Every worker in the store was so friendly and attentive. I think I was asked probably three different times if I’ve been helped. And the person that was helping was very helpful! Will definitely choose this great small business over the big chains from now on!

I enjoy this store. It’s like a modern old hardware store where the people are the best part about it. Always willing to help you find or figure out what you need and are not “selling” you on something. I have bought equipment and carpet and building materials here for years. Also they will do an excellent job on small engine repair. Mr. Deakins is fantastic!

If you live in the Tri Cities and are thinking about buying a Stihl product, this is where you need to come to. Customer service does not get any better than what I received. I dealt with Bryan but in the 15 minutes that we were there, we met 2 other salespeople, the owner and the mechanic! All were helpful and nice folks. Ill gladly drive from kingsport to use this business!

The staff are exceptional at what they do and how they treat their customers. If they dont have it they will get it for you. Great selection of Stihl equipment, Milwaukee power tools, and about any other tool you need. Locally owned and operated. Way better than shopping at the big box stores! When you ask a question here, they actually respond and know what theyre taking about.

I have lived near this business for years. I thought they were basically for contractors. Was I in for a surprise!!! If I had known what this place had to offer, I definitely wouldnt have been driving through traffic across town to goto Lowes or Home Depot .The pricing is competitive to the larger stores but with much better personalized service. No getting lost in a huge warehouse-type environment. They reward customers for returning to shop there when the larger stores never give a break no matter how much you buy unless you are buying in bulk. This store has a wide variety of merchandise including flooring, cabinets, paint, electrical, plumbing, cleaning supplies...and the list goes on and on. They also do rental equipment like sanders, buffers, lawn care machines, carpet shampooers and more.I will definitely be moving my business here from the big box stores.

My wife and I will swear by AHS til we die! They made a mistake on our order and gave us our money back and then some! We are so thankful for the friendly staff there and love that its so close to the tree streets where we live. Having a hometown, locally-owned hardware store is a dying American tradition. Im glad AHS is keeping it alive.

Very crooked place. They have different prices for different customers. Overcharge by 10 times the same things you can get at Home Depot or any other electric supplier. The place is totally disorganized. The staff are incompetent and the place doesnt have most common electrical items. Avoid. One of the worst places in the city. Buyer beware. Watch how they secretly, deceptively, and cleverly overcharge you: very crooked.

This is a cool, old time feeling, hardware store that also sells a bunch of other stuff for homes (kind of reminds me of Big Johns Closeout in Elizabethton). Nice place to go when you dont want to go to a big box store. This place is a Stihl dealer. I went into this place to buy a spark plug for my Stihl weedeater and I told them what model I had but they sold me wrong sized plug. So I ended up going to Lowes to buy a plug. Not really worth driving all the way back to this place and dealing with the hassle of exchanging a $3 spark plug. Mistakes happen.. no big deal. Maybe I should have brought the old spark plug in to get the replacement. However, at Lowes I just told the boy what weedeater I had and he gave me correct spark plug.This place also has cronies hanging out behind the register. I assumed they worked there so I tried to get spark plug from them and they just looked at me like I was crazy and then told me they dont even work there. Kind of frustrating when you just want to get a spark plug and get out of there. So I had to wait for someone to come around... Got the (wrong) spark plug... Then guy disappeared... Found another guy who was behind the register but he was unable to operate the register... So finally I got checked out when another guy came around. Not going to worry about going back here and exchanging that spark plug to get my $3 back. Not worth my time and effort. I get the feeling that this place doesnt want to do business with people like me needing something small... Maybe if youre a contractor spending big money you will get better service.
