No problem with our unit but it’s very hard to speak to someone when you call. You have to wait for a call back. Going in person is the best. You may get the first month of rent free but rent quickly goes up. There is a lot of extra fees which can become very pricey.

Very pleased with everything about this facility, people and their service. I am a transplant recipient and have little to no immune system. When we arrived this past weekend to sign the paperwork and get our unit, the lady (wish I knew her name) was so friendly and accommodating. My daughter went into the office, which they have completely sanitized and set up social distancing, and setup everything. She brought the paperwork to the car where I was waiting outside to sign. The woman in the office wiped my credit card and license with wipes before returning them to us. And she cleaned the new lock, keys - everything. She was refreshingly nice, the unit is super clean and I couldn’t be happier! Well done Compass!!!

I am impressed with the customer service at Compass Self Storage on St Johns Bluff in Jacksonville, Florida. The phone manners are exceptional. They are always busy and yet they take time with you like you are their only customer. They are very personable towards their guests. I spoke with Dahvel about the availability of a unit for my size apartment and the time frame of my contract with Compass Self Storage. He was very considerate and took time with me so that I would remember the deadlines of the contract. They understand the inconveniences and trauma that moving does to people. It is a comfort to know that they are there for you to provide a place for your cherished items as you transition to your new home.

Dennis and Beth(?) were just amazing. Great rate, but they went beyond that. We had a local contact set things up for us and who met our cars being delivered and was going to meet our moving van (though we ended up meeting the van). Dennis couldnt have been nicer or more helpful to both us and our contact. She said the same thing. Then, when we were here with the van and the spot we had rented was too far in to enable the moving van to get to... so they relocated us to enable the truck. Then we needed something to cover our furniture. They loaned us some stuff. VERY COOL people.

I have rented here for a few years now and Ive had a very positive experience. The place is clean, safe and competitively priced so it works for me. Dennis and Beth are always very helpful when I need an additional unit or my payment method isnt working. I dont get late fees because they offer automatic payments- pretty easy. I am 100% satisfied... unless of course the rates get too high.

I just wanted to say that if it wasn’t for Angela Wartford, my buddy & I would not have gotten a unit here. She showed us each unit that would fit our needs and answered all our questions! Great attitude & all! Even gave us some pancakes !

If you need a storage unit.... come here. The staff members Ive met are all friendly, Ive met 3, and they try to do their best no matter what situation is at hand. I came in a week ago almost crying and the one who assisted me showed me nothing but compassion. He let me vent about my situation and actually listened. We have 2 units. I stopped by today and had a conversation with two people. Both were super nice and kind. Highly recommend!

Compass was a pleasant surprise. I just moved to the local area and was searching for a storage facility close to my house. Compass was just a round the corner. The staff was friendly and professional and the Unit I was looking for was available, easy access, clean and priced most competitively. Most important the unit is available 24x7. I actually went to this storage by mistake, and boy am I glad I did. I received Excellent and professional service. The manager Mr. Pena and his staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. I have NEVER received this type of service at a storage facility. SATISFIED CUSTOMER!

This is an unsolicited review and I am a current customer. Compass Self Storage is a family owned company with extensive experience and integrity. They treat all their customers with respect and courtesy. The local leadership is exceptional, particularly Heidi and Bil, the district manager.For those that are reading this review please ignore JB’s review. She is a former disgruntled employee that suffered from memory lapses. It is no surprise she could not learn to operate the cameras.

Got locked in one night and it only took them about 5 minutes to get me out. Would recommend them to anyone needing storage

I must say the experience and service hete is worth an all star review. From day 1 Dennis had been so nice patient and clear. The service is very pleasant and friendly. I currently have 2 units here and have no intention of leaving no time soon. I would recommend this location to anyone that need storage space.

I wouldnt give them a star if that option was available. This is a horrible place to rent a storage unit. This location had units burglarized 3 times in a matter of two weeks in May of 2019, and they couldnt even be bothered to play back the camera system, I had to ask the district Trainer how to use the cameras, 3 times I asked for a password before I got a response ( what a complete disgrace) terrible position for an employee to be placed in, very poor leadership skills and extremely unprofessional, oh and by the time someone bothered to show me the information I needed it was three weeks later, but unfortunately it was too late as they only record up to six days. I was horrified that nothing was done to prevent this from happening again, which it certainly did. These poor people lost their belongings and one was even charged a late fee on their rent, appalled. I wouldnt rent from this place because your items are not safe IMO. The management always blames the customer when a legitimate complaint is made. Do not trust this place with your belongings unless you want to risk your unit being broken into.not once, not twice but THREE times this location was broken into. They tell everyone that rents there that theyre secured with 24 hour security, I however did not, I refused to lie to people. Nocatee location told everyone for 10 months they had security before cameras were installed. I was told to tell people that at that location also. Where was the security when this happened in May at the St Johns Bluff Road location?. What a living nightmare these families had to face. Believe me, they didnt lift a single finger, my district manager told me via email that there is nothing he can do and have them just call the police. The police said they wanted to review cameras and I was given strict instructions not to allow them to. IMO this place is a disgrace for a storage space.

Very client oriented! I rented a Uhaul but central operations messed up the order which sent me to this location instead of where I actually needed to go! Michael not only helped me get to where I needed to go, he handled everything. Customer service here is very exceptional...Ivr strongly considered switching storage facilities

Awesome service!! This is the second time Ive done business through Compass and they are always friendly to deal with. They even opened their doors early a couple minutes on Saturday for my uhaul rental so i could move started earlier.

I rented a uhaul and Beth was very helpful and knowledgeable to my needs. Even though I didnt need a storage unit she let me know about the property and was very professional if I need a storage unit I will be returning to this company. Thanks Beth for your help

My bf and I used these guys for our move from a studio apartment to a 2bdrm home and they made the process super easy for us. The personnel was helpful and explained everything to where i didnt feel a need to ask any questions and I appreciate that they had multiples of each sized vehicle so I didnt have to hear that the particular vehicle wasnt there. So we got our truck and it was clean and had no mechanical issues. Once we were done and turned the truck back in to the office, the process was super quick and easy. I would definitely refer to friends!

Such friendly people here! Jaden was very personable and explained a ton of stuff to my husband and I as it is our first time with a storage unit. That being said, I dont know if they typically do this in storage facilities, but he took us on a trip on a golf cart to look at our storage unit because I was unsure of what size I would need. This proved very helpful because a 10x10 seems like a huge thing, but it ended up being the perfect size! I dont feel like Im wasting money on unused space, and it wasnt a huge tetris game trying to fit everything in! Again Jaden has a great attitude and an even better personality! Oh! And I am so happy I passed up on the mattress cover at the penske office, because the one I purchased here was only about 7 bucks for a king with tax!

The lock they gave me broke a month after use. I had to pay them $45 and wait 3 days for them to take it out.

WARNING: Terrible experience. I signed up for a promotion with two months free and they billed me for the second month and applied a late fee. Im in sales and work with new clients everyday. This is a terrible form of business misleading the customer and not honoring a promotion that was advertised. Do not do business with this business or location!WARNING: dishonest business transactions.

I couldnt imagine choosing a better place to keep my things. Dennis has been wonderful. I could of get a storage close to my home but didnt. Not every day you meet people like Dennis such of a good hearted person. Every time I have questions he had an answer for each of them. When I needed an advice about wich size of storage I needed he was patient enough to sit and figure out wich size would be better for me to have.Beth is awsome!! She is such of a nice person. Horrible service and deceptive advertisingThey do not offer billing, so I based my first payment on the contract. Did not realize it didnt include tax. The company has since billed me over $45 in late fees over a $4.99 error.They are so desperate for money they made courtesy calls on the holidays. Do not do business with them. They will hold your belongings unless you pay them a ransom.

If you are less than a week late you get a huge late fee and there is no way they will wave it. Then they just keep adding without notifying you. My child was in the hospital and I was 14 days late on my payment for only $55 a month and my account is now at over $90. $35 late fee for a $55 storage unit.. No compassion in this business. No thank you.

In the process of moving things can get quite hectic , Beth made the experience much easier, arranging adequate storage very organized, and such a clean facility will always use this location :-)
