I don’t like being/ sounding rude but the employees need to be better about answering the phone. I’ve tried calling throughout the day at different times and each time I waited 7 minutes to have no one answer the phone. I’d really rather not have to drive 30 minutes and waste gas to ask for an update on my MacBook repair status.

Awhile back, I made an appointment for my battery to be replaced and it was $50 for the replacement. No big deal, only downside was that when I got to my appointment, they told me they had to order a battery and so I had to go back a second time. Now, I have 2 iphone 7’s, and I was wanting to see if they could take my old one and put that battery into my new one and vice versa. I didn’t need any new batteries or anything, just the swap. I called a few times with no answer, so I emailed. They said they were having problems with their phone, which I can understand, but please put that on your website!! Anyways, they told me it would be $57 dollars for them to just swap those batteries! I’m just gonna buy the tools and do it myself at this point. I could see it being $25, but $57?? No thanks.

I bought a 2012 Macbook Pro as they are the most upgradable computers from Apple. The keyboard and trackpad was damaged and I made an appointment with Apple to have them fix my issue. I tried calling them multiple times before I made the 2.5 hour drive from my house to this shop. When I enter, there was one man who wore glasses who helped me out. I was informed that because I had purchased this macbook from eBay and because I replaced the bottom casing (which is 11 philips screws), they werent able to help me BUT for the low price of 79.99, they could diagnose is. I know what my issue is, the logic board is fried.He then said that it would cost me roughly 600 smackaroonies to replace the good ol part. I told him no thank you and walked out.This is a money racket. Find someplace else aside from apple certified.

Ive been in this store several times. They helped me fix a black out screen on my iPhone.I recently took our older Mac 27 unit in to see if it could be repaired. The clerk was very honest, and explained that it was an obsolete unit.Today, I went in to buy a new unit. Caleb was very patient, and very helpful. Not only did he review buying options and a warranty plan, but he was nice enough to carry the new unit out to my car. Everyone there is professional, they are able to handle multiple customers, and they are very friendly. Customer for life.

Half of my phone on my iPhone xs wouldnt work right, couldnt get into reset my password to get the screen fixed. We had to call Apple to ask for them they were useless, But not one of the employees here. He THOUGHT of a plain on his own and help get the password reset. better than apple could do. I have an iPhone 6 that was 10 days out of warranty that was shutting down often.The tech at simply Mac ran a diagnostics on it and told me he didn’t think it would help to change the battery and I should call apple back and talk to them. Apple agreed to either fix or replace my phone. Simply Mac gave me a loner phone and sent mine off. They sent me a replacement and simply Mac tech set up my new phone.?these guys are very professional and not out to take your money to sell you a service or product without exhausting every thing to fix your problem first. Great place to do business with!!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Simply Mac! I thought I had totally ruined my laptop computer by dropping it the day before yesterday. I just knew that, if it could even be fixed, it would be weeks before Id get it back. NOT SO! Thankfully it was just the screen and Apple overnighted a new one; and now Im up and running again! Everyone at the store was so polite, courteous. patient, and professional. They made me feel confident that I had left my computer in good hands. Im so happy we have Simply Mac in Johnson City, TN! I made an appointment through Apple’s website to have my screen. The website showed the earliest appoint was 11 so I went with that one. When I got to the store I was told that a tech didn’t come in till one. I understand that they aren’t Apple but they are a partner. If they’re going to be listed in the Apple website for repairs with appointments starting at 11 then they should have someone there to do repairs. If they don’t want to do this then they need to tell Apple to fix the listing for their store. I drove from Boone NC since it said they were the closest Apple repair that honored AppleCare.

I just called to get the cost of replacing the home button on an iPhone 7 Plus repaired, and the individual who answered claimed you have to replace the entire LCD, to fix the broken home buttons, because theyre attached to the LCD. Not only is this demonstrably false, its dishonest to customers. I pointed out to the individual, that you, in fact do not need to replace the LCD to fix broken home buttons. I was simply trying to get a repair estimate and was instead hung up on for being rude because I pointed out his lie. I have been a technician for years, and hate seeing companies like this one deliberately lie to customers to line their own pockets.

The guy that helped me went out of his way to make sure my questions were answered and my phone was fixed. Called this store for a repair and was told I could walk in without an appointment. A few days later I arrive at the store and ask to get the repair needed, then was told to make an appointment. I called another store to see availability then called this location again. I was on hold for awhile knowing good and well they can’t be that busy to not answer a customers call. I will give them the benefit of the doubt but definitely call or know what you’re looking for before you enter this location.

I went to them when I was visiting family for Thanksgiving and needed my laptop fixed. We live on our boat and getting to a repair place is difficult so I needed to get it all done while here. I must admit when I got to Simply Mac in Johnson City, TN, I was very tired and almost at the end of my rope. I had updated and save my data in the Cloud from my IPhone the night before and it froze. When I plugged it in to ITunes it would not update or restore it just locked me out. Like many business people today, my phone is my transaction device, calendar, contact info, etc. I tried everything but got error messages. My tech, Caleb, took one look at me and was very kind and reassuring. With in 2 hours, I was unlocked and all my data restored. I appreciated his kind reassurance and technical know-how. Would recommend this store to others in a minute.

The service was very friendly and good!I needed to replace the battery of my iPhone 6 and booked my appointment through the Apple service site. The night before my appointment I received an email from Simply Mac of things I needed to do beforehand and that batteries were available based on inventory (as a warning that by the time I get to the store they might not have a battery for my particular model).Sign in was easy once I got to the store and the staff was friendly during the entire transaction. They said my phone should be ready in about an hour but also stated that it may be a little longer, but they finished right on time.Overall I would recommend Simply Mac to others. My only warning is that the price for the replacement battery is more expensive, but that information was included in the email I received so it didnt come as a surprise to me.

The tech also helped me download/install the programs I wanted when I picked up the computer. You may have to wait a bit - the service techs are usually quite busy - but the service they provide is the best!

The manager and staff at Simply Mac are incredible!They repaired my computer within hours for less than 1/3 the price of what the “Geek Squad” quoted me would take three days. I can not say enough about Simply Mac’s endless knowledge, incredible competency, welcoming customer service, and complete honesty, as opposed to the Geek Squads “don’t bother me attitude” as they used their iPhone to research how to repair my computer.Thank you Simply Mac, for helping me get my Mac functioning again, as my income relies on it. This journey first began when I tried calling the store to schedule and appointment and could never get through to anyone. I have a virus on my Mac Book and needed it wiped clean. I tried multiple times at different times of the day for about a week on and off, the line was either busy or unavailable. I finally took the trek all the way to Johnson City, I live about 40 miles away and got in line, after being informed by the greeter that the actual technician was out today, and there was no way anything could actually be done today it would be around 3-5 business days, and they couldn’t guarantee anything. So I got in line, in front of me was a mother and her son grumbling about how ridiculous it was that they had been waiting for so long, but I just decided to wait it out. After about 20-30 min of waiting in line (the store was NOT busy by the way) I got to give my computer to the clerk. They informed me that even though my Mac is fully covered by my warrantee (which I paid good money for) they could not do the repair without a $69.99 dollar charge because they are not a “real” corporate Apple store, they are a private subsidiary owned by GameStop. And that even though I have no idea how to re-set my software I should call Mac support and do it myself. I sure would have wasted a LOT less time if they had just picked up the phone! When I told him that I had tried on MULTIPLE occasions to call them and ask before driving ALL the way there, he said yeah they needed to get their phone fixed and had hand trouble with it for a long time. Needless to say there is a major disconnect going on here between Apple, their customers, and the “private” repair stores like this one....all in all I would say don’t waste your time unless you have to, they have some products for sale there, and the staff seems nice enough. Evidently there’s a LEGITIMATE Apple store in Knoxville, guess I’ll be making the trip if I can’t figure out how to fix my computer myself.

This was my second visit to Simply Mac for technical issues with iPad (first visit a few years ago) and MacBook this visit. The staff were very knowledgeable and quick to help. They were able to remove a bug on my MacBook in about 5 seconds! I spent over two hours online with Apple support before going to Simply Mac and the issue was never resolved. This was a pretty good saga so please be patient as I relate it. My MacBook Pro lost the ability to send iMessages. It would receive them, but when pressing enter to send a message it immediately gave the response Not Delivered. I took it to Simply Mac and they had the same issue with it and were perplexed. But they did not give up! They tried enough things that they determined the issue had to be my Apple ID. Without giving all the little details, they finally booted the hardware on an external drive using the Apple ID of one of their technicians and it worked. So that meant I had to go to Apple Support. When I did, I got a return call from Apple in 2 minutes. The tech said I had to go to a Senior Rep. Uh oh, what the heck? She called me back in less than 10 minuets, went into the guts of the machine and found an aberrant file that she told me to delete. And that fixed the problem.So Simply Mac worked for 10 days and got me an answer that let to resolution of a complex problem that I could never solve. Good on them!

Also they are NOT an actual Apple store and because of this they can and will charge additional fees. What can you say. Its one of the few options outside of an Official Apple Store that caters exclusively to Apple Products, and the only store of its kind in Tri-Cities. Isles are nice and wide and it does capture that Apple Store vibe of being easily accessible encouraging interaction with both Hardware and associates.Pricing is what you would expect. There are no Deals to be had, but that is more reflective of the Apple market and the investment they demand from the consumer for their products.All-in-All, it captures the imagination in a Museum-of-Technology that Apple endeavors to convey with their products. For any Apple users, its a must visit when coming to JCM.

My daughter had broken her screen for the second time. I took it to the Store and turns out my Apple Care had expired in December but the guy was nice enough to write down the number and who I needed to speak to for an extension since I had only used my repair once. I called and I did get the extension. I then took the iPad back, the returned it for me and in 2 days my daughter had her iPad back in hand. The guys there were very nice and I feel like I was taken care of very well. This was my second time in the store and I’ll for sure return if needed!

My Macbook Air screen was having issues so I took it to this store for repair. The staff was nice and friendly and my problem was fixed for no charge due to it being covered by my standard one year warranty. They called me the next day saying it was repaired already! Screen looks better than ever and they cleaned my laptop and put a protective clear sticker on the Apple logo. Very impressed with the extremely fast and well done repair. They exceeded my expectations and this is a great store!

Dropped off an iphone to have screen fixed. Was told to return two hours later. When I returned, I was told the new screen did not work with the receiver - would need to re-install old screen again. Once screen was replaced back to old, receiver did not work. Was offered an older model loaner (that would not have capacity for my iCloud contents) to use while mine was sent to apple. Not acceptable. No reimbursement for damaged phone. No options. Waste of 2.5 hours. Sales guy left amidst debacle for lunch - great service (sarcasm). Zero stars is more deserving.

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. We made an appointment 6 days in advance for a iPhone 6s battery replacement. On arrival(a 1 hour drive) they informed us that they had no stock available to actually do the replacement, and had sent an email the day before(using a different email address than all other communications), which at the very bottom of the email mentioned that they didnt have batteries for new appointments. Since we had had an appointment previously, should be no problem, right? Not only did they not have the battery in stock, they would do nothing to own the problem, continuously deflecting to it being someone elses fault, and offering no solutions. They repeated endlessly that they were not an Apple store, which offers actual service, but a third party provider who got given the leftovers that real providers get. Avoid this place like the plague.

It is great to know we dont have to travel outside our area anymore to have an apple tech look at our computer. Friday I went in to the Mac store due to the fact my touch screen was not working. A very friendly woman took my phone into the back and fixed it. She told me that since I was out of warranty I could either bring it back in to the store and she would fix it or contact Apple Care. For her, I would give 5 stars. Today, 6 days later, my phone froze up again. According to Apple Care I would have to restore my phone to factory settings, so I figured I would go into the Mac store to get it fixed in the meantime. The gentleman I spoke to told me that since I was out of warranty there was nothing they could do but I could buy a new iPhone for $299. I knew that it was possible to fix my phone but did not want to argue, which looking back I probably should have challenge him; however, I felt it was poor customer service, especially since I know personally and from friends who have had the same issue, this is something that could be fixed. Simply Mac is the best. Dakota and the team at Simply Mac in Johnson City, TN are my go to for anything Apple. I have purchased multiple MacBook Pros, iPads, Apple TVs & Accessories from them over the years and their service has always been excellent. Its great having them in the Tri-Cities so I dont have to drive to the nearest Apple Store (2 hrs one way).

Brought in a MacBook with a defective solid state drive to get fixed per Apple’s instructions and the email I received from Apple said it would take 1 hour or less. Made it to the store and the rude tech worker said it should take 1-2 hours. So I come back 2 and a half hours later and they tell me it’ll be another 2 hours. 4 and a half hours for a job that should take 1 hour or less. Seems like there are incompetent staff working on the products using google and YouTube to get their jobs done. I would rather get it shipped to a real Apple facility than to these guys.

Just left there after 40 minutes and will never be back! computer experts couldnt map a printer for over 40 minutes. This was just to fill out a credit app. When I stated I would just go to do credit at Apple online, the manager became very rude and condescending. After he left, an associate apologized so I tried to talk with him about it. He finally admitted he felt I was rude for saying I would do my app through Apple. This is in your city Johnson City. Good luck.
