My husband started buying new oldsmobile cars in a small Kansas town with unmatched attention to detail in 1974. It closed a long time ago and he says this place is the best he has seen and as good as the small dealership if not better. After GM discontinued the Olds line we switched to VW and it has been great dealing with DIdi in sales and Bobby in service. Now 22 years later after making switch to VW my husband and I cant say enough good things about them.Expect to stay with them for the future.My husband is Bill Z. We came up there late on a Friday and Didi was super helpful and great with our son. He even let us take the car home for the night so we could see how it worked as our family car. We could not make a deal that day because we have not heard back from insurance yet. Overall great experience.

The service department was outstanding!I had a recall on my car, the guys were extremely nice and talked to me like an adult, didnt get pressured with any maintenance updates or anything to cause a bill * I hardly receive that from a dealership. I had a fantastic experience here. Normally, I put car buying in the same category as cell phone stores and dentist offices. This place was different. I visited Northtowne Volkswagen dealership to look for a used car. I met an amazing sale man called Mr. Marvin Velásquez who has showed me the 2013 Ford Escape that fits neatly into my budget. Mr. Velásquez provided the pre-purchased diagnostic report of the car. He never made me feel pressured into buying his car. He stood for my interest and ensured that the mechanics re-checked the car to make sure that the engine, transmissions, and other relevant things are all working effectively. He ensured that the Ford Escape I purchased was fully detailed and cleaned, and runs like a brand new car.Not only did Mr. Velásquez sold impeccable car to me, he also offered a reasonable warranty deal for the car, and allowed me to use the car for 3 days before purchasing -- a generous offer that most dealership and car sellers in Kansas would not easily allow. After purchasing the car, I found two chips on the front windshield which I believe was probably not on the car before I purchased it, and I contacted him about it. Mr.Velásquez acted swiftly with compassion and kindness by making arrangement with the Clarity Auto Glass for the windshield to be fully replaced without me paying a penny. Around the same time, I noticed a loose noise coming from the rear tire, and he fixed that as well without charging me a penny even though the car warranty required me to pay for about 50% of the cost. Mr. Velásquez could have said that he have already sold the car to me in a good condition and that he would not be responsible for the full payment of the damages that probably happened after the purchase of the car. Yet, he stood with me and never abandoned me. If you want a good car for a more reasonable price, Mr. Velásquez is the right person to contact. If you want sale person who will never abandon you when the problem arises in the aftermath of purchasing the car, Mr. Velásquez is the right person for you. Above all, after paying for the replacement of my windshield, Mr.Velásquez generously provided full tank fuel for me his customer. I strongly recommend him for anyone who wants a good car. I purchase another car from him when my wife joins me in the US next. Thank you for hospitality, honesty, and support, Mr.Velásquez! I was a great privilege of working with you in purchasing a car.

Buying a used car can be a challenge, not so in this case at Northtowne Volkswagen. I found a truck I was interested in on line, called the dealership and Jerry Hall answered my call. It was a real pleasure working with Jerry on this deal. He was friendly, straightforward and forthcoming on the price. After calling multiple times through out the day and being left on hold to inevitably get hung up on. I Was eventually told that I would have to pay a diagnostic fee that I was never informed about. Ive delt with multiple other car dealers and repair shops that before any work is done including a diagnostic pricing and confirmation would be agreed upon. I tried to talk with Berry; Im unsure about his last name as this didnt seem like a very professional dealership. As I was talked over and treated like I had robed the dealership and repeatedly told that because I wasnt a returning customer that I was charged a different rate and didnt need to have confirmation on any fees. I know full well that there will be a reply stating that all that Im saying is wrong because this dealership will try and lie, cheat, and steal to gouge the most money out of you; if they dont reply to this review you can tell how much they truly care about their customers.

Great experience with this dealership. My first time buying a new car and Lorrie was exceptionally good in handling the business. I bought a fwd suv at first and then after circumstances had changed I had to exchange into an awd one and they were very flexible and were able to make this whole experience smooth and transparent. They do business the right way!

Well for starters I had found this place from Car Gurus and I am so glad I did. Really was just testing the waters of buying a new vehicle over the last month but met a saleswoman named Lorrie and knew I had to buy. She was outstanding. Period. Now she does have her flaws being a Missouri Tiger fan and all but made the car buying experience damn near flawless for me and my future wife. I couldnt recommend another certified dealer and more importantly Lorrie W as a saleswoman for your next car purchase.

Marvin Velasquez in sales was so kind and professional when I purchased my VW Beetle. Hands down the best car salesman I have worked with. He kept me informed at all stages of the purchase. Marvin text me when the car was delivered, in detailing, ready for test drive etc. Even a week after the purchase, he contacted me to see how the car was doing or if I needed anything. Also, a big shout out to Thomas in financing. He was so laid back and kind. The Beetle was still under warranty and there was no pressure to purchase other policies. Matt Weaver was very prompt response to my online inquiry, went over and above to find the right fit and completed the purchase with no hassle and no pressure!UPDATE: Review your paperwork well! After 2 months of owning the Certified Tiguan I purchased I learned that there was an open recall, dated 12/1/20, with no repair. (The car was purchased 2/6/21) Matt, salesman, stated theyre unable to finance the car through VW as indicated when we signed papers because VW will not finance the car sold as Certified because there is an open recall with no remedy. Review of the Carfax provided by the dealership is 12/28/20, which is 8 days after the recall date. Super frustrating.

Easy online scheduling, easy drop off, and didnt have to wait too long for the recall fix on my car to be completed. Overall easy nice experience.

Service department/oil change:Definitely worth a 5 star, but a major flaw, I had made an appointment a week prior for 12:00. When I showed up for my appointment I was told that everyone was on lunch and I wouldn’t get in until 1:00. I live about 30 minutes away, so I had to stay and wait.They did find a small issue that they fixed without any extra labor.Overall happy with the price and speed of service. I wish they would have looked at their appointment schedule daily to catch the online error so I wouldn’t have wasted my afternoon waiting, I would have also expected them to mentioned something about fixing their online issues, but instead they dismissed it like it was a known issue... oh well.

I have owned or leased VW over the past 15 years and Lorrie Whitehead is the best salesperson that I have ever worked with. Lorrie reached out to me and had noticed that my lease was expiring. We discussed options which she presented to me in an easily understandable way and followed up with me as I was considering all the options. The frequency of her follow-up was not too frequent but just intermittently enough to gauge where I was at in terms of making my decision. We texted back and forth which was nice because I dont really have a lot of free time during the day to talk and her commitment to providing excellent customer service from the outset was apparent. Once I had made the decision Lorrie delivered the exact car with the exact terms we discussed - sort of. She noted when I went to sign the paperwork that the monthly payment may have been off by a dollar or two. I really appreciated the experience overall and even more so while we are dealing with COVID. She along with everyone at Northtwone VW were wearing masks and the process was really efficient which I appreciated since I really have tried to limit my exposure. Overall, she did a great job and this has really solidified my commitment to VW and Northtowne VW.

I got a Certified 2015 VW Passat TDI with a 6 speed manual transmission. I was super excited to find the car and bought it quickly. 1-2 days in I started finding issues. The rotors were warped, some paint was chipping under the passenger side door, a door seal was leaky, the metal foil covering the door handle had been torn off, and in February the cold weather caused a previous paint repair to crack along the passenger side quarter panel. The dealership fixed all of these issues immediately and at no charge. I really wish they had caught these items before I bought the car, but they really stand by their certification and I will definitely be going back for my next VW.

They dont have an Express oil change service so I got turned away since they are busy. My job does not allow me to plan too far ahead so Ive always just dropped in a nearby dealer when its needed. Also the same service assistant helped me last time and to say that his personality is unhelpful would be an understatement. Ill probably switch back to Japanese cars when this one ages out in 3 years. At least the service is consistently excellent.

We called before going because we live about an hour away. We were told one price and interest rate on the phone and a higher rate and price in person. They couldn’t even find the keys for the car and it was dirty on the inside - spills and trash. Horrible experience. Salesman did not care about us or our business and even joked he’d made another lady mad and leave earlier in the day.

He was overall helpful, patient, and didnt try to pressure or rush us in any way. After she bought the car he even sat in it with her for a good 15 minutes answering any questions she might have. Dont go here if you have a used vehicle or no warranty. Theyll overcharge you for labor and parts and good luck having Volkswagen service department answer your phone. They never do. Ive tried to take my vehicle there 3 times and unsuccessfully could get a hold of them 2 of the 3 times. Even left a voicemail and they never call back. Unreliable. Overpriced. Over rated.

Fantastic dealership to work with. I traveled over 3 hrs to look at a vehicle here, which I did end up purchasing. Everyone that I was able to do business with was very cordial and just seemed like good people! The vehicle I purchased was a used vehicle which needed a $1000 repair within the first two weeks (Just bad luck, no fault of the dealer) and Northtowne VW went out of their way to make sure they covered the vehicle under warranty. Andre (Salesman), Lynn (finances), and Russ (Manager) all were great.

We purchased a certified pre-owned 2016 Tiguan SEL because of the 0% financing for 5 years deal that VW was offering during the COVID-19 time frame. I was ready to buy that day because I had a buyer for my current car. Our salesman, Jerry Hall, was exceptional. I made an appointment to see this specific Tiguan and he had it clean, on the lot, with the a/c blasting because it was in the high 90s that day. He was respectful of if I wanted him to ride along or test drive alone. I chose the former so he could show me the route to drive and explain things in the car. Jerry and I got along great and he was laid back, yet knew a lot about the car. The negotiation process was quick and easy and all I needed was for my husband to look over the vehicle and drive it to confirm a sale. Jerry did give us a bit of a break on the price, but since it was not a lot, offered some accessories to make up for it and we were very happy with that compromise. While we applied for financing and signed all the paperwork, Jerry got the car prepped for delivery and topped off the gas. He then went over syncing our phones with CarPlay and showed us both how to use everything in my car. He also said that he would take care of a couple of blemishes on my wheels and would call me when he found out the wheel repair guy’s schedule, which he did that following week and I took it in. The work the wheel guy did was amazing. The scrapes on the wheels were gone! And the touch-up paint to the chip on my gas door was fixed as well. Jerry graciously offered to answer any questions I may have in the future and also offered to look for my husband’s requested car that his dealership did not have in stock at the time. Jerry followed through with everything he promised and was friendly. This has been one of the best experiences I have ever had purchasing a car and I have purchased cars from many different dealerships in my lifetime. While purchasing a car for my son who was very excited yesterday I had a minor issue with the tire which was eventually replaced and taken care ofWhile my complaint about a tire was being address the “General Manager “Whom I didn’t get a name for just an title decides to come outside with his nasty attitude explaining rudely about how they spent $962.22 on a 40,000 mile maintenance when the car had 38,727 miles on it so basically before purchasing this is something that should had been done anyways when purchasing a vehicle especially when on the certified vehicle inspection and condition report we signed is a service that should be done without it being thrown in our face by the “general manager “ before purchaseing the vehicle and all I had an issue with was a damn tire.......If not for the salesman Matt who helped my son during the process and the business manager Lynn who was very nice during this process we were about to walk away....... so overall I would had gave this a 1 but due to those two and their great customer services I give them a 3So thank the “general manager “ and his rude mouth and ways I won’t give it a 5

Sales department is great, have not had any issues with that department. Bought my wife’s car from here. Went smooth and everyone was very nice. However bought my car from a different VW dealership and called to see if they covered the extended warranty the same and was told they don’t know what kind of warranty when all Don had to do was type in the vin since my phone number is in their system with the Vin to both of my cars and check it out for me. Guess I will be taking my business to other VW dealerships.

On July 13th we purchased a vehicle from this dealership. Our sales associate was Jerry Hall.Jerry went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable, and well taken care of during the whole buying process. He really made us feel welcomed and never once made us feel as if we were wasting his time. Ive been to many dealerships recently, since we need a bigger vehicle to accommodate our growing family, and Northtowne VW was by far the best, hands down. Not once did they use any of the tactics most dealerships use to pressure you into buying a vehicle. Jerry never used any of the tired worn out lines that so many dealerships use. He was honest and kind. Thank you Jerry Hall.The whole staff was friendly, accommodating, and a joy to be around.I would recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a newer vehicle, and would definitely buy from them again.

We had an awesome experience buying a car here recently. Our salesperson was Andre, and he was the perfect balance of being responsive, and not pushy at all. Everything was easy. We were looking for a used Jetta, but could not find one in our price range in the city where we live. So, even though we had an hour drive over to Northtowne, it was worth it. Fantastic experience. Steven Dee is the kind of car salesman you want to work with. He is honest and wont try and play any games. First time buying a vehicle in Missouri and they were very easy to talk with and didnt pressure me to do anything.

Had an awesome experience with Andre purchasing my new GTI. No pressure, no hassle, and a fair deal for both parties. He was kind enough to call back and check up on my experience after a week or so and let me know when he got some additional rubber mats in stock for me.Ive found a couple minor issues with the interior (some of the ambient lighting doesnt work) but making an appointment for a fix was easy and flexible. I hope the service department is equally as easy to deal with as the sales and finance departments.

He is unbelievably responsive, did not pressure me and best of all, found the exact car I was wanting to buy. I would used to give it four star, but after todays experience it gets one.I asked for a simple repair on my car (taillight lens). It ended costing over $300dollars. Without consulting me about the price they went ahead and made the repair that cannot be reversed.when I ask to speak to the manager I was told he would not be available for this kind of complaint since it is a repair I asked for and was on vacation and no one else was available.the service guy assigned to my account has been nothing but great for the year Ive been coming here, but the way the situation handled today was extremely negative and costly.I will no longer be bringing my Volkswagen to this dealership and cannot recommend it to anyone. The behavior today affirmed the reputation having your car serviced at a dealership has earned..

Richard Powell was absolutely amazing. Came here because we had a previous experience at a different car dealership that was absolutely terrible. Richard was friendly, helpful, honest, and just amazing. He and Chris were very helpful and got me into a NEW car that i TOTALLY LOVE!

So long story short I bought a 2010 VW Tiguan from a sketchy car lot (that’s a whole other review) BUT. It’s my bad and I knew it was going to cost me. But to find someone to work on a VW is hard, like no one does it. I stumbled across Northtowne VW and from the minute I met Donnie my stress has slowly dismissed. Like I said I knew it was gonna cost me, this car went from a 5k$ car to a 9k$ car QUICK because of the shape it was in but the level of customer service & dedication Donnie had to work with me and fix this hooptie & turn it into the perfect mommy car, I’m forever grateful. Great first time experience! Bobby and the service shop mechanics were able to resolve my car steering wheel issue without hassle. Would highly recommend if you are looking for great service from start to finish. Would definitely return back again.

My wife saw the car of her dreams on their website on Thursday and we drove it home Friday before noon. Ask for Helen she is super sweet and very helpful. All of their staff was kind and no pushy sales people.
