Great hidden gem of Kansas City. Friendly staff and very helpful as well! They have a great selection of rice, instant ramen, and various other Asian goods. I highly recommend visiting if you have never been.

Love this place... big variety of Asian items with a concentration on Vietnamese... i go here to get my MSG supply, the best selection of curry mixes, and the biggest bag (and best value) of 3-in-1 instant coffee packets... also large selection of cookware, tableware, candy/cookies, and all varieties of teas... if youre at the River Market you should check this place out...

Every time I take my mom here, she spends quite some time talking to the employees. They are quite friendly and helpful. The interactions give you that small mom and pop business feeling.

Even though I have criticisms, I still love this place. Its cramped, but thats only because they have such a huge variety of products to stuff into a small place. A lot of things dont have English translations, but thats more of a me problem, for going into an Asian market while only knowing English. A lot of the vegetables-of which they have an amazing variety-arent labeled at all. But the cashiers are very helpful, and willing to explain things I dont understand. All in all, I like this market, and they have things I cant get elsewhere, including long beans an whole ducks.

The staff here is so awesome....they answered every question I had, and recommended some great fun snacks for my kiddo. In one of the lil corners, they have a bunch of really nice dishes, teacups, and teapots for crazy inexpensive prices. You can find some super unique gifts here.Also, the selection (and price!) of teas is unbelievable!! We come here once a week to stock up, and to buy loaves of French bread for banh mi. Love love LOVE this place!

My husband and I have been going to them since before they moved from the corner of city market. I love everything there. The roasted duck is so good. They have all kinds of stuff to snack on. Ands the MAMA noodles are still a favorite since we were younger. And our kids love everything in there to.

Very friendly staff and large variety of asian grocery items. Good variety of fresh produce, large jasmine brown rice (25/50lb, also in smaller quantities). They have BBQ duck and pig in the back, highly recommend. Unique meat cuts like pork belly (can you say bacon 🥓 !)

I love shopping here. They have almost everything you need for an exquisite cuisine to bring back that home from home feeling.But just make sure bring some disinfect wipes to wipe down your shopping cart.

Vietnamese market has plenty of Asian goods. It is also place to get quick Vietnamese goodies on the go: Bánh mì, bánh bao, chè, Etc. Their veggies are fresh and plentiful to choose from. Their staff are friendly to help look for anything.

Good selection of various Asian cuisines also has fresh meat counter and a refrigerator of fresh produce. Also sells an assortment of dry goods.

Truckers! Unloading door is on E 3rd Street! Sleeper Semi with 53 has no room to make a U-turn. Check out Google Satellite and Street View before you start driving. Choose City Diner Restauran for your GPS, make sure that your Destination will be on the Left side and slide your tandems forward as far as possible. The loading ramp is not for Sleeper Semi at all. The unloading procedure is fast. Good luck 👍

You cant sell booze until 9am on Sunday. Right after 9am, I got a nice bottle of Taiwanese beer. They sell mainly Vietnamese/pan Asian stuff. Its interesting to browse through.

Nice store to get your asian groceries. They do always have some fresh veggies to choose from which is one of the things that I like. I recommend giving this a place a try

The veggies are way more pricier than other leading Asian stores. The to go snacks and food in the front and in the fridge needs time and date it was made. Looks unfresh and I hope they are not selling expired food since there is no identification label of when it was made. Nice variety of food and they carry some things other asian stores dont but I can say with the amount of money I spend here; I could be buying more stuff at another leading asian supermarket.

Entering on your left are cold cases grab a cold can of Thai tea, iced coffee maybe a can of fruit juice or soda. Need some fresh noodles for your Pho or noodle bowl youll find that there too.One can of Thai Tea not enough, around the corner you will find refrigerated rooms with fresh herbs and vegetables, case quantities of the canned drinks found in the cold cases.First visit I was overwhelmed by the variety and quantity of various fish sauces, vinegars, seasoned vinegars, cooking sauces, dried herbs and spices (I still am actually).Need something to serve your Pho or rice bowl in, need a steamer, rice cooker or Wok they have that too.The staff is friendly and if you try and pick a slower time of the day to go seem eager to help.

I love going go this market for my Asian groceries. They have such a large selction and some things that you cant find anywhere else in the Kansas City area. I love being able to buy foods that my mom used to buy at the Asian markets back home in California. Oh, and the ladies at the register are so friendly and helpful!

I always come here for asian ingredients which they ALWAYS have. Everything is always in stock and cashier (same lady each time I go) is very nice! One time she gave us a free calendar for being regular customers which I thought was very appreciative and made me feel noticed and welcome.

Delighted I found this. Beats the smelly China Town mkt hands down. They carry the primo Red Boat fish sauce! Don’t miss the nice selection of produce in the walk-in coolers.

My go to Asian market. Some days you need to pick through the produce but, thats just a product of having fresh produce and not having a million dollars to hire tons of crew and throw away everything. Always comes out cheaper than I think and theyre very friendly

Fun place to go. We always buy our curry sauce & ramen here. The kids love getting Asian sweets & checking out the fruits you cant find in your average grocery store. Theres a fairly large seafood section & the roasted ducks look amazing (have yet to try them though).

Soups and hot sauce, thick sow sauce. Left and forgot fish oil lol. Next time I wont forget.

Been going here since i was a kid. They were located in a different spot but I Love this place. I get the spring rolls, The pork meat on a stick, and the dumplings are to die for!!!! And my kids love the MAMA pork noodles..... I love this place!

I had not been to this new location although I understand its been open for some time. Its very open and clean, even uncluttered which can be the case with other grocery stores in the city market areas. I found everything needed and even some things I didnt originally need. 😉. Its easy to see from the road but only accessible from the north. Make sure you dont miss it the first time around but if you do, just circle the block. It doesnt take long.

They have fresh and packaged foods. Fresh meat, fruit, and veggies. I love the prepackaged rice noodles.

Love this place. Great prices compared to the 4 asian stores we went to including 888 and the selection was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk to. This will be our first stop next time.

By far the best asian market in KC, very cheap and huge selection!

Ive shopped here because they have better hours than the other Asian grocery in the neighborhood but it will be a while before I come here again. We recently went there on a Sunday morning to pick up a few things and were watched like hawks by the employees. They were not at all subtle and I felt uncomfortable being there; wont be a problem again any time soon.

They have a whole sections of fruits and vegetables that are not available in most grocery stores. I love the prepared foods that are available at the checkout. Of course, they have a wide variety of Asian Food stuffs.

They got the best selection for South East Asian ingredients. Highly recommend if youre looking for ingredients to make Thai/Lao/Vietnamese/Cambodian/Hmong dishes.

Ive been shopping here with my mother since I was a child. Its an excellent place to shop for various Asian foodstuffs, kitchen utensils, gifts and decor. The pricing is fair, albeit a bit more expensive than the Chinatown Market across the street.

The large selection of food and dishes and other non-food items. Large selection wide aisles and helpful staff.. I was pleasantly surprised to find fresh packaged food such as salads, spring rolls and freshly prepared fruits. They have a selection of fish and other sea food items. They dont have everything but they come close.

Closer than the city market and they have all your needs..

I gave 5 stars because a lady there does my income taxes. She is fast and reasonable, been going there for last 4 years or so.

If you like Asian food and produce, it is a good place to buy. Prices are pricy. Some items have decent prices. I guess it depends on what you want to buy. If you have not been to a Vietnamese grocery store, it is a good place to explore. Good luck with your exploration!

Always have what I need in my ramen and very helpful about the language barrier when I dont know when something is hate you have to spend ten dollars to make a purchase with a card

Love the variety of authentic products and fresh meat and seafood.

This place might seem scary from the outside but it is literally the best place in KC to get Asian ingredients. They have multiple brands of each product they sell. Their produce is crazy cheap and good quality and their packaged noodles are much fresher than the China market across the street. Ive also eaten their bahn no sandwich they sell and it was pretty good. They sell other foods (hot or cold) including a whoole roast duck for $20 but I have yet to try them.

Always check the expiration dates. There are so many noodle choices and that helps with our gluten-free needs. Stop in just to explore you wont be bored.

This is a family run business. I like the owner & her daughter who works there. I can buy food already made or ingredients to make it that I can not find anywhere else.

One word Pricey....

To be honest, it’s quite dirty in here and LOTS of stuff are covered by dust. They always look skeptical that the customers will steal the products...Just go somewhere else guys seriously :)

Rotten persimmon and other fruits are still displayed. I wonder they cater food for human consumption? Most the canned food are expired. Check the expiration dates before you buy.

The Hung Vuong market has a huge selection of food and spices. The women at the cash register is very friendly and always helps me get the best ingredients for my recipes. This is my goto store for vegetables and spices.

Cleaned up since the last time I visted. No Lions mane or Black pearl mushrooms.
