third of what Firestone and other places for quoting me. Thats because the other places didnt actually know what was wrong with my car, KC Complete Auto Service diagnose the problems and diagnose them correctly saving me hundreds and hundreds of dollars and multiple trips. Long story short, I have found my go to shop for as long as I live in Kansas City and highly recommend KC Complete Auto Service to anyone in the area, or if youre like myself and live half an hour away I would still recommend it hands down. Great staff, fantastic technicians, friendly and enjoyable experience. These are not words that you typically hear when you take your car into a shop but I cannot stress enough how different this shop is from any other car repair shop I have ever been to. I just popped in to this Main Street KC location, hoping on an off chance they would have somewhat quick availability to complete a routine State Inspection. My first stop had at least a 2-3 hour wait! However, here at KC Auto Complete I was promptly greeted by the gentleman at the desk, who was more than happy to assist me (as well as courteous to other customers as well).The inspection took no time at all, one replacement bulb was needed, of which I was notified and politely asked if I would like their service for replacement (versus some service shops in which you end up with parts and labor costs you were never notified were needed). Granted this was a simple light bulb replacement, I certainly appreciated the courtesy of the communication.All was completed, quickly and I was out the door in no time. I appreciated the kindness and attentiveness all the employees provided and will definitely return for any services needed in the future for sure!I recommend you give them a try!
