What an awesome experience!! I needed a few things. Was helped by 4 different people. They were all very knowledgeable. I have always gone to home depot. But now Hagan Ace is the best place to go!

Oh my gosh, I wish I could come here more often period well my husband was browsing around the giant hardware store I was browsing around the well kept beautiful garden area. I had my eye on a staghorn fern but left with the most beautiful in bud Vanda orchid hanging from the ceiling. Their orchid selection was excellent in all of the plants were very very high quality regardless of what type they were. The pricing was a little high but you can expect that for top quality orchids. I mean these were teaming with blooms and buds. I feel like I graduated with this Vanda my very first of this kind. The woman who helped even manage to direct me to request a calendar for $5 off. My Vanda was $50 instead of $55. she has seven big fat beautiful buds on her. A lot of women would prefer jewelry for Christmas, but when my husband asked if I wanted it for Christmas I said yes yes! ❤️I highly recommend Hagen Ace Hardware for orchids and ferns & more. Beautiful selection and helpful service

Very friendly employees; very helpful in finding specific items; the store is bright and well-organized. The garden center is very tidy and the plants are well taken care of. It is a great shopping experience.

The last three times I have shopped at this location the service has not been up to par. I will admit, I go to this location because of the cats (one has since passed). I shrugged off the previous two visits thinking its hot, kids are younger etc. However, on Oct 22, 2021 I went to this location to purchase one thing in mind... a Traeger grill. After standing in the department that housed the BBQs and three employees passed by without even a nod my husband went in search for a representative. This young man came walking up to me with coffee cup in hand looking like I had disrupted his break.. he even put his coffee cup on the shelf. Since I felt like I was disrupting his day and by this time I was annoyed I left your location and went to the store located on Old St Augustine Road, where I purchased the Traeger, pellets, and accessories. Epic fail on your part, I would think every sale counts and matters in these trying times.

Ryan and Mitch are very knowledgeable on all of the products. They go above and beyond to give solid recommendations. I find myself going to Hagan for the smallest of things just to talk shop about fishing with them. Hagan carries a lot of Big Green Egg accessories so I find myself strolling in that area of the store as well 😂

Very nice store. Staff friendly and eager to help.(Thanks Noah!!) Prices are comparable to other places, however this place has many gardening supplies instock where others do not. A HUGE plus!!! Recommend stopping by and checking for yourself.

I have never felt the need to review a business until meeting a gentlemen, James, who successfully restored my faith in this generation. I came in today looking for basic materials for my home renovations and left thinking about how wonderful my experience was from start to finish!! True one-stop shop. I found so many things on my shopping list that I expected to have to go to several other stores for and found things that I hadnt even figured out where I would be able to find them. Plus they have a great garden section and a fab outdoor sporting gear section as well. Definitely my first place for solutions...and their staff is super friendly and helpful and they have decent prices as well.

Edit!! Went back for refund.. manager was so friendly helpful and apologetic. He (along with crazy Jennifer in garden!) Earned this 5 stars and then some.. Id give a full 10. Cant wait to come to this side of town to visit again. My new favorite store!LOVED THIS STORE SO MUCH!!! 5 STARS IF IT WASNT FOR BEING OVERCHARGED $30!!! MY MOTHER WAS ALSO OVERCHARGED TODAY! Wish there were more hardware stores like this. Very helpful employees. Store is clean as a whistle. I dont think there is nothing they dont have. If they dont, I bet they can find it.

Best Ace Hardware in Jacksonville! They have a large, incredible selection of hardware here and hard to find items that other hardware stores dont stock. The store is kept very clean and well organized. I like supporting local business as opposed to Amazon and billionaire Bezos. Its too bad I live far away or I would come here more often!

Fantastic experience buying all of my outdoor needs through Hagan Coastal Outfitters (at Hagan Ace in Mandarin). Bought a kayak (Seastream Angler 120) at a great price, and had an outstanding team of people helping me navigate to determine exactly what I wanted and what would fit my needs best. Ryan and Dennis were phenomenal. I also met the manager of the store Kevin. I cant say enough good things about these three. I got a great deal and highly recommended this place! Wowza! This place is huge! And yes, they had just what we needed for our plaster repair job. That was 3.59. But then I walked into their gift shop...and pulled out the credit card. Such a cute place with lots of unique gift options! Ill definitely be back!

I happened into this Ace and was delightfully surprised by the enormous selection of plants for sale. They had just about everything a gardner could/would need to get their fix. If you want to see some truly amazing orchids, the selection and display here was breathtaking. I never knew there were so many different species of orchids. They have fountains and other natural habitat for sale as well. As I meandered thru the rooms I came across the butterfly room, really neat. The staff was most helpful and friendly, answered questions with confidence and was worth the drive!

I had purchased a key fob last weekend for my car but was unable to get a locksmith to program it as I had to buy one from them and had to return the one I purchased last week. That was fine with Ace and they refunded my money. Plus last week when I came in with the key fob problem the man named Joseph in the key Department was extremely helpful and friendly and actually spent time trying to help me fix my broken key fob. Everyone there is so pleasant and helpful!

Their employees are not helpful and Ive seen them actively avoid helping customers. They have never enforced masks even at the start of the pandemic and most their employees wear theirs under their chins. The young woman who asked me to sign up for their rewards rolled her eyes when I agreed to it and only entered my basic info, she said Id have to come back and ask someone else to update it if I wanted to receive coupons etc. There is one young man with curly black hair who usually is the cashier when I visit, he is always very nice to me, I appreciate him! Ive always loved this Ace solely for the nursery/plant selection.

Mike D (think that es his name) was very courteous and helpful to my granddaughter and myself. He went above and beyond to help us. He helped us make our decision with the pros and cons of the item. Highly recommend this store and employee. There were 2 more employees whose name we didnt get that were helpful and friendly.

We love the pool department at Ace in Mandarin. Patty always knows exactly what we need without trying to up sell us a ton of items we dont really need. She always has answers to my questions and never makes me feel stupid for asking.

Favorite garden section. Better variety than bigger stores, more local plants and love the garden cats. Works with the local county extension office to carry varieties that will survive here unlike Lowe’s which can get lovely plants that don’t stand a chance in our Florida soil and sun.

Rodney is the best. Along with the other helpful Employees this store never fails to be friendly and go above and beyond to help you complete your project. Rodney in specific has spent over the course of three years hours teaching me about plumbing and electric. I feel very confident now to fix any house issues because of him. Thank-you.

This Ace has A good size garden/nursery center very expensive for some of the plants but some are less common than normal. Love the outdoor are area and the walk paths that lead you through.

I needed a gas operated leaf blower and knew nothing about it.... The workers at the store were very helpful and knowledgeable. They even let me try it out before I take it home. Im really happy with the purchase and I highly recommend this store to anyone who has any hardware needs. I would now choose this store over Lowes and Home Depot! Highly recommend.

My favorite hardware store in the area. There is no big box that can compare to the down home friendliness that Hagan Ace provides. It is not a big box store, but the variety and quality is equal or better than any other store. The people who work here are friendly and have a sense of community that makes it an easy place to shop and get information and products.

They have everything you need and more plus Great Service from all the staff.

Awesome selection of plants. From the conventional to the not so conventional and rare. Prices are a little steep, but it was awesome walking around the nursery area. And, I did end up buying some carnivorous plants.

Another plug for Hagan - I’ve taken my old pump to Patty at the pool counter several times for fixes and she always takes care of me. I’m reasonably handy and not afraid to replace simple things like o-rings, but the current leak was beyond me. She took care of the repairs while I was standing there, got me out in half an hour. Here in FL if you aren’t running your pump daily during the summers the pool is going to go green pretty quick, so the fast turnaround was much appreciated. Hardware is pretty much the same anywhere, it’s the super-knowledgeable employees that keep me coming back to this Ace.

I love the san jose ace location!! There are so many helpful people. We typically shop in the lawn and garden center and the last time we came in two young ladies took turns helping my husband and I find everything we needed. On top of them guiding us through the aisles, they were cashiers too! Makayla and Anna are two very hard workers that should be shown some appreciation for their awesome teamwork skills and dedication. We will definitely continue shopping here!

As far as hardware stores go, its great. Not at all like home Depot or Lowes. Not much for construction (wood brick etc.) But great for any kind of hardware. Their garden section is great. Recently updated.The staff will ask you if you need help, and usually im in and out fast, but some times I want to shop around and I bring my kid. She loves coming here which is really cool. With popcorn in hand, and a vast curiosity of what everything is, she can stay busy while I browse around. Wouldnt try that at home Depot or Lowes since they are too big, and its not kid friendly at those stores.They do a great job, bit dont expect to go there to buy an over priced refrigerator. They are not a big box stores, they are truly a hardware and garden store.

I recently bought flowers from the florist department for my wedding vow renewal. I bought flowers for my wife and two daughters. When I arrived to pick them up, they had added a boutonniere in for me-so thoughtful. When I was leaving, Sondra had heard I was surprising my wife with the renewals and said some very kind and sweet words to me. None of these things were expected, but were done by the kindness of the employees. Thank you so much!

I just love this particular location. It is close to home and easily accessible via San Jose Blvd. The staff are very helpful and pleasant.Ace hardware has a very good selection. There always a staff member close by that can help you find what you are looking for or help you figure out how to complete a project. Unlike a big box store you do not have to look for help they are there.

It is always a fun experience going through the garden center here. I was hoping to see a bit more shade varieties than what was out on display. Lovely mix of crotons and the sale on bulbs was great. Because not everything is labelled I may have missed them but I was only able to find one single hosta which was shocking to me haha maybe they arent as popular anymore?Not sure if a customer went through and jostled them but it seemed like a lot of the displayed product wasnt in the correct locations (ie. Jalapeño peppers where the sign for poblano was, individual labels not matching the signs/tray labels, etc. Just makes it more confusing for those of us that arent as familiar with what each variety looks like.Now of course I could definitely flag down associates to get clarity of what is what. But with the large square footage, a long shopping list of plant names to look at, and not well labelled displays I would be asking them every 2 feet if a certain plant was x, y, z type of plant. I personally dont want to be dragging someone around while I am browsing so if there was a better way of just having some tags at the end of the table listing what was on it that would help. Everything was priced clearly, it was just difficult to know WHAT you were paying for other than the general sections of shade loving, full sun , succulents etc.

Ace is a nice store and I visit there frequently. However, based on my last experience, I wonder how often they check safety issues. As my son was parking the car, I went to get a cart from outside the store. The plastic on the handle was broken and sharp and surrounded by rusty metal. I started through the automatic doors with the basket, but decided to change it due to the broken handle. As I backed out of the automatic doors, they started to close on me. Fortunately, by that time my son approached the store and helped me. There were employees around, but none really expressed concern. I will continue to shop at Ace, but really hope safety becomes a priority.

I dont come here often, but theyve always had what I was looking for. I most commonly purchase salt pellets for the water softener. You buy them at the register, then drive around back to pick them up. When doing so, ENTER FROM THE SOUTH SIDE! Its ONE WAY! :)

Great customer service. I went looking for a particular item but couldnt find it anywhere. I asked one of the associates for assistance and he went above and beyond to help my find exactly what I needed. He had a hard time finding it at first but in the end I walked out a very satisfied customer with exactly the item I came for in the first place. Wish I would have gotten the associates name.

Plants in the garden center are great. Phenomenal orchid display in the greenhouse. Garden manager, Debbie Tucker, is knowledgeable, personable and she is wonderful to work with building a garden and landscaping.

Not that I go around visiting Ace hardwares and rating them. Lol but this is a fantastic place to go not just for your hardware and things to that nature. The products they carry are the same top notch maybe a little overpriced but you get what you pay for.

I have been a very frequent, and very satisfied, customer of my local Hagan Ace store since I moved to the area 6 years ago. When I went there yesterday, however, I was extremely upset to see that, in spite of the mask orders in affect, that one of the cashiers and two workers who were installing a display wore no masks. If customer satisfaction is such a primary concern for this store, then how can customer safety not be?
